Der Bus fuhr viel zu schnell immer nur gas, bremse, links und rechts völlig über höhte Geschwindigkeit und riskante Überholmanöver . Wir wollten den Ausflug gerne auf Deutsch. Dies war auch nicht möglich, am Wasserfall. Der Ausflug war viel zu kurz dafür auf der Pelikan Bar viel zu lang.

Rum proeverij was leuk het enige onderdeel waar te merken was dat het niet om de fooi ging. Ys waterfal was echt schandalig, iemand die 200 meter met je meeloopt en meteen het handje ophoud. 5 min waterval en meteen weer weg, wij zijn niet bij de pelican bar geweest maar bij de black river crocks kijken, aan het einde werd geadviseert ijsje te eten a 6us dollar per bolletje. Vind sowieso dat riu de plank mis slaat door schandalige prijzen te vragen voor de service. Voor ons geen riumeer, schande

Appleton was ok but the ys falls was a waste of time and money. We only had about an hour there and was shown up to the falls had a picture taken and walked straight back down again so had about 20 minutes on the falls . We was then shown to the swimming pool where we had 40 minutes… a complete waste.

Uns hat der Ausflug sehr gut gefallen, ausser die Pelikanbar. Es war zwar interessant zu sehen, aber extra dort hin hat sich nicht rentiertiert. Auch der Aufenthalt mit 1h vor Ort war viel viel zu lang, 15 min hätte gereicht. Dafür war der Aufenthalt an den Wasserfälle viel zu kurz. Mit 1h 15 min. musste man sich sehr beeilen, wir haben gar nicht alles sehen können. Dies sollte man lieber separat anbieten, weil das war das eigentliche Highlight.

Der Ausflug hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Allerdings ist der Preis etwas zu hoch alles im allem hätten 120 Euro p. P meiner Meinung auch ausgereicht. Das Mittagsessen hätte besser sein können, z. B für den hohen Gesamtpreis hätten wir uns eher ein Mottagsessen bei Appelton Rum gewünscht. Am besten direkt über TUI online buchen, dann hat man einen günstigeren Preis als bei der Tui Reiseleitung.

A very very long day, Appleton tour was excellent, YS falls was also very beautiful but would have liked longer. The Pelican Bar was also a great experience but would have liked longer and not have had to wait around for a boat. Over 7hrs spent on a small uncomfortable coach, a lot for one day.

Appleton rum was 10/10, thoroughly enjoyed this part of the excursion. The rest just didn’t seem to work well with this experience. The roads are hazardous bordering on dangerous and the driver did not drive to the conditions of the road, genuinely terrifying getting thrown about in the bus when going over pot holes. Would have appreciated more time at the Appleton Estate to try the restaurant to make this experience even better.

The tour driver was a lunatic. I have been an advanced HGV driving instructor for over 20 years and I have never felt so frightened. Two members of my group felt travel sick. Some seatbelts of the vehicle were unserviceable. I recorded speeds of up to 80kmh in 50kmh limit built up areas. We entered corners at break neck speeds. Despite concerns about the standard of driving been expressed to the tour guide, nothing changed. I thought they TUI would be responsible enough to ensure we were safe.

Very expensive. Too long on coach (2 1/2 hours) wife was ill and unable to go. Unable to get refund for her as she was only taken ill the night before trip. 193 usd a lot of money to lose. Appleton was great. Ys and bar nothing too exciting. Food not acceptable.

30 mins late picking me up, your guide acted really grumpy at pick and didn’t really interact with us although she was very knowledgeable about the area, Felt so rushed at Appleton, rushed at YS fall- had to take our “ lunch” as a take away at falls- very confusing at falls and really not worth the money or time, lunch was not good, Pelican interesting but we didn’t need an hour there!!! We loved visiting the places, although I feel the time spent at Pelican Bar could have been reduced as an hour felt like a long time. The duration of travel was VERY long! I feel better planning needs to be put in to this as we were picked up from Lucea and then travelled over to Negril to collect others, meaning we then went back on ourselves to travel to Appleton, then on to YS Falls and then Pelican Bar. Maybe this needs to be reordered to Pelican Bar, Appleton and YS Falls to make more sense

The trip I feel was miss sold to us 9 1/2hrs on a bus for 3.5hrs of experience a very long day very disappointed with the length of time to get to the 3 experiences. I would not recommend this trip to anyone who asked, condition of the roads were terrible in part due the recent hurricane but we were never informed about the condition of the roads. Guide and driver of the bus were excellent and very informative, we should have listened to others who had been on the trip previously

Die TourGide'in mit Fahrer waren sehr pünktlich und hat sehr viel über Jamaika erzählt. Das war spitze. Auch so hat sie sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert.

Wir haben den Ausflug auf Deutsch gebucht, einen halben Tag früher kam die Nachricht das der Ausflug auf englisch ist. Es wäre schöner gewesen, uns entscheiden zu lassen ob wir den Ausflug dann machen möchten.der Guide, ich buche einen Ausflug um auch bisschen was vom Land und Leute zu erfahren Die Dame hat sich lieber mit dem Busfahrer unterhalten als mit uns zu sprechen. Im Nachhinein haben wir uns sehr geärgert, wurden von A nach B gefahren ohne ein Wort. Ich kann das nur bedingt empfehlen

The driver Patrick and our tour guide were fantastic however I am so tired and upset that you states it was 8 hours and was local it’s taken us 10 hours of driving and a total of 14 hours out! Mostly sitting on the bus driving! This needs to be mentioned in the description. I also think there should be some warning to the devastation of the island after hurricane Melissa! I wish we had been prepared to see it!

The coach was 30 minutes late. The coach was packed, seating was poor, seat beats were not working, therefore a safety hazard. There were 19 adults on the coach. We had very little leg room. The Appleton tour guide was superb very knowledgeable. We were given a midmorning snack of a patty. Our tour guide mixed up the order .This mistake was Potentially dangerous,. The dinning experience was poor flies everywhere. The food was poor quality. This trip was not value for money. I feel cheated.

- Time at Appleton Rum was too short in the shop to purchase goods. - Food selection was very poor, especially as vegetarian. - it is sold as an 8hour day, but in reality is 13 hours for 3 activities, there all crammed in. - Most of the 13 hours are spent on travel, as you get, 1.5 hrs Appleton rum, 1 hr YS falls, 45 mins in pelican bar. Excursion 3hrs 15 mins remainder travel. - vehicle provided for travel very uncomfortable, no leg room etc in the sheer heat for the cost per person.

Es war ein tolles Erlebnis.Appleton Estate Führung,Rum Tasting war sehr interessant.Die Wasserfälle waren gigantisch,das Wasser zwar sehr kalt-aber durch die Hitze erfrischend. Die Pelican Bar muss man gesehen und erlebt haben. Die Busfahrt nach Appleton war sehr lange (2 3/4 Stunden hin und nochmals das Gleiche zurück.Aber der tolle Tagesausflug hat sich gelohnt und würde ihn weiterempfehlen.

The stops were amazing the journey from Negril was long. On the way in the morning a stop at a Jamaican Pati shop for breakfast was fab too. Be prepared for a full 7.30am-7.30pm experience but so worth it the rum tasting and the waterfalls awesome. Finishing off at the Pelican Bar. Top day!

Appleton rum and ys falls were very good experiences. Pelican bar was a bit of a let down. Idea was good but execution poor. Nice to have a short boat trip but from a dump of a beach to a ramshackle bar in the middle of a bay?!! No more to say.

Appleton rondleiding tot in de puntjes geregeld. YS falls erg mooi alleen aanwezigheid lifeguard niet overal waargenomen. Pelican Bar draait waarschijnlijk op het verleden en commercieel ingesteld. Al met al prima dagje en steekt Appleton er wat mij betreft met kop en schouders bovenuit. Natuurlijk ook commercieel maar ze smeren je niks aan en het personeel hoeft het waarschijnlijk niet van de tips te hebben dus dat scheelt ook gezeur aan je hoofd. Soms word je als een wandelende ATM gezien.

Was a long trip but very enjoyable . Guide Yevan & the driver Captain Kirk both very good . Guide was so knowledgable and driver very good especially with a lot of winding uneven road surfaces . Would recommend this trip if you want to see a bit of everything as we drive through a lot of different areas enroute .

