Te veel vrije tijd op niet interessante stops. Een dik uur pauze om te zwemmen en daarna in een dorpje haf uur Verder dik uur lunchpauze. Lunch exclusief. Deze reis is ook te boeken voor de helft van de prijs via de reisleiding van sunweb en corendon.

Fijn reisleider. Veel info. Maar we misten de beschrijving van de wandeling. ( locatie) dus hadden we de dag ervoor zelf al die wandeling gemaakt, met t OV erheen. Dus was dubbel. ( cubo de la Galga) dat is misschien handig om bij de excursie te benoemen. Het zwemmen in het zeezwembad was heerlijk !!

Most of the excursion was spent sitting in the coach with very little time out and about. The lunch stop was in a small (but beautiful and quaint) village with nothing to do. The tour guide, Rudi, once again appeared knowledgeable but if you check some of his facts, you will wonder where he sourced his information from. His anti British humour was not appreciated especially when he claimed that Horatio Nelson was a pirate!

We enjoyed the natural sea pool . We weren’t told the rainforest was all up hill . So we had lunch and then went straight to the rainforest. Lots of people couldn’t manage it .

A long time was spent on the coach, but did get to see the beautiful scenery. Tour guide was great at adjusting itinerary where needed due to weather. The lunch stop was very restricted with only 1 restaurant open so very limited and fairly expensive, the stop should have been somewhere people had more options to chose from. Also pictures of rainforest implied there was a waterfall, but there wasn't, and felt an hour was too long there.

You sent us a warning message at 830 about the weather. You should never have let the tour go ahead in those weather conditions. The guide was excellent but we couldn't see most of the places for to the weather, which you already knew about but still charged us .

The group was too large. Do it in English, then repeat all again in German. Only good thing for the English, generally English first. Didn't enjoy anti British Humour. Some interesting bits about history, Island, Bananas and Rum. The Rain Forest - a long walk up a gorge in a forest! No facilities. The interesting Viewing point wasn't particularly interesting. Too early in the year to see the Rum machines working. Stop for lunch in a pretty village. Limited choice and lunch took all the time.

Lots of steps to pool area needs to be made clear some on our tour could not manage 91 steps. Would have been nice to have more time to explore san Andrea's. Great guide and driver. As bus drove past our hotel it would have been nice to avoid walking g from h10.

As a family of five, this tour was a significant expense and extremely disappointing. The “banana plantation” was a talk on the roadside, the sea pool had no lifeguard or guidance, and the café was closed despite being advertised. Our bus left without us. Lunch was poorly organised, took nearly an hour, cost £85, and left no time to see the village. Given it was a Bank Holiday, we should have been warned. The €190 tour was not worth it. The guide was knowledgable and the driver safe.

Insgesamt eine sehr schöne und interessante Tour. Man sieht viel von der Insel an diesem Tag. Rudi als Reiseexperte hat wirklich viel auf Deutsch und auf Englisch erzählt. In der Rumdestillerie wurde leider fast nichts über die Manufaktur erzählt, es ging nach wenigen Minuten schon zur Verkostung. Ansonsten eine rundum gelungene und abwechslungsreiche Tour!

Es war grundsätzlich ein schöner Ausflug. Leider war der Aufenthalt bei den Naturswimmingpools ( 1.25 h) zu lange. Baden war zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht erlaubt, auch zu der Jahreszeit nicht unbedingt ein tolles Erlebnis. Da sollte TUI flexibler sein. Der Lorbeerwald durfte nicht betreten werden. Durch den Sturm waren Bäume umgekippt. Bisschen schade, aber bei Naturgewalten kann man nichts machen.

There was nothing we disliked what so ever!!!! We meaning my Husband and I. We enjoyed the brilliant commentary which was so explicit and the Guide spoke in English and German in turn so both nationalities were catered for. The Driver Victor seemed so helpful as I am disabled and used a wheelchair moist of the time with the Guide on several occasions offering to push me and I did accept on some of them. The coach was such a comfortable ride and we both felt safe in Victor's hands!!

