De parelwitte stranden en het helderblauwe water, door pijnbossen bedekte heuvels en witgekalkte dorpen die in geen eeuwen zijn veranderd: Kefalonia biedt een aantal van de mooiste landschappen van Griekenland. En de beste manier om die te verkennen is met deze off-road excursie. De hoofdrolspelers van deze dag zijn het nationaal park van de berg Ainos, de berg Roudhi en de vallei van Omala.Vandaag klim je in een 4x4 om plaatsen te bekijken waar je met een gewone auto of bus niet komt. Je stuitert door het ruige landschap, waarbij je verweerde kliffen en velden vol wilde bloemen passeert. Je ziet misschien zelfs de beroemde wilde paarden van het eiland. En je rijdt ook nog door het nationale park van het Ainos gebergte en langs een spookdorp dat is verlaten na de verwoestende aardbeving van 1953. De berg Roudhi staat ook op het programma.De chauffeur neemt je mee over de mooiste kustroutes, dus gegarandeerd geweldige panorama's. Dan rij je ook nog eens naar de vallei van Omala om de Aghia Varvara kerk te bezoeken. En je sluit de dag af uitgestrekt op het strand.

Vehicle should come with a step stool to help get in and out. You advertise going to a beach? Nothing was mentioned, we went to a bee keeping place. This was really interesting though. The driver we had George was an absolute delight and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this trip.

My Son and I went on the Outdoor Kefalonia jeep safari and it was the best day of our holiday. Alex and George were fantastic, funny and very informative. But my 16 year old autistic son told them information they never knew and they was very grateful. We stopped off several times visiting many places off road and on road. I would definitely recommend this trip if you like something a little bit different to the norm.

All adverts state transfer included, not true if staying in Lixouri as you have to get yourself to Argostoli. Also stated ending the day on the beach - also not true as we had a swim stop in an underground cave. Never the less a good day out taking you to places you could never get to otherwise. Very knowledgeable guides make the experience.

It was great fun although scary at times on the mountain roads but worth it to see the views. Had a great experience. Giorgio was knowledgeable and very friendly and funny. All the places he took us were fabulous.The drone was good for the videos. Would recommend but not for the infirm

George was a great host, funny, friendly and informative. He took us to some great places out of the way of the usual tourist spots. The only downside was spending an hour and a half in a cafe. At 11.30am I didn’t want to eat lunch and the coffee we had was €1.50 more expensive than the ones we’d had in the resort. I felt this was a waste of time and slightly resented the over pricing. The excursion was advertised with a snack and this was reiterated by the reps. It insinuates a snack would be provided. Maybe include a tea, coffee or soft drink which would probably encourage people to but more, but instead felt slightly ripped off paying €9 for 2 coffees and water. Other than that it was a great trip.

Trip was great, however Tui's excursion info needs updating:
Tour is only half day, not full day - I was back at my hotel by 2pm
Snack was not included, no chance to buy lunch on excursion
Recommend bringing something warm to wear

A really fun and interesting day out, seeing parts of the island you wouldn't see on a main tour or by hire car alone.
George, the guide/driver was excellent, I haven't laughed so much and learnt so much about island life.
A highly recommended day!