The Appleton rum tour and pelican bay was great. But we wasn’t made aware of the travel time when booking, if you get travel sickness the journey isn’t great. We wasn’t made aware when booking we was going to YS falls so we didn’t pack any swimwear. Overall I think it’s a big upscale and wouldn’t do it again.

Wir haben den Ausflug in die YS-Falls gebucht, da wir dort baden und an den Lianen schwingen wollten (siehe Ausflugsbroschüre). Der Zutritt in die YS-Falls ist nicht möglich gewesen. Lediglich ein Zugang um Fotos zu schiessen, an dem Geld kassiert wurde. Es gibt keine natürlichen Becken zum Schwimmen mehr. Lediglich 1Becken, welches mehr an einen Swimmingpool erinnerte und sich ca. 100 Menschen drin tummelten. Massentourismus und Abzocke: Ein Bus nach dem anderen. Gedrängel auf dem Trampelpfad.

Our tour guide Hugh was exceptional, a wealth of experience and knowledge about the island its people,history and economy. He had the right balance of talking vs quiet reflection throughout the trip. We felt safe with our driver. Would definitely recommend.

Downside was the delay in pickup at secrets wild orchid over an hour late and nothing from TUI . Luckily the staff at secrets wild orchid did there stuff and chased the problem up . Overall the day was good and we did enjoy apart from the disappointing start.

Loved Appletons and Y S. The Pelican Bar is and should never be Tui experience, waste of money. Pressure from the minute we arrived, we spent more than enough on the experience yet felt this spoilt the day and we would have loved to have spent more time on the other two experiences. Completely a horrible feeling especially when you pay to enjoy yourself. The Pelican Bar is nice but should not be something that TUI Offer some where like Lovers Leap would be a much better experience

13 hour round trip from the hotel! 4 hours drive there despite being told it was a couple of hours away. Rum tour was good. Lots of waivers to sign for waterfalls! Poor weather meant the falls were dangerous. All other pools there were closed due to lightning. Had to stay the full length of our allotted time huddled from the rain. Drove to pelican bar beach and they were closed due to the thunder and lightning. Drove back to the hotel. Five hundred dollars for four of us.

If I would have known about the horrendous journey to Appleton estate I wouldn’t have booked!!! I can’t review the tour as I was too unwell from the journey there to take it!!! guide and driver 10/10 YS falls & pelican bar 10/10 travel and motion sickness travellers please be aware before booking the road there is an awful journey!! If I had known I would have booked a different excursion for my wedding anniversary but we I suppose we live and learn as they say

We were not involved of the travel time included in this day. The rum experience was OK but we didn't do the other two experiences. A complete waste of money and I will be making a formal complaint. As a travel advisor you have not been transparent or communicated the accurate details for this excursion accurately.

A brilliant, great value for money trip! Yes it’s a long journey, but you’re able to see the different Jamaican towns as you drive through, it’s all coastal and part of the day!! The rum tasting was brilliant! Informative and fun! The YS falls are beautiful and unlike anything back home and the boat trip to the pelican bar was the cherry on top!! Like three trips in one!! Tiring but well worth it!!

De tour zou 8 uur zijn maar was uiteindelijk 12 uur. De reis met de bus was zeer gevaarlijk. Bus reed erg hard langs de afgrond en door de bochten. Bus had geen gordels. De plaatsen die we bezocht hebben waren erg mooi.

Keine Tour auf Deutsch verfügbar - dann sollten sie auch nicht angeboten werden. Englisch für uns sehr mühsam - der Guide redete sehr schnell und viel zu viel! Der Fahrer raste - fuhr aber sicher. Die Tour selber war sehr gut - empfehlenswert. Leider spielt das Wetter derzeit nicht mit - jeden Nachmittag Regen. Überlegung ob Touren auch bei Regen gemacht werden - sie sind ja auch nicht gerade preiswert!

Appleton rum was amazing the guide at the estate had a lot of knowledge was really interesting.Had lunch at the YS falls which is so lovely you can climb the fallls or zip line down it was so nice. The pelican bar is a must see you can buy food and drink there it was really nice and the staff was so friendly.

Really enjoyed the tour. We loved the Appleton rum estate tour and enjoyed our time at YS falls. Our tour guide Yvonne was able to show us how to get a guide for the falls who helped us to climb the falls and took excellent photos throughout. The pelican bar was great too very unique. Our tour guide Yvonne was excellent and very informative during the bus journey! Our driver Kit was also amazing! We really enjoyed it, was a great experience!

The Appleton Rum Estate tour made it a 10 it was excellent. Wasn’t expecting to climb the Falls ?? It was a very long day @12 hrs door to door from Negril. Tired and weary by the time we got to the Pelican bar. YS Falls and The Pelican bar maybe a trip on its own so more time could be spent at both.

The trip states 8 hours and it was 12 for us and more for others from other hotels. The first location was a 3 hour drive. We were told 8 hours and missed a photoshoot at our hotel and a dinner reservation and as we fly home Thursday we have missed the chance to do either of these due to the timeframe left. Others on the trip had a young child and said they don’t have done it if they had known it was such a long drive.

We were told suitable for a toddler. It was supposed to be a 8 hour trip, but took 13 hours total, and the additional 5 hours were driving on terrible roads only. It was a 3+ hour drive to get to the first stop, not at all suitable for a toddler. The pelican bar would perhaps have been nice if we were 20 year old weed smoking backpackers, but we had a toddler and were stuck on a pile of sticks in the middle of the ocean with a bunch og sky high 50+ year old Jamaican beach bums. Not our vibe.

The trip was advertised as 8 hours, it was 14 hours! We really enjoyed the Appleton Rum tour and YS Falls, and if the trip had ended there it would have been perfect. The Pelican Bar was about as far away from our hotel as you can get and took over 3 hours to get back. We felt that adding an extra 6 hours to go to a shack in the sea was unnecessary.

It would be nice for the trip to say it was 3hrs each way, to the first event and from the Pelican bar. Left 07.15 and got back 20.00. It would off been nice to have a toilet stop on the way back and to get refreshments. Otherwise we enjoyed the whole experience

This was a long day 14hrs. The visits felt a bit rushed as so much in one day. However all very enjoyable although the driver was a bit nippy over numerous potholes & there were no seatbelts. Several stops at service stations which seemed the “norm” to get us in to shop! Morning comfort break & then a welcome patties & water whilst driving. You do see a lot of the Parishes on this trip. Rum tasting was well organised, lunch at waterfalls & the Pelican Bar (can pay by card there but cash easier).

Myself and Husband enjoyed this trip from start to finish. The only thing we weren’t a fan off was the long drive back on the bus as not much room however. I don’t think this could be helped and considering that everything else was wonderful we’re not grumbling. Our guide was so friendly and informative aswell as the driver. You got to do everything that it stated and see a lot of the “real Jamaica” whilst on the drive. I recommend this especially if you want to tick a few things off your list

The tour was well put together and if you love rum it's worth a visit. Our guide and driver where lovely. The waterfalls where beautiful and pelican bar was definitely an experience not to be missed. Only downside was we where so far away so we didn't get long at the falls which isn't a fault of the guides.

We hated the journey. The mini bus was not suitable for the journey. They warned us when we got on we would get a free back massage due to the Jamaican roads. However the roads were extremely rough and you needed a 4 x 4 for the suspension. The guides and the actual experience were excellent. Two of my party were extremely travel sick which ruined the day! A lot of money was spent to be sick!

Tamika and Dennis were brilliant. Overall we found the experience very informative and had great fun! The group size was quite small which was nice. We loved all the places we visited. It was a really long day travelling through challenging roads but we felt that we learnt a lot and had time to enjoy the different places we visited. The only negative was TUI advising some people that the tour had been cancelled. This caused an unnecessary delay in the morning whilst people got ready.

Absolutely loved the Appleton Rum tour and YS Falls and that could have been it for the excursions. The Pelican Bar I feel was a ‘add on and not really worth the visit. The Appleton Rum tour was amazing and very interactive and was lovely to spend time at the YS Falls and chill for a bit.

A great trip with Maureen our guide and Chris our driver. As it was an early start, provided with a Jamaican patty breakfast. Tours were great Appletons especially for a rum lover. YS falls a great site lovely scenery with a bite to eat. The Pelican Bar is a must to see, what a brilliant novel idea and experience definitely a must to visit. A well worth trip.

