Turkije is het shoppingsparadijs waar je over alles onderhandelt. Dus het is niet alleen mooie landschappen en historische steden wat er de klok slaat. Op deze trip combineren we de twee kanten van Turkije. We nemen je mee naar de beste plaatsen voor koopjes en een aandenken voor thuis, en naar de bekende watervallen van Karpuz Kaldiran en het oude centrum van Antalya.Eerst word je verleid door het beste goud dat ook een beste prijs heeft. En je hoort waarom. Als de deskundige juweliers hun stukken laten zien, vergeet dan niet om af te dingen voor de beste deal. En als je niks wil kopen, zeg dan gewoon beleefd nee. Moeder Natuur neemt het over als je naar de watervallen van Karpuz Kaldiran gaat. Het water dat over de klif de Middellandse Zee instort, smeekt om een of meer foto's.Dan is het weer tijd voor shoppingtherapie in een textielcentrum. Of je nu zin hebt om te souvenirs te scoren of gewoon wat rond te snuffelen, het is een geweldige manier om je onderhandelingsvaardigheden te oefenen. Aan het eind van de dag maak je samen met de gids een rondleiding door het oude centrum van Antalya: in Kaleici. Wat een juweeltje zoals het daar op de heuvel boven de baai ligt. Je fotografeert de Romeinse wallen, slentert in de stad over de geplaveide straten en bewondert de Ottomaanse huizen en mooie cafés.

The first stop at the jewellery shop wasn’t for us personally but was a beautiful place. The shopping and old town tour was fantastic, our guide shared so much knowledge and allowed us plenty of time to explore. The highlight for us was the waterfall it was absolutely stunning and a standout part of our trip. Overall a lovely experience.

The experience overall was amazing and our Tour guide Denis was so knowledgeable and helpful. The only part which brought the trip down was the pointless trip to the jewellery store obviously so they can get some commission

Good guide and driver. Tour of Antalya old town by guide Memmet was very good and informative. Did not really want to buy anything in the jewellery store so not useful for us. Also prices at the store were not displaced clearly. So you do not know the starting prices for any discounts they were offering.

Absolutely hated the jewellery tour these people who work in there are pushy, no one should ever be put under such pressure/Anxiety to buy from them Loved the water fall, just the right amount of time spent there The fabric shop was the same pressure to buy from them The cafe they chose was awful and expensive but ok for the toilet Old Town was lovely and visit to Hadrians gate, shame more time wasn’t spent here

This is a very informative trip the guide was very good gave us lots of information. We went to a jewellery shop and again service was so good but if you're going to buy anything take your passport so the tax can be claimed back at the airport. Tour around the old town again was informative and interesting could really do with all day in Antalya to take everything but we enjoyed it and was worth the money.

Ahmed the guide very informative through out the trip. Water fall old town definitely worth a visit. Negatives- jewellery shop waist of 1 and a half hours. Should not be made to stop here. The meeting point in the old town is a restaurant the guide recommends AVOID. Expensive bad kebabs £20 pp. very nice eating places near by for 1/2 the price.

I'll agree with most of the reviews. There isn't much point to the visit to the gold/jewellery store but it's nice to see the designs. We had a well organised trip with a lot of information from the guide. He gave people options of when to join the group if people wanted to do more shopping or visit the old town. It's a beautiful walk. I'd have liked more time there, if I'd have known.

The tour guide is an asset to your company he was very friendly and had good local knowledge, he kept us all engaged and informed us of the things to try and possible things to avoid. We were a large group but he monitored everyone and ensured that no one was left behind. He was receptive to all questions and ensured we all got safely back to our hotels. A pleasurable day. Enjoyed old town and waterfall, Didn't like 1h visit to a jewelary shopa md only have 30min in the waterfall. Being conducted to a specific bazar, but dont have suport during the shoping. Didn't like having two kids with me but the guide never checked if we were being left bewind...we liked the old town... but again only 45min there necause the guide had to show us that specific bazar and a specific place to eat...

Enjoyed trip round old town with guide who was very informative. Didn't like paying £34 (two of us on trip,£17 each) when speaking to another Tui holiday guest on the same trip, but different hotel, paid €5!! Contacted Tui on line, but didn't really get anywhere!!!!

