Het vulkanische eiland Santorini ligt ten noorden van Kreta. En deze dagtocht met de snelle catamaran is een mooie kans om het eens van dichtbij te zien. Het eiland ligt rond een kolossale krater met zee dat is ontstaan door een vulkaanuitbarsting 3.500 jaar geleden. Het is één en al zwarte kliffen met witgekalkte huizen en kerken met blauwe koepels: alsof het zo uit een ansichtkaart van Griekenland is gestapt.Daar aangekomen, verken je de bezienswaardigheden van het eiland en hoor je tijdens de tour alles over zijn geschiedenis. Je bezoekt een dorp dat op de rand van de klif ligt, waar de witte huizen, geplaveide straten en tavernes als een waterval naar beneden lopen.Daarna heb je vrije tijd in zowel Oia, de hoofdstad en Fira. Trek een uurtje uit om wat leuks te kopen in de leuke winkeltjes en boetiekjes. Of bezoek enkele van de beste uitkijkpunten om foto's te maken – het uitzicht over de caldera is geweldig. Perfect voor selfies.

The excursion was organised so well from bus pick up at our hotel to the boat trip to our tour guide waiting for us at Santorini. The tour guide Bruno was great & very knowledgeable!
We had two hours in each stop in Santorini which was enough time to explore & lunch. Would highly recommend!

I was a little disappointed with the organisation of this trip. The pick up was great and on time. The port? So buying this trip it said best the queues. Instead we were herded like cattle at the port both sides. There was no rep/guide. Directions were unclear. No seating whilst we waited which for me isn’t a problem but had my 80 year old mother come with me it would have been a disaster. Coming back the situation was worse as we had to stand for over an hour in a crowded port. i could go on!

That travel arrangements & transport was good. The time spent at each Town was to short. We only had 1.5 hrs at each. We was told we would spend more time in each Town when booking.

A few key things need to change - the price. It’s not worth the near £300 you pay. £13.50 pp each way for the boat to Santorini and 240 on what? Then there is a £40 additional cost for the volcano addition which at £20pp - the TUI offering was one of the only offerings which didn’t have any pre packed lunch or snacks provided. Speaking to other people on the tour who got such things. - not enough time to see Thira have lunch and do the volcano visit. It’s either thira or volcano. -

The journey - coach and catamaran, both ways, was faultless and the guide fantastic albeit it was a lot of travel for not a lot of time during two separate stops at Santorini. We would've liked more time on the island but we still had a great time and saw beautiful sights

It was a long day, with an early start, but so glad we decided to go. Pickup from hotel on time. Seajet boat transfers were on time, comfortable & safe. Coach picked us up from the port and Bruno was a fantastic bilingual tour guide (German/English). Oia was one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited, picture postcard at every turn. Would have liked more time in Oia and less time in Fira, but overall it was an excellent day and would do it again. It’s worth going just to visit Oia!

So the early pick up at 6.25 we only got minimal breakfast with no tea or coffee, chaos at the port as no one was told where to go, eventually found the lady on a desk dealing with Tui bookings. Boat crossing ok at 2 hrs although 6 euros per person for WiFi. Guide was very good but very little to actually see in Santorini, the return journey was over 4 hrs which no one mentioned, total silence in the coach as everyone was angry especially those with kids, got to the hotel at 21.45 so no food.

The Sea Jet was a very comfortable and spacious ferry... A bit expensive for food and drink but we enjoyed it. Spacious seats... Plenty legroom...the top deck was really windy and felt amazing in the heat... Only felt a slight movement...

The guide was great, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful we could not ask for more. Less time spent in Fira, more in Oia. Time felt rushed in Oia less than 1 hr 30 to look around the town. collection from our hotel and transfer was smooth, On reaching port we were given no direction where to go with masses of other tourists or which queue to join. The ferry was smooth, getting on the ferry was dangerous walking through the cargo hold, waiting for 20 mins to go up stairs whilst it was moving

What can't be avoided due to the amount of travelling is that in parts you can feel very rushed. You’d think that an hour & a half here, 2.5 hours there you might not but it slips through your fingers quickly when tackling the throngs of tourists. It can feel like a whirlwind photo visit. We very much enjoyed sitting down for lunch at a restaurant, taking in the views and relaxing. The place is gorgeous and the guide was great. Really enjoyed his commentary on the bus.

Ferry was late coming into santorini to collect us, should have departed at 4pm but did not arrive until 4.45pm so journey delayed by 1 hour. There was no explanation at the port or reason given by captain. No clear instruction on where to wait and insufficient shade for the vast number of tourists.

Coach travel excellent, brilliant tour guide at Santorini.He was knowledgeable , friendly & funny. The relief lady tour rep that joined our coach as our original tour guide took a party on the volcano trip, was not so helpful.We arrived at the port for departure and all she said was gate 4. We all assumed gate 4 would be between gates 3 & 5.We were all frantically running up and down trying to find it. Eventually found behind us.We all got loaded on boat like cattle.100,s of us.It was chaos.