Das Highlight weswegen wir den Ausflug gebucht haben ist leider ausgefallen. Da uns das nicht vorher mitgeteilt wurde, hatten wir nicht einmal die Chance vom Ausflug zurück zu treten. Wir haben somit 380$ für einen Ausflug bezahlt, den wir so nicht gebucht hatten. Wir haben weniger als einen Tag vor Antritt den Ausflug in Bar bezahlt und uns wurde erst sehr spät mitgeteilt dass die Wasserfälle wegen Regen ausfallen. Rechtlich gesehen ist das sehr zweifelhaft. Sehr schade!

Der Ausflug war insgesamt viel zu lang. 3 Stunden Busfahrt bis zu Appleton Rum, dort war eine gute Führung und Verkostung. Leider wurde uns im Bus erst mitgeteilt, daß die Wasserfälle geschlossen hätten (angeblich)und wir dafür zum black river fahren. Das war sehr enttäuschend, da wir den Ausflug deshalb gebucht hatten. Pelikan bar war auch nichts tolles, eine alter Holzbau,der nicht zu einem Drink einladend war. WIR waren sehr enttäuscht vom Ausflug, viel zu teuer, ein verlorener Urlaubstag.

Appleton tour was interesting and well lead by Peter. YS falls were very good but with only one hour there we did not get the best from them. Pelican Bar was similar and, with a 15 year old with us, less obvious weed smoking would have been preferable. Michael, the driver, did very well on some very poor roads with other drivers who clearly want to die young. All in all, this tour tries to cover too much ground - too long in the bus, not enough time at the attractions. 2 sites would be better.

We had a choice to do Black River as part of our tour rather than Appleton. The Black River was good, we only saw one crocodile but understandably it’s just luck of the draw! It was a good trip though. YS Falls was also really enjoyable and the Pelican Bar was different although quite small and cramped. Our tour guide Vivianne was very energetic and full of information.

Appleton Estate amazing. YS falls - was not explained very well and I feel we missed out on having a really good look around Pelican Bar - a nice place to visit but sellers of bracelets/name carving were a little pushy and so it was not as relaxing as it could be. But definitely one to do as it is unique. As it was 3 experiences time was short on each. Our guide on the bus to get us from A-B made the trip. She were funny and pointed out sights as we went.

Haben die Tour mit deutscher Begleitung gebucht, weil nur 6 von 8 deutschen Teilnehmern gebucht hatten konnten wir wir uns nur der englischen Tour anschließen. Parallel fand aber eine dt geleitete Tour statt , was wir bei den Ys- Fals zufällig erfuhren. Schade! Die Pelikan Bar ist absolut nicht empfehlenswert! 7$ für ein Bier, kein nutzbares WC, Bretterverschlag, Nein Danke! Appleton Besichtigung war ok. Alles lief pünktlich und zuverlässig ab. Preis- Leistung ok.

Der Guide hat 20 Minuten auf uns gewartet, wir waren am falschen Hotel. Leider war das, das positivste am Ausflug. Appleton Rum zu lang, YS Falls ebenfalls. Die Pelican Bar ist ein schlechter Scherz. Reinste Abzocke. Die Kühnheit des Busfahrers war bemerkenswert. Wir haben überlebt, ich weiß nicht ob es Glück oder können war. Sie war auf jeden Fall ein Erlebnis. Fabulous trip, as well as visiting the 3 areas this excursion showed the real Jamaica which our tour guide Andrea was very knowledgeable, funny & interesting. The only downside was the whole day travelling was very long & in total from pick up to drop off at our hotel was 13 hours. Unfortunately we had to cut our last visit to the Pelican Bar short as we ended up travelling back to our hotel on a different bus. Overall a great trip & fun day

Need more information of food that was included in the tour, just said food included lunch, well what does that mean? Should be clearly explained due to dietary & allergies. It was a long day & the bus journey is very bumpy, should explain this more clearly when advertising & give timings to each destination. Tolle Tour bei der man viele Eindrücke gewinnt. Die Rumverkostung war auch sehr schön und interesant Schön anzusehen auch die YS-Wässerfälle und tollem Badeerlebnis. Die Pelikan-Bar ist nicht unbedingt ein Besuch wert, aber trotzdem für die eine oder den anderen schon. Die Tour ist mit 8 Std. angegeben aber bei unserer Tour sind aus 8 Std. gleich 12 Std. geworden. Der Ausflug lohnt sich !!!

I think letting people know that it is a full day , we were out for 13 hours . We enjoyed the whole experience and felt safe , at all times . The tour guide Sis was lovely. All three places we visited were great . A big shout out to Peter from Appleton as he was our guide there and was fantastic. A real credit to the estate .

Loved the tour, every aspect was great EXCEPT the behaviour of tour guide Yvonne - at the pelican bar stop whilst waiting on the beach a stray dog approached us. The poor thing was skin and bones, clearly starving. It came and stood close by, not doing anything but Yvonne took it upon herself to pick up a water bottle filled with sand that had been lying on the beach and throw it at the poor dog hitting its back legs. She found this hilarious so if animal cruelty is your thing then youre in luck

Dank unseres Guide Vinnae hatten wir einen wunderbaren Tag. Die Appleton Tour war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, schön gestaltet, informativ und mit leckerer Verkostung. Ys Falls mit seinen Wasserfällen und Naturpools inmitten des grünen Dschungels hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Bad in der Mittagshitze tat richtig gut. Die Pelican Bar zu sehen war interessant. Aber die Getränkepreise sind überteuert. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Ausflug.

At the appleton distillery the guide was informative and we got to taste the process as you went along. Ys falls were beautiful. Staff were tentative. Felt like we could have had longer there though. Lunch was provided which was nice. Journey from Negril was long. Bus air con did not work so in 32 degrees heat it wasn't pleasant. Roads were bumpy but all adds to the experience. Our guide on the bus called Sis was great. She taught us some lingo and was very informative. The patties were yummy.

Guide ( Yvonne ) and driver ( Leon) were excelled. Well organised and timed perfectly. A relaxing, smooth, informative day. Loved the rum tasting, great to try sugar cane and 3 vintages of rum. YS falls was beautiful, plenty of time there to enjoy it. Pelican bar was a let down, commercial and very expensive, $10 per word carved into the wood and for a picture taken and emailed to you. Glad we did it but wouldn’t do the pelican bar again, YS and Appleton yes, 100%.

The trips were fantastic although I wouldn’t recommend pelican bar for children. The day was 13hrs in total from leaving and returning. Really long day travelling from place to place and could have done of being told that snacks etc would be needed for throughout the day as not much time to get food from the venues.

Our main guide Yvonne was fantastic 10/10. Unfortunately the guide at YSFalls was not great. Didn't introduce himself, tell us anything about the Falls, just took us to 3 spots and took photos then left saying your ended.

Loved the variety of the tour, with 3 very different activities, plus stopping for patties and juice in Savanna La Mar, and it was great to see real Jamaica, outside the tourist compounds. Appleton Rum Estate tour was excellent, very informative (and tasty!). YS Falls was beautiful, very calming and cool. Pelican Bar is quite unique and memorable. Our TUI guide, Sis, was great as was our driver, Leon. We were out for approx 12 hours and we loved every minute of it!

Leider wurde der Ausflug aufgrund zu geringer Teilnehmerzahl nur in Englisch angeboten. Insgesamt war es sehr interessant. Allerdings der Aufenthalt auf der Pelikanbar war zu lang. 30 Minuten hätten da gereicht. Dann wäre der Ausflug auch nicht über 12 Stunden gewesen.

Very long journey times over really terrible roads. So bad we were bounced around in the back of the mini bus so much I ended up with back ache. We were given a Juice Patty to eat whilst travelling which was impossible to eat as you couldn't get it to your mouth it was so bouncey.

Ein abwechslungsreicher Tag. Die Besichtigung von Appleton war interessant und professionell aufgezogen. Die Wasserfälle schön anzuschauen, aber nichts herausragendes. Wer wollte, konnte in den Pools baden. Eine willkommene Erfrischung an heißen Tagen. Zuletzt die Pelican Bar. Unzweifelhaft gehört sie zu den ungewöhnlichsten Bars, die ich je gesehen habe. 1 km vor der Küste wurde sie auf einer Sandbank errichtet.Erreichbarkeit nur mit dem Boot. Dort angekommen kann man trinken oder nur relaxen.

Appleton was ok, bit rushed, lots of pushing to buy products. Didnt get to see YA falls due to heavy rain, went Black river cruise and that was amazing-almost could touch the aligators. Pelican bar was amazing despite the slight drizzle, very relaxed, amazing views.

