Great guide, interesting sites. Butrint felt rushed, and it would be nice to have bit longer there, and go at a slower place but it was great. We'd love to go back. It would be helpful to have someone at the port to show you where to go, as that was a bit vague, and also so info before you travel re a single parent travelling alone with a child - there are lots of signs saying you need signed documents but no-one asked. Sarande was lovely - lunch was ok. Would be nice if water were included

Very little time spent at the interesting sites 15 minutes at 1 then just over an hour at another plus only 45 minutes at the last one. Most of the time spent on the coach and boat also meal at generic hotel instead of authentic restaurant. Guide seemed to rush us through everything on time to appreciate the history. Also not suitable for people with walk/ mobility issues

Trip to Albania was good value for money Would have liked more free time in the port town of Sarander. 30 minutes wasn’t enough for even a short look around. Trip to Butrint was very good but rough underfoot and not the best for those with walking difficulties. Although we were fine there were a few older and less able people on the trip who found it tough especially with the high temperatures

A little confusion with the driver picking us up. He didn’t have a list of names of the people he was picking up. Corfu Port is a bit shambolic but seems to work. Guide in Albania very good. Could have done with more time at Butrint but a lot is covered in a day. I would recommend this trip.

The ruins were very interesting, but spent a long time getting there due to their poor road system. We had good service at the small cafe, but absolutely no free time, as promised, to look around the town. If it had not been for the little market stalls on the port front, we would not have been able to get anything or any souvenirs at all. We had just 20 minutes before having to board the boat. Such a shame, as we were unable to enjoy or taste or experience any of their local culture.

Excellent trip, very well organised. Only issue I had was confirming the collection from the hotel. When I reached out to Tui I was told to check my ticket! The problem was the time was the same for all hotels so I didn’t believe it. It turned out to be more or less accurate. The excursion itself was fantastic.

Albania is a beautiful country and it felt like a privilege to be able to pop over for the day from Corfu and see some of it. This trip is brilliant, physically quite demanding, but absolutely worth the money. The guide was really knowledgeable and friendly, the driver was incredible. The best thing we did was go to the top of the castle, the views from there are amazing.

Very long journey to get to the port via many hotels. No information about the day, no guide until Albania. At port no clear instructions about where to find boat. Boat very basic. Lots of queuing and delays throughout the day. Guide in Albania was ok

Great trip - I would recommend, however, that TUI improve co-ordination between staff for guiding customers through passport control and onto the correct ferries. We were told to go on the red boat - but there were 2 red boats, both operated by the same company!

Trip description stated 8 hrs. We were gone over 13. We spent a total of 6hrs in Albania, the rest of the trip was spent travelling. (3hrs on the coach on the way back) Albania was great, however the trip description was misleading, travel was too long. I am quite disappointed in how this was organised. Pretty poor. What a shame as the tour was very good.

Overall this was a good day trip. The visit to Butrint was a highlight, as was the amazing view from the old castle high up in Sarande. The lunch was also very nice and the guide extremely knowledgeable. The journey to Albania was on a comfortable, high speed Hydrofoil, taking 40 minutes. However the return journey was dreadful. We were put on a very old, very slow, 1 hour 40 m and very uncomfortable car Ferry. The seats were wooden, engine fumes overpowering, very packed. Horrible experience.

The butrint national park was amazing. Could have done with out the coffee stop in the morning as the rest of the day felt very rushed. Food in the hotel was very average would have rather have gone else where or had more free time in Sarande. The castle stop was a joke only 15 minutes it would have been nice to have had the option to have a drink there rather than that hotel. The passport control coming back is diabolical queuing in the heat for over an hour.

We had a brilliant tour guide Mira, who was very engaging and much information about the site and its great history and the country’s history too. Good food and drinks throughout. Picked up 20 minute walk from where we are staying yet the mini bus passed the end of our road to collect others! At drop off to the port the driver pointed us in the direction of a building. No one there from Finkas to tell us and another party what to do. So queued to be told we needed boarding passes. Finally found someone and joined a long queue again! The coffee and lunch from the same hotel was awful and when there would have been plenty of other options Water should be provided

The trip itself was good, however it would be helpful to know what transfers are coming to pick us up as we weren’t aware which bus was ours and almost missed it. There was also a hidden port tax of 15 euro per person which could be only paid in cash however no other members of the tour did.

Overall the experience to Albania was fantastic our guide there was great and very informative, we got to see some fantastic views and the food was delicious. The only area I'd say would require a bit more improvement is at the port in Corfu when we got handed our boarding cards the staff could've been a bit more informative of what we needed to do, we just got passed our cards and told to go through passport control and we was left standing outside not knowing where to go.

