We had a wonderful excursion with Obama. He explained everything in three different languages. He was thorough explaining the history & culture of the population. He was interactive with all of us. The lunch buffet was wonderful with cultural entertainment. It was certainly a great outing and encourage continuing with this excursion.

Bus kam 30 min zu spät. Der Reiseleiter hat ohne Punkt und Komma geredet in drei Sprachen. Was Sehenswert gewesen wäre hatten wir keine Möglichkeit zum anschauen. Hat hauptsächlich Französisch gesprochen. Wenig auf deutsch. Letztendlich hat er uns in einen Schmuckladen geführt...wo wir einkaufen konnten ( sollten].Der Ausflug war das Geld nicht wert.

Tour guide Vittorio aka Obama was excellent. Bus&driver were great. We were confused by tour agent which said “small group” and we expected less than 10 people or several couples, but it was 30(thirty) people and tree different languages. It was not only our confuse, but other couples which got the tour from other tour agent(diff resorts) This tells us it’s systematic: selling tour as a small, but packing three different tours into one big bus and overload tour guide. BAD PRACTICE

Unser Tour Guide (Spitzname Obama) war echt Klasse, sehr sympathisch und wusste wovon er spricht. Die Stadt an sich war für uns aber nicht sehenswert. Die Geschichte der Stadt und die Gebäude die einem gezeigt wurden waren interessant, aber die An und Abreise sind einfach viel zu lang für das was man dann zu sehen bekommt (nur unsere Meinung) kann sein das es anderen besser gefällt. Das Restaurant wo mittags gegessen wurde war dafür überragend. Echte Dominikanische Küche mit Traditionellem Tanz

Unfortunately, this trip was very disappointing. The journey there and back took around 8 hours, leaving only about 3 hours to actually spend in Santo Domingo. The city tour felt extremely rushed, and the guide spoke four languages, which meant a lot of time was wasted standing in the heat listening to repeated translations instead of enjoying the sights. Overall, it was poor value for money. I wouldn’t recommend this trip there are far better ways to spend your hard-earned money.

The journey to and from Santa Domingo was far longer than we were lead to believe. Although the coach was very comfortable, with all the pick ups and toilet breaks it took 4 hours to get there and 3.5 hours to get back. Santa Domingo was great and we had a lovely lunch. We were told that the tour was in English but the guide also had to repeat everything in both German and French. Although the guide was good, it was a very large group to cater for. Got up at 0530 and not back until 2000, tiring.

I learned a lot from the guide. He was very good. I liked the places we visited also. The bus was comfortable and with good A/C. Also, the transportation from my hotel at Bayahibe was great and punctual. Listening in 3 languages is not ideal (English, Spanish, German), you will get a bit of headache eventually. Also, I don’t think the food was anything special. I understand we need to eat something, but it was not great.

Die Angestellten in dem Hotel waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend, man hat sich dadurch sehr wohl gefühlt. Nicht so gut war der Empfang am Flughafen in Punta Cana, nicht koordiniert gingen die Mitarbeiter von TUI nicht auf die Kunden zu, vielmehr musste man sie ansprechen in welchen Hotelbus man denn gehen muss. Es fehlte gewissermaßen ein Koordinator, eine Person mit Durchblick. Sehr kompetente Beratung durch eine ortskundige TUI-Mitarbeiterin zu den Ausflügen

Tagesausflug war sehr gut und Informativ. Roberto hat alles erklärt was wir Wissen wollten (großes Lob, hat er super gemacht, jedes Geschichtsdatum hat exakt gepasst, Respekt!!!). Sehr Interessant, wer kulturell und geschichtlich über die Stadt was erfahren will. Leider ist halt die Anfahrt von Punta Cana nach Santa Domingo mit dem Bus sehr lange, aber da kann ja der Veranstalter nichts dafür.

Absolutely loved this experience, the trip around santa Domingo is not to be missed. The guide was excellent with his information and anecdotes. The restaurant meal was lovely if a bit chaotic but then we had a train ride around the streets some free time to buy gifts. Overall we recommend the trip.