The Appleton Rum visit was excellent, the visit to YS Falls did not give enough time to enjoy the facilities and the Pelican Bar was good to see but we stayed for too long. The journey to and from the places visited is why I gave a low score fore safety and security, the driver did not give consideration to the party he was driving and the journey to and from the hotel as he drove to fast and myself and my partner thought we could be in an accident at any time, this spoiled the day out.

The disclaimer that you have to fill in should be done when you make the booking NOT when you're bouncing around in the minibus. Apart from that its a great day. Pelican bar is a disappointing experience and glad we didn't do it as a stand alone trip. Would be better to leave out Pelican bar and have the extra time at YS falls

Great excursion. Rum distillery was interesting and interactive. The falls were brilliant! Definitely go swimming and use the rope swing. The bar was a nice end to the day sitting on the edge overlooking the water. It’s a long day coming fr Negril, but enjoyable.

our guid was abit useless couldn't be bothered to be there , driver was too rough when driving through the mountain lanes felt battered getting of the bus due to the state or the roads here. our tour of the YS falls was cancelled and swapped with a black river tour instead due to rain but unsure as to why as we drove past the YS falls and there were tours going on? worth doing the trip just bear in mind the bus ride (5 hours altogether).

Ein empfehlenswerter Ausflug. Es gibt viel zu sehen und erleben. Organisation war gut, wenn auch der Bus und der Fahrer, sagen wir, sehr jamaikanisch waren. Hier wird auf Sicherheit nicht so viel Wert gelegt wie in Deutschland. Aber wenn man sich erst mal and durchgenaddelte Stoßdämpfer, minderwertige Sitze, waghalsige Überholmanheuver und löcherige Straßen gewöhnt hat, fühlt man sich durchaus wohl. :-). Alles in Allem, war es lohnenswert, mit genug Zeit an jeder Station.

De dames van tui die deze uitstap aan ons verkochten melden ons dat het een reis was van 2 uur heen en 2 uur terug. Wij zijn vertrokken om 6u45 en aangekomen om 20u25 De uitstap in appleton was 2uur ,de waterval 1uur en de pelikanen bar 1 uur. D.w.z. dat wij meer dan 9 uur in de bus zaten. Wij waren met een groep van 10 personen en iedereen was wagenziekte. Als men eerlijke informatie hadden gegeven was er niemand mee gegaan. Een grote en dure teleurstelling dus. Guides were excellent, made sure we were safe and that we enjoyed the whole climb on the falls. Pelican is great fun , drinks expensive but it’s in the ocean and that’s awesome. Appleton Rum, our second visit, very good and informative, but a bit rushed. YS falls, our second visit and so much better than last year. Our guide was great and grabbed my phone, took many pictures and videos of us. Pelican bar didn't happen, as when we got there, a storm blew up and it was too dangerous to go out to sea.

Trip was brilliant even though we had bad weather and did not make it to the Pelican Bar. The guide arranged for us to do the Crocodile safari instead which we probably would not have chosen to do but thoroughly enjoyed. Both guide Danika and driver Christopher were excellent. The tour round Appleton Estate and YSL falls we enjoyed too it’s a long day trip but worth the travelling as it’s a brilliant experience.

Overall a good trip. Appleton Rum was informative. YS Falls was fun. Disappointed at not being able to get to the Pelican Bar due to the choppy sea! It was the part of the trip we were most looking forward to. Felt a bit let down that there wasn't an alternative to that part of the experience.

The experience was good, it was such a long day though. Tui said it would it would be 8 hours, we were out for 13 hours. The rum experience, YS falls and the pelican bar was great. The roads are terrible in Jamaica, we were on the bus for 3 hours until we got to Appleton Rum, we felt every bump in the road. Needless to say, my back is in bits today!

There was nothing that I didn't like! The driver Chris and our tour rep Shalanda made a perfect duo for our group. They kept the conversation going all day, we had plenty of laughs to the point I felt like we all were a family for the day. My husband booked this tour for me and I attended alone and felt a bit apprehensive but that feeling disappeared in seconds lol. We were well looked after on each part of the tour. On the tour bus we were educated on Jamaican culture which was brilliant!!.

De excursie is erg leuk. Wij vonden vooral Appelton Rum en YS falls geweldig. Bij Appelton hoor en zie je hoe de rum wordt gemaakt. Ook ervaar je hoe zwaar het voor de slaven was om het sap uit het suikerriet te persen. Bij de proeverij steek je leuke kennis op over de rum. YS falls is een mooie waterval die je goed kunt beklimmen. Een leuk opgezet park. De Pelikaan bar is bijzonder om te zien.

Long day out but worth every penny 7.30am pick up, back at 9.30pm. Brekfast at juicy patties was delicious. Guide and driver were both superb. Appletons tour was superb. Dinmer at YS falls was nice. Would have preferred a bit more time at the YS falls, I did the zipline ($50 extra paid at the falls) which gave some great views and was fun but never had any time to go in the pools and enjoy the falls. Pelican bar was incredible, awesome chilled vibe and a much deserved beer at the end of the day.

From pick up , to drop off we felt same and secure. There was a delay waiting for breakfast, this did not detract from the day . The weather was perfect . We would have gone had it been just for the Appleton estate .which was very informative. My day was made when I found out that one of their copper stills had been made by my dad when he was working as a coppersmith in Scotland! Truly amazing!?? we hope to return in a few years and hopefully my Dad will be able to come too!

This trip was excellent, the guys was superb.the Appleton rum tour was super slick, informative fun and good to try the rums. The falls, wow! The guide takes your phone and takes great pictures and the falls are incredible. We didn’t do the pelican bar due to the hurricane but did a black river mini safari, this was also brilliant, crocodiles and wildlife with a great boat captain. The only negative was the 2 1/2 hour coach drive not the 1 1/2 advised

A very long and tiring day travelling from Lucea, but so worth it. We learned a lot about Rum & enjoyed the tasting. YT Falls was a great experience and a welcome cool down. We got some great pictures from there. The Pelican Bar is amazing! It's like nothing you'd see in England. Have a drink in basically a shack in the middle of the sea which has the most original build I've ever seen :) We saw a Box Fish swimming in the sea while listening to Reggae music and drinking Rum - heaven.

I enjoyed the Appleton. It was very informative, knowledgeable and a very good tour of the estate. Although I didn't go into the river, it was an experience seeing the falls. Going out so far into the sea, at the Pecan Bar. also was very nice. If it was my choice, I would have liked to stay at YS falls much longer and a shorter time, or cut out the trip to the Pecan Bar.

Our tour guide was really informative about the places we traveled through to get to our destinations. The Appleton tour was really good with showing us what stages they make the rum to tasting the rum. The ys falls were amazing and one of the workers took the time to take us on a photo shoot and took the most amazing photos. I would try and do the ys falls separately next time just so you can spend longer there due to not having time to go on the zip line. The pelican bar was a nice way finish

The YS falls was cancelled due to recent bad weather so was taken to black river for boat cruise to see the crocs , was a good replacement and really enjoyable day , especially the rum factory , is a very long day and the travel is not the most comfortable of rides , Pelican bar is good but be prepared to spend as you can’t escape , overall though really enjoyed the whole experience and would recommend , tour guide was brilliant

We found the guide a little quite. The trip to Appleton was worth it and tasting ,but the distance from here to the y valley falls was very long and uncomfortable on the coach with the pot holes in the roads. The falls where great and needed longer time so we could do zip wire as well as the falls but the food was a let down it was very dry better portions.The pelican bar was a qurkey place with plenty of laughter .

The Appleton tour is the most polished and professional one we’ve done. Excellent tour and well worth it. The YS falls tour was good, but felt a little underwhelming. The Pelican bar is a collection of drift wood held together by rubbish. It felt like they wanted to portray a venue used by locals, a real Jamaican experience. However, it was a total mess and the prices were extortionate. We had just over an hour at the bar but were ready to leave well before that. Frankly, just not worth it.

I enjoyed the 3 places we visited. Appleton Rum was fun, our guide, was brilliant and we enjoyed the tour. YS falls was nice but due to the recent rain, we weren't able to go in to the falls- would have been nice if this had been mentioned at time of booking, as we would have done the trip later. Pelican bar was fantastic, really worth seeing. I would recommend this trip but wouldn't recommend doing it with tui- no tui guide, no tui transport so pointless going with tui.

