The guide for Knossos was very knowledgeable and the pace was just right, given that it wasn't very busy on the day we selected. The time allowed for on our own exploring at Knossos was just right. Our guide gave us a good orientation of Heraklion so that we could easily navigate for our own selected place for lunch (not included) and the archaeological museum.

Knossos wurde Not gezwungen gebucht, da am Tag zuvor die Tour Oliven und Weine ausgefallen ist. Diese Tour wäre besser für mich gewesen, da ich gesundheitlich nicht fit bin. Zweimal laufen und stehen, in Knossos und Innenstadt Heraklion war einfach viel zu anstrengend für mich.

Es waren einfach zu viele Teilnehmer. Bei der Buchung wurde gesagt, es sind Max. 15 Teilnehmer. Tatsächlich waren es aber über 60 Personen. Mit dieser Menge an Leuten verliert die Tour deutlich an Qualität, obwohl die führerrin sie sehr bemühte. Hätten wir dies gewusst, hätten wir die Tour sicher nicht gebucht. This was a really lovely day out. Obviously it's really busy and there's lots of pick ups and drop offs but still glad we did it and the time in the capital was great. The guide didn't pay attention and lost lots of us walking to the church. Luckily another person saw where she went and we eventually caught up. It was pointed out to her what happened but she was oblivious. Dispute this it was a good day and I'd recommend the trip to you.

Palace of knossass wonderful , very knowledgeable guide , we went in October which was still very warm , if you went in the summer there is not a lot of shade at all , we are more than capable of walking around but some more elderly people struggled with climbing and uneven ground.

We enjoyed the palace, but what we did not enjoy was being walked around to each part, for the guide to talk for 30 minutes in each spot, in the rising temperatures. She kept talking about the cobbled floors and star signs. If we could have had a brief introduction and then walked around on our own where we could have read the descriptions listed everywhere we would have really enjoyed it. She was also rude to the public by making them walk away from our group if they were taking their time.

Unser Guide war super, sie wusste sehr viel und war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch Fragen hat sie gerne beantwortet. Knossos ist absolut sehenswert, aber es braucht definitiv eine Führung weil es sehr viel ist. Es gab in Heraklion 3 Stunden freie Zeit zur Verfügung (reicht absolut aus), in Knossos selber nur 30 Minuten im Anschluss an die Führung. Fotos konnte man während der Führung machen, aber für Familienfotos vor den Sehenswürdigkeiten war währenddessen wenig Zeit.

Die ganztägige Tour bietet leider für den geforderten Preis viel zu wenig Leistung. Die Abholung erfolgte problemlos. Die Führung in Knossos war informativ. Leider war dort zu wenig Zeit zur freien Verfügung. Diese stand dafür im ausreichenden Maß in Heraklion zur Verfügung. Nach einer sehr kurzen „Stadtführung“ wurden wir für drei Stunden entlassen. Eine alternative Führung lehnte der Guide leider ab. Somit haben wir die Stadt auf eigene Faust erkundet und gewiss viele schöne Ecken nicht gesehe

Excellent guide who provided excellent support and incredible intresting information. Thanks to her, everything was well organised . The major problem for traveling from Easter crete( Elounda) is the time it took to get to Knossos ith all the pick ups..2 hrs, ridiculous really. TUI shoulsurely divide into smaller groups whatever the economics

Knossos was the highlight of the tour although it is a very popular destination and it was very crowded. I don’t think it suits a large group like ours as you are shuffling single file through the crowds and often lose the signal of the guides audio. Quite often the guide in front was talking about something that the last of the group were minutes behind. We had a double decker bus and some of the group had been on for an hour before it picked us up the an 1.5 hrs to the first location.

Tour guide Maria was very knowledgeable and friendly. The palace has a fantastic history however there was no time after the tour to explore on your own. Would have preferred an hour or so after and less time in Heraklion. We queued for a long time to view the throne room only to feel pushed through due to it being so busy which took up a lot of the tour time.

Die Reiseleiterin ist super. Mehr Zeit in Knossos zur freien Verfügung wäre gut. Es kann aber nicht sein, dass wir ein Lunchpaket vom Hotel zum Frühstücken bekommen und der Busfahrer energetisch verbietet, im Bus etwas zu essen! Wenn das Busunternehmen den Bus nicht saubermachen möchte, dann ist es unter dem Aspekt Kundenzufriedenheit ungeeignet. Ansonsten wäre eine Frühstückspause an einem Rastplatz mit Blick auf Meer eine Alternative.

Bobi, our guide was absolutely excellent. The facilities at Knossus are not good and this wasn't explained until everyone has been picked up, it was hard to prepare. Also, lots in Heraklion is closed on a Tuesday, not a disaster, but again, helpful to know in advance.

Der Thronsaal wurde nicht besichtigt, da ein 30 minütiges Anstellen in der Sonne nötig war. Die „Stadtführung“ durch Heraklion war nur ein sehr kurzer Gang bis zum Löwenbrunnen. Die Reiseleiterin trug ihre Erklärungen sehr emotionslos vor. Die Gruppe war mit über 60 Personen viel zu groß. Mussten morgens 20 Minuten auf den Bus warten. Wurden bei 3 Minuten Verspätung nach einer viel zu kurzen Toilettenpause mit einer dummen Bemerkung empfangen.

Wir hatten 2,5 Stunden Transfer, dabei ist niemand auf die Idee gekommen, dass eine Toilettenpause notwendig sein könnte. Auch nach der Führung in Knossos waren nur 10-15 Minuten bis zur Abfahrt eingeplant. In dieser Zeit kann man dort nicht die Frauentoilette nutzen, da die Schlange deutlich zu lang ist. Die Führung in Knossos war inhaltlich sehr interessant, aber wir sind recht schnell durchgehastet. Dafür könnte man sich gern mehr Zeit nehmen, auch nach der Führung noch zum selbst erkunden.

Katarina was an excellent guide and Christos was a great driver and they both made it a very good experience. Katarina expertly moved us around Knossos ahead of big groups and found us shade. It was all positive but it was a long time on the coach for us without a toilet!