Le guide est très pro. Alias « Obama » explique très bien l’histoire de la ville et tout ce qu’il y a à savoir sur le dérouler de la journée. Il donne aussi de très bons conseils. Différents arrêts sont programmés pour voir des sites et monuments. Le restaurant le midi est une valeur sûre. Nous y avons vraiment bien mangé de la cuisine locale. La 2e partie à pied est vite effectuée. Le petit train et le ciné 4D n’ont pas grand intérêt. Il reste après 1 heure pour explorer en solo: suffisant.

Die Fahrt zur Santo Domingo hat 5,5 Stunden gedauert, bei allem Verständnis für Weihnachtsverkehr konnte man es besser planen, evtl. früher losfahren. Die Tour lief auf drei Sprachen, es war viel zu anstrengend, man hätte nur deutsche Gruppe machen sollen. Durch die lange Anfahrtszeit hatte man weniger Zeit um Santo Domingo zu erkunden, das Mittagessen musste auch sehr schnell gehen. Gesamt war es der schlimmste Ausflug, den wir jemals gemacht haben. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist miserabel.

It was disappointing that there wasn’t much to see on the tour - which was very expensive. It was a waste of time having to go to the jewellery stall - seemed more like a sales pitch. The restaurant food was tepid, overcooked and tasteless. The TUI rep made inappropriate reference to Twin Towers when he explained 2 hotels had to be taken down. And a joke about three legs was not well received.

Votre responsable à l'hôtel Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville m'a, lors de la réservation de cette excursion, mis dans le groupe anglophone, alors que je suis francophone. Son excuse : vous vous êtes adressé à moi en anglais, donc je vous ai mis avec les anglophones. Oui, je lui ai parlé anglais (basique)car lui NE PARLE PAS FRANCAIS !!!!! La visite s'est faite en anglais et allemand. Pas compris grand chose, alors que le guide parle parfaitement le français..Merci !!

Roberto, our guide, was friendly, funny and informative. He spoke 3 languages fluently. He took time to answer questions too. Lunch was a little rushed and not exactly Dominican Republic food, nice enough though. Our only quibble was that we had a 6.30am start but spent around 90 minutes picking others up before we started our 2 hour drive. Good bathroom breaks though.

Eins der Highlights (Sehenswürdigkeiten) wurde überhaupt nicht berücksichtigt. Ein zweites, obwohl vorher explizit nachgefragt, nur 2 Minuten Foto Stop. Dafür 1 Stunde eine Souvenir Shop besucht, völliger Blödsinn. Ob wohl 24 deutsch Gäste an Bord waren und nur 9 Englisch sprechende wurde fast nur Englisch gesprochen und erklärt. Deutsch gebucht bei einem deutschen Veranstalter als TUI Collection. Die schlechteste Fahrt überhaupt. Vom Reiseleiter besonders empfehlen. Kann nur abraten.

Enjoyed the history of Santo Domingo. Some parts of tour could have been left eg 4D cinema and gift shop (not authentic). Trip elongated to 12 hours as multiple stops to spilt group for differing transport. Our guide was informative but clearly German was a preferable language for him as often English translation of a section was missed or we had to ask him to reiterate on English.

Die Busfahrt war extrem lang und leider blieb nicht viel Zeit zur freien Verfügung. Das Mittagessen war okay hätte man aber auch sparen können und dafür günstiger machen können. Gerne hätten wir auf dem schönen Marktplatz noch eine Tasse Kaffee getrunken leider viel zu wenig Zeit . We really enjoyed our day in Santo Domingo. Obama, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. My only comment would be that the journey was so long. We had to change buses and stop a couple of times. We would’ve preferred to go straight there and back rather than stopping multiple times.

The lunch was disappointing - very ordinary and did not appear to be local cuisine. No sign of the ‘flag’ dish that was promised. The cathedral and the Parthenon were interesting, but it would have been good to also see inside Columbus’s Lighthouse, and also the fort. Overall we thought the trip was overpriced, and not as had been described.

Großartig! Toller Guide, humorvoll & sprachsicher. Ein phänomenales Wissen um die Geschichte der DomRep. Anreise in einem modernen, gepflegtem Bus, sehr abwechslungsreiches Programm vor Ort, gute Balance zwischen laufen, kurzweiligen Events („Zug“, mehrsprachig; 4-D-Kino zu Francis Drake, historische Gebäude…), unauffällige Advertisements wie z. B. eine Schmuckmanufaktur usw. Ich kann nur zusammenfassen: „a pleasure“!