Appleton Rum and YS Falls good value for money. Did not like Pelican bar and thought it was a waste of time it would have been better to extend the time at YS falls. Pelican bar is full of young people smoking weed and selling overpriced drink the boat journey there and not very health and safety wise as not everyone had a life jacket and bar was not nice.

Insgesamt ein schöner Ausflug bis zu den Wasserfällen ,die Pelikanbar kann man sich sparen, man fühlt sich allein,fast verloren. Preis von 185,00 Dollar für eine Person finde ich zu überteuert. Für einen Tagesausflug hätte ich etwas mehr essen und trinken erwartet. Das Mittagessen in der Box serviert zu bekommen für diesen hohen Preis ist schon sehr grenzwertig. Trotzdem würde ich diesen Ausflug weiter empfehlen.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist leider nicht gegeben. Die Ausflüge sind sehr teuer. Bei diesem Ausflug sitzt man sehr lange im Kleinbus. Man bekommt jedoch in dieser Zeit viel über Jamaika zu hören. Leider jedoch auf Englisch, da deutsch zwar in der Tui App angezeigt wird, aber nicht durchgeführt wird. Ansonsten ist die Rumfabrik sowie auch der Wasserfall und die Pelikanbar sehenswert. Hat Spaß gemacht!

Loved the Appleton tour and loved the being shown the process how the rum is produced and the tasting session at the end. YS falls were great but it felt rushed and we would have liked more time there. The Pelican bar was good but the drinks are way over priced. Loved the location though.

We really enjoyed the very informative Rum Distillery Tour. We didn’t enjoy the YS Falls because it was far too crowded, the food was very basic and the restrooms and toilets were echo friendly but filthy. The Pelican Bar was novel but probably more suitable for a younger age group and the allocated time for staying there was too long. It was a very long tiring day travelling on very bumpy roads.

Unser Tourguide war sehr gut. Verpflegung gut. Leider nur noch Massenabfertigung. Von allen Ausflügen war dieser unser bester Ausflug. Auch was den Tourguide anbelangt. Gutes Deutsch, sehr freundlich. Pelikanbar wäre grundsätzlich schön, aber nur Verkaufsshow und Gruppen wurden nur noch durchgeschoben. Getränke 0,2 l sieben Dollar. Schade.

Absolutely loved this whole trip, it’s a long day on bumpy Jamaican roads, but every destination stop was worth it. Appleton was excellent, who wouldn’t love rum tasting!! YS falls is absolutely stunning and the guides made it an experience to remember and were so friendly, last stop Pelican bar and you have to look out over the ocean with a red stripe! I would highly recommend this trip.

Appleton Rum distillery tour was brilliantly informative and interactive, YS falls was well worth the drive, fun on many levels (quite literally). Pelican bar was a little touch of paradise, time well spent unwinding on an idyllic bar on stilts. All this in one tour was amazing but that thing that tied it all together was our excellent guide Wonica and driver Chris providing education, authenticity and pure Jamaican love.

The tour was really interesting and our guide did an excellent job. Unfortunately the trip entailed a lot of travelling between the different attractions. The roads in Jamaica are full of potholes and we spent a lot of time on the coach. This made for an extremely long day of anround eleven hours from pick up to drop off at our hotel.

Appleton Est. was a great experience - loved it all. A small sheet/brochure explaining the plan of the day and what exactly to take to YS falls would have been useful. Weather was bad so we went to Black River instead of Pelican Bar, that was a good alternative but only left us with just over an hour at YS falls and we could have done with a little longer.

An excellent trip. Really interesting. However guide was irritating. Telling riddles, singing and telling us how to live our lives non stop for 3 hours. Also didn’t explain clearly what we needed to take with us on each part of the trip. A shame as the driver and the 3 experiences were great.

This is a long coach journey. We were in a mini bus that was full and not very spacious. Stop on route for Pattie, which is fine for most but not catered for gluten free! Time in Appleton was spot on, rum tasting was good and all very informative. YS Falls lovely waterfalls, but could have spent more time given the journey length. Pelican bar tucked off bucket list, $12 for rum punch out if a pre mixed container. Packed and an hour from shore and return is not enough time. Overall average trip

Sehr toller Guide (Blossom) und guter Fahrer (Leon). Blossom war sehr nett und engagiert und hat immer super informiert. Die Tour bei Appleton war sehr interressant. Die YS Falls sind sehr schön. Waren auch nicht so überlaufen. Auch die Pelican Bar ist sehenswert (Getränke dort etwas teuer). Insgesamt eine sehr tolle Tour. Kann ich empfehlen.

I assume we were running late as the driver was quite erratic on the way there, but fine the rest of the trip, I'd suggest a 06.30 meet instead of 07.05. Tour guide was good fun, but we were near back of the bus and couldn't hear her, she could have moved halfway down and this would have involved everyone more.

Insgesamt war der Ausflug in Ordnung. Allerdings ist es mitunter zu sehr auf Tourismus ausgelegt und zu wenig das wirkliche Jamaika. Das habe ich in anderen Ländern schon besser erlebt. Aber das ist vielleicht normal für Jamaika.

Bei den YS-Wasserfällen war der oberste Teil gesperrt. Für Besucher, welche nicht durch die Wasserfälle klettern, sind die Zugänge schlecht. Die Pelikan-Bar muss man nicht zwingend gesehen haben, Aufenthalt zu lange.

Der Ausflug war deutschsprachig, so wie von der TUI Reiseleitung Christina versprochen. Der Besuch der Rumfabrik lohnt sich, sehr nett gemacht. Die Wasserfälle im Anschluss traumhaft schön, wir haben sogar Kolibris gesehen. Die Pelikan Bar hat den Tag schön abgerundet, das kühle Red Stripe Bier ist zu empfehlen, Dankeschön!

YS Falls very picturesque and the Guide we had (Randy) was extremely helpful, they will take your cameras for you and take plenty of pictures and videos of you so you don’t need to. They didn’t rush us and looked after us very well. The Pelican Bar was a great experience. Not too trumpy with prices and accept cash & cards. A must visit. A long day trip and a very bumpy ride out so be prepared

Das muss man in Jamaika gesehen haben, tolle Erlebnisse! Sehr gut organisiert ??Die Fahrt selbst ein Abenteuer, man fährt durch die Dörfchen wo man von den Einheimischen etwas sehen kann.

Die Tour ansich war sehr schön. Der Besuch der Destillerie war sehr interessant und ausführlich. Auch die Verkostung war sehr professionell. Maxim unsere Reiseleiterin hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben. Sie hat so eine positive Ausstrahlung; das war ansteckend. Sie hat viel übee land und Leute auf der Fahrt berichtet. Ihr Deutsch ist wirklich gut. Die Zeit bei den Wasserfällen war zu kurz. Die Fahrt und die Zeit auf der Pelikan Bar war zu lang und gar nicht unser Ding.

Unsere Reiseleitung war sehr gut hat viel erklärt zu Land und Leuten das hat Spaß gemacht. Die Rumfabrik machte den Eindruck als sei sie nur noch für Touristen, es war nicht ein Destillerie Apperat an. Frühstück war Jamaikanisch sollte man mal probiert haben. Mittag war leider ein bisschen trocken aber sonst gut. Die Pelican Bar war ein Erlebnis. Der Wasserfall war auch sehr schön aber eiskalt. Alle waren super freundlich auf der Tour. Busfahrt war eine Erfahrung.

From the airport to the resort, I would say it was okay. I had to wait 30 minutes for my transport to get there. When I booked the excision it was good. However I didn’t get transportation back to the airport due to a miscommunication. I was downstairs waiting for my transportation for 45mins. I was told the driver came but because he didn’t see me he left. I ended up spending over $100 to get to the airport which was not okay. the staff wasn’t trying to accommodate me, and said it was my fault.

Excursion was told 8 hours was actually 12 hrs15 mins , our driver was very irratic was like a white knuckle ride ! And we were asked to sign a wavier for injuries during transportation. Food hygiene regarding lunch was very basic as to this did not eat !

Excursion en anglais, nous sommes français, vite, vite, vite, voilà ce qui résume l Excursion. Nous avions déjà fait ce type d Excursion il y a quelques années. Tout à changé. Vivienne our guide was happy, informative and entertaining throughout. She made a special effort to make our journey more comfortable and made the time fly by. We did 3 different excursion days and this was our favourite. The Appleton rum was interesting and beautiful, the YS falls were fantastic fun and the pelican bar was worth seeing too. Photographer at pelican bar tried too hard to sell overpriced photos but other than that can’t complain! A day well spent!

