The island of Holbox is stunning, a real insight into Mexico. A beautiful experience where we saw perfect beaches, wildlife and a township. The only thing that let the trip down was the 3 hour each way travel in a small cramped minibus in which the journey did not seem well planned

Unser Guide Martin hat ausführliche Informationen gegeben, war aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Der Busfahrer hat uns sicher ans Ziel gebracht. Die Bootsfahrt mit Kapitän Elias war ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir konnten auf der Tour karibisches Flair erleben. Das Mittagessen und die Buggy-Fahrt waren gut.

In een woord top! Alles tot in de puntjes goed geregeld. Zeer vriendelijke gids ( Nederlands sprekende man) die ons meenam omdat wij de enige Nederlandse gasten waren deze trip. Alles geweldig verteld en zeer behulpzaam. De trip zelf en de dingen te doen cq bezichtigen prima. Kortom superdag van 07.0O uur tot 18.30 heen en terug. Wat ons betreft een aanrader.

The layout of the day was fantastic. Our Guide Rould made sure each stop was just the right length of time. The island of Holbox is beautiful and well worth seeing. It is a long journey from the playa del Carmen region but Minibus but I would say worth it. The lunch was ok at mystique beach club and there was a limited number of sun beds and towels so not everyone got one.

Une très belle journée passée à Holbox. Petit havre de paix, et magnifique. L'arrêt sur l'ile au moustique était agréable et a permis de démarrer l'excursion de manière agréable. Le temps libre avant le déjeuner a permis à chacun de déambuler dans les rues du villages au gré de ses envies. Le restaurant n'était pas extraordinaire (enfermé) mais la nourriture était correcte. La visite ensuite en voiturait de golf a permis de visualiser l'ensemble de l'étendue du village. Merci.

Riktigt bra uppstyrt med upphämtning vid hotellet, uppdelning i senare minibuss beroende på språk, galet trevliga och informativa guider. Nous avons passé un agréable moment en famille, le seul bémol, c’est que nous étions pas sur un bateau avec le groupe des Français et un guide français. Nous nous sommes retrouvés sur un groupe avec des italiens où il n’y avait aucun guide. C’est bien dommage.

Gros détour par Playa del Carmen en partant de Cancun pour aller à Holbox, donc 1h30 de bus le matin , sans intérêt et sans avoir pu petit déjeuner à l’hotel heureusement nous avons négocié un retour direct à Cancun , grâce à notre guide compatissant… même si le chauffeur était très pressé de rentrer , une fois le guide déposé, et 1h 30 au telephone non stop Pour le reste excursion vraiment au top!!!!

Les 2 arrêts (île de la passion et île mosquitos) inutile, rien a voir(faune/flore) , et eau non cristalline. Arrivée sur Holbox. Village sympathique à parcourir sur le temps libre. En prend les voiturettes pour se rendre à l’hôtel pour y déjeuner : buffet peu garni On peut profiter de la piscine et de la plage de l’hôtel, qui est magnifique, mais le temps est compté il faut déjà repartir. Temps libre trop court après le repas. Coût de l’excursion exorbitant (430 dollars à 2)

The island itself is beautiful but it got over hyped. Miss sold on how much time was spent on the bus. The “5*” hotel food was rubbish- told it would be a bbq yet there were was barely any choice of food. Staff weren’t friendly. Was a long day to see an island that looks just like the beach we have at the hotel. Definitely over priced for what it is.

The down side was the buffet where there wasn’t enough food, me and my wife were the last in line and there wasn’t enough food only a little bit left so we had a small bit but assumed they’d bring out more food but didn’t. The other down side was the journey time with other hotel picks ups making it nearly 3 and a half hours the way back

A very enjoyable relaxing day out. The long journey is worthwhile. Beautiful breathtaking place with lots of time to enjoy ourselves. Lunch was delicious in a beautiful setting and the buggy ride to and from there is a nice touch. I totally recommend this trip and take advantage of the photographer. Beautiful photos and not expensive.

This trip was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. Very organised and excellent tour guide by Erica. The trips to the different beaches were beautiful and the speed boat rides were fun. The lunch buffet was fresh and tasty. And we had an enjoyable time on the buggy’s. Overall good value for money.