We appreciated the comfortable coach and our guide “Obama,” who was knowledgeable and helpful. However, the tour was far below expectations. The 4D cinema was poor quality, the headsets in the church didn’t work, and the stop at the local shop felt like pressure to buy things rather than sightseeing. Overall, the excursion was overpriced, and we believe a partial refund would be fair.

Man hat sehr viel von der Altstadt gesehen und es war ein super Guide dabei, der alles einmal auf Englisch und auf Deutsch erklärt hat. Die Busfahrt war angenehm außer, dass wir auf der Hinfahrt den Bus wechseln mussten, weil unser Hotel in einer anderen Richtung lag und wir dann eine Stunde an einer Autobahntankstelle auf den anderen warten mussten. Das Essen in dem Restaurant war gut, der Aufenthalt dort aber sehr kurz und abrupt zu Ende. Der 4D Film ging nur ein paar Minuten, war aber gut.

Es war sehr gut organisiert. Man hat sehr viel gesehen. Nur die Kirche war auf Grund eines Feiertages in der Dominikanischen Republik (24.9.) nicht geöffnet. Fand ich schade. Der Guide Roberto (ohne Blanco :-D) war sehr gut, hat viel über die Geschichte und auch aktuelle Informationen an uns gut vermittelt. Allerdings hatte ich den Eindruck, dass er mehr Englisch als Deutsch gesprochen hat. Der Kurzfilm über die Schlacht auf 4D ist sehr empfehlenswert. Insgesamt ist die Tour zu empfehlen.

Der deutschsprachigen Reiseführer Obama sprach sehr wenig Deutsch mit uns wir saßen 5 Std im Bus durch Santo Domingo bis auf 2 kurze Pausen Toiletten Gang um 12 waren wir Essen , war nicht berauschend Schoppingtour oder mal irgendwo sich hinsetzen war nicht ....in einem Laden hat Obama dann eine Rumverköstigung gemacht,das wars Kino und eine kleine Bummelbahn war noch dabei. Wir haben uns dann bei TUI Reiseleitung Sandra beschwert, sie hat sich dem dann auch angenommen Sandra war sehr nett

De gids sprak zowel Duits als Frans en Engelse en zelfs een beetje Nederlands ,dus voor een ieder wel te verstaan. Ook wist de gids enorm veel over alle bezienswaardigheden te vertellen en legde dit ook duidelijk uit. Santo Domingo heeft een rijke historie en het oude stads gedeelte is nog goed bewaard gebleven. Overal was er wel politie aanwezig, dit gaf een veilig gevoel. De busrit was lang maartse moeite waard met meerdere tussenstops voor even de benen strekken

Really amazing tour- absolutely loved it so interesting and informative. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was because there were 4 different nationalities on the trip there was a lot of talking from the guide, which I understand he has to do but talking for most of the 3 hours drive there and 3 hours drive back was a lot and this tour guide loved to talk, I mean he was really enjoying his own voice. Great trip, amazing day, thoroughly enjoyed and thoroughly recommended.

Team "Roberto" for this trip. Again excellent guide, knew his history. Take decent shoes and a hat. The city is very warm., however there isn't too much walking. Land Train is a bit of a disaster. Took 20+ min for them to fix the engine to start up and it doesn't really add much. 4D show was entertaining. You do end up at the obligatory "this shop will give you good price" souvenir shop at the end, and free time was about 45 min, but there is little to see/do in such a short time

Excelente guía para recorrer una muy bonita ciudad . Santo Domingo y su casco histórico que además de ser muy importante y bonito está muy bien tenido . Como en toda ciudad hay lugares sucios , mal conservados ( pero esto no disminuye las muy positivas carcterísticas de la ciudad ). El lugar de almuerzo , bonito , impecable , buena comida . El viaje en el bus , fue muy llevadero gracias al guía de turismo . Excelente conductor y carretera expedita

Een bizar dure excursie voor wat je krijgt. Bijna 12 uur onderweg, waarvan er 4 daadwerkelijk de excursie betreft. Daarin ga je leuk met een treintje, waar je door het dichte dak en de smalle straten amper ziet waarover verteld wordt (als de speaker meewerkt, want die hapert nogal eens waardoor je ook niet alles meekrijgt) Daarna lopend de helft van hetzelfde rondje, leuke piratenfilm van 9 minuten, gesponsord winkelbezoek en dan een half uurtje 'vrije tijd'. En de kathedraal gingen we niet in!