Appleton was great, YS Falls was amazing but the pelican bar was a huge disappointment. No music, no atmosphere, no vibes. Just a run down bar on stilts in the sea - wouldn’t recommend the pelican bar unless you like sitting in a quiet atmosphere for an hour.

Het was een informatieve en leuke excursie voor het hele gezin. De watervallen waren echt prachtig. Pelican Bar is hebben we nu 1x gezien maar ik zou er niet echt meer terugkeren. Eenmalig om het te hebben gezien prima maar het is niet echt een hoogtepunt. Voor kleine kinderen vind ik het persoonlijk niet een plek om te zijn. Er wordt Ganja gerookt en daar wil je de kleintjes niet tussen hebben.

Loved the plantation tour- lovely place and very informative guide. The waterfalls were amazing but very rushed and the food wasn’t good. Dry chicken. Pelican bar was okay but as 2 women on our own did feel bit intimated and didn’t like the boat trip over. Yvonne our guide for the whole day was excellent and very knowledgeable. Felt that the coach driver at times was driving unsafe. On several occasions nearly hit on coming traffic head on.

Our guide Cleveland was exceptional. Wonderful man and extremely knowledgeable. Tour was great except for Pelican bar. It’s an add on and not really in keeping with the rest of the trip. Also, it is probably not appropriate for children. Copious amount of weed being sold and consumed there.

Appleton Rum was so informative and the whole experience was great, The staff were so friendly and informative. YS Falls was beautiful. Quite scary waling across the falls but so worth it! The Pelican Bar was completely 'wacky!' Definitely worth seeing. The downside to this tour was the length. Its a very early start and late finish. The roads are not for the feint hearted but the driver was Uber skilled at driving on them.

Sis and Keith (driver) are both really great. Plenty of information and pointing out items of interest. Appleton was fab, we tried going 6 years ago but due to refurbishment could not go. This time enjoyed the making process plus the shop. YS falls is really nice that all the locals and families attend at the same time. The pelican bar was nice but a little small. Was nice to get breakfast patty as just though would get lunch.

Mooie uitstap, maar houdt er wel rekening mee dat je toch een volle dag onderweg bent. Het bezoek aan de rum distilleerder, mooie expositie. Bezoek aan de watervallen van YS drukte de warmte van de dag. Maar een vol uur op 'the Pelican bar' vond ik eigenlijk te lang. Dat maakte dat we tegen té hoge snelheid terug werden gebracht naar ons hotel. Begeleiding was goed en je leert wel wat aparte weetjes over het dagelijkse leven op het eiland. Uitstap wel niet geschikt met kleine kinderen en baby's.

Overall a very good, but long day. YS Falls are a great experience, but you don't get much time to enjoy yourself before getting back on the bus. Appleton Rum was also very good, though a little rushed. A great experience and learnt a lot about Rum. Pelican Bar was a unique experience, but drinks are expensive. Our guide Danika, was very informative and very good at her job, we had a good laugh with her. The only real downside is the small and cramped bus driven at breakneck speed.

Generally the experience was very good and we have been to Appleton & Pelican Bar previously 5 years ago but not YS Falls. So generally we knew what to expect. What has changed is that you now need to complete a waiver in addition to the Tui waiver after you leave the hotel. This is done on a coach bumping all over the place on an unknown Wifi connection that was not working properly. It probably took an hour of retrying and ended up using the guided device and wasn’t complete when we arrived.

Really enjoyed Appleton and the YS falls but not so much Pelican bar, found it very crowded and expensive for drinks also was told to be ready to be picked up at 5 they finally got us at 5.30 which then made it an even longer day. I would also recommend on very long trips like these a bit more of a comfortable bus.

First of all I must say the guide and driver were first class, very knowledgeable and I would say very passionate about her country. All locations were fantastic and again the guides we had at each were always willing to help and answer any questions we had The only downside, which is the fault of no one is the roads, my god they are awful so when you spend about 4 hours travelling on them it's no fun, unfortunately it did put us off doing any other trips.

It was a ********** of a bus trip. The itinerary should state the realistic time including travel to and from the place. The Appleton Estate visit was interesting and the tasting at the end very insightful. The YS falls were good to see and dip the toes in but not enough time over there and the Pelican bar was just a waste of money and time.

The tour was superb, the guide explained a huge amount of history and knowledge of Jamaica while we drove to the 1st stop at Appleton. Appleton was brilliant, informative and fun with the rum. I would have liked more time at YS it was a big area to explore in 2 hours including time for lunch. A little more time to make use of the pools and falls. Pelican bar was brilliant, if initially a little overwhelming with all the sellers, but a great overall day

The rum tour was very good and a perfect length. The falls were excellent, and the time spent there is a good length. The pelican bar stop is in a nice setting, but it is pitched in some places as a 'swim up bar' suggesting bar service in the water, which isn't possible. The offer at the pelican shack is poor - service is available from one person who served me two small 'rum punches' without much rum and didn't give me change from $20. The rum tasting was brilliant, great tour and rum tasting. Due to too much rain we could not go in the YSFalls but lunch there was great. The pelican bar was interesting but not really a bar like it is advised. I would advise all people viewing this experience that it is a very long day travelling on very bumpy roads but the rum tasting was so good. And all guides and driver were amazing.

Very poor service from TUI , online and in resort. Only 5 mins notice trip was cancelled 1st time. New date offered so tried again and again cancelled but notified evening before. New date offered but last day of holiday so could not rely on that and had to find another £300 to pay with alternative operator. Als erstes ein herzliches Dankeschön an Maja unsere Guide. Sie ist ein sehr herzlicher Mensch, die mit viel Authentizität und Freude euch Jamaika und ihre Einwohner näher bringt und euch gute Tipps geben kann und immer beratend zur Seite steht. Die Tour ist zwar zeitlich sehr durchgetaktet aber das war ausreichend. Schade dass die Rumfabrik übernommen wurde, wenig Rumauswahl zum verkosten. Insgesamt ein schöner Ausflug.

Netter Ausflug. Leider auch bei uns nicht unter deutsch sprachiger Reiseleitung möglich, also haben wir die englische Tour mitgemacht. In der Beschreibung stand, dass die Reisegruppe nicht größer als 8 Personen gehalten wird, was leider nicht gestimmt hat. Alleine unser Bus war schon mit 16 Personen voll und wir fuhren mit zwei Bussen. Appleton Estate war super und sehr informativ! Absolut sehenswert. YS Falls sehr schön, leider zu voll. The Rum Tour and YS Falls were excellent. The Pelican Bar was a different experience but in my opinion I wouldn't have been bothered if it wasn't included. This would have shortened the duration of the trip, it stated on our booking ticket that it was an 8 hour trip, but instead it was a 12 hour trip.

Pick up time early so we could have breakfast patties on route. Would have been better to pick up later have breakfast at our hotel. The actual time spent on the mini bus on the way out was over 3 hours! It was extremely uncomfortable as it was a very small vehicle with extremely narrow seats. Rum tour was very good. Not enough time allowed at the YS falls. Pelican bar was just a waste of time. Very expensive drinks. We were out for 12 hours which wasn’t mentioned at time of booking.

Die Tour selbst war sehr schön. Wir hatten sie deutsch gebucht aber englisch bekommen. Das ist für so eine lange Tour sehr schade und absolut kein guter Service von tui. Die Reiseleitung, leider weiß ich ihren Namen nicht, war sehr unnahbar und wir fühlten uns nicht gut betreut. Das Programm wurde gut durchgezogen aber nette Verbindung zum Guide leider Fehlanzeige. Die Pelikan Bar ein absolutes Highlight. Der Fahrer ist gerast wie nichts gutes, ich fühlte mich sehr unsicher.

Maya Forbes (Begleitung) wusste viele interessante Dinge zu erzählen; sie war die perfekte Begleitung! ABER: Der Busfahrer fuhr wie von Sinnen. Viel zu schnell, und er fuhr er dem Vorderen bei 80 km/h auf einen Meter auf um (kein Witz!!!).