Knossos ohne Reiseleitung ist nicht zu empfehlen - die RLin war sehr gut hat gut erklärt und wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter (milde) und den Besuchern (waren relativ wenige) Heraklion für die "Freizeit" war OK und für mich ausreichend ABER An- und Rückfahrt war ermüdend und zeitraubend da viele einzelne Stationen in Rethymnon bei deren verwinkelten Gassen angefahren werden mussten

The tour was well organized, we visited Knossos and Irakleio , and we were lucky we had a wonderful guide and good driver, Katarina is an expert in the history of Knossos, she gave us a good explanation and we enjoyed it very much. I strongly recommend Katarina . A long the way we had also an explanation of the scenery and history.

The guide was very helpful. Knossos was packed with other tourists. It felt unfair for our guide to manage to keep 50 people together as well as give us information. Two guides on this trip to divide the group would have been helpful. The driver was fantastic.

Die Fahrt war gut organisiert, allerdings dauert die Anfahrt ca. Zweieinhalb Stunden, weil erst noch viele weiter Hotel angefahren werden, um Gäste abzuholen. Ähnlich bei der Rückfahrt. An einem Tag ist man ca. fünf Stunden im Bus! Dafür ist der Ausflug ziemlich teuer.

Zu wenig freie Zeit in Heraklion. Knossos hat nunmal viel mit Mythen zu tun. Vielws ist nicht geklärt und bestätigt. Das die Fremdenführerin aber deshalb gleich ihre eigenen Mythen zum besten bgringt, ist fragwürdig. Ebenso verlor sie viel zu viel Zeit damit uns ihre eigen gesponnenen Mythen zu erzählen als sich direkt auf Knossos zu beziehen. Hat man ihr dann doch einmal eine Frage gestellt fiel die Antwort derart patzig aus und wurde mit Beschuldigungen überhäuft. Da hilft ein Diplom wenig.

Der Ort knossos war sehr interessant. Die Reiseleitung war nicht immer gut zu verstehen. Uns fehlten insgesamt mehr Informationen zu Land und Leute, soziales auf Kreta. Der Stadtspaziergang war m.E. zu kurz. Ist mein subjektives persönliches Empfinden. Für andere ist shoppen und Essen vielleicht wichtiger. Man kann es nicht allen recht machen. Das verstehe ich natürlich. Insgesamt einguter Tag. Beobachtung: Andere Reisende haben nicht mitbekommen, dass man in Taxi umsteigen sollte.

Not enough time at Knossos palace at all! Our guide rushed us round and we kept loosing her and couldn't hear what she was saying if you got slightly out of range of the listening device. I was very disappointed that we were rushed round. At one point the guide advised us to just go in one room (not the throne room) take pictures and get out as another group was coming, the guide was more concerned about them than us! The Knossos palace is why we went to Crete! Extremely disappointed

Elongated bus journey to the venue and far to many people 50+ for one guide. We did not find it enjoyable. Our guide was lovely and very informative but we just didn’t enjoy the experience. It was not value for money at 78 euros each. It was only 20 euros to enter the palace !! We didn’t even get a bottle of water included in the other 58 euros per head. We found the whole day a bit long and drawn out but the journey back was far quicker and it would help if there were buses with ammenities

The lovely guide knew all about the are and showed us all the permitted sights, explaining about what we were observing. Then she let us roam Heraklion at our leisure. A mention must be given to all the coach drivers who delivered us safely to there and back again!

The pick up bus was nearly 40 minutes late which meant by the time we got to Knossos Palace, we were already being rushed around. The palace is so busy and overcrowded. We weee moved along quickly and didn’t get see everything, there wasn’t even time to visit the gift shop. After the palace, we went to Heraklion for nearly 3 hrs of free time, there is not much to do other than eat or look at shops. Would have been better to give more time at Knossos Palace.

Très ********** visite de Knossos au matin avec la guide Vivi ou Viviane c’est comme on veut. Très beau site archéologique ensuite Héraklion la visite rapide mais parfait pour comprendre et voir ce qu’il y a à voir. Terminer la visite par un temps libre de 3 heures c’était parfait.

Maria was een zeer goede gids. Ze gaf duidelijke uitleg over Knossos. De busrit verliep heel goed, onze chauffeur was goed op tijd en de hele busreis verliep vlot en veilig. De vrije uren in Iraklion waren voor ons net iets te lang maar dat is persoonlijk. Het was leuk om in de stad rond te lopen en de winkeltjes af te schuimen. Ook de terugreis verliep vlot en veilig.

Knossos was too busy. Far too many groups allowed in together … Berger management of the sight. Disappointed We felt we would have liked to be given the opportunity to wander roubd on our own, we would have got more from the experience, we like to sit and absorb the history ..We would have gained more by just sitting and taking it in. Heraklion was good as we were able to explore and not tied to a guide.

Abholung auf Grund eines Defektes am Bus eine Stunde später. Keine Info, erst auf Rückfrage an die Vor-Ort-Reiseleitung. Kann immer mal passieren, aber die Behauptung ich wäre informiert worden war nicht richtig. Transfer und Infos waren in Ordnung. Unmut bei der Reiseleiterin weil ein paar Teilnehmer auf eigene Faust gehen wollten (nicht wir), brachte Unruhe hinein. M. E. ist das jedem seine Sache, wenn auch unhöflich. Gruppe war zu etwas zu groß, lange Wartezeiten.

Es war ein sehr interessanter Ausflug, die Reiseführerin war sehr gut im Wiedergeben der Geschichte. Ohne sie, weiß leider den Namen nicht mehr, wäre es für mich nicht so interessant gewesen. Man muss allerdings wirklich viel Geduld haben, vor allem ist es wetterbedingt auch sehr heiß (und das im September) der Platz mit vielen Steinen und sehr umfangreich, mit einer Führung, die fast zwei Stunden dauert, ist schon anstrengend. Man sollte gut zu Fuß sein, gute Schuhe tragen und Wasser mitnehmen!