The guide was very informative and you got to visit a lot of the main sites of Santo Domingo and had free time as well. There was a lot of driving around Santo Domingo in the morning and getting off, taking a photo and then back on again in the morning after arriving. It felt like walking in the city and discovering only really happened in the few hours after lunch.

We were advised the travel would be 2.5 to 3 hours, it was over 4 hours and it wasn’t because of traffic as the traffic was light. We only go 5-8 minutes at Columbus’s light house, not enough time to go all the way up and inside. Didn’t get to stop at the parliament building to take pictures, the lunch was poor. In the free time the guide took us to a shop he much get a kick back from as it was extremely expensive and hard to get out without buying something. Overall you need to review this trip

Lunch was lovely however it did feel very crammed with other tours at the restaurant and as the weather was really hot, we just wanted to eat and leave as soon as possible. The travel time from impressive punta was very long so so the day was a bit rushed. Guide was great I was unwell and he was great finding a ladies restroom for me one negative the guide talked all the way there with no let up. Unfortunately, the trip was not worth the money. We spent over four hours on the bus to reach Columbus' mausoleum, only to be told we couldn’t go inside—just five minutes for photos outside. The guide spoke poor English and Spanish, making explanations hard to follow. Lunch was rushed, with long restroom lines, but no chance to use them as the guide was leaving. We were taken to an overpriced souvenir shop selling items at inflated prices. After 12 hours mostly on the bus, we returned exhausted.

Unser Reiseführer war Roberto und super, alles nacheinander in Deutsch Englisch und Französisch erklärt, selbst eigene Fragen wurden beantwortet. Im 4D Kino habe ich wegen Rückenproblemen einen eigenen Stuhl bekommen, fand ich sehr aufmerksam. Den Preis finde ich sehr hoch, da wir ca. 5 Stunden nur im Bus gesessen haben.

De uitstap was leuk en een zeer mondige gids, het enige minpuntje dat ik kan geven is dat er herhaaldelijk gevraagd werd door meerdere medereizigers om de airco in de bus minder koud te zetten en daar werd geen gehoor aangegeven (chauffeur en gids zitten apart). Wij hebben 2u30 min in een ijskoude frigo gezeten en mensen moesten zelfs een jas aandoen omdat het gewoon veel te koud was op de bus en het verschil met buiten veel te groot. Vandaar bij thuiskomst samen een dikke verkoudheid.

Unser Tour-Guide war super, denn er hat alles über Santo Domingo und das Land sehr gut berichtet. Er war sehr kompetent, leidenschaftlich und es hat Spaß gemacht. This tour is a must if your only going to visit once, Roberto the guide was very informative and spoke many different languages, his bus driver was amazing as well, plenty of stops available within the bus drive there, seen both old and new town, spent most of the day in the old town, stopped at the lighthouse on way, lunch then toured old town with the guide then was given free time. This is a full day out but worth it, plenty of photo opportunities.

The trip was exciting and had a lot of history and culture but the down side was we where told that it would only a take 45minute on the coach to get to Santo Domingo from where we was and we would get off the coach and walk around then have lunch and would an hour and half again to explore. Repas ++. Nous étions 2 personnes à parler français dans un groupe de 39 personnes. Le guide devait parler 4 langues différentes pour donner les explications de l'excursion. Il a prioriser la langue anglaise car 80% des gens parlaient cette langue. De ce fait, il sait contenter de nous donner de brève explications. Il est même venu s'excuser auprès de nous car il s'en était rendu compte lui-même. Trajet trop long. Pas visité maison de colon car en restauration or pas signalé à la réservation ?

