Zakynthos is a fantastic island, steeped in history and culture, capable of offering many products and crafts, from olives and oil to honey and sweets, wines, laces, rugs and pottery.
You will begin your day at Bochali, after all the guests will have been picked up from their resorts. Here you will be able to take in great views overlooking Zakynthos town. On the way to the mountains, you will then visit an olive factory to discover how the famous Zakynthian olive oil is produced in the winter. Continuing northwest, passing the mountain village of Kiliomeno and onwards, through Agios Leon and Anafonitria, you will visit the famous monastery of Agios Dionysios, the patron of the Island, well- known for his healing powers, forgiveness and compassion. The tour will continue to Exo Xora, where the oldest olive tree on the island - more than 2000 years old - is believed to be. You will also have the opportunity to sample and purchase various local products, before heading to the village of Kampi for a lunch stop with spectacular views over the cliffs and the amazing colours of the sea. Your final stop will be at a local winery, where you will be taken to see how one of the most popular wines of the island is produced. Of course you will be able to taste the wines and purchase them too.
Depending on your resort's location, you should be back around 5pm.