When we arrived we were taken to a hotel for coffee for 1 hour. We returned to the hotel for lunch ( 45 minutes) and had 35 minutes free time in the town. It would of been better to have less time for coffee. We booked on line and were instructed to inform rep in hotel, the rep didn't know why , the pick up point was not at our hotel the rep did not point this out to us and saw us waiting outside the hotel on the morning of the trip but did not asl us what we were doing.

An excellent day trip, organisation by Finekas Tours was brilliant throughout. Fantastic guide in Albania, who ensured everything ran to time and imparted so much interesting commentary and history during the day. Would recommend this trip to anyone who is on holiday in Corfu as a fascinating day out.

Despite checking the pickup location the transfer never arrived. This we had a round trip of 40 minutes, on foot in pouring rain, plus waited at the pickup point for an hour for no purpose. Very poor customer service!

I really did enjoy the experience the guide was fantastic and really knew her stuff and the trip was mostly effortless. However i would say the following should be advertised when booking the trip - it is a really long trip and is not meant for those with young children - we saw there were young children present and whilst they were well behaved you could see them getting tired quite easily. The other recommendation is this - advertise beforehand where you are going names etc. Allow time to shop

Enjoyed the experience and the tour guide was fab. She was very informative however my only disappointment was the time it took to come back to our hotel. We caught the ferry at 4pm and got back to our hotel at 8.40pm whereby there was hardly any food left for our evening meal. I have taken pics and unfortunaly this was a poor ending to a lovely adventure.......

Excellent trip overall but it would have been better had we were given headsets. The guide was great and knowledgeable but it she was difficult to hear because there were so my parties there as well. Saranda itself didn't have much for tourists during the free time.

Throughly enjoyed this trip the quide was excellent we learnt so much about the history of Albania. Everything was explained in great detail. The only issue we had was getting back through customs at Corfu it was a free for all I was being pushed here and there. The system is totally unfair my husband did mention it to a lady waiting at Corfu customs and all she could say ( I know) .

Organisation a bit chaotic on the Corfu side (lack of communication more than anything) but very good once in Albania itself. Tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and brought the experience to life. Interesting historic ruins in a very unique location and well worth the visit. Be sure to bring lots of water if visiting in summer - it's very hot and humid.

It was a great trip to Albania, the day was very long which perhaps could have been made clearer on the website but for me it was fine (picked up at 7.30am and returned to hotel at 8pm), this was mainly due to the long queue at passport control at the port. The lunch included was at the perfect time and there were many good views. The tour guide I believe called Linda? Was amazing and so passionate about her country, she made the day which could had felt too much at times perfect!

The trip was good value for money. The guide in Albania was very knowledgeable about the city of Sarande and the other areas of the trip. The buffet meal in the hotel for lunch was very good and had something for everyone. We had 50 mins to explore which was ample due to the temperature that day.

It was a good trip. Albania feels like an up and coming destination. The people were very friendly and accommodating. It’s just a very long day and make sure you have all your documents in order. Also, read the small print: on top of the TUI ticket fee, there is a Greek port tax which cost us (two UK adults and a child) 45 Euros. Other families (I think with different passports) had to pay a LOT more up to 180 Euros. Passport control was also slow and tedious now the UK isn’t in the EU…

I booked a day trip with Tui but Tui did not provide the trip. There was no rep. from Tui evident. This led to major confusion. If we had been aware that this trip had been organised by a third party we would have felt more secure. Tui have let us down badly. Very poor communication and service. Would certainly NOT recomend Tui.

The Guide was very informative but perhaps the visit to the ruins could have been shorter (it was a very hot day). The lunch was nothing special and we had little time to explore on our own (40 mins). We had a fast ferry there and a very slow one back making it almost a 12 hour day. Could have been better organised with too much waiting around in very hot weather.

I had difficulties at the port leaving Corfu as they wanted written permission from my children's Father before letting me take them on the ferry. The way they handled it was embarrassing and stressful, they even took our passports off me and demanded I call him (it was 6.30am UK time) This could easily been avoided if tui had made me aware of this when booking the trip. However everything else about the trip was excellent and our guide in Albania was great

Trip was interesting. Glad tui offer it. Nice to have opportunity to visit somewhere different. Only downside was the length. Trip took 14 hours from hotel pick up to drop off. The transfer, ferry, and passport control took several hours. This should have been made clear.

we booked this Feb 24 for a Saturday @ 08.35 when advising rep as per form, he was surprised as there was no trip on that date, offered Sunday by call centre but Friday by rep. We amended our plans we took the trip on Friday 28th with a collection time of 07.55 ( though collection was late @ 08.20) trip was OK and we’re glad not to cancel. Our issue relates to as to why could we not have been advised earlier. Walking could have been reduced with break at top of castle.

Great day trip to Albania. Very knowledgeable guide. Excellent lunch at a 4 star hotel. Only bad point 90 minute's to get through passport control coming back, absolutely crazy. Would also like to know why we had to pay 15 euros per person to TUI for a port tax when we spoke to other English tourists who were doing the trip independently said they didn't have to pay any port tax??