Tour guide (Obama)was very good. Spoke good English and made the trip more entertaining. Visited cathedral, 4D cinema, had train ride around city centre. Lunch a bit rushed. All very good, but would rather have seen something else or even come back to hotel early ,than shopping in a jewellery shop for an hour, although I suppose some enjoyed that. Long day even from la Romana, but glad we did it.

We really enjoyed this trip, very informative and fun - Apart from the amount of time taken up towards the end in the stone/jewellery/gift shop. Our guide turned into a total salesman, he walked into the shop, went straight behind the counter taking our stones and jewellery, we think he either has shares in the shop or is on commission! In the end the 3 in my party left the group, arranged where to meet up and went for a lovely drink in the beautiful square.

De rondleiding was maar matig interessant: het eerste gebouw van de Amerika's, de eerste kerk, de eertse universiteit, het eerste paleis, etc... Ruim een uur ging verloren aan bezoek van souvenirshops zonder mogelijkheid om vrij rond te lopen in het centrum van Santo Domingo. De lunch was zeker wel in orde: lekker en voldoende.

Long coach journey. 4D cinema is tired and some equipment faulty. Lunch average. Train was an uncomfortable trip around grubby streets with a pre-recorded audio search. Museum tour was short, lacked information and guide just seemed to want to get round and get rid of us. Main guide had to do it in three languages which mean on some occasions there was little time or information provided. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND others to do this tour.

Guide Obama hat sehr gut und tiefgründig orientiert. Leider sind Übersetzungen in 4Sprachen zuviel und ermüdend. 4D-Kino könnte man weglassen. Ist nicht für Jedermann. Leider mussten wir fast eine Stunde warten, bis alle Teilnehmer sich beim Reisebus eingefunden haben. Die Zeit fehlt dann am Zielort.

Wir haben deutsch gebucht ein Reiseleiter für vier Sprachen ist echt unverschämt habe diese Tour vor mehreren Jahren mal gemacht da war es wesentlich besser bin entäuscht worden von tui Reiseleiter Obama war zwar echt super aber so viele Sprachen zu übersetzen da muß ja was auf der Strecke bleiben Tui kann es meiner Meinung nach besser oder ist bei euch alles der Pandemie zum Opfer gefallen

We have made a complaint to our tui rep regarding this trip. Coach left family behind at a service area when they need the bathroom. Coach returned 15 mins later after we contacted rep in resort. Guide was rude and arrogant. Did not apologise for leaving without the family. Told my family to shut up and stop to causing drama. For the remainder of the trip my family were the brunt of the guides jokes. Criticised my elderly parents for being at the back of the walk. Intimidated my daughter

This tour was a long day , we enjoyed it. Our guide reuben spoke very well, English as a second language. Informative and knowledgeable guide. Lunch provided was delicious. Not too much free time at the end of the tour which was a shame as I would've liked to explore myself. You visit religious buildings of which are beautiful. As usual the pick up takes the longest. Be prepared to walk lots.

Der Obama war sein Geld Wert. Klasse Typ mit viel Hintergrundwissen. Nur die Preise für die Souvenirs waren erheblich überteuert. Ein Magnet 8 Dollar usw. Sonst die Fahrt ,der Bus das Essen und der ausführliche Rundgang waren ihr Geld wert. Wenn es auch nicht gerade kostengünstig war.

Gut gefallen hat uns: Abwechslungsreiches Programm. Sehr gut Organisiert. Der Reiseleiter hat im gutem deutsch informiert über Stadt und Land. Nicht so gut war: Essen war halt Massenabfertigung. Da wir von La Roma abgeholt wurden haben wir den gleichen Preis bezahlt wie die Urlauber von Punta Cana Wir konnten nicht online buchen, nur bei der TUI Reiseleitung, dadurch konnten wir auch keine 15% Rabatt einstreichen.

The tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgable and interesting to listen too, the only thing we think would make the tour more enjoyable is if it was kept to one/ two languages max per group instead of four. Listening to the same thing 4 times became a bit annoying and tiring at some point as we could understand all of the languages.