Our guide Eleni was amazing! Even though it was the busiest she’d seen Knossos this season, she showed us everything, kept us all in the shade as much as possible and looked after the group throughout the experience. She was knowledgeable and very friendly.

Abholung war nicht am Hotel. Knossos ist viel zu überlaufen und man hat nicht viel gesehen. In Heraklion viel zu wenig Zeit. Zeit reicht gerade mal für eine Kleinigkeit zu essen und dann wieder zum Bus zu hetzen.

Everything was rather seamless. From pick up to drop off back to the hotel, it was a very good experience. Our guide, Bobi, was brilliant and she was very knowledgeable. The experience itself was just fab. We had two and a half hours in Heraklion, whilst that was good, it felt like you could spend a lot longer there. If there was a chance to do them separately, I'd find that better. So half a day Knossos and then a full day at Heraklion would have been better for us.

Die Besichtigung von Knossos war sehr interessant. Nachteilig war, dass die Touristenführerin nicht alles gezeigt hat. Zu lange erzählt, dafür Abkürzungen bei der Besichtigung des Palastet von Knossos gegangen. Wahrscheinlich aus Zeitmangel. Die Stadtbesichtigung von Heraklion war leider zu kurz, da Zeitmangel. Die Tour insgesamt ging zu kurz. Sie ging insgesamt nur ein paar Stunden von 9.30 Uhr bis 15.45 Uhr. Davon 2 Stunden Busfahrt. Die Tour bis 18 Uhr wäre besser gewesen. Ohne Streß und Eil

The tour and the guide Maria were fantastic, she was really engaging and informative and made the tour of the palace excellent. The transport and transfers however were incredibly long and no information was given on how long these would take. The price also seemed slightly high, as it was just the tickets and bus included, but overall was a good experience. We definitely appreciated and enjoyed the free time in Heraklion.

Tour guide really informative, both from a historical viewpoint and keeping us up to date on travel times and slight delays encountered getting into Heraklion. Only suggestion would be slightly longer at Knossos at the end to have a look around the gift shops, you spend 15 mins queuing for ladies toilet so time went quickly after the tour.

The tour guide Poppy was very good. The only down side was the radio/listening device signal wasn’t very good so some of the tour was lost slightly. Also I think the alternative earphones could have been offered at the start. My partner has very small holes in his ears so the plug ones were not ideal. I also struggle with in ear headphones- when Paul mentioned the issue Poppy did offer the over ear ones which were much better. The tour, coach and driver were all very good otherwise

Guide for our trip on Tuesday 16 Sept was dreadful. Rather than emphasise particular points of interest, she droned on non stop in a voice that could not be heard properly but was consistently irritating. She needs to understand the value of silence at times. Furthermore, a disabled lady was on the trip despite it being made clear when booking that this was inappropriate. She held everyone up and delayed leaving. Annoying that guide pandered and allowed her on. (

Needed more free time at the Palace. We were sent off on our free time at 11:35, but had to be back at the bus for 12:00 which, given the crowds and the walk to the bus, translated into little more than 15 mins. Then, once we were on the bus and heading into Heraklion, the guide said we would have 3 hours free time to look around! We really could have done with 30-45 mins of that time being at the Palace.

Mit Kind würde ich es nicht nochmal machen. Die Reiseleitung war extrem freundlich, der Transfer gelungen, nur die übrigen Teilnehmenden konnten in Bus und Knossos leider gar keine Rücksicht auf meine kleinere Tochter nehmen (überrannt, geschubst, negative Anreden), das hat unsere Stimmung leider extrem gedrückt. Knossos selbst ist sehr überlaufen im Sept., jedoch schön anzusehen. In Heraklion haben wir die Tour nicht begleitet und die Stadt selbst erkundet, das war dann wirklich toll.

Die Busabholung hat beim ersten Anlauf leider nicht funktioniert. Der Grund ist mir unbekannt. Die telefonische Klärung hat sehr gut funktioniert und uns wurde sofort eine Lösung/ ein Ersatztermin angeboten. Sehr unkompliziert ?? Die Besucherzahl in Knossos war sehr hoch. Aber dafür kann TUI ja auch nichts.

Wij houden van historische plekken en dit was een zeer mooie plek. Het paleis van Knossos, echt een aanrader als je van historie houdt. Maria, onze gids gaf duidelijk tekst en uitleg. Het is niet groot maar genoeg te zien. Daarna zijn we naar Heraklion gereden waar je op eigen gelegenheid kunt wandelen en winkelen of iets gaan eten. De Oude Haven is prachtig met het oude fort. Mooie uitzichten.

We found the day very long, if you are on an early pick up, we spent two hours each way. We first went to Knossos and it was very busy, that's what all the excursions do. As there were also three cruise ships in port as well. It would have been better to do Knossos in the afternoon. The tour guide was very nice and accommodating. Driver did a good job as well. Overall though going from Rethymno be prepared to be on the coach for a long time.

Listed a minimum 8 hour duration but wasn't. Bus was 1 hour late to pick us up so guide had to rush through the tour (she was good though) hence no free time to explore after Knossos the tour as we were herded back onto the bus to see Heraklion. Total duration was a little under 7 hours.

Die Führung in Knossos war sehr interessant. Die Tour Leiterin hat uns sehr viel geschichtlichen Hintergrund erzählt. Die Führung in der Altstadt von Heraklion ist sehr kurz ausgefallen. Die hätte ein wenig länger sein dürfen. Insgesamt absolut zu empfehlen.

Im Palast von Knossos war es sehr überfüllt und man konnte nur schlecht Bilder machen. Leider sind dort auch fast nur noch Ruinen zu sehen. Die Stadtour war schnell erledigt und man hatte viel Zeit sich die Innenstadt anzusehen.

