Een exotische mix van het bekende en het ongewone, Gibraltar is een must-visit. Op deze tour zie je alle topattracties - de berberapen van de rots, de grot van Saint Michael en Main Street. Rosa, een van onze lokale gidsen, zegt: "Gibraltar is een van de meest onverwachte cultuurschokken die ik ooit ben tegengekomen. Het voelt als mijn geboorteland Andalusië, maar alles ziet er Brits uit. Ronddwalen en luisteren naar de lokale bevolking die praat in hun schattige dialect is altijd een genot.'Het begint al meteen goed met een rondleiding over de Rock van Gibraltar. De rots torent 426 meter boven de Middellandse Zee uit en de steile hellingen lijken ontmoedigend. Maar je bekijkt het vanuit een comfortabele een minibus. De eerste halte is het monumentale Europa Point, een populaire plek die vraagt om een selfie. In het natuurreservaat Upper Rock ontmoet je de vrij rondlopende berberapen - de enige wilde apen van Europa. Op een heldere dag kijk je helemaal tot Afrika. De volgende stop is de St Michael's Cave. Ooit leefden hier Neanderthalers en werd het gebruikt als oorlogshospitaal tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Nu luister je er sfeervol naar de mooiste muziekconcerten. Terug op de begane grond heeft het stadscentrum van Gibraltar een duidelijk Britse uitstraling, of het nu gaat om de meer voor de hand liggende rode telefoon- en postbussen of de kleine details, zoals de gewelfde Georgian deurkozijnen. Smul van een pasteitje of misschien van fish and chips voor de lunch, voordat je je gaat bezighouden met shoppen. Je leeft je uit in Main Street, waar veel van de Britse winkelketens hun verkooppunten hebben en dat beroemd is om zijn belastingvrije winkels.

Travel to and from Gibraltar took almost 3 hours which we thought was very ling for the amount of time we got there. A slower route for hotel pick ups was mainly the cause if this. We felt that we had enough time to have lunch and a walk around the town but when it came to the rock and cave tour we had very little time and were on the click "you've got to be back on the bus in 10 minutes!" Doesn't make it a nice experience.

The trip to Gibraltar was great and Sonya the tour guide was fantastic with all of her local knowledge.
We travelled from Torremolinos which was quite a way from the destination 3 hours on the coach each way but still had a fantastic tour

Too rushed and because most of bus did not want to stop at final view point on the rock we were not allowed this opportunity.rushed back to central Gibraltar to have another 2 hours that time could have been added on when we first arrived have some limited minor mobilty issues this extra time would have been a godsend in the am not pm part of the trip.

The bus stop pick-up point could be made clearer. We had to ask the security near our hotel to clarify where to go. Whilst on the coach, the guide spoke in three different languages to cater for different nationalities, which is great and very informative, but the whole journey felt like a lot of talking, so you couldn't relax. The guide was lovely and enthusiastic, so we cannot fault him. Despite this, the trip was very enjoyable with some time to shop, visit the cave and see the monkeys!

The bus was cramped with 21 of us in a bus of 22 seats. The front seats where I was sat had a raised leg shelf so was uncomfortable for the trip which led to leg pain the next day. Other than that it was great!!

We started the day with non Tui coach. Crumbs/litter/non adjusting seats, 1 in sleep mode. Asked to move seats for German passengers. No idea why. Guide declares 2 missing. Never determined which 2. We waited 20 mins. Nothing. Now well behind. Driver no list for pick ups! Mic didn't work for guide! Guide sorted Tui coach - they had all been on Cruise duty. Great thereafter except nowhere near 5 hours in Gibralter as we srrived late, left early. Still 11 hour day! Mic didn't work. Dri

First driver very erratic and did not know way around pick ups. luckily mic did not work on bus so we had to change bus and thankfully we also got a new driver. Second driver very good. Day saved by tour of Gibraltar rock which was very good. Not a lot of free time in Gibraltar, just enough for a quick drink. Along day 07.45 pick up 18.30 drop off. Guide good but had to do all announcements in three languages so abit tedious

Guide spoke a little fast in all her languages but very nice and helpful. Might have been nice is the tour was escorted and maybe a walk around the various sites of interest. Guide for the Rock part was very good and cheerful. interesting to see how much it had changed since my last visit. Now has a tour of the caves and a visitor centre.