Auf einer rund 3 stündigen Anreise nach Santo Domingo und natürlich der gleich lange Rückweg in 3 verschiedenen Sprachen die stets wiederholenden Vorträge anzuhören ist auf Dauer sehr ermüdend und sogar anstrengend bis nervend! Am besten eine rein einsprachige Tour buchen was so leider nicht möglich ist! Schade auch das Teile auf die es ankam (Museum) fast nur auf Englisch gesprochen wurde, wer da dieser Sprache nicht bis kaum mächtig ist hat keinen Spaß am Vortrag!

The day was very informative the guide Victor aka Obama was so full of information. However we had 4 languages of the coach, English ,German,French and Spanish which at times was a lot of wasted time due to explanations. Also the food was amazing along with the dancing during lunch, yet again a negative was the bathrooms. 2 ladies bathrooms for all the groups the queue was quite long and the guide moved on even though not everyone was with him. But excellent information.

Nice experience and we did a lot of things while we were in Santo Domingo. However, the travelling is too much with too many stops to take other people. It really should be less time on the bus, as I would not recommend it as a trip as it is now. We were cold on the bus, as the central air con was working. We kept on asking to stop it and they did turn it down but it would go back on soon after again. Food was okay, the guide also but too much German speaking, so went back with headache

Bus defekt mussten auf der Autobahn in einen kleinen Bus und zur nächsten Raststätte auf einen Ersatzbus warten Kamen erst um ca 21 Uhr ins Hotel zurück Mittagsbuffet war nicht toll und der Kellner hat mir ein Glas Rotwein über t-shirt und Hose geleert,die Flecken werden vermutlicht nicht mehr zu entfernen sein das bedeutet ca 100 Euro Mehrkosten

We like trips that cover history & tells us about the country….. this trip was very formative, our guide was very knowledgeable, the places we visited were beautiful & the guide was very good. We stopped for a very nice lunch ?? The downside was we were told the journey would be 2hours…..it was more like 3 & half & sometimes it felt rushed. Overall very very good ??

The trip was very good and Obama was a fabulous guide. The only downside is the transfer times If you are based at the Royalton in Punta Cana you are the first pickup and last drop off which mean you will be on the coach for a good hour extra each way whilst the coach tours the hotels. Driving up and down the drive into the Riu hotels is frustrating and exhausting as it takes so long to drop off a couple of people. There really should be a better system.

In Wahrheit wurden wir zu einem großen Sammelbus gebracht u in multiple language vorgetragen , großteils englisch , aber auch deutsch .., Guide war sehr gut Wir sind sehr enttäuscht, dass wir als TUI Kunde 135€ bezahlt haben, obwohl es rundherum um 80-85€ angeboten wird.. Excursion en français. Étant rassemblés à plusieurs ce que je comprends tout à fait mais étant en minorité le guide nous a dit clairement que nous passerons après et nous avons eu droit à des explications minimes voir parfois pas du tout. Il fait en même tant commercial pour un magasin ou là il prévoit une longue pause pour essayer de vendre avec les commerçants.

The taxi was late so off to a poor start. Had to wait once we got to destination where we met bus. Tour guide started iff gud but then realised after about 40mins there were other people in french and German. Seemed he paid them more attention. Definitely not worth 135usd. Dinner was just OK and a choice of coke wine sprite or water. 1 drink offered. Took us to one overpriced shop. Wud not recommend this trip

Left Royalton hotel in Punta Cana at 6:30 am,then 4.5 hours on coach including tour of hotels picking up people. 5 hours in Santa Domingo including lunch break and then some site visits with audio headsets that worked only some of the time. Finished day with a 4 hour coach trip home. Guide was outstanding part of the trip.