Our Guide Maria was again excellent her knowledge vast. Driver was good too. Also felt the free time in Heraklion was too long baring in mind how long it would take people from Elounda. The tour started late, we were waiting over 40 mins for coach pick up. No where to sit not much shade . If we had been told it was very late we could have sat in a cafe. The guide was very informative. Once everyone had had a comfort break we made our way into the site. We were able to look around and hear her commentary though the ear piece we had . In Heraklion we were taken through the town and shown the way to the harbour. We would recommend this tour.

La guide était parfaite. Le chauffeur également. Le « ramassage » des clients par contre a pris plus qu’une heure, c’est trop long. Il faudrait avoir moins de lieux de rendez-vous. Pour le prix de 78€, nous aurions pu avoir de l’eau à disposition et un apéritif crétois. Finalement si vous avez un bon guide c’est super et un mauvais guide la journée est fichue.

Het uitstapje naar Knossos is geen aanrader voor mensen met beperkte mobiliteit en met hoge temperaturen is door de ruïnes lopen heel erg warm (neem voldoende water mee en smeer je goed in) naar de stad Heraklion vonden wij persoonlijk leuker, genoeg leuke terassjes om een verfrissend drankje te drinken en een hapje te eten. Ook veel leuke winkels voor de mensen die van shoppen houden ;)

Les sites visités auraient été intéressants si Christina, notre guide avait été professionnelle. C'est dommage... ses commentaires étaient "purement scolaires" dans un français trés approximatif. Aucune compétence pour mener le groupe. Visite d'Heraklion au pas de charge pour récupérer le ********** pris au départ de la journée (près de 30 minutes de ********** au départ de l'hôtel). Pas d'excuses ni d'explications. Inadmissible !

Guide was great, lots of historical information. Downside was that even arriving early to avoid the crowds, we still had them and long waits in queues at 28-30 degrees was a bit annoying. Having said that the queues coming in when we left were even worse. Get in early if you go and use a guide as the information going round made the tour. Trip into Heraklion was good to get some lunch but highly recommend going back to Heraklion to the Archeological museum another day to fully take in the finds

Once again I think it was the lovely Maria that guided us (tour was on the 9.9.25 - Elounda Breeze Hotel). Maria guided us around Spinalonga too as she didn't disappoint this time either. Again sharing her knowledge and passion with the group. She is an amazing guide. Toller Guide mit ausführlicher Erläuterung in Knossos (danke). Evtl. kann man auf dem Weg noch andere Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigen, wo möglich. Der Teil zu Heraklion war kurz gehalten (das war aber ok), Museum war definitiv das Highlight in der Stadt (nicht Teil der Tour). Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut.

Caterina was just a joy from meeting us at our bus stop, the first of the day, to her knowledge and nurturing of everyone within the group, she was just super. She clearly loves her job and her home island which enhanced our day. The bus driver whose name I sadly forget was great and felt very safe.

Bonjour, pas aimé du tout la visite des deux sites avec un guide en Allemand et en Français ce qui nous à fait perdre la moitié de notre temps par le fait que la guide devait traduire en deux langues. résultat, arrivée tardive sur le ville d'Héraklion ou nous n'avons eu que deux heures sur site. une heure pour le repas et une seule heure pour la visite, autant dire rien du tout pour une capitale. une heure c'est bon pour un village.

Onze tickets waren aangekocht door de reisleiding. Maar aan de inkom werden onze tickets geweigerd. Onze leiding is met onze tickets naar de kassa gegaan en na 10 minuten mochten we binnen zonder tickets. We hebben geen feedback gekregen alsook onze tickets niet terug gekregen. De reisleiding/gids kwam onprofessioneel en ongeïnteresseerd over.

Nous avons réservé une visite en français et nous retrouvons dans un groupe mixte( français/ néerlandais) d'où attente entre chaque commentaire. La guide parle très bien français mais récite son texte et parle très vite à cela s'ajoute les coupures de transmission dans les écouteurs cela amène à une visite terne, ennuyeuse ou l'on avance en troupeau au pas de course. Pq ne pas faire 2 groupes ? Après la visite pas de temps libre pour les boutiques autour du site

ich muss mich mit einer formellen Beschwerde an Sie wenden. Seit Tagen versuche ich vergeblich, über Ihre Hotline Kontakt aufzunehmen, um den von mir gebuchten Ausflug zu stornieren. Bis heute habe ich keinen Rückruf erhalten. Trotz der hohen Kosten war die Durchführung des Ausflugs inakzeptabel: Es gab weder Essen noch Wasser für die Kinder, obwohl dies zugesagt war. Als alleinerziehende Mutter empfinde ich dies nicht nur als enttäuschend, sondern auch als unverantwortlich.

Die Tour insgesamt war sehr interessant. Die Reiseführerin erzählte sehr engagiert und ausführlich. TOP! Aber: Der Transfer von Mailia (Treffpunkt McDonalds) hin und zurück war viel zu lang. Es wurden unzählige Hotels angefahren, durch enge Straßen durch (merkwürdig: uns wurde erklärt, er könne nicht zum HighBeach Hotel kommen, wir sollen zum Treffpunkt kommen, was ja auch überhaupt kein Problem ist, bei anderen aber anscheinend schon). Deshalb keine Weiterempfehlung wegen TRANSFER!

Bei der Beratung im Hotel wird verschwiegen das der Ausflug, bei 40grad, keine Toilettenpausen oder Erfrischungspausen enthält. Der Tourgide war zwar kompetent aber die Gruppe hatte Probleme ihr zu folgen weil sie kein Erkennungszeichen (z.B.auffäligen Regenschirm)mitgeführt um sie auch von weitem zu erkennen. Es war auch nicht möglich, gegen Mittag, etwas zu essen oder zu trinken zu besorgen. Nach stundenlangen laufen in der Sonne ist die Laune und.Aufmerksamkeit stark gesunken.

Der Palast ist schön als Stätte mal anzusehen aber es zog sich etwas in die Länge und der Guide war sehr euphorisch was diese Geschichte und Mythologie angeht.. Heraklion hat einen süßen Yachthafen, ist aber voll und sehr touristisch von den Geschäften. Uns hat ein Rundgang dennoch gefallen. Wir haben was gegessen und dann war aber auch gut.