As expected there was a lot of queuing. It was a shame the bus had to be combined with a German group as the multiple languages are confusing! The opportunity to visit Butrint was amazing, and interesting to see Albania. It was a shame our passports didn't get an Albanian stamp.

One of the best TUI trips that we have been on. The day was well organised and the guide, Linda, was amazing, so very knowledgeable and obviously proud of her Albanian heritage. The only slight concern was the lack of warning re the steps and terrain at Butrint, you need to publicise this as several elderly people did struggle. Overall though a great experience.

Boarding the boat outbound was a bit chaotic, not very clear instructions. Passport control both ways was quick and easy but it was early in the season, could see it being worse at peak time. Very early start so the coffee stop before going to Butrint was welcome. Guide and driver both excellent. Lunch was good, lots of choice.

Enjoyed archeological site but traffic delays caused us to have less time there. Meal was good. Didn’t feel stop in town was of any use. Would have preferred to go straight from lunch to the ferry.

Butrint was very nice, the lunch was good and also Sarande seemed nice. The main issue was that we ended up being away for 13 hours with only 1h40 min in Butrint, a bit less than an hour for lunch and 20 min in the end in Sarande. The rest of the time we were in the bus, waiting at the passport boarder control, boat (where we didn't get seats on the way back) and traffic jam. Because of that the free time was also always a bit rushed. Especially with our one year old it was challenging.

Since dropped off to Corfu Town it was one big chaos. Overall it was trip with big group, 2 full buses altogether and totally disorganised, some people was arguing with guide ladies. It was nice visit Albania but we stuck.in traffic and all tour guide was rush then was lunch in buffet form and it was lovely and we had about 1 hours spare free time, but not much wasn't there to do or see.

Attention!!! this is not a TUI trip, another company organizes it. confusion in the port (no one knows where to go or which bus to take) I asked twice and checked the tax in the port. the TUI office informed us as well as the hotel attendant that the tax is 10€, well, no, because 15€ per person. Cash payment only so be prepared! One of the attractions omitted (supposedly not enough time) I paid for everything and I didn't get it .... cheaper and better on your own. I DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!!

in the port of confusion no one gave any information. Finding a group is a miracle. bus without air conditioning and toilets. in the hotel, the resident said that the tax in the port is 10 € per person, while on the ship we paid 15 €. no one knew why and when asked for an explanation, we heard the answer "I only work here" after the resident returned. the hotel tried to tell me that I bought a trip from outside TUI (mean woman) personally it was nice to see on my own cheaper, better and without

A long day out but it was worth it. We were through passport control, on the fast boat and in Albania in good time. It soon becomes obvious that Albania is 90% mountains and 10% hills and plains. The guide took us around Butrint sharing her vast knowledge. She had to intervene when security stopped me from leaving having taken a photo in the small museum. When buying items in Saranda get the price in Euros first and have the correct money. Return takes 2-3hrs, only 1 person on the passport desk.

Going to Albania, the use of the hydrofoil rather than normal ferry was a bonus in that it meant we got to Butrint much quicker than I had expected. Shame that we didn't have it for the return journey as well. Excellent guided tour of the Butrint archaeological site. It could have been improved by having extra free time to revisit points of interest for more photo opportunities. The free time in Sarande was uninspiring, but the visit to the castle was excellent. The meal was only average.

Overall the trip was good. The tour, guide and meal in Albania were excellent. However the Finikas staff in Corfu (agent appointed by TUI) were disappointing - 1 We were informed once we boarded the Ferry, we had to pay a departure tax of €15 each. No official receipt given. Why did we not pay this at passport control? Another Tour company (Magic Tours) did not make their customers pay. 2 Transfer back to hotel was poorly organised. Taken off our original bus, for an overcrowded one!!

Well informed guide, good itinerary, pleasant day. Delayed start, and 2.5Hrs to get through passport control on the way back in, losing us the ability to change hotels.

Rather than leaving negative feedback,I wish to share info to help; 1.) Take lots of water no air conditioning on the bus. 2.) Tui do not lable the collection bus, the driver will just say going to Albania. 3.) Tui don't guide this tour,it's out sorted to Finalnk 4.) You will be give a boarding pass and sent round the front.... you don't see another guide till you bored a boat. 5.) Go round the front que on the left. 6.) Find a finklan boat. 7.) Return, allow 3-4 hrs quing! Enjoy you trip.

The trip the the ruins was amazing and the tour guides were great, all along the countryside they highlighted things and told us all about albania. They were so knowledgeable. The time passing through the port was ridiculous, it took so long that we had to cut out tour of the ruins short. Maybe set off earlier to allow for the time delay at the port.

Passport control at Corfu Port was very slow which probably affected the time we had to spend in Sarande and and made a long day even longer. everything else was fine.

