What to expect

Esplorate Mano Juan, un villaggio di pescatori sull'isola di Saona, dove le strade sono sentieri di sabbia, l'oceano detta il ritmo e la vita rallenta immediatamente. Qui le mattine iniziano con le barche da pesca che tornano a riva e i pomeriggi trascorrono sotto il sole dei Caraibi, lontano dal rumore della terraferma della Repubblica Dominicana.

On adore l’excursion mais vraiment surtout la plage privée le matin, c’était vraiment dommage qu’on y reste si peu de temps (1h n’était pas assez pour vraiment profiter de ce paradis) sinon c’était super.

Uns wurde der Ausflug anders verkauft als er dann war Von der Schildkrötenstation im Dorf haben wir nichts gesehen, weil da nichts los war, da die Schildkröten jetzt Eier legen und geschont werden müssen Das müsste man bei der Anpreisung dieses Ausflugs berücksichtigen, vor allem im Bezug auf den Preis Im Meer waren die lieben Tierchen ja zusehen Ansonsten war der Ausflug prima Meine Frau und ich waren die einzigen Deutschen Der Guide Raffael hat sich besonders um uns gekümmert Ein dickes Lob!

I would not call it a turtle sanctuary as this is misleading. You assume this is where they look after them and rehabilitate them. It’s just a turtle breeding ground on the reef.

Nos vendieron el tour con una visita al santuario de las tortugas, de santuario nada, era una habitación con fotos de tortugas, la persona que debía contarnos lo que ahí hacen, no apareció y un tercero que no sabía mucho fue quien dio algo de información. De tortugas nada, no vimos ninguna, solo nos indicaron un Cooler donde supuestamente habían huevos, que tampoco vimos. Favor no incluyan el "santuario" en el tour para cobrar más, la experiencia en realmente mala. Con la isla basta.

Das Essen im Restaurant war von der Sauberkeit nicht zu empfehlen, ich selber habe Abstand genommen (die Toilette war das schlimmste). Schade das so ein großes Unternehmen keine Zeit findet solche Sachen zu kontrollieren.

Bambi was our guide he was lovely and very knowledgeable, the food and drinks were lovely and we saw turtles and fish and starfish. Mano Juan was a great little village plenty of bargains to be bought, would recommend this trip and would do it again

Absolutely worth It. Very nice people on the boat,great guide Rafael (Bambi),amazing service with drinks,meal in restaurant in Sanoa Island was superb. The only problem (problem of Tui) was,that we were scheduled to be in front of the hotel at 7:10,but according to bus schedule,we had to be there at 7:30.We did not have time for breakfast (only 5 minutes).The propositions need changes in this way. Overall amazing trip

Was een leuke excursie vooral de stop op Saona waar je even tot rust kon komen. We hebben schildpadden gezien in zee maar waren zo snel. Beetje gehoopt dat we er zagen in het reservaat waar ze de eieren verzamelen. Boottocht was fijn en even in het water op de zandbank ook. Enkel beetje pech gehad dat het begon te regenen toen we terug naar Bayahibe vaarde.

Overall this was an amazing experience! It was a great day. However, if you are looking to lay on the beach at Saona Island for a long period of time - this is not the right tour for you! If you like visiting different quintessential Caribbean beaches then this is for you! Lots of little stops to have a swim and a rum!

Absolutely fantastic trip after a delayed start because the coach went to wrong pick up point and was therefore late. Our tour guide was very nice and spoke many languages so was easily understood. He was very informative with everything we saw. The boat trip was really enjoyable and all crew and staff were great hosts. The Island over Saona was incredible and undoubtedly the most beautiful place to see. Beaches and natural pools were stunning. Lively to see the starfish and turtles.

Die Reiseroute uns angeboten, mit einem Lobster Dinner nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen und unterbekundung meines Interesses nur aus diesem Grunde den Ausflug gebucht zu haben, wurde mir bestätigt, dass das doch Dinner stattfindet, jedoch vor Ort und auch auch durch den Reiseleiter wurde uns gesagt, dass zu dieser Zeit kein Lobster Essen stattfindet, da eine Schonzeit besteht. Ich habe es fort, im Büro der Dame von TUI mitgeteilt und hoffe auf eine Rückerstattung. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Frank Schill

We had a fantastic time was great value for money however there are other providers doing the same trip for nearly half the cost. I do think Tui need to look at the cost they are charging loyal customers. But we did have a fantastic day. 👍

Was a long day. Guide and boat staff excellent as we're the staff on the island. Lovely lunch with free time to look in shops. Disappointed not to see turtles and thought we would on the island but didnt. Overall a good day trip . Would of liked to of had more time on the private 1st stop beach.

Der erste Halt an der Insel war sehr kurz und wir konnten nicht schwimmen gehen. Der erste Badehalt war leider in seichtem Wasser, bis zur Hüfte. Wie soll man da schwimmen? Der zweite Halt im Dorf ist zu lang gewesen. Die „Schildkröten Farm“ kann man sich sparen. Da wurde Schmuck verkauft. Der dritte Halt in der „Badewanne „ war auch nicht tief und vor allem zu kurz. Die Fahrt mit dem Boot war super. Der Guide und die Besatzung sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben viel erfahren.

Unser Guide Papa Hermann war sehr fürsorglich und hat alle unsere Fragen zu Land und Leute bereitwillig und ausführlich beantwortet. Der Transfer hat vorzüglich geklappt. Das es zum Mittagessen sogar Languste gegeben hat hat uns sehr überrascht.

This trip came highly recommended by the hotel Tui rep Fany and did not disappoint. The whole day from start to end was enjoyable. All of the team made you feel very welcome, and our tour guide Herman was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. We felt safe throughout and got experience Soana life and private beach stop with plenty of other swimming. The boat crew were entertaining and kept drinks topped. They also pointed out sealife including turtles in their environment.

The pick up was a little disorganised and late, with a 40 minute wait in a car park awaiting for the main coach. The coach when arrived was a mini coach and we were left with the back seats over the wheel arches. These have limited leg room for adults and not very suitable for travel for a longer period. Not what was expected for a day excursion. Overall we enjoyed the day the lunch time meal was very good and the boat crew entertaining especially the drinks in the sea.

Papa Herman was an amazing guide, full of information. The trip was most enjoyable along with the lunch. However we felt the 1hr free time after the tour around Mano Juan was pointless. The music on the boat on our return was way too loud and we'd have rather listened to the waves. After Papa Herman and the other guide in the White Suit left the bus at the first drop off the driver put on music at an unbearable volume. Overall the trip needs to be quieter and shortened.

The whole experiance was brilliant and good it was all inclusive the whole day. One negative was waiting about for pick ups 30 mins to be precise it was a shambles. The guide Herman was knowledgable and ensured as a group we stayed togeather and made sure we were safe. All in all it is an amazing trip and value for money Susan Timson

Gefallen haben mir die 3 Badestopps an sehr schönen Stränden, das Mittagsbuffet war gut (Ich mag leider keinen Hummer obwohl der super lecker aussah). Der Tourguide Papa Herrmann war einfach nur spitze und spricht sogut wie alle Sprachen, was natürlich super für Leute ist, die im englischen oder spanischen nicht so Fit sind. Das Dorf Mano Juan war auch Top, da man mal sehen kann, wie die Leute außerhalb der Ressorts so leben. Einziger Nachteil war, dass es keine Umkleidekabinen gab.