Es war eine schöne Tour, wir hatten keine lange Busfahrt (abhängig von der Lage des Hotels), dafür mussten wir ca. 15 Min auf den Bus warten. Die Führung durch Knossos war sehr interessant, hätte man für meine Begriffe aber etwas kürzer als 2 h machen können, man merkt sich ja doch nicht alles. Anschließend ging es nach Heraklion. Nach einem kurzen Rundgang durch die Stadt und Besuch einer Kirche hatten wir 2 Stunden zur freien Verfügung. Die Tour war gut geplant und organisiert. Empfehlenswert.

Once again Bobi was a fantastic guide. Her knowledge and management of the group in Knossos was excellent. It would have been good to spend more time there and less in Heraklion. I appreciate that the entrance to the site is quite expensive but being left in the city for 3 hours on our own contributes nothing to your costs. This is a good tour but please allow more time to look around Knossos after the official tour.

Guiden var inte bra och på en resa med historia och lång transfer så blir detta ytterst viktigt. Hon blandade lite för mycket olika informationer och story-telling förmågan och presentationen var helt enkelt inte bra och det blev otroligt svårt att lyssna. Vi hade också lite lite tid själv vid knossos. Bara 20 minutet och då gudningen inte gav så myclet hafe man verkligen viljat ha mer tid själv. Utan en bra guide blev det inte prisvärt och vi hade hellre lagt pengarna på annat.

Eine tolle Tour! Unsere Reiseführerin Gabriela hat uns viele spannende Hintergründe zur Kultur und zu der Mythologie erzählt, das hat die Ruinen lebendiger werden lassen. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Auch der anschließende Teil in Heraklion lohnt, man hat genug Zeit, ein wenig selbst auf Erkundung zu gehen.

Gut: Die Erläuterungen der Guide über Audiogerät. Wäre schön, etwas Schriftliches in Händen zu haben. Vieles Gesagte von der Guide kann nicht auf Dauer behalten werden. Daher wäre eine schriftliche Kurzbeschreibung über das Wichtigste von Knossos bzw. Heraklin dienlich und später in Ruhe nachlesbar.

We hooked this via the rep which was essential in us attending. One of our children is a partial wheelchair user and the app stated not suitable for people with poor mobility and wheelchair users. However when we discussed this with Sarah the rep her knowledge of the excursion along with our explanation of the mobility needs led to us booking. The site was wheelchair accessible for the most part. The guide’s knowledge was amazing. thank you Sarah, for making this inclusive.and accessible.

We had Maria as our guide and she was the highlight of the trip. She was knowledgable and passionate and really brought Knossos and its myths alive. She gave time to rest in the shade as it was a hot day without letting us miss anything. Knossos was busy but manageable and Maria pointed out so many points of interest in Knossos and Heraklion. Die Mitarbeiterin, die die Führung und Begleitung gemacht hat, war äußerst sympathisch und hat kenntnisreich sowie engagiert an der historischen Stätte Erläuterungen und Hinweise gegeben. In der Zeit der Busfahrt hat sie Interessantes über die Insel, die Vegetation etc. erzählt. Auch der Busfahrer ist sehr umsichtig und angenehm gefahren. Die Planung des Ausflugs war sehr angemessen, Knossos wurde umfassend besichtigt und anschließend war genug Zeit, um Heraklions Altstadt/Hafen anzuschauen.

Het Knossos paleis was fantastisch om te zien. Je voelt de geschiedenis. De app om te zien hoe het er vroeger uit heeft gezien is een leuk idee, maar het werkte niet goed bij ons. Wir hätten gerne ein wenig mehr Zeit in den Ruinen gehabt, die Zeit zur freien Verfügung (30 min. War etwas knapp). Die Besichtigung der Ruinen war nunmal der Hauptagespunkt.. in Herakleon hatten wir dann 2 einhalb Stunden Freizeit, allerdings war es inzwischen einfach zu warm, das könnte kürzer sein.. Alles in allem war die Tour sehr schön, super organisiert und unsere Führerin sehr sympathisch. Es hat Spaß gemacht!

Knossos was too full with very large cruise ship group passengers. Tui knows this is a problem as I've seen the same problem on recent reviews . The guide told us that Tui knew it was a problem. I wonder why then, times are not changed. We saw little of what we paid for because of long queues. Tui could probably work out times when cruise ships are likely to be in. When we arrived, we were rushed by the guide to join another group and she said we were 45 minutes late and wasn't welcoming.

The entire experience was great. Our guide, Bobi, was brilliant. She was extremely knowledgeable and delivered the tour in a well structured and easy to follow manner. My only quarm was with the time we had in Heraklion. Arriving there at lunch time, meant we needed to find somewhere to eat and then we had very little time for any sightseeing. Other than this, it was a wonderful experience.

De groep was wel heel groot en Knossos erg druk (maar daar kan TUI niets aan doen, en bovendien we veroorzaken zelf mede de drukte). Er werd dus gewerkt met oortjes waarin de reisleider haar verhaal vertelde. Haar kennis van de geschiedenis en mythologie was echt encyclopedisch maar dat betekende wel dat werkelijk de hele excursie haar stem in je oor toeterde. Dat mag wel een onsje minder.

It's not TUIs fault that Knossos is hugely overcrowded, which was the biggest issue. But at Knossos, I think I would have preferred the option of a guide book and 2 1/2 hours to wander, rather than the endless chatter from the guide through the ear piece provided, with 15 minutes at the end to try to go back to the bits that were worth pictures. No disrespect to the guide, but I think the option of "DIY" should be offered.

I didn't enjoy the tour of the palace and felt I should have saved a bit of money by going on a tour that just gave more free time there. The problem was the group was far too large. I was so far behind the tour guide that as she spoke nothing she said correlated with what we were looking at. As a result, I felt I learnt very little about the place and it was very frustrating.