The cost of the trip was reasonable and the tour of the old town was interesting although a little rushed. The waterfall stop was lovely although again rushed. It’s not clear in the tour info that you will be taken to a diamond and gold centre away from the city centre which lasted an hour and half. There was an element of hard sell involved and prices were extremely high for the jewellery. This un necessary element took time away from the other parts of the day and meant an early start.

Good value for a full day trip. Guide knowledgeable and pleasant. Waterfall spectacular. Old Town quaint and plenty of time for shopping and refreshment. Only down side is the visit to jewellery centre, staff overpowering and following you all the time. If I had been in the market to buy jewellery the experience would have put me off. I suggest TUI Drop this part of the tour.

Our guide was excellent. Very interesting, friendly and informative. We also enjoyed hearing about his hair transplant! The gold/jewellery shop was fascinating but the staff were a bit pushy and seemed desperate to sell the incredibly expensive products. The waterfall is really beautiful and worth seeing. The old town was fascinating but it was too hot to walk all the way down. Maybe a visit in cooler weather.

The old town tour and visit to the waterfall weee the highlights. The stop at the jewellery house ensured we all had to undergo the customary high pressure sales environment. We had hoped that this might have entailed some interesting background information on gems, but it was a case of straight to hard sell. The guide was personable and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, being a group comprising German and UK tourists, the information was always given in German and only subsequently in English.

The tour guide was absolutely amazing and informational. A very enjoyable experience. We found the Jewellery Store staff fat too pushy and would not leave us be to look around, then got annoyed when we didn’t purchase anything. However, the waterfall and Town shopping was very enjoyable.

No one on the trip enjoyed the jewellery stop. The sales staff were very pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer. We just wanted to get out of there. The guide and coach driver were very good.

The guide (i'm awful at remembering names) but the main guide, he was so nice, he was very informative and helpful. Me and my friend had an excellent time. some advice: bring some snacks, comfortable shoes and beware of the stall keepers, they're very very intrusive and annoying at times. Some stalls and shopkeepers are genuinely nice and deserve good business others are plain creepy, especially to solo female travelers. All in all 9/10 experience mainly due to the nice guide!

I didn’t like the jewellery store as the staff there were too pushy and kept following us everywhere. The prices were always hidden and made up. If you were not interested to buy, they showed you the exit. How rude! It was the worst shopping experience of my life. The majority of the people on the coach hated it too. I liked the old town guided tour and the bazaar.

Was not too impressed with the guide on this tour. Although he did explain some things whilst on the coach it was very difficult to hear him if you were further back in the coach, to the point that we did not even realise he was speaking until he had almost finished so we had to go along with the crowd most of the time. When he took us to the viewpoints he moved right back, sat down and smoked a cigarette rather than offer to take photos of anyone with the backgrounds.

Big thanks to our Polish guide Ufuk. During the monotonous bus journey he told us alot about Antalya itself as well as many historical facts. It was a very nice experience. We have enjoyed the time in the old town and the waterfall (although waterfall time was only about 15min, way too short!). The jewellery store and leather store were total waste of time. Prices were total rip-offs (you can get it cheaper in UK!).

The tour overall was good value for money. Mehmet the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Free time around Antalya was good as this allowed us to do what we wanted. The negatives was that there was not enough time spent at the waterfall and this felt rushed. There was too much time spent at the gold shop and the staff there were way too pushy and intusive. When they realised we weren't buying anything they kicked us out which I found extremely rude and uncomfortable.

On balance, rather than the high end gold/jewellery visit, I would have preferred an extra hour to spend in Antalya Old Town - and the new town, where there are plenty of jewellery shops to look round if that is your thing. The visit to the textile centre to be told why Turkish "genuine fakes" are better than Chinese ones also wasted time. The trip was decent VFM and the Old Town is engaging with a pretty harbour whilst the New Town is bustling and vibrant...well worth a day trip out.

We did NOT like the gold shop. It wasn’t what we were expecting. We expected gold and haggling, yet it felt like high end shopping and utterly overpriced- think twice the usual gold price in UK. The staff were a bit much, and even when they “dropped” the price it was still bad. The free time was nice, we had 2h30min to enjoy Anyalya - to be fair we couldve done with more. We did buy a few nice “fake originals” and managed to grab lunch, but could deffo do with another hour or even 2 in antalya.