We were not advised before departure that the enchanted forest walk was cancelled due to the area being closed. As we approached the guide announced that we would have an hour free time to explore but not enough time to do the walk, as we arrived he informed us that the area was closed and we would stop off at a view point on the way back but basically that was it for the day. 8 hours wasted on 2 ten minute stops at view points, 30 minutes in the distillery and a short 15 minute coast walk!

The tour guide was excellent. Very interesting talks. We were disappointed that the walk in the forest had to be cancelled (due to the storm) but the guide came up with an idea to do something else instead. However, it was the part of the excursion we were most looking forward to. Perhaps you could have found out that the hiking path was closed in advance so we could have had a choice as to whether we still wanted to go.

The Enchanted Forest visit did not go ahead and was the main thing we were looking forward to. The excursion felt like terrible value for money as it effectively just felt like a trip to a rum factory (I had let the TUI rep already know that I don't drink). The Charco Azul pool also had loud construction happening nearby and most of the tour group did not feel like swimming. Our guide was useful on the bus but he felt very absent outside. I would have asked for a refund if it was possible.

Unfortunately we had to swap coaches 3 times due to breakdowns and then broken sound system. The staff performed a miracle keeping the trip roughly to plan despite the issues they faced. It was impressive that the company could provide alternative coaches at a moments notice! The swim stop required more time than 1 hour. Otherwise the tour guide was very informative and again impressive how he managed both German and English.

Es war ein schöner Ausflug in den Nordosten der Insel. Unser Guide Rudi sprach sowohl Englisch als auch Deutsch, und konnte uns einiges über das Inselleben, Flora und Fauna, den Bananenanbau und die Rumherstellung erzählen. Highlight für mich war der einstündige Spaziergang im Cubo de la Galga. Wer im Süden wohnt, muss sich auf eine längere - ca. einstündige - Fahrt bis zum Beginn des Ausflugs vorbereiten.

Ik had graag meer tijd gehad bij de rum proeverij. Los daarvan liepen we vertraging op door een versperring bij de eerste stop. Hierdoor hadden we maar 40 minuten de tijd bij het zwembad van Chargo Azul. Dat was echt te weinig. Verder lulde de gids wel erg veel uit zijn nek. Met name over het noorden van La Palma.

Leuk was dat de bus mooi op tijd was om ons op te Halen. Dat is wel eens anders. De gids sprak duidelijk verstaanbaar en legde goed uit wat wij gingen zien. En wij hebben mooie dingen gezien. Vooral de kust en de landschappen. De rumfabriek was minder, maar commercie hoort er nu eenmaal bij. De lunch was voortreffelijk op een prachtige locatie. De wandeling door het laurierbos was ook mooi.

The saltwater swimming pools were closed and there was no plan B Rum distillery buying exercise We imagined the banana plantation to be at a farm. We stood on the pavement and the guide showed us a banana plant and explained the growing cycle. Informative but a bit dull. The highlight was the rainforest but the walk was uphill and we were left to our devices. There were free pamphlets explaining the walk which could have helped. We only saw them in the information office at the end of the walk.

Mit Rudi hatten wir einen super Guide. Kann aus eigener Erfahrung berichten, kennt sich aus und hat viel zu erzählen. Badeerlebnis: zu wenig Zeit um das genießen zu können und es war zu kalt. Spaziergang durch Regenwald hätte stattdessen verlängert werden können. War sehr schön.

We loved this trip! Although we maybe should have done the rain forest before the rum tasting. Rudy was our guide and he was very informative. The viewpoint at Puntallana was breathtaking. We were hoping to dip our toes in the sea at Charco Azul but the weather was too wet and windy. We purposely went for the rum distillery and it didn’t disappoint. A proper old fashioned distillery with some free tasting and some you had to pay for but well worth the trip. Rain forest was beautiful and wet.