It was a very good day, with lots of information given. The fact that the guide held a space in the que for part of the tour whilst an adult with children could stand in the shade as had a que of 45 mins on a very hot day. Some more temporary shade spots for hot days at Knossos Palace would be handy for hot days

Enjoyed both Knossos and Heraklion. The only minus is the coach didn't have toilet facilities! We were 1st pickup and to stay on a coach with no facilities for almost 2 hours was very uncomfortable.

Personally Heraklion wasn’t for us. We did have a poor experience eating lunch giving my wife stomach problems. The tour guide however was an absolute credit to the company. She personally walked her to the chemists and even went in to the chemist to explain the issue. Absolutely fantastic. I would potentially look to include lunch from a reputable establishment known to the business as choosing places to eat in a short space of time in a big town can be stressful.

Nous avons adorer écouter Maria la guise en français pour nous expliquer la visite du temple de Knossos. C'est une vrai passionné d'histoire. Moi-même pas une adepte de l'histoire, je me suis prise au jeu et j'ai adoré raconter mon expérience en rentrant. Encore merci Maria :) La visite de la ville d'Heraklion, parfait juste un peu courte pour manger et encore faire un peu de shopping.

Stadtführung Heraklion wurde uns versprochen aber nicht durchgeführt. Wurden dort 5 Minuten herum geführt und dann zu 3 Stunden Freizeit entlassen. Dies fanden wir sehr enttäuscht für den Preis.

War alles in allem ein schöner Ausflug. Man sieht die Palastanlagen von Knossos und die Mitarbeiterin hat auch alles wunderbar erklärt. Danach ging es nach Iraklion in die Stadt wo wir eine kurze Orientierungsführung bekamen ca.30 min. Danach durften wir uns frei Bewegen. Es gab etliche Shops, Bars und Restaurants. Treffpunkt war dann 16:00 beim Bus. War ein Toller Tag nur ich hätte mir den Aufenthalt in Iraklion länger gewünscht weil wir hatten ca nur 2 Stunden Zeit

This tour was really great value for money. Our tour guide Maria was so knowledgable and friendly, we learned so much about the history of Crete and the mythology. We visited in August so it was very busy but never felt too crowded. The one downside was the many trips to other hotels to pick up other guests. We spent 5 hours total on the bus from Elounda. It was nice to see some other resorts and my daughter could sleep so not all bad! I would still recommend it for the info and convenience.

The site of Knossos was great and Heraklion was fun to explore. Eirene was a fantastic guide and did well to keep us going in the heat and crowds. The description of the experience was that this was an Adults experience and there were several children on the tour which I found surprising. I didn't have a problem I just don't think, in the heat, it was appropriate for the under 5s and the mother did have to leave the tour within the first hour.

We had a lovely day and the guide was very helpful when they found out it was to be a bilingual tour and worked on gettung a tour guide at the Palace to take my inlwas around thank you. While the Kinossos Palace tour was great, We did feel a.little rushed and missed some vital places while walking in the calendar ity. Maybe a guide.tour to the Archaeological Meseum where you see the famous phaistos Disc would be good. But overall good day.

Die Tour war in Ordnung, leider gibt es zu viele Touristen, wenn man auf 20.000m² nur durchgeschoben wird, gelebt haben laut Aussage 450 Menschen, besichtigt ca. 7000 - 10000, auf Wunsch lasse ich Ihnen gerne Fotos zukommen.

Katerina our guide was brilliant, really knowledgeable. We visited on a day when a cruise ship had come in and the site was incredibly busy with long queues outside in the heat. Katerina did her best to keep us cool, leading us to shaded areas when she could.

Unser Guide Ioanna war sehr gut, brachte uns gefällig und mit viel Wissen die historischen Fakten und Mythen näher. In Knossos waren außergewöhnlich viele Besucher (wohl aufgrund des Wetters), das war sehr anstrengend. In Heraklion blieb angenehm viel Zeit zum freien Bummeln.

Unfortunately I was taken ill the night before our excursion and therefor it was deemed unsafe for me to attend an 8hr excursion and more important for me to seek medical assistance. When trying to contact TUI at c.6.30am to inform, and ask if we could get a refund or reschedule for another day, I was shocked to find out TUI’s stance on the situation and that no refund or reschedule would be possible.

Knossos zelf was zeker de moeite waard, maar als je met de auto zou gaan je maar een half uur onderweg zou zijn, verwacht je niet meer dan 2 uur in de bus te zitten. De Nederlandse gids wist veel te vertellen. Wij hebben besloten terug met de lijnbus te gaan omdat we meer wilde zien (o.a archeologisch museum en haven) hier was anders geen tijd voor geweest. Kortom zeker een bezoek waard maar niet met TUI. Het is zelf makkelijk te regelen met lijnbus en met taxi ben je zelfs nog goedkoper uit!

Eintauchen in die Geschichte. Von der Hotelabholung und wieder zurück, hat alles super geklappt. Unsere Reiseleitung sprach super deutsch und hatte unheimlich viel Fachwissen. Wir hatten über 40 Grad. Das war heftig warm. Diesen Ausflug können wir trotzdem wärmstens empfehlen.

Guide hat super auf hochgradig sehbehinderte teilnehmende geachtet. Guide hatte sehr viel Wissen und war sehr bemüht. Der Weg von der Unterkunft zur Bushaltestelle war katastrophal. Es gibt keine Gehwege, so dass hochgradig sehbehinderte Personen Schwierigkeiten haben, den Weg zu finden und Angst haben, vom Auto überfahren zu werden. Obwohl es sich bei dem Weg nicht um die Schnellstraße handelte, fuhren die Autos viel zu schnell.

Der Bus war super klimatisiert. Tourguide, eine Dame hat super die Geschichte und Entstehung der Cretaner erklärt, sowie die ganze Historie zum Palace of Knossos, war sehr interessant! Allerdings war der Aufenthalt in der Stadt Heraklion zu kurz um zu essen und anschließend zu shoppen,eine Stunde mehr wäre besser! Ansonsten eine wirklich interessante Tour,sehr zu empfehlen!