Something to tick of the bucket list, not as I expected from seeing photos of Santorini, EXTREMELY busy full of tourists, you only get around 3/4 hours free time the rest is on transfers 2 hour ferry and with the guide, glad I’ve been but wouldn’t go again, trip was well organised helpful guide

Amazing trip, yed a long day but soo worth it. The guide was very informative and made sure the day kept on track. A little more information at the start to say how we would work out where to go when we get off the boat, luckily we saw guests from our bus so followed them as no instructions had been given.

Our tour on Santorini was so friendly, approachable, funny and informative. He reminded us of a Greek Brendan from Coach Trip - which is a good thing! The early start was quite stressful as we struggled getting out of the hotel and the coach was 20 minutes late but this was soon all forgotten with the whole experience. Included where the transfers (coaches and ferry), a guided tour, a visit to Oia and Fira with plenty of free time in both towns to explore. Lunch included would have been a bonus!

Guides on tge Santorini side were good, but tge information from tge Cretian guide was not existent. She basically left everyone to work out what to do by themselves. Tge trip itself was spectacular grat views and service from all on Santorini.

The tui rep at the start of the trip was so slow thought we were going to miss the ferry. Once we got to Santarini the tour guide was brilliant. The views in Santarini were spectacular. Well worth going. On the way back the ferry was so disorganised that we spent half an hour in the cargo hold waiting to get upstairs to our seats.

Such a lovely day trip to this beautiful island, very well organised and our guide was absolutely brilliant and funny. But if you fancy the boat trip to the volcanic islands (take a swimsuit with you) I’d recommend booking a 2 day trip otherwise it will be too rushed as you only get about an hour in each town which is just not enough with how busy these places get. But this trip is a must while visiting Crete!

Firstly when we arrived at Port Heraklion we were ‘left to our own devices’ so we all started walking towards the boat but were then told to join a queue. We queued for 10 minutes and then when we reached the front were told that this ‘wasn’t the TUI queue’. When we arrived in Oia we were only given 1hr 30mins to explore the area which wasn’t enough time. When we got back to Santorini Port we were made to wait outside in the heat for 45 mins. There’s more cons but I’ve ran out of characters!

Coach half hour late to pick us up, as have to wait at back of hotel received no message. Not told when could book volcano trip, so just told on coach we were not going as was swimming trip to hot springs and no one had swimming stuff. Very very busy, warned about pick pockets, chaotic getting on and off ferry lots of people throwing up on way there!

Enjoyed: it was very pretty and we really enjoyed the additional volcano excursion (€20 euro per person) Not like as much: the travel to the island is on a commercial ferry, which we weren't expecting. The entire ferry experience there and back was awful. It was chaotic, very very busy and it was unclear what we were supposed to do. We were not aware what the transport was going to be and it has cast a shadow on the whole excursion. The island itself is very pretty, but very very busy also.

Very disappointed with the misleading information about the trip. Stated that travel to the island is by catamaran when in fact it is by a car and passenger ferry. One of the main reasons I booked the trip was the expected experience of sailing in a catamaran. I really don’t think I would have booked the trip had this been explained on the booking website. Another false statement made was that I could book the optional trip to visit the volcano on the boat but there was bo facility onboard to allow me to do this. Another misleading statement was that there would be a guided tour on the island but once again this did not happen as we left on our own to explore the island. Whilst we enjoyed the beauty of the island the trip was totally different to what the booking information states. As I said if the true facts of the trip were explained clearly and accurately I don’t think I would have gone on the trip. It was very expensive and because of the inaccurate information if I was aware of the true facts of the trip I would not have booked it. I feel very let down, angry and frustrated and strongly recommend that the pre booking information is updated to reflect what you are actually getting for your money.

Santorini is absolutely beautiful. I imagine it’s busy in the height of Summer but October half term was perfect. Our guide Maria was extremely knowledgeable but also had a great sense of humour and was friendly and approachable. Such a good day, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Trip by normal ferry onto a bus to Oia nothing special so far! Dropped at location then left to find out for ourselves what to look for! Lunch was awful shouldn’t have taken guides advice. Then left to walk around until the bus back to the ferry apart from the blue domes nothing special in this trip

No real break down of what the day was gonna be like at all. The description said a catamaran boat we ended up on a massively overcrowded ferry where most passengers were not made to wear face masks. The whole trip felt rushed and for the money we paid for it we all left very disappointed.

Santorini is beautiful, tour guide was great He also recommended a great place for lunch.
It was a very long day, 6:30 pick up time from hotel in Crete and didn’t arrive at the first stop in Santorini until 11:45. Back on the coach at 4pm arriving at the hotel at 20:45. Not worth it in my opinion