From Bayahibe the door to door tour was around 12 hours so from Punta Carna you could add on at least 2 more hours which was a long long day. The places visited - Chris Columbus monument must be the most ugly building ever built. The guide was very knowledgable to the point where he would have been better lecturing in a Uni and you could see people ‘switching off’. The one guide also had over 50 guests to manage of different nationality’s which at times caused logistical problems and delays

De rit met de bus duurde te lang ,op de heenreis 5 uur inde bus gezeten en de uitleg over alles was te langdradig en er was ons gezegd dat we koptelefoons kregen om de uitleg van de gids te kunnen volgen in het Nederlands maar deze waren er niet en dus meer dan de helft niet verstaan omdat de uitleg in het Spaans en Engels was , de gids heeft zijn best gedaan maar voor ons was deze excursie zijn geld niet waard en dus niet tevreden

Belle excursion mais un peu longue, la visite avec le petit train pas vraiment d’intérêt car on le fait à pied mais cela permet de se reposer et être à l’abris du soleil. We saw some fascinating sights and our guide was very knowledgeable. There were multiple nationalities on the tour which meant that he had to say everything in English, French and German which detracted from the information being given. The lunch was very nice (if a little early) and the 4D cinema amusing. Guests should be advised to take plenty of water with them as the city can get very hot and there aren’t many stops at which you can buy drinks.

Excellent tour and good value for money. Learnt alot about the Dominican and our guide Obama was good fun and had a wealth of knowledge. Food was good. Its a long day so be prepared for the long drive but there are stops in between which is good for toilet breaks.

Ik had graag meer zelf door de stad gelopen in plaats van in en uit de bus stappen om kort dingen te bekijken, ook duurde alles vrij lang omdat het constant in 4 talen werd gedaan. De gids wacht echt super en wist heel veel te vertellen, echt super veel informatie over de stad soms misschien iets te veel maar liever dat dan te weinig. Ook deed hij overal aan mee en was steeds super enthousiast en vriendelijk, hij probeerde het iedereen naar de zin te maken en dat is naar mijn mening goed gelukt.

The guide was great but he had to deal with 4 languages. It was constant and I got fed up listening to it. By the time he told us of a sight we had already passed it. The train journey was a waste of time, you could not see anything. The 4d movie was also a waste of time. I thought that lunch was too early 11.30 hrs. Although the guide spoke non stop for hours because of all the translating, the information content was little. I thought the cost was too high.

Having to wait for the coach at the start and then waiting for the transfer back to the hotel seen to take a long time. It could be more coordinated. The overall trip once we got to Santa Domingo was excellent lots of surprises like the 4d Cinema The restaurant was very good. I could not think of a reason to complain. I loved santa Domingo I was surprised how vibrant it is.I would recommend this trip hold heartedly. The main guide should be the Template for all od your guides. Lots of knowledge

Die Tour nach Sprachen getrennt zu organisieren wäre besser. Wenn man mehrere Sprachen spricht, wird es mit der Zeit sehr ermüdend, die gleiche Story und die gleichen Witzchen mehrmals anhören zu müssen. Anstatt zum Schluß ein "4D-Film" über Drake sehen zu müssen und einen fragwürdigen Souvenirladen besuchen zu müssen, wäre es für uns schöner gewesen, noch einen Abstecher zum Faro de Colon machen zu können.

Alles in allem eine interessante Fahrt, allerdings war der Reiseleiter sehr selbstverliebt und musste alles permanent mehrfach wiederholen. Die Witze gingen oft unter die Gürtellinie. Klar ist ebenfalls nicht, ob wirklich alle Teilnehmer heile mit dem Bus zurück gekommen sind. Nach einer freien Zeit wartete er nicht auf alle, sondern lief zum Bus ohne das man als Teilnehmer wusste, wo dieser steht. Santo Domingo ist eine Reise wert.

Obama als Reiseführer ist super, er hat eine lustige Art an sich, jedoch passiert die Tour auf 2 oder 3 Sprachen gleichzeitig. Bzw. Hintereinander. Wenn man Englisch gut kann, bekommt man alle Infos doppelt. Das kann teilweise anstrengend sein. Ebenfalls ist die Tour strikt durchgetaktet und er hat ein gutes Tempo drauf. es bleibt wenig Zeit den Blick selbstständig etwas schweifen zu lassen, ansonsten kann es sein, dass man die Gruppe verliert. War ein guter Trip, aber nur ein Mal.

This tour was a fun day, definitely good value for money, but it's a long day if you are coming from Punta Cana and without knowing in advance it takes the shine off of it a little. Rather than advertising it as an 8hr tour it might be advised to advertise was a 12hr tour

Our guide Obama was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of his country. He made sure everyone got the most out of the day. Santo Domingo is a beautiful city - well worth a visit.