We enjoyed the trip, but was disappointed to find out that we paid £51 each for our children and entrance to Knossos was free for them so £102 for a bus was very expensive and not value for money at all. The guide was very good, although she did depart before dropping off anyone at the hotel which is the first time I’ve seen that. Plenty of time for shopping, overall good but not happy with price for children

Durée de trajet bcp trop longue ! De l’hôtel Anemos jusqu’au site de Cnossos: 3h10 minutes ! Un cauchemar! Nous avons fait des détours pour aller chercher des gens dans tous les hôtels de la côte ! Le profit avant tout apparemment… J’ai juste négocié 15 min pour retarder le retour. A ne pas proposer , ainsi du moins, aux personnes dans un hôtel si éloigné.!

Trop de personnes pour cette excursion notamment pour visiter le site de Knossos. Normalement limité à 16 personnes. Nous étions 2 fois plus nombreux. Il aurait fallut 2 guides pour la visite du site et avoir un peu de temps. Pour le reste de l’excursion, temps suffisant pour visiter Heraklion. De plus le prix est beaucoup plus élevé qu’un autre prestataire.

The bus driver Faye ( bus 85) and the tour guide were brilliant! They were both friendly on arrival. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all my sons questions. My son is 13 and we had to pay more for him thank my 9 year old due apparently due to his age meaning the prices being considered an adult by the Palace. It was very clear that his entrance to sites was free as he as under 18. There is no need to charge extra for children over 12. The ticket had 0 and we were told that under 18s are free at all Greek sites. The cruise ships being in meant the site was so busy so you couldn’t really take you time and look at stuff.

Technischer Zustand des Busses lies zu wünschen übrig, da auf dem Rückweg die Bodenplatte des Ganges zum Motorraum sich glöst hat. Und somit warme nach Abgasen riechende Luft in den Bus kam. Neuere Busse wären schön.

It was a really good day out. Wasn’t too long of a day for us. 9:10am -4:45pm. The lady was very informative. Took us to all the right places. The only down fall of the day was that it was far too hot 34 degrees walking around all day. And the queues to get into the site and to see the throne. They were incredibly long. But apart from that it was a really good day.

It was extremely hot which may have clouded my view. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, however, on a previous visit some years ago the commentary was more succinct which was more in keeping with the temperature. We had to drop out of the tour as my grandson found the heat too much. Perhaps the option could be given to make your own way round in the future?

Der Ausflug war sehr gut organisiert. Die Reiseleiterin war super nett und hat wirklich alles gut erklärt. Sie gab viel Wissen über die Geschichte und die Historie der Insel weiter. Die Zeit in Knossos ist eng bemessen. Es wäre wünschenswert, das man vielleicht jedem Teilnehmer eine Flasche Wasser mit auf den Weg gibt. Es ist im Sommer ja doch sehr heiß. Wir kennen das von anderen Reisen, da kann man beim Busfahrer gekühltes Wasser erwerben...nur so eine Anregung.

We did not enjoy at all this trip. The guide wasn’t professionel either friendly. The tur was not well organized, we just going around until over 14 for lunch. We are a family with small kids, the kids were so tired all day walking around. When we were buying the tur, the seller didn’t mention at all it was like this, otherwise we would never booked the tur! It was an horrible experience!

Der Ausflug war sehr schön und hat uns sehr gefallen. Sowohl die Organisation als auch der Ablauf waren sehr gut. Besonders ist die Reiseleiterin zu erwähnen die uns durch den Tag begleitet hat. Sehr freundlich und mit einem sehr großen Wissen konnte Sie uns vieles über die Griechische Geschichte berichten. Dieser Ausflug ist sehr zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank.

Horaire respecté conforme à notre réservation. Nous ne volonté ns pas uu.e jour entière combinée avec la visite d'Heraklion. Géraldine notre hôtesse est à l'hotel, .nous à proposé d'accompagner le groupe et sommes retourner en taxi( à nos frais cela nous convenait puisque nous étions de retour pour le lunch). Maria est une guide très competente6 parle parfaitement le français et n'est avare d'explications. Elle est attentive au bien de tous..Nous recommandons à 100%. Merci Maria Géraldine

En køretur på knap 3 timer var for lang, idet der skulle samles mange gæster op under vejs. Der var ufattelig mange ved knossos og vi gik som sild i en tønde i varmen. Tre timer i Heraklion var okay. Turen var som sådan fin, men bare alt for lang køretur i det hele. Turen hjem gik bedre fordi nogle af gæsterne blev kørt i taxa, så lidt kortere tur hjem.

Guide incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic all day so no issue with her but as the attraction allows seemingly no limit to how many people it lets in the crowds ruined the experience. The group were continually “strung” out so when descriptions of the palace were given it was lost on those of us at the rear so had no idea what was being spoken about. In the end you completely missed the whole history and were just wandering amongst ruins having no insight into what you were seeing.

The pick up point was an hours journey from where I was staying so I cancelled at the last minute. TUI staff phoned me the evening before to confirm I would get a refund but was then refused the refund when I returned to the UK as I had no proof that the phone call had happened. TUI staff phoned me so I had no choice in the communication medium but that was then used to refuse refund. Terribly planned excursion and extremely disgraceful customer service upon return to the UK.

Pobi was very helpful and informative on the tour of Knossos palace and explained things well. Being fast tracked in was great and the arphones helped us hear the ininformation easily. Worthwhile trip so you know the history. Great! We were further back going through the town and with so much noise, felt like we may have missed some information. We did enjoy the town and shopping eating experience was very nice. Recommending the tour and Pobi and the driver. Enjoyed the day ththoroughly. :):)

Ce fut une superbe journée. Notre guide Maria est extraordinaire. On voit qu'elle a de l'expérience et à été de très bon conseils. Je pense que c'est par souci de chaleur sinon la visite aurait pu duré un peu plus longtemps selon moi. Afin de pouvoir voir un peu plus en détails certaines pièces/endroits. Aussi le temps libre juste après la visite aurait pu être un peu plus long, car un peu juste pour nous qui avons fait le musée d'heraklion.