A verly interesting part of the island. We enjoyed the scenery and the opportunity to walk in the rain forest. The weather wasn't great but we didn't miss anything because of it. Lunch wasted a lot of time. Service was very slow indeed. Food was just OK. The guide speaks confidently but some of his facts are not correct and he is very unreceptive to feedback or alternative views. We missed part of the rum distillery tour because the guide decided to leave the rendezvous point 5 minutes early.

Whilst we appreciate that you’re catering for a relatively diverse group of people each time, we would have rather had more time at the rock pool and rum tasting, with this being accomplished by reducing the time at the banana plantation. We also felt that the level of incline on the walk should have been advertised more clearly as I have a heart condition that means I struggle with those situations and had to turn back after a few minutes. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative.

Although the trip was ok it felt as though some of the places were opportunities to sell food and goods. The lower scoring on the whole was because last year we did the excellent Roque de los Muchachos trip that really was exceptional and led by a really knowledgeable and enthusiastic Belgian tour guide.

Sehr guter Reiseleiter und Busfahrer. In Bezug auf den Lorbeerwald sollte darauf hingewiesen werden, dass es mindestens 1,5 km nur Bergauf geht und was es am Ziel zu sehen gibt. Insgesamt ist die Tour sehr empfehlenswert!

Would be quite nice to have another option for lunch. Had a big hair in my food, told the waiter and all he said was ‘it’s red’ and I said ‘I’m blonde!’ But he didn’t want to do anything about it. Had no choice but to eat the food as needed to leave for the next part of the trip.

Most enjoyable but would have perhaps liked a fuller agenda. The visit to the sea pool, where the majority did not swim and the lunch break added up to a total of around two and three quarter hours. The only activity within this was an enjoyable half hour visit to the rum distillery. There seemed to be a lot of down time in the programme.

Good day overall. Not long enough at the Charco Azul and too long standing listening about bananas. Left us with not enough time to change and swim. We needed to use the toilets as well. Too long at the laurel wood as well - 30 to 40 minutes would be enough as no views and no chance for a drink instead. Excellent lunch stop

We took 2 tours on our trip. NE with Charco Azul with Rudi as our guide and Roque de Muchachos with Kun as our guide. We were probably a little spoiled having Kun as our guide as he was so incredibly informative and knowledgeable with a very pleasant manner. That trip is also the more spectacular. Rudi was fine and also gave some interesting information but jokes were a bit outdated and mildly sexist. Still worth the trip, sadly red flag at Charco Azul due to sea conditions.

Service was erg goed. We werden opgehaald bij een hotel en werden meegenomen het eiland over. Je bezoekt oa een distilleerderij. Bezoek daar was wel kort. Je gaat naar een natuurzwembad, deze viel een beetje tegen. De bananenplantage was interessant, de gids wist er veel van. Vervolgens hadden we te veel tijd voor de lunch. Er was een restaurant voor ons geboekt. We voelde ons een beetje verplicht om iets te kopen. Dus een redelijke tour.

Goede gids, die veel info gaf over La Palma. De tijd om te zwemmen was erg kort, had langer gemogen. Door de zware mist zijn we niet naar het uitzichtpunt gegaan. Dit, samen met het zwemmen in Azul, zijn juist het hoofddoel van de excursie. De wandeling in het moerasbos was mooi. Er was een lunch ingepland (niet inbegrepen),deze had van mij niet gehoeven.

Helaas hadden we slecht weer. Regen en lage bewolking. Uitkijkpunt hebben we niet bezocht want je zag niks. Bezoek aan natuurbaden was erg leuk. We hoorden dat ook dat 10 minuten na ons bezoek gesloten werd door te ruwe zee. Rumproeverij was leuk. De prijzen daar waren best laag als je na het proeven iets wilde kopen. Tocht door regenwoud kun je zelf bepalen hoe lang je wil lopen. Erg steil naar boven maar door de regen best glad. Maar ik weet zeker dat je bij mooi weer een hele mooie tocht hebt

The tour was good but think the order of locations needs to be changed as the rainforest is done earlier in the day and charcol azul later. The restaurant in San Andres was lovely but feel the other aspects of the tour were cut short because of that. The rainforest tour and the rum tasting could have had slightly longer.