Es gab leider einen kleinen Unfall meinerseits. Das Boot war nicht richtig festgemacht und ich bin beim Aussteigen gestürzt. Es gab kein Notfall Verbandszeug. Sollte eigentlich bei Ausflügen Pflicht sein. Ansonsten war es wunderschön. Die Reiseleitung hätte während der langen Busfahrt etwas Landeskenntnisse vermitteln können. Aber sie war wohl müde. Die Verpflegung war gut. Das Boot zu klein... eventuell sogar überladen.

Geweldig om op zandplaten in het midden van de zee te lopen, dichterbij de natuur kom je niet. Onze verwachting van stadje Holbox zelf was meer idyllische, hierdoor vonden wij het een beetje tegenvallen, desondanks wel leuk om daar rond te wandelen en rond te rijden in een golfkarretje. De lunchaccomodatie was top! Minpuntje voor ons was het transport terug naar hotel, waarbij de chauffeur behoorlijk veel in haalde met wat slechter weer, dat zorgde zo nu en dan voor een onveilig gevoel.

Things we liked, Guides were excellent and helpful. Holbox was amazing, buggys lot of fun, Seeing dolphins was unexpected bonus. Only negative was we were not able to go on to the sand bar due to sea conditions but this is out of everybody's hands. But did not distract from the experience.

Holbox ist überhaupt nicht mehr schön. Vor 8 Jahren hat sich der Ausflug noch gelohnt aber für den Preis (fast 400€)jetzt war es echt enttäuschend. Holbox stinkt( 10000 buggys gefühlt und deren Abgase und die Algen) und ist nur noch zu gemüllt. Der Rest war aber ganz schön . Preisleistungsverhälnis passt überhaupt nicht.

The trip was lovely, we did think it was more of a pleasure boat trip, it was not so clear that it was a small boat. The guide was lovely and kept us very safe he also had lots of information about the area. There was more walking than I anticipated but not to much really, I'm disabled and could have used some warning about the walking so I could have taken my stick. The food at the hotel was very good and the service was good.

Very over priced for the day. As the tui rep at hotel said its his job to sell us the most expensive version possible when we asked about options. When compared to the app price it was significantly more expenaive from the rep. Lunch was underwelming with flat drinks. The buggy ride was little more than a short 10 minute journery considering this was the selling point of the trip. My battery was not fully charged so was slower than the others. The guide basically shrugged her shoulders. Poor.

Beautiful island! Loved the clear water and chance to get out and walk in it. Was very disappointed we weren’t made aware that flamingos are only there up to September, as one of the main reasons we chose it. We saw one, and at a great distance. Also weren’t made aware as to how bad the mosquitoes were going to be on the island paradiso. But, Holbox is gorgeous, lovely lunch and beautiful beach spot after- although a bit more time there would have been nice. The Holbox ice cream is a must!

Fantastic day out! Martin was prompt, friendly, and professional, keeping our small group included and happy. The transfer and boat drivers were faultless, and everything ran smoothly. We loved the buggy driving, Holbox Beach was stunning, lunch was delicious, and the ice-cold water waiting for us on the return transfer was a perfect touch!

Meiner Meinung nach einfach nur zu Unrecht gehypter Ausflug.Der Guide und die Fahrer waren top.Die Inseln sind absolut verdreckt und zugemüllt. Auf punta mosquito, sollte man definitiv Schwimmschuhe anziehen und die Kunden sollten darüber aufgeklärt werden, dass dort Sandflöhe sind. Auf Holbox fühlten wir uns gar nicht wohl. Es stank und war einfach nur dreckig. Das 5Sterne Öko Resort einfach nur lächerlich. Leider kann ich hier nicht genauer drauf eingehen, da meine Zeichen begrenzt sind

Die Location war toll und würde ich sofort weiter empfehlen. Negativ: Der Bus hatte eine maximale Beinfreiheit von 25cm, ich und vier andere Personen, mussten während der gesamten Fahrt schräg sitzen. Getränke, nur Wasser sonst nichts!!! Kein Wifi an Bord!!! Klimaanlage Schrott!!! Keine Badepausen!!! Transfer mit speedboot, ok, Getränke nur billigste Limonaden ohne Kohlensäure, positiv, bei der Sichtung von Delphinen wurde beigedreht Buggyfahrt Schrott Mittagessen gut, Service mangelhaft

Vegetarian options for lunch was very poor. The ride was very bumpy with roads in poor condition. The mini bus was crammed with poor leg and headroom. My wife got hurt when the door was shut as it trapped her elbow between door and the armrest.