Knossos was leuk en is een aanrader als je geïnteresseerd bent in geschiedenis. Met deze excursie heb je er een gids bij die veel over Knossos kan vertellen en dat is maar goed ook, want zonder uitleg zou het niet heel veel aan zijn. Heraklion is niet veel aan. We kregen een paar uur om er rond te lopen, maar dat was eigenlijk al te lang. Het is een oude stad, maar dat zie je er nauwelijks van af. Weinig interessante punten. Vanuit Stalis een lange reistijd vanwege vele pick-up van andere mensen

The Palace tour was very interesting, our guide Irene was very knowledgeable. We went on 1st July and it was very hot to be stood outdoors at midday, we suggest you start the tour a bit earlier in the day during the high summer months. There wasn’t much to do in Heraklion as there wasn’t really the time to visit the Museum. So if the tour started earlier and then finished a bit later it would allow time to visit the Museum and do it justice.

The highlight was supposed to be Knossos Palace visit. It was very busy so no fault of the guide, however after her tour there was less than half an hour of free time given to explore the ruins (minus 10 minutes queuing for toilet!). Then to be given 3 hours in Heraklion was too much time. The balance was no good in my opinion. The Palace was what I had booked the trip for. Disappointed.

-Tui Beraterin Tina im Hotel hat uns sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen und auch viel zu den einzelnen Touren erzählt. Wir haben dann diese Tour bei ihr gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Von der Abholung bis zum zurück bringen zum Hotel war alles super organisiert. Da es sich hier um einen Kultur-Ausflug handelt, wurde sehr viel über die Geschichte erzählt. Wir fanden es sehr interessant aber leider zu lange an einem Punkt erzählt. Tour ist empfehlenswert.

A very god tour with an excellent tour guide who is both knowledgeable and passionate. A great speaker who really brought the tour to life. Very adamant on making sure to let him know if we felt unwell in the heat and to keep hats on and hydrated. A really great experience. The following trip to Heraklion was also great and he gave further talks on local historical points of interest before leaving us for a few hours to explore in our own time. Would highly recommend.

Die Führung im Palast von Knossos war zu schnell. Mehr Zeit wäre schön gewesen. Der Transfer von Knossos nach Heraklion incl. Altstadtführung hat mal gerade 35 Minuten gedauert und dann hatten wir Freizeit bis 15:00 Uhr. Danach wurden wir ohne Reisebegleitung wieder zum Hotel gebracht und waren um 15:15 Uhr wieder zurück. Laut unserer Reisebegleitung im Hotel war das so nicht vorgesehen.

Der Ausflug nach Knossos hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Dank den Erzählungen der Reiseleiterin fühlte man sich auch direkt in die griechischen Sagen hineinversetzt. In Hiraklion hat sie uns dann zu bedeutenden Sehenswürdigkeiten geführt und danach hatte man genügend Zeit die Dinge, die einen interessieren ausgiebig zu bewundern bzw zu shoppen und essen.

Knossos palace was much too crowded, why go there on days when you know cruise ships will be arriving? The guide was very knowledgeable but unfortunately it was too much information to take in. I would have liked more time to explore at my own pace. It was an eleven hour day for us, but most of that time was take up with picking up and dropping off other passengers.

Caterina is a very knowledgeable guide, she was always available to answer all questions and told us about of myths, keeping us busy during the bus ride. Die Tour beinhaltet den Transfer nach Knossos und einen Stop zentral in der Altstadt von Heraklion (fußläufig am Archäologischen Museum). Die Führung im Palast hat etwas mehr als eine Stunde gedauert und danach war noch Zeit eigenständig herumzulaufen und Fotos zu schießen. Die Führung war gut und informativ. Die Führung in der Stadt war kurz und dann war Zeit zu bummeln oder ins Museum zu gehen für 2,5 h.

Es hat gepasst, Palast von Knossos besichtigt, die Fremdenführerin hat auch hier etwas überzogen - keine Zeit für eigenständiges erkunden. Anschließend ein Stadtbummel in Heraklion mit genügend Zeit um sich paar Sehenswürdigkeiten anzuschauen und durch die Geschäfte zu stöbern.

Guide was very very good. Informative and clear. Could have done with a umbrella or guide stick as can be crowded and get lost in crowded town. This lead to audio guide earpiece breaking up due to distance. Overall worth it and would do it again.

45 minutes wait for the Kings room , in very hot temperatures, with no shade , made me and my partner very uncomfortable , Heraklion tour was very good through the streets , very good restaurants for lunch , the tour guide was exceptional

Loved visiting Knossos and our guide Maria was great, very informative, clear and enthusiastic. The major downside of this trip is the transfer, told it could be up to 2 hours each way, it wasn't, it was 3. Six hours on a coach, no free time in Knossos to look round for ourselves which was the whole point of going, was frustrating. We were on the coach for longer than we were actually in Heraklion & Knossos, which is only a 1 hour drive Had we known this we wouldn't have booked it.

The only downside was having a 2.5 hour journey by coach from our hotel. Stopping for the other hotel drop off/picks ups got very frustrating

The guide, Maria, was excellent. Once the interference on the head set was understood her commentary was very informative. She’s very passionate about the local history and it’s good to listen to her .. The transfer was long but that’s inevitable given the number of pick ups … Overall a very good day.

Wir fanden den Ausflug sehr interessant, auch unser Reiseführerin hat einen richtig guten Job gemacht. Ihre Erzählungen war sehr spannend und es gab auch immer mal ein Späßchen zwischendurch, unsere Kinder hingen an ihren Lippen. Im Ganzen war alles gut getaktet und es war genug Zeit für alles.

Our guide was 1st class. Full of knowledge and kept the tour interesting during the knossos palace tour and stop over tour we had on the end. Excellent trip, well worth the money.

Busfahrer sehr gut.Aber Busfahrt war mit ca.3 Stunden pro Fahrt sehr lang. Reiseleiterin war sehr gut, viele Informationen.