Het was leuk wij hebben ook de excursie van zondag gedaan in deze zit veel meer rust in en heb je tijd om dingen te doen echter zou ik de middag wandeling in de ochtend te eerste minder warm en na rum proeverij en goede lunch wordt het wandelen ook wat lastiger wat is het fijn om na deze wandeling een verkoeling te nemen in het mooie natuurlijke bad voor de route maakt dit uit omdat we het startpunt van de wandeling op de heen weg hebben gepasseerd

Loved the tour - it had everything: a beautiful viewpoint, details of banana growing, swim in a great sea-pool, very nice rum distillery tour&tasting, lunch in a traditional restaurant (cost not included), and a super hike in a rainforest - plus an explanation of all the flora and fauna of the island. The guide Rudi had deep knowledge, was kind and caring, he never rushed us. A wonderful day out, to repeat when I return. Note: not suitable for people with mobility issues, the island is hilly.

Eten was wat raar geregeld, er was een restaurant uitgekozen maar daar was niet genoeg plek voor alle mensen uit de bus. Vervolgens is daar in dat dorpje verder niets anders waar je heen kunt. Bij het natuurlijke zwembad juist weinig tijd en daar was het restaurant dicht.

Rudi, guide very knowledgeable. Visit view point then to the ‘banana plantation’ (you do just stay on the side of road looking in banana field so this is misleading but interesting) Then we were to go to the sea pool but it was closed for a fashion shoot so this was a let down, not guide’s fault but TUI could communicate better with pool for this in future. Rum distillery was good, not pushy. Lunch at St Andres which is pretty then walk in forest. Waterfall closed - need to communicate better.

I was expecting to seea banana plantation not stand on road while guide stood under a tree and toldus how they grow. Gthidwas disappointing then to be told walk down the hill if you want to swim it is down there the rum tasting a further down so walk there for allotted time . I booked trip to see a pretty village which consisted of 1square by restaurant which was lunch stop. Rainforest walk was told was easy climb it might be for an athlete should have warned how steep it was. Disappoinyed

The spot for lunch was lovely, in a quiet square next to a whitewashed church, overlooking the ocean. Overall we had a good time, but it would have been nice to have longer at the bathing pool and in the rainforest, and maybe a shorter lunch. In the end we only had 50 minutes in the rainforest, which wasn't long enough to walk to the end of the trail.

Most of the trip was fine but the walk into the rainforest it was not a rainforest sold to us as an easy gentle walk that anyone could do the start of walk was very steep and continued on an upwards gradient many older people could not do it and I have had a heart operation and could not do it really feel it was mis-sold to me

Coach service and driver good, picked up on time and the guide ( Rudi) was very informative. The tour was as per itinerary and we where returned to out hotel at the allotted time. Perhaps consider including lunch in an amended price to make the tour more of a package and we would have liked a little longer at the sea bathing pools?

Im großen und ganzen hat mir die Tour gefallen. Der Norden ist wunderschön man hätte statt Regenwald vielleicht etwas mehr Zeit z.b. in kleinen Orten verbringen können. Was ich allerdings auf allen Ausflügen sehr bedauert habe, alles wurde nur auf englisch erklärt, als würde jeder englisch sprechen! Heute gibt es viele .Örtlichkeiten der Übersetzungen.

I found the whole holiday perfect from start to finish apart from being redirected to another airport, the crew kept us fully informed throughout. I was very dubious about booking another holiday with TUI after having an horrendous holiday the year before on a TUI cruise, this holiday has redeemed TUI for me.

I enjoyed the trips around the island, the weather, the all inclusive deal. I stayed at a similar hotel in Tenerife and the main meal times were staggered so that there were no big queues. On this holiday, everybody seemed to arrive for dinner at 7pm, which caused chaos and a few unpleasant incidents.