The island and the golf carts were great. The transport to and from was very bad. The minivans were ridiculously cramped - basically sitting on a rear parcel shelf up on be air with head hitting the roof and about 6” of legroom that would be impossible for anyone to get their legs in. Absolute joke. Quality of the boat transfer also questionable - it broke down half way back and they had to call for another boat to come and rescue us. This was an ordeal to endure not enjoy :(

Absolutely brilliant day beginning to end. Very well organised and good amount of time spent in each part of the excursion. Good information provided by our guide Martin. All the stops were stunning and saw beautiful wildlife. Holbox was beautiful and the golf buggy’s were great fun. Bit of an incident with a tyre blow out on the way home what could have been a horrible accident was well saved by the driver managing to safely stop the bus. Staff pulled well together as a team to help.

Der Ausflug an sich, hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Insel Holbox würden wir weiter empfehlen, nur der Minibus mit dem wir gefahren sind, hatte viele Mängel, obendrein kam es bei der Rückfahrt nahezu zu einem Autounfall, da der hintere Reifen geplatzt ist.

Holbox is beautiful although I did not expect to be the only English speaking guests with a large group of Italians with an Italian guide. The guide did her best but it felt very intimidating and at times we did not understand what was going on. The reason we booked our trips with TUI and not other providers who were cheaper was to avoid this happening. The trip was an enjoyable trip and we made the most of it but we will think twice about booking trips with TUI on future holidays

Well let me say when booking this day trip, I explained that I was looking for something with little walking as my knees are shoot and waiting replacement, on the day of the trip I managed to cover 9580 steps thus my knees were very painful, the trip it self, was a very long drive which was ok, but lack of toilet breaks along the route was very disappointing! Brilliant day out. Golf buggies were a lot of fun to drive Guide was friendly and very informative. Staff were incredibly kind and attentive to my father who has mobility issues. He felt included and not a burden. The only thing I would say is that you need to be more clearer about how long the trip is. We were told 8 hours and in fact it was 13 hours. This is a big difference as my parents are elderly and whilst they thoroughly enjoyed the experience, but they were very tired at the end.

Der Ausflug war super geplant und koordiniert. Michaela, unsere deutschsprachige Reiseleitung war super freundlich. Der Bootsmann war super korrekt und immer hilfsbereit. Die Örtlichkeiten, wo wir angehalten haben , waren sauber und die Leute waren sehr freundlich. Der Fotograf top Das einzige, was wir bemängeln möchten, ist der Fahrer, der uns zum Schluss zum Hotel gefahren hat. Er ist chaotisch und schnell gefahren . Während er gefahren ist, hat er sich mit WhatsApp Nachrichten beschäftigt.

Très belle excursion sur l'ile mais les trajets sont longs. Le guide était sympa mais pas très communicant sur l'histoire du Mexique. La pause de déjeuner était dans un super hôtel en bord de plage avec une belle piscine. Le tour en buggy était super sympa. Le bateau par contre n'est pas très confortable.

The tour itself was good, the islands are amazing especially mosquito point (no mosquitoes were to be found which was an added bonus). Holbox is a small island, definitely worth seeing just not for the amount charged by TUI! Not much to see or do there, aside from the beautiful views. The English speaking tour guide lacked attention to detail, managed to forget our party at the restaurant when we went to the restroom! Also went on for too long, could be shorter in parts.

Seul bémol, le retour un peu tardif à l'hôtel. L'excursion devait durer environ 8h, nous avons fait notre programme en fonction et nous avions réservé le souper pour 20h. Mais nous sommes arrivés à 20h10 et le temps de se doucher et changer, c'était un peu le stress. Pour les prochaines réservations, aviser les clients de cet éventuel **********. Helaas waren de stoelen van de bus erg smal. de gordel sluiting zat ik onze kont te prikken. En totaal geen beenruimte. Dan duurt een busreis erg lang We hebben er zelfs blauwe plekken van. Wading in the sea was an experience was told to walk over to the sandbank which wasn’t pleasant and the smell was foul. Enjoyed seeing dolphins Being left in holbox for an hour with no info other that look for pictures on the walls in the square was poor The hotel was not 5 star and food choice were limited. The buggies held no relevance at all we did not see and wildlife just shops and bars and rubbish on the streets . Poor trip that lasted 12 hours!

