Tijdens deze 4x4 dagtocht vol actie ga je off-road dwars door de ongerepte landschappen van Boa Vista. Roberto, een van onze lokale gidsen, zegt: "De Viana woestijn is Boa Vista's eigen stukje Sahara. Het zand wordt aangevoerd vanuit West-Afrika en we rijden de enorme duinen op en af". Je bezoekt verder het scheepswrak op het strand van Santa Maria en stopt bij het dorp Sal Rei en Povoaçao Velha. En er is tijd voor ontspanning met een lunch aan zee.In de Viana woestijn ga je helemaal los. Als je in een 4x4 over de zandduinen scheurt voel je de wind in je haren. Daarna neem je een kijkje bij het roestige scheepswrak van Cabo de Santa Maria – hét symbool van Boa Vista. Roberto zegt: "Er zijn ongeveer 150 scheepswrakken op de eilanden van Kaapverdië, maar dit is het meest mysterieuze wrak van allemaal. Het is ook een geweldige plek om een selfie te nemen. Je maakt een korte stop in Sal Rei om een blik te werpen op de visserspier van de hoofdstad. En daarna smul je van een lunch met lokale specialiteiten in een nabijgelegen strandrestaurant."Dan staat Povoaçao Velha, de oudste nederzetting van het eiland, op het programma. Je krijgt de gelegenheid om wat rond te kijken in dit afgelegen gehucht en je onder de lokale bevolking te mengen. Dan is het alweer tijd voor je laatste stop: het strand van Santa Monica. Met 15 km aan wit zand en golvende duinen staat dit strand in de top 10 van de mooiste stranden ter wereld. De perfecte plek om deze tocht af te sluiten.

Loved the whole experience - Paolo our guide made the whole trip even better. You do have to sit sideways in the back of the 4x4 but it’s worth it. Great to see the sights and spend time out on the beach. The beachfront lunch spot was beautiful and the food lovely and fresh. Definitely would recommend this trip.

spent a lovely day exploring boa vista. there are several notable stops on this trip including the coastal beaches and inland desert. the convoy of 4x4 gets you to places that would otherwise be difficult to reach. the guiding was of a high standard and the vehicles were immaculately cleaned at every opportunity.

Paolo was amazing!! He made the whole experience so enjoyable, he told us lots about the islands and was very knowledgeable. The drivers were great and made sure we all felt safe on the journey. I had an issue with the seatbelt (it wouldn’t tighten), our driver tried his best but unfortunately we couldn’t fix it - not a problem as our driver was very careful. We had the most amazing experience and would recommend. All I would say is that it would be good to know the menu options ahead of time.

The Jeeps were too Crowded we didn’t have any room to put bags or move our feet I got pins and needles The Description on your website makes it sound like such a good tour but in reality it’s poor 1st stop was Sand Dunes We then went to Shipwreck spent far too long there Then went to Capital Sel Reí was only given 20 mins not enough time to explore this Capital Town Then went for lunch at a Beach again spent too long there and onto another beach nothing there I would Not recommend this trip

The trip was great however the last stop on the beach was an hour and we had no drinks no toilet no water no food We were not told we would have to sit in the beach for an hour with no toilet or drinks in 30 plus degrees Apart from that it was a good day Our guide winston was very good

Paulo sorry if I have spelt it wrong was fantastic as for the trip in the 4x4 was a bit cramped especially if you are a large framed person . The shipwreck is nearly gone so not worth seeing the hour on the beach would’ve been better going to the museum. Sand boarding was fun , lunch was lovely nice view & food the visit to the chapel was nice & the views were beautiful

Can't really fault this experience. We had a fantastic day out. Our guide was excellent (Wilson) very informative and asked if we had any questions. our driver (Odgio? Looked like Usher!) was superb, very conscientious and we felt very safe with him behind the wheel. We saw some amazing things the Shipwreck, tiny Chappel and a dip in the sea at Santa Monica beach which was stunning. I would highly recommend this experience. Would I do this again?, absolutely, in a heart beat.