We felt the rock tour in the minibus was rushed. Despite the awful weather, we'd have liked a little longer at each stop especially the caves. We'd had a short stop to look around the town, have lunch and shop due to a 4 hour trip to get there and would have liked to pause for longer. The driver was excellent. He was knowledgeable, funny and entertaining.

Absolutely fantastic day. Lovely place to visit. Our guide on jupirney was lovely and pur tour guide on tje rock Kaylan was just superb. Funny, informative and really nice. Made the day for us. The caves, just wow! Woukd have liked more time there and with the monkeys. That was the only drawback to a brilliant day all round. Thanks to everyone involved

Our TUI guide was great very hard working man very organised. Customs was not too bad took about 15 - 20 minutes to get through The trip was spoilt by our guide for the rock minibus tour did not turn up, we had to wait 20 minutes for a stand in guide, who was a vey knowledgeable person full of good info. Because we were already 20 minutes behind schedule and some people on the bus had a dolphin trip booked the time spent on the rock was rushed, could of been a lot better.

Alles was ok, behalve de busrit zelf, we zaten in een koelkast. Berekoud gehad de lange heen- en terugrit. Na vragen om de airco wat minder te zetten, énkel 10’, daarna terug volle bak bevriezen… Heb dan maar een pull gekocht in Gibraltar, maar ook met pull was het om te bevriezen…

I felt the overall day was very good. The border crossing was very quick both ways. I did feel a little rushed on the tour Around Gibraltar. Maybe would be good that people who book the dolphin tour on a separate bus so that we were not rushed as much.

We're so glad we went on the experience, couldn't find any fault with anything. The coach arrived at our hotel on time, The guide and driver were both friendly and professional, the rock tour was amazing, our guide for that was informative with good humoured fun and facts throughout. We had a very enjoyable time and would recommend it to future travellers. 10/10 from me.

We went to Gibraltar on a day tour from our hotel in Cost de Sol, it was a shopping and caves visit. The shopping area was on the' Main Road' a very long stree with dozens of shops jewlers , wine and spirit shops, cloths shops etc, If you like shopping you will have an interesting few hours. We walked to the main square where there were several resteraunts where we had lunch. There were many more attractions to see. A great family day out. Great ?? TUI rep excellent knowledge???? ?? ????

Great tour. Both guides were lovely and interesting. Bit of a shambles waiting on our minibuses for the tour but once we got going , it was good. Lost some time due to this so your was rushed at parts in order to get back for the people doing the boat trip.

Fantastic guide from resort to Gibraltar although pickup was 25 minutes late, and quick and efficient border crossing. The mini bus tour up the rock was extremely rushed only very few minutes at each stop . Eg Saint Michael's cave we were given between 6 and 8 minutes only a very quick walk through the caves and because I stopped to use the toilet was the last one back to the minibus. I The two + hours spent in the town was too long . Would have been better with an slower paced Rock tour

Det stod bussen ville være på holdeplass v/hotellet eksakt på klokkeslett! Etter et drøyt kvarter forsinket måtte vi ringe TUI for å sjekke. Da fikk vi hjelp og tilbakemelding at bussen var forsinket…. Og etter nok mere venting kom bussen. Med SÅ mye meldinger og mail fra TUI totalt sett kunne det ha kommet en da vi trengte det som mest!!

Enjoyed our visit to Gibraltar and The Rock tour. As mentioned before on reviews , long transfer, lots of hotel stops . Which probably has to be to make the trip viable. Very quick visit at each stop. Which made it feel rushed . Personally, I think tui should extend return pick up to 6pm not 4pm. Enjoyed the trip overall, with a little time for duty free shopping.