Äußerst beengte Sitzverhältnisse im Bus, bei ungefähr 3 Stunden Fahrt. Wir sind leider im hinteren Teil des Busses gesessen, da wir mit als Letztes abgeholt wurden. Wir hatten keine Sicht nach Draußen bei einem Preis von 600 USD ( 3 Personen ) ! Sonst tolles Erlebnis mit sehr gutem Guide.

The organisation of the day wasn’t the greatest, we were picked up in a van that was far too small for 19 grown adults and then swapped to a different van half way through. We were then taken to a random house in the middle of no where for refreshments (this wasn’t needed) Mosquito island was a pointless, just a beach, then paradise island I can imagine on a good month is beautiful, the seaweed spoilt it and the other half of the sea was disgusting. Would have preferred to go straight to holbox.

Ein schöner und recht entspannter Ausflug. Der Guide Martin war einfach genial. Er erklärte alles mit Geduld und einer besonderen prise Humor. Das Highlight war die Tour mit den Golfcarts quer durch die "Stadt". Zu empfehlen wären mehr Getränke an Board des Schiffes, da es doch recht heiß auf der Insel und am Badestop war. Oder man nimmt sich genügend Getränke mit.

The whole island and experience of Holbox was fabulous. Our guide Martin was extremely good, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The only slight problem was the mini bus seats were crammed in so tightly that there was very little leg room.

It was an excellent day trip I gave it 5 stars There was only one thing I would change which was a 45min stop to swim but the water was only waist deep so it was a 45 min paddle which could have been cut down to 20 mins then longer on the previous stop which was interesting or the island holbox itself

Le site était complètement envahi par la vase, l'eau cristalline était marron et ne sentait pas bon, ce qui n'a pas permis de profiter de la baignade. Outre cette problématique naturelle de la faute de personne, le trajet en voiture a été très remuant (roulait rapidement sur les creux et bosses), avec ce la musique à fond, ce qui ne permettait pas de se reposer). L'hôtel décevant, pas possible de reprendre des boissons autre que de l'eau, peu de chaises autour de la piscine (assis par terre)

Holbox est la seul activité que je recommande et qui vaut le coup d'être vécu et ont passe beaucoup de temps sur la route les repas laisses à désiré petits déjeuner inexistant avant le départ tôt le matin rien n'est prévue par l'hôtel qui ne mérite pas plus de 2 étoiles dans son ensemble la restauration reste passablement basic ont est pas presser d'aller au buffet quand ont y a gouter de plus les plage sont impraticable à cause des rochers et des algues . Au vu du prix je m’attendais à beaucoup mieux, les transports ne sont pas du tout confortable que ce soit le van ou le bateau sans compter que nous avons dû changer de minibus en route à l’aller et au retour, le temps passer sur l’île est minime surtout que c’est l’objet de l’excursion et la voiturette ne nous est pas laissée afin de nous promener sur l’île

De tijd die je onderweg bent weegt niet echt op tegen de tijd die je daadwerkelijk op het eiland doorbrengt. De golfbuggy deel je met anderen, en je rijdt in een treintje achter elkaar aan. Wij hadden verwacht dat je zelf het eiland kon verkennen, maar dat is helaas niet zo. Verder is het eiland vooral heel stoffig en onrustig door de vele buggy’s en motoren die er rondrijden. Gezien de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding zou ik deze tour niet per se aanraden.

Bardzo fajna wycieczka ze swietnym lokalnym przewodnikiem. Plaza w Holbox jest naprawde bajeczna. W resorcie pyszne jedzenie i piekne kulisy. Na lodzi bylo bardzo wietrznie. Très belle excursion : cadre magnifique et dépaysant, activités chouettes (bateau, différents arrêts sur des îles, visite du "centre ville"), bon guide. Toutefois, excursion présentée comme une journée repos sur une île or le temps de passer sur différents sites, on ne reste sur l'île principale que 2h (+1h dans le centre). Le plus gros point faible, le temps de trajet : au total, 3h pour l'allée et 3h pour le retour, le temps de prendre / déposer chacun à son hôtel.