Jailson was our tour guide we were lucky he was in our vehicle. The other vehicles that were on tour with us has no guide, just Jailson when we stopped. We went to a village (chapel) then walked to a square set up as a tourist trap. On to sand-boarding and a drink. Sal Rei, parked in an awkward place for half an hr which isn’t enough to do much. Harassed by locals.Then shipwreck, which is amazing. Then lunch. Was okay, beach it was on was beautiful. Then sunbathing for an hr. Very rocky and wavy

Brilliant driver and guide. Very friendly and informed . Great varied day out showing all the sights of Boa Vista. Stunning beaches. If you have long legs or any mobility problems it would be best to try seating before you go as it can be a bit bumpy and cramped on the bench seat . Excellent lunch and free drink. Sandboarding fun and a free drink.

Knowledgeable and great guide. Stop off in the Viana desert for some surprising sandboarding.... them off to Sahta Maria beach to see a shipwreck. The beach is stunning and I would have liked more time here but there are no facilities so I can understand the very short time here. Next stop a small village and chapel visit. Lunch was lovely before Sal Rei and time to spend at the beautiful Santa Monica beach. This beach stop at the end was well needed it's a long, hot but beautiful day

Great day out visiting most of the prominent sites, starting at the desert with sand boarding super fun! Then off to the diminished boat wreck which is shrinking, then to the main town to view the local atmosphere. Lunch at a great restaurant food tasty and free drinks, then off to oldest village good look around the church and informative talk from Stefon the local rep. Then the saint Monica beach for swimming altogether a great day out that takes around 7-8 hours good fun ! Buy on app !!

What a great day out, and a great way to combine activities and see the sights. We really enjoyed off roading in the jeep and sand boarding down the dunes was great fun. It was great to explore the island and see the shipwreck and a bit more of the interior of the island. Our guide Stefan was really knowledgable and looked after us well. The only downside was wandering around the main town on our own - we weren't pestered much we just didn't really know where to go or what to do.

The vehicles really need to be changed to something where the seating is forward facing, sitting in the back of a Toyota Landcruiser with all the seating, (8) in total side on is not comfortable and there is barely any padding for your back and limited space for your legs. My back has got a bit of bruising from the trip. Driving over dunes is a bit of an exaggeration, yes there is a bit of sand you go over, but most of it is off road over rocky tracks. I get the title 4x4 off-road title but…….

Guide Paolo with driver Fransico was excellent. Good fun lots of information. Enjoyed the wreck , the sand dunes , the visit to Sal Rei could be more looking around quite short time . Lunch was great . The beach at Santa Monica was beautiful.

Good 4x4 trip. Went to the Shipwreck beach in the morning, followed by lunch in the Morabeza Beach Bar (good fish !), and then swimming in the afternoon, at a beach whcih you could only get to by jeep. Recommended.

We enjoyed the day which covered a lot of the sights on the island. The staff were helpful and friendly. The 4x4 was a bit of a squash and would have been better with fewer people, it felt crammed and hot. The trip to Sal was not great but the lunch was very good and the beaches were stunning. A worthwhile trip to see Boa Vista

Our guide and driver were excellent the whole trip was fun. Would have liked more comfortable front facing seats so as to get better photos. Also air-conditioning in the vehicle would have been nice as it got quite dusty with the windows open.

We loved the variety of the entire day; from sand boarding in the morning to visiting the shipwreck, church and swimming in the sea. The food was delicious and the guide and driver were both very informative and knowledgeable. Overall, a thoroughly brilliant day out!

I enjoyed the overall day , but when I booked the trip in England I wasn’t given a choice of food luckily a gentleman on the trip was going to give me his if I got fish , I think I should have been asked. I didn’t like the photo men I think we should have been explained about him how much and if I give him the right to take photos of myself and husband we did get some photos at 30 euros for 4 photos a rip off and if that is what TUI is promoting well it was a disgrace

There was a very large lady in the 4x4 and I think she should have been given the front seat to make more room for the rest of us, as space was very tight. Lunch took ages to arrive so part of the trip was then missed out. We weren’t told this at the time. It would have been nice to be given options.