Der Ausflug war eigentlich nur Lückenbüßer für eine andere, ausgefallene Tour und hat mich dann angenehm überrascht. Sie war abwechslungsreich und man hat viel über die Insel erfahren. Absoluter Höhepunkt war für mich der Abstecher zum Wasserfall, der uns durch ein Stück des mediterranen Regenwalds Los Tilos führte. Auch die von TUI so hervorgehobene Rumverkostung (genauer: die Führung durch die Destillerie) war interessant, ich habe sie nicht als Verkaufsveranstaltung empfunden.

Rudi the guide is very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything in both English and German in equal length. The downside was my friend has walking difficulties and as a full size coach was used we were sometimes a little further from where we needed to be so it was a problem for her.

The guide was v interesting and informative with interesting unusual facts thrown in. Good balance of time on and off the coach with nothing too arduous and interesting mix of places visited. Nothing to dislike. Good restaurant recommended by guide. Not keen on using QR codes though, prefer an actual menu to look at!

Besuch einer Bananenplantage hat so nicht stattgefunden! Sollte anders beschrieben werden. Die Ausführungen vom Guide waren relativ interessant, fanden aber auf der Straße am Rande einer Plantage statt.

Overall I would recommend it but it was not as good as the other trip we did to the telescopes etc. Same excellent guide, lovely coach and driver. Lunch was fine if not rushed to the point of slow. The offer of a swim in the pools was tempting but too rough - did not look appealing. The explanation about the banana plantation was fascinating. The rum distillery visit was better than most and not too pushy. All in all worth doing and slower paced than the telescopes tour that it complements

Great trip. Very knowledgable guide (Rudi).The highlight being the swim in Charco Azul (we'd have liked more time here 45 mins flew) & Los Tilos Waterfall. Only downside was the 1.5 hr stop for lunch in a tiny village only 1 restaurant, and not a lot else to see if you werent eating. Would have made more sense to do a lunch stop in a bigger town with more eating options & things to see if you weren't hungry. A whole day out of the hotel and lovely sites of NE La Palma.

My husband and I are in our 70/80’s and very active. We feel very strongly that a warning should have been given about the walk to the waterfall. No mention was made as to how hazardous it was underfoot. We would not have undertaken the walk if we’d known beforehand. Apart from the above a most enjoyable trip.

Die Rumverkostung war eine ungemütliche Verkaufsveranstaltung. Das Essen in dem ausgewählten Restaurant war super, sehr zu empfehlen. Leider sieht man von dem Ort nicht viel, da man ja im Restaurant sitzt. Los Tilos ist zauberhaft.

Der Ausflug ist vielfältig, die Informationen zur Insel allgemein und im Speziellen zu den Stationen höchst interessant. Nicht zu anstrengend, kurzweilig, leckere Einkehr ( auf eigene Rechnung, sehr lohnend. Perfekt organisiert! Danke!

Vriendelijke gids, veel uitleg gekregen over de verschillende bezienswaardigheden en aspecten van La Palma. Mooie uitzichtpunten en plaatsen bezocht, rumproeverij was erg goed. Goede combinatie tussen actief en sightseeing/in de bus zitten

Outstanding trip, comfortable coach, lots of interesting stops. Really good tour guide and driver. Wonderful lunch stop in a courtyard restaurant which served a very good range of lunches. Beautiful scenery, banana plantations, swim in a natural pool and rum tasting. We thoroughly enjoyed it all.

It felt like you had to make a choice between rum tasting and natural pools. The showers also didn't work at the pools and this should have been made clear before going into water. A further rainforest walk would have been better than the visitors centre. The restaurant struggled to cope with all persons at the lunch stop. Some weren't served for almost an hour and food was poor. A better option would be a stop with more lunch options people can choose themselves.

Betere communicatie op voorhand wat er nu precies wel en niet in de activiteit vervat zit. Bvb duurtijd van de pauze aan Charco Azul; of het feit dat er aan een visrestaurant gestopt wordt.