Pois lukien yks muffinssi kahdeksalta aamulla. Se olisi tietysti ok jos tästä olisi mainittu jossain kohtaa varausta. Olisimme ottaneet jotain syötävää mukaan. We visited holbox 5 yrs ago it was amazing. Now it's a dirty place Hotel for lunch was dirty and run down .looked like an hurricane has hit it and not a 5 star hotel . Best bit about this trip was the speed boat ride.would defo not recomend this trip to anyone. We paid £170.50 each for this trip and would like some refunded money thank you lynne richards rui yucatan.

The island where you stop is lovely. We didn't know about 2.5hr bus journey to the boat.The buggy tour is not around the island its only along the beach 10mins then to the resort for 2hr break then buggy back to drop off point. The guide wasn't very informative Although it beautiful scenery, wildlife it is not good value for money

The Holbox and surroundings was overvalued. Dirty and ugly city, and I thought It was car free but the place was overvaluing by other motorized vehicle. The birds island was also a disappointing.

Holbox selber war sehr schön, auch die Golf Buggy Fahrt hat Spaß gemacht, aber es wäre schön, wenn man mehr Zeit im Ort verbringen könnte und nicht so lange in der Hotel Anlage.

In den letzten Jahren hat die Leistung abgenommen. Kein Imbiss mehr beim Zwischenstop und auf Holbox die Buggy -Fahrt ist auch nur noch die Hälfte obwohl es nicht geregnet hat und die Straßen trocken waren. Die Buggy waren zudem in einem sehr schlechten Zustand.

Breakfast was very bad (only one muffin) Lunch was too late (start program at 5AM and lunch at 1:30PM) It was dangerous to get off and on the boat During the busride the guide showed us pictures of animals, but we did not see them

It was too long a day was not aware the amount of bus time at over 6 hours in not the best condition bus got there and smelly rubbish around the streets and not really what I expected as a tropical beach ... Food was good quality.

The overall experience; away from the pool for the day. A bird spotter's wet dream. Disclaimer and review forms in German! Public sanitary facilities next to zero. Needs improvement if Holbox is to attract more patronage.

Gids was niet zo goed geïnformeerd over de locatie. Kwam zelf pas uit verlof. Meer water of drank aanbieden tijdens de lunch excursie. Het eten was wel top en heel goed verzorgd.

Excursions très biens dans l ensemble. Un micro dans le bus serait le bien venu, on entendait très mal à l arrière les explications sur l île. Si non guide très sympa. Très belle Excursions à faire. Je la recommande mais il faut qu il fasse beau si non cela peut être l inverse. Repas à volonté dans un très bel hôtel avec piscine ou plage avec transat. Prix un peu cher par rapport au autre compagnies mais c etait très sympa et bien organisé.

Zeitmanagement ist eine Katastrophe. In der E-Mail wird von einem Zeitfenster von 8 Stunden geschrieben (Abholung 7 Uhr) - bedeutet Rückkehr gegen 15 Uhr. Tatsächlich waren wir um 19.30 Uhr im Hotel - das ist für eine Planung sehr schlecht!

Le fait d’être en petit groupe de seulement 9 personnes nous a permis de vivre l’expérience à fond, prendre son temps dans les lieux, et pouvoir profiter un maximum de cette île paradisiaque. Roald notre guide sur place est le meilleur guide que j’ai jamais eu ??

Super excursie, 100% aanrader. Een dagje relaxen maar toch een ganse dag onderweg onder leiding van Roald en Roberto een super team van gidsen. De locatie is paradijselijk. De tocht verloopt via bus, snelle kleine boot, golfcars, ferry en terug met de bus. Op verschillende plaatsen wordt halt gehouden voor een kleine wandeling of gewoon relaxen. De gidsen doen hun job met de smile en zijn zeer toegankelijk. Alles samen een goede mix en een fantastische dag.

Trajet très long pour ce qu’on a vu et fait sur place. Même si les plages, les îles, les oiseaux, la balade en bateau rapide et le repas sont très agréables, outre la durée du trajet, on ne s’imaginait pas à devoir marcher pendant 30 à 45 minutes sous un soleil très fort, avec nos sacs et sur des routes défoncées et glissantes. C’était dangereux tant pour l’insolation que pour des blessures. Les buggys inaccessibles, ok, mais il devrait y avoir une solution de rechange! La guide était géniale