Igor our driver was great. Paulo kept the motto no stress going with a smile on his face and lots of joking. Saw a lot but would have loved to be told a little bit more of the history of the island and what people do in general on the island in order to live and survive.

A great day out, seems to be a mix of other trips all rolled into one. Started off with sand boarding, then a stop for refreshments. Then a dune drive to the beach to see the shipwreck. Unfortunately the sea was too rough to enter to get closer to the wreck. Next was lunch. Food and service was fantastic. Next onto the village to view a chapel and finally to the beach for a swim. The sea was very rough where we could swim and it would have been better to swim at the lunch beach.

It was exactly what it said it was. Showing you the island, beaches and towns, seeing how the locals live. We were lucky as the schools where out on holiday and it was great see the children playing in the sea as the local people went about their daily jobs.

Sandboarding was fun, but a very short run. Main guide was friendly and helpful, but not very knowledgeable. Lunch was very good Driver didn't communicate. Didn't stop in Rabil, despite oldest church being there. Church stop not very interesting. Only 35 minutes at Santa Monica Beach. Back at hotel early, so more time could have been allocated to the beach.

Great
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and seeing lots of the island in one go. Transport was slightly uncomfortable for the prolonged periods of driving. Guide and driver were fantastic, very knowledgeable and made the experience very enjoyable. Food was basic but tasty. If you want just one trip I would recommend this as you see several things in one go.

Was it worth it yes but a long tiring day. Tour guide and our driver were brilliant and made the day good fun. Beware of the vehicles though. You are sat on side benches in the back. Can get uncomfortable if you’re tall and a numb bum. I suppose it’s all part of the off road experience though. The last beach stop be careful if going into the water because it looked more dangerous than the hotel one were there are lifeguards and it appeared rougher. All in all a good day.

The tui rep was lovely. Need to be advised that sea could not be swimmable. We had our photos taken all through the tour by photographer. We have paid for them but have not received them by email yet as promised. He was among the tui reps so assume he should have been there!!

Pickup was prompt and Carlos the guide explained all parts of the trip. Lunch was good. When in Sal Rei the free time we felt intimated as we were constantly approached by locals trying to scam us would have been nice to be told about this before being dropped off but overall we enjoyed the trip and visiting area of the resort

Our guide Paolo was very knowledgeable and interacted well with the group. He told us all about the island and also about the sustainability projects that TUI support on the island. We enjoyed visiting the wreck and Sal rei. Lunch was excellent and our driver ‘Peter crouch’ drove really well and handled all the off road and sandy roads in a very professional way. We felt very safe. Having the professional photographers with us was great as they captured memorable moments. Sandboarding fun.

The experience is a must if you are visiting the island as it gives a historic and cultural outlook how people live here. The guide Stefan was very informative and the journey was made as comfortable as possible by the driver Crouch. A thoroughly enjoyed outing.

Its a bit overpriced compare to other tour operators. However… tour guide guy was ver helpful and answered all questions. Seen all places we wanted as well.

Paulo was an excellent guide. Funny, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. The tour was interesting and fun. We loved all the places we visited and found we got a real taste of Boa Vista. Paulo answered our many questions and made it such fun. Our driver was brilliant too. We felt perfectly safe and at ease. Would highly recommend

Very well organised excursion, every detail was spot on from start to finish. The 4x4s were very well looked after - we all got extremely sandy and wet during the day and the drivers took great care to sweep and clean the interiors throughout the day. Our guide, Paolo, was exceptional, very knowledgeable about the island and very personable. His local knowledge really made the island come alive for us, it was a fantastic experience all round. The food was very nice and again, well organised.

Tui rep was great and helpful full of knowledge with the area. Trip felt abit rushed at times would of been nice to have longer at the beach restaurant to swim after lunch as final beach was not as expected. But cocktails at last destination was brilliant ??