The coach picks you up at the hotel, it takes you to Gibraltar customs where you have a short walk through, the coach is the other side and you are then taken to a large car coach park meters from the city wall and go about your individual different types of Gibraltar tours. I had the one with free time around town and had to go back to the coach park where smaller mini buses picked us up to tour the rock. That took us about half way up and we saw Monkeys, the cave which was great.

Fantastic experience well worth the money, TUI guide was lovely very informative and polite, and friendly, the tour guide for the top of the rock, monkey and cave tour was also amazing, we got to good shopping periods first on arrival around lunch time 11-12.30 and then 2.30-4.30 more than enough for lunch, to explore main street/shop. We saw plenty of very cute fluffy monkeys and were held breathless by the angel rock in St michals caves. Overall a great day out I'd recommend !

The experience was thoroughly enjoyed by all in our party. The only minor issue was on the coach when listening to the guide. We were joined by a trio of Tui reps who sat in front if us and talked continually which made it difficult to hear everything our guide was saying. Just a minor point but we would have expected a little more consideration from Tui staff. Both the Tui guide (Fred) and the Rock Tour guide guide (Gary) were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and entertaining.

Not having been to Gibraltar before I had assumed this tour included going up to the top of the rock on the cable car so was very disappointed that was not included. I wish I had known as I would have gone back on my own and done that.

The rock tour and the caves were good and we saw the apes The downside was the border control coming back it took around 45mins queueing which is no good for the elderly or infirm

The guide Sonia was amazing! Kept us laughing and she is a wonderful person! The coach ride was enjoyable, they stopped for toilets which was very nice Our rock tour guide, Angel, was also amazing! Great sense of humour and kept us laughing, but also very useful information and knowledgeable about Gibraltar St Michaels cave was stunning. I did however think that there was a stop after st Michael's cave to see more monkeys, but this wasn't the case. We only ended up seeing a couple of them

We had a lovely day which included the rock tour. Which I am glad we did as it broke the day up. The only thing was we got picked up just after 8 and then we went to Marbella to pick up lots of others. So many pick ups that it took almost 3 hours to get there. They did do a toilet stop

Great Guide (Made the day a little long having to listen to the tour in two languages though) Fascinating island - Would have been nice to have had a littlwe more time in cave/with apes instead of shopping. Overall great experience

Only annoying thing waiting for people that have not remembered there passports or don't turn up. Coach waited 20mins + at one stop then the people didn't turn up for the excersion annoying waste of the day Not a Tui issue or reflection on the service

Good excursion. Adequate time in the am for shopping and lunch. The highlight was the minibus tour of the rock in the afternoon. The local guide did a great job. Didn't like the fact that our pick up in the morning was 20 mins later than advertised with no apology from the Tui guide. Also, she spent a lot of time talking with just one family, regaling them with stories of visitors from another trip and then quoted one of them, saying in English "F****ing **********" Very unprofessional.

Lovely trip. As all guided trips, it doesn’t leave much room for flexibility, but you will have enough free time for shopping and exploring old town. I feel time on the Rock could have been extended a little, but again this wasn’t self-guided tour. TUI guide staff very knowledgeable, but mini bus guide smashed it! Absolutely great and unique person (sorry forgot his name). Overall well worth it.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the tour. The only negative was that we couldn't be picked up from our hotel, which we didn't find out until after we'd booked. Going across an open iron footbridge over the dual carriageway to board the coach wasn't an option for us, but thankfully the hotel receptionist booked a taxi for us and vey kindly explained to the driver where we need to go.

Excellent tour guide and knowledge of Gibraltar was very good. Preferred if we were on an English speaking tour as had to listen to 3 different languages to tell us the same thing. But overall enjoyed our trip and was a long day.

Too many pick up from various hotels, too long on coach, instead of two coaches picking up at same hotel take all the guests from one hotel. Long long queue at border and UK residents treated like second class citizens told to wait at the side so that the EU could go through. The rock tour was good, I didn't rate the shops every second shop was a chemist