Pick up from our hotel was early and it’s a long time driving, but you get to see a lot of the island. Appleton tour was really good and informative with a free cocktail on arrival and rum tasting. From there drive again to YS falls where we had lunch and was told only a hour here which I felt wasn’t long enough. Then onto the pelican bar which personally wasn’t great. Drink a bit pricey and again only a hour there. Would’ve preferred just the rum & falls

I already had an idea, as to what the Appleton Rum tour would be like. The tour did meet expectations. The YS Falls trip was a little bit of a disappointment, having done the Dunn's River Falls on a previous visit to Jamaica. Pelican bar was really good, just a pity we only had a short stay due to capacity.

We were not sure whether we were going on this trip or not as we were lead to believe that there was a minimum no needed. Contact through the app worked but we were never told still whether it was departing or not, was even sent a survey on how you had performed. We went to the reception at the required time and yes the trip did go ahead with even less people than the minimum no required. Great long day out, hats off to our driver Francis, driving through the sheeting rain!

It was a very long but also enjoyable day. We felt the trip encompassed a lot of what Jamaica had to offer. The Rum estate was interesting, YS falls were beautiful and the Pelican Bar was so unique! We felt the time allocated for each attraction was enough, but can see how it wouldn’t be if it was busy at each one. Lots of driving and sitting in a coach which wasn’t the most fun, but that’s part and parcel of a trip like this!

The description said 8hrs but we were gone for 13 which isn’t an issue but would have liked info before hand. Especially because we didn’t really stop for breakfast we ate in the bus while on the go

Perfect day! Starting with true jamaican style breakfast, Then onto the Rum factory which was amazing the staff here are brilliant so informative and fun when they are sharing the Appleton history can tell they enjoy there jobs here. Then stopped for lunch and ate it at the beautiful ys falls grounds. Ys falls was so fun make sure you go the very top and swing from the trees into the falls this was the highlight for me! Then finish perfectly in the beautiful Pelican Bar! Overall amazing day!

Over the years I have done many tours whilst being in Jamaica and this tour was by far the best. Our tour guide Kerene was amazing from start to finish, and her knowledge of the island and its history was on point. Definitely the best tour guide by far!!! The Appleton Estate informative and loved the complimentary Rum punch on arrival. I also learnt the difference between all of the runs. YS falls was Amazing and Floyd’s Pelican bar ended the tour nicely???? Definitely would recommend

Touristisch alles für Amerikaner ausgelegt. Also grösstenteils sitzen. Appleton war sehr süffig und interessant, ys wasserfälle sind kurzfristig ausgefallen, aufgrund von zu starken Regenfällen. Dafür gab es eine bootstour auf dem black river. War interessant aber nicht besonders. Pelican bar war sehenswert aber eher von weiten. Für reichlich Geld werden die namen ins Holz geritzt, ansonsten gibts nur zu laute Musik, Souvenirs, essen, trinken und gras zu kaufen

It was a great day overall. The journey was not so great 2 1/2 hours through long windy roads with loads of pot holes and sheer drops to get there and back didn’t feel safe. All of the attractions were amazing. How ever the LS falls were closed due to heavy rain the night before but we went to the crocodile at black river instead which was enjoyable.

Guide excellent very informative and friendly. All staff very helpful at every stop. Ys falls visit was cancelled due to heavy rain which was a shame but instead they replaced with crocodile safari which we enjoyed. Trip is quite expensive is the only down side but overall really fun experience and glad we went.

This was by far the best tour in Jamaica. YS falls was closed for some reason and we got taken to the black River safari as an alternative and it was fabulous. The rum tour was great.. but the pelican bar was mind-blowing. Absolutely unreal. Unfortunately the bus journey is awful. If you get travel sickness I do not recommend, a few people on the bus were really sick.

This is a really wonderful experience. It's a very long day, around 12 hours and there is alot of travelling time, the journey itself is quite uncomfortable due to the roads. However, the guide was very informative and told us about Jamaica's rich history and kept us constantly updated on our itinerary. YS falls are just beautiful and the Pelican Bar is crazy! Appleton was very good too. Definitely recommend this tour!

Negatief was dat we de avond van tevoren werden gebeld dat de excursie niet door ging en wij zelf hebben geregeld dat we met de Engelse tour mee mochten. Eenmaal daar bleek de YS dicht te zijn en daarom zijn we naar Black Water gebracht. Veel krokodillen gezien, dus het was alsnog een mooie dag. Al met al ben ik tevreden, met wel wat verbeterpunten voor organisatie van Tui!

1/2Stunde nach Abholung vom Hotel gab der Guide, der erst zustieg, bekannt, dass die Tour aufgrund der Witterung geändert wurde. Statt der Ys-Falls sei nun eine Bootsfahrt auf dem Black-River geplant. Genau das wollten wir nicht! Die Frage nach einem Ausstieg aus der Tour und Rückbringung in unser Hotel konnte sie nicht beantworten. Rum Factory war gut, das Mittagessen verzögerte sich da Missmanagement. Die P-Bar war okay! Insgesamt 13h statt 8h auf katastrophalen Straßen unterwegs, nie wieder!

Bus travel time was far longer than expected which removed some of the enjoyment from the day (spent 14 hours on trip, of which only about 4 hours was enjoying the attractions). YS Falls felt unsafe. Pelican Bar was unsuitable for children (drugs being openly smoked) and we felt compelled to buy photos and give tips for wood carver.

Being raining season I would have thought they would have cancelled part of the tour or replaced the element of it but we were still taken to YS falls even though we couldn’t experience them. The coach was too full and guide could not be heard on the speaker, could have given so much more of a talk on route to destinations but didn’t. Appleton rum was fun!. Duur, maar zoals alles op Jamaica wordt er voor elke toeristische activiteit geprofiteerd met zeer hoge toeristenprijzen. Deze excursie was wel een leuke en boeiende dag, maar hou wel rekening met een lange reistijd naar de bestemming vanuit Mo' Bay. Dit was de 2de excursie die we in het Nl boekte en weer eentje in het Eng gekregen omdat er te weinig aanvragen waren. Jammer, beter deze dan niet verkopen. I enjoyed the host during our journey . She was able to explain some of the cultural elements of the island. At the Appleton factory, I enjoyed the host explaining the history and stages processes of making the rum. I got to take part in turning the press for juicing the sugar cane which I enjoyed. I would have liked it if I was able to buy some molasses. This could be something to consider in the future.

Appleton Rum tour was fantastic. YS Falls were disappointing. Pelican Bar was brilliant experience. Only problem was that the tour doesn't state on the website that you don't get back until 9.30 at night, for some hotels. And you can miss your evening dinner. It should be clearly stated before booking, not just say the standard 8 hours.

Een fantastische tour, je zit wat van het landschap en 3 fantastische onderdelen. Rum tour geweldig, mooi estate, leuke gids, interactief en ben je geïnteresseerd in Rum een must do! Watervallen geweldig, ontspannend en verkoelend. Floyds Bar, typisch Jamaica, bestel een biertje of rumpunch, laat je vereeuwigen in de houten plank en geniet van het uitzicht en de muziek! De bus rit heen en terug, intensief, lang, maar wij vonden het leuk!

Het was een top ervaring bij de plantage en de watervallen. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de mensen bij beide locaties. De gids wist ongelofelijk veel te vertellen de gehele reis. Dat maakte het de moeite waard. De pelikan bar was niet ons ding. Krakkemikkig is de juiste omschrijving en je kon voor veel geld op een paar planken een biertje drinken en vette hap eten, ik zou het geen bar noemen. Het uitje duurde vanaf Ocho Rio zeker 14 uur dus breng snacks en drinken mee.

Excursie was geweldig. Appleton rum estate is een aanrader. Mooi opgezet, goede uitleg over het ontstaan van Rum. Natuurlijk zwembad was heerlijke afkoelen. Mooi opgezet en schoon. En de Pelican bar…ja die is uniek. Dat moet je gewoon ervaren. De wegen erna toe zijn afschuwelijk maar we hadden een goede chauffeur dus wel te doen. Reisleider gaf veel informatie en was service gericht. Kortom echt een aanrader als je wat van jamaica wilt zien.

The whole experience was brilliant. Having three ‘mini’ excursions in one trip is a great way to experience the different aspects of the island and get to understand the culture. The only downside was the distance to travel to and from the resort as it was quite a long day out. While the trip indicated it would be 4-8 hours, it was actually more like 10-11 hours when taking into account travel time. It was still well worth the trip and we would definitely recommend (especially for rum lovers!)