Our guide was all everything you need in a guide. She had a sense of humour and was considerate. Her knowledge was genuine, this showed when pumped with questions by a group member who was very enthusiastic about historical facts relating to the site. The ruins were located within a national park, beautiful and well shaded in the heat. The food stop was perfect, with delicious food on offer. There were lengthy waits at the port and passport control, so I was glad I brought water and a snack.

The guide was excellent, very personal in her stories and she was very enthusiastic. The group was a little too large. The main negative was the queuing, to get through passport control and even to pay the tax on the boat. It seems very bureaucatic that we could not start the boat journey and have staff collect the tax during the sailing. Or even better, TUI should include it in their excursion fee. Also would suggest that TUI could offer a second excursion destination in Albania from Corfu.

This was an interesting place to visit however the travelling time was much longer than expected. The archaeological site was amazing though I would have preferred to explore by myself as the guide was slow and had no more knowledge than the information boards. The next stop for lunch (at 3pm) was very tasty and plentiful. The final free hour was at Saranta, lovely promenade but nothing but restaurants and we had just had lunch so nothing to do. Trip not "exclusive to TUI", not a rep in site.

We really enjoyed the archeological site and seeing Sarande and the countryside. You need to warn travellers that the site is in a forest and there are LOTS of biting insects, so use of a repellent is important. We thought the lunch was a little plain. Other meals at the restaurant looked more appetising. We really didn’t like the queue for the port taxes (1.5 hours) but the coach home was well organised. It was a big trip (4 coaches) and it was not exclusive to TUI.

The whole day was enjoyable but not organised well, there was delays and people in the wrong buses due to language misunderstandings. We felt that the excursion through the ruins and Castle was rushed and that the lunch was delicious but not much of a variety for vegetarians apart from bread pasta tomato and cucumber. The restaurant was beautiful, so definitely a great choice!

We had an excellent guide taking us through the ruins, her knowledge was amazing as was her history lesson about Albania. The only thing we didn't appreciate was the stop off for food, not the food itself but 3euros for a 250ml bottle of coke was a complete rip off, I personally would have preferred more time at the resort where we docked whereupon we could have choosen our own food and had a swim. A whistle stop tour of a country trying to get rid of an old image that I'm pleased I took

Enjoyed visiting the ruins but day was really compact and everything rushed due to delays at passport control, picked up from hotel at 7.00 but only left Corfu at 12.00. Was given no information on pickup and was just dropped at the port, didn’t have a clue where to go. Long queue at passport control and was very late arriving in Albania. No free time due to delays had 15 minutes on waterfront before returning back late. Very long day

Having left at 7am, it took 5 hours to get to Albania. Queues at the port were 2 hours and the boat was late, leaving limited time in Albania. This is not a TUI tour, run by another tour company and there was no TUI representation to ask questions. The UNESCO site was great, but the guide told us to hurry up whilst we were looking around as we were late. Had 30 minutes to walk around the city since the whole day was late, which was a quick walk on the promenade. Arrived back at hotel at 9:15pm.

We booked in height of summer and it took 2 hours queueing in the sun to go through passport control before getting in the boat. The tour guide in Albania was excellent and made the trip to Butrint very informative and interesting. The lunch in the restaurant was lovely. Overall, well worth it if you’re interested in history, not for children under 12 I’d say due to the length of time queueing and the hours spent travelling. An interesting but long day for adults and interested teens.

We loved the visit and tour of Butprint and watching the countryside on our way there. It was great to see so many civilisations. Our teenagers were very excited to see (sadly only very briefly) the communistic bunkers. It would be a special experience for them if the bus stopped for 5-10mins to see the bunkers (even just one!) in person and have a picture taken. Wish we were warned about the price hikes between Butprint (4€ for a magnet;12€ for Tshirt) and Serande (€2 for magnet;€8 for Tshirt).

Excellent day out. My only suggestion is that we could have done with more info up front (I understand this is being looked at) as while everything worked out well we didn’t know what to expect at each stage - eg initial delays getting onto the boat translated into a slick process at the other side. Very interesting tour and a very knowledgeable guide who really knew her subject and explained well.

Pro's: Tour guide amazing knowledge and humorous giving lots of information about Albania. Unesco Site really interesting. Boat trip across from Corfu to Albania very relaxing and beautiful scenery. Lunch provided in restaurant was good quality. Cons Coach to trip was late to pick us up Queue at Port very long, waited nearly an hour outside in sun to check passports No shops open in Albania because of time arrived. Queue to get back Corfu port long on return for Uk residents

The Hotel was nice but mainly for family’s. Food was good, entertainment was mainly for children, no tribute type acts for adults. Trip to Albania fantastic guide very good, only problem was the port passport control in and out of Corfu. No bus came to pick us up for airport.
