Importante: debido a la necesidad de ponerse guantes gruesos a prueba de abejas, no es posible llevar teléfonos móviles a las inmediaciones de las colmenas a menos que se disponga de un paloselfi con botón para disparar. Por tanto, si quieres hacer fotos, debes llevar una cámara.
Los visitantes deben llevar calzado cerrado, cómodo y con calcetines.
En caso de que un visitante tenga alergia confirmada a las picaduras de abeja, no debe participar
Para participar, es necesario llevar el traje y los guantes que se proporcionen.
No se recomienda llevar perfume.
Edad mínima para participar 10 años. Los niños tienen que ir acompañados por un adulto en todo momento.

Great
Nice excursion, for our feeling little too much sales than real looking at the bees. Waited a lot and walked a lot to the bee hives just to spend maybe 10 minutes with the actual bees.

It was a rare opportunity to get up close and experience the life of a bee keeper. We wore good quality suits and were able to take part in all aspects of maintaining the hive. We learnt how the colony works and held the hive trays. Later we learned how to extract honey and visited the museum to see how honey was collected through the ages. We even got to make and taste melekouni a traditional honey, sesame and almond bar. Learnt alot and really loved the whole experience.

Everything was wonderful. From the Tui Rep Ryan Chapman to the actual excursion. The guide was so informative and the staff at the Bee Museum were so charming. Being able to handle the hive, getting so up close with the bees was wonderful :-) The honey tasting, the sweet treats demonstration on how to prepare and then to eat them, still warm. Really the best way to enjoy them. Overall really really super excursion, very educational and enjoyable.

From Start to finish was really really interesting. The rep ,the staff , the bees! Favourite was putting on bee outfit and actually holding the honey comb with the bees still on it. The birds eye view of how they work and fill the chambers up was really fantastic. We got to see how they make their favourite biscuit and had a chance to help mix ingredients too! Museum great. Whole experience was brilliant.

Deze uitstap is een enorme aanrader! Veel uitleg gekregen over het leven van de bijen en de geschiedenis hierrond op het eiland. Het hoogtepunt voor mij was om zelf in een pak te kruipen en naar de bijen te gaan! De imker, Yannis, had veel geduld en legde alles goed uit, bedankt hiervoor! Ook nog bedankt aan Maria en de andere dame (sorry, ik ben je naam vergeten) voor de uitleg en de begeleiding!