Mixed trip. Advertised as 8hrs was in actually13hrs. Appleton rum was 5/5 excellent tour & guide there was engaging. YS falls a lot of fun 4/5. Pelican bar 1/5. Arrived in torrential rain & thunderstorm, guests were uncomfortable with the open boat trip to the bar, but was no back up plan (this is rainy season) despite requests to leave we had to wait for rain to stop. Guide seemed out of depth. Spent 1hr in damp cold bar, food service slow & only ready on leaving. 3hr trip back was cold & wet.

Ein insgesamt sehr gelungener Ausflug - gerade auch wegen unserer Reiseleiterin Dorette von Caribbean World. Los ging es mit leckeren Patties als kleines Frühstück. Die Besichtigung der Rumfabrik war sehr informativ und die Rumverkostung sehr lecker. Eine glatte 10. Das Baden bei den YS Wasserfällen war wegen eines Tropenregens traumhaft abenteuerlich - ein absolutes „Muss-Event“. Der Abschluss auf der Pelican Bar war dann im Verhältnis zum Rest uninteressanter und in unseren Augen zu lang.

Nous avions réservé notre excursions bien à l avance en français car nous comprenons pas bien l anglais . Et la veille on nous apprend que l excursion est finalement en anglais vu que nous sommes les seules francophones . Sans aucune autre proposition ( changement de jour , ou excursion privé en français ). Donc nous avons compris la moitié de l excursions. Leuke excursie maar wel echt heel erg lang. Vooral de YS falls en Appleton zijn echt een aanrader. De Pelican bar had voor ons niet gehoeven. At the falls the guides went above and beyond. They had my phone and took lots of photos and videos while I was swimming around. Would highly recommend. Absolutely loved the places visited but felt not long enough at each attraction, the trip was meant to be around 8hrs if fact it took 13.5hrs , 10.5 of those on the coach . The guide was awful and didn’t seem organised at all we stopped at a supermarket , for diesel and at a pastie shop all totally not what we payed for Only had 45 mins at YS falls nowhere near enough only 40 mins at the pelican bar because it was so late when we got there and 1 hr at Appleton The trips need time evaluations and guides need training .

It was very interesting and we had a fantastic day. The patty stop was delish, appelton rum delish, and ys falls absolutely breathtaking, pelican bar is a must , shanay our guide was the best . If you do one trip mack it this one.

Trip advertised as being 8 hours. In fact was over 12 hours so very long day. Full coach of paying guests. We were unable to hear the guide as we were at the back. We repeatedly told her this but she did not change her delivery or position in the bus. Many of us felt the tour was too big for one guide. Driver hurtled across the island with one crash (fortunately at low speed) into a low bridge ??. Didn’t feel particularly safe. The places visited were fantastic with a great guide at the rum estate but visits were rushed and majority of the time was spent driving. Did feel that we were miss-sold this as length of travelling not made clear. Also was an expensive trip. Lunch rushed at YS Falls. Would have been lovely to spend longer there. Would recommend the trip but only with strong reservations and I hope you have a better guide and driver than we did!! Be careful booking if mobility problems.

The Appleton rum factory was a excellent experience which we thoroughly enjoyed. YS Falls again was a great experience which we thoroughly enjoyed, however we were only there 1.5 hours including having our lunch which made our experience rushed. The visit to the Pelican bar was really good which we enjoyed. The tour guide did her best, and our bus driver was excellent

Very long day, over 13hrs door to door. It was exhausting, and we only spent maybe 4.5hr of the 13hrs at the 3 locations, the rest was travelling.

Appleton estate was very enjoyable, informative and lovely to see one of Jamaicas most profitable exports. YS Falls was definitely difficult but a beautiful sight. The Pelican bar was good and an experience. Tour guide and driver both very friendly.

I thought the 3 places we visited were fantastic. What I did not like was the amount of travelling, when we booked the experience we was told that it would be 7 hours this turned into 13 1/2 hours and o have since found out that this is quite normal. As I have spoken to others who have been on this tour. Also what needs to be explained is the chance of travel sickness due to the twisted turns in the mountains. We had a few people being sick and feeling sick during the journey.

All areas of the trip were fantastic, just didn't anticipate how much travelling there would be (from Lucea - should have checked beforehand) and the time at Pelican Bar felt short (45 minutes) Guide and driver, and all the staff involved in the different areas were brilliant

Appleton Rum tour was fantastic. YS Falls beautiful to see and the Pelican Bar what more can I say sat in a bar in the middle of the Caribbean Sea.

We had dinner too early at 10-10.30 at YS Falls which left a long time without food and drinks (the only drinks were after pick up on yhe coach) The falls were amazing but definitely not suitable for unstable people.

Appleton tour very good. YS Falls beautiful, but absolutely packed. (Easter Saturday) but changing facilities & toilets dreadful. Pelican bar a quirky, but fun. We enjoyed 2 out of the three. But it’s too many to cram into one day. We set off at 7.15am for an 8 hour trip, as your information stated. But we didn’t arrive back at hotel until after 7.45pm. 12 hours with Wineasia, ‘THE NUMBEE ONE TOUR REP’ was more than enough! I’ve never been on a tour before where the rep tells you all about herself, her bodily functions nor been lectured on relationships. Marriage guidance according to Wineasia was not required. This may have been because there were three newly wed couples on the group, but telling us you had to allow men freedom to do what they liked to make sure they came back!!!! Earl the driver, labelled ‘THE NUMBER ONE DRIVER’ by Wineasia, looked embarrassed most of the day. Although his driving skills through the storm on the return journey were second to none.

Jerome was an amazing guide and contributed fully to a wonderful day. The experience of Appleton Rum tasting was very professional and very well organised. Unfortunately the YS Falls were closed due to stormy weather conditions the evening before so we were treated to a wonderful ‘crocodile’ boat ride where we learnt a lot about nature on the Black River and we saw several crocs. The tour finished with a boat ride to The Pelican Bar which was great. We met some lovely people and had a great time!

I've been to Appleton before and we tried more rums than the three on offer. This would be nice again. YS Falls was nice but the food was just okay, not very traditional jerk....I know as I am jamaican heritage. Pelican Bar was a great experience.

The trip is excellent, it is however a very long day (12hrs round trip) and only advertised as 8hrs online. The bus that you travel on is quite small and you're squashed in which is uncomfortable because its around 2.5hrs before you arrive at your first stop. Our driver Earl was fantastic, and tour guide "Dorrito" was excellent!

1- The mobile offer of 10% wasn't available for a booking with TUI rep at the hotel which wasn't helpful as we wanted to book more excursion but it made it difficult as it meant lots of different bookings 2- The pick up was late 3- The tour guide was helpful and informative but some of the information was not relevant- There were some odd behaviours at times (demonstrating anger because his drink order was missed, and has clearly under the influence on return journey). 4- All in all the we were out for almost 12 hours (from pick up till return) with only about 3.5 to 4 hours spent on actual sightseeing itself. If this was communicated we might have had a different view of either booking the excursion or what to expect from the day. 5- Despite the comments above, we really enjoyed our visit to YS Falls and Appleton as they are beautiful places.

Fantastic local guide very knowledgeable and pointed out lots of things and interesting facts along the way, the tour of the rum factory was fabulous teal eye opener. Ys falls was fantastic not as hyped up as dunns so not as busy able to spend time enjoying rather than queuing. And last but certainly not last pelican bar my husband even got a photo with floyd really enjoyed the whole day was certainly longer than 8hrs such value for money great day all round.

A bit of confusion at the start (hotel pickup 25 mins late) but day was great. Trip reservation suggested 8 hour/full day trip - it was actually >14 hours with more travel time than expected. Worth it for a once in a lifetime Jamaican experience

We enjoyed the whole trip, especially swimming at YS Falls - which are incredible - but felt the timing was wrong and could have been better used. For example, we would have enjoyed more time at Appleton Rum and YS Falls and less time at the Pelican Bar. The drinks at Pelican, we thought, we’re overpriced and there wasn’t much to do for an hour. We would have enjoyed more than an hour at YS Falls so we could have swim in more pools

Loved the Appleton rum estate, YS falls and the guide was very knowledgeable It was extremely disappointing to end the day at Pelican Bat it was a rip off, pelican bar was an extortionate price for a drink $10 for a watered down cocktail (if you can call it that didn’t taste of anything and definitely no alcohol in it).

Alex was a fantastic guide all day, he gave us loads of information about Jamaica & was really funny too! Barrington was an excellent driver on the very interesting roads in the mountains and did a great job of safely taking us to each destination