De losse elementen waren precies wat ik er van verwacht had, behalve dat we na het treintje verplicht werden 1 specifieke souvenirshop binnen te gaan. Daarnaast was de communicatie van onze gids over de voortgang erg onduidelijk. Verkeerde tijden of helemaal geen verzamel tijd. En veel wachten en een programma dat minstens 5 keer is omgegooid. Daarbij was de stijl van de gids niet echt mijn ding. Voelde me behandeld als een kleuter maar dat vond de rest van de groep wel okay geloof ik.

Super Tour. Der Guide, der Mr Obama genannt wird (er sieht wirklich aus wie Barak Obama), kümmert sich sehr um seine Gruppe. Er nennt sie Obama Family. Ein sehr kompetenter Mann, der sehr viel über die Geschichte des Landes weiß und es gut vermitteln kann. Keine Angst, es ist kein trockener Geschichtsunterricht wie in der Schule. Geschichte wird bei ihm gelebt incl kleinen scherzen. Da er sprachlich sehr begabt ist, (spricht sieben Sprachen), ist die Verständigung kein Problem. Jederzeit wieder

Our guide Obama was excellent in telling the story of Santa Domingo / Dominican Republic throughout the trip. The extra touches of taking pictures for us was excellent. The traditional lunch was amazing and the variety on the trip was really good even down to the 4D cinema

Jammer dat we aangegeven hadden dat we de gids in het engels wilden. Maar dat hij over ging in vier talen, erg vermoeiend. De gids was ook erg chaotisch en langdradig. Werden door de gids ook naar een souvenirshop geleid, wat voor ons overbodig was. het treintje is geen toegevoegde waarde. Verder heeft de stad veel bezienswaardigheden, waar beter de vocus op gericht kan worden. Wij vonden de groep te groot.

The coach trip is long at over 2 hours, we stop along the at various gas stations to pick up more people and have short breaks. Overall the tour is good but felt better information from guide would have been good. Walk around town was nice , train tour was ok but large group meant we couldn't sit in the English commentary section of the train. This is a very long day leaving the hotel at 0700 and not getting back till 2030. Would recommend it .

Die Tour fand fast ausschließlich auf Englisch statt, obwohl uns im Vorfeld die Tour in Deutsch suggeriert wurde. Es wurde auch nicht alle im Vorfeld angebotenen Sehenswürdigkeiten gezeigt - sehr schade! Wie immer fand eine touristische Massenabfertigung statt, anstatt wie angekündigt, ein individueller Ausflug!

Le guide « M. Obama » était exceptionnel, disponible et accessible. Il nous a apporté beaucoup d’informations intéressantes. Les points négatifs sont la longueur du déplacement par rapport au temps passé sur place ainsi que le fait que certains touristes ne respectent pas en début de matinée l’heure fixée pour le départ des différents hôtels. Nous étions à l’avance pour chaque excursion retenue et pour chacune d’elles nous avons dû attendre les retardataires pendant une quinzaine de minutes.

Obama is een zeer goede gids, gaat dieper in op de geschiedenis van het land, de bevolking en de cultuur. Enige minpuntje, op papier staat leeftijd 13+ jaar en er waren baby's mee...... Wat problemen gaf op het treintje.

Leuke uitstap om de stad te verkennen. Audioguide was handige. Dominicaanse maaltijd lekker. Goeie gids met leuke locale weetjes. Wel iets teveel talen. Alles werd in 4 talen uitgelegd waardoor wat langdradig.

Was a brilliant tour learnt alot about the city and how it became what it is today and the guide we had Obama was absolutely brilliant asked if we wanted to know the history on the way knew so much about the city couldn't ask for a more informative trip and a brilliant day overall visited a chocolate factory on the return trip he made the whole trip so much better 10 out of 10 for the trip and the guide

A must do! Excellent historical overview and tour of the city. Tour guide Obama was fantastic all around. Before going I read a lot online about safety in Santo Domingo but you really needn’t be worried! A beautiful city and I felt safe as a young female solo traveller, even during the hour independent time at the end of the day. A long day (13 hours total) but definitely worth it. Makes me want to go back and explore more of the city myself!
