Una visita turística a Cárdenas completa el día. Comenzarás con una visita a la fábrica de Ron Arrechabala para observar el proceso milenario de creación de la bebida nacional de Cuba. Observa de primera mano la maquinaria y el equipo utilizados en su producción y haz un recorrido por las bodegas de añejamiento. También habrá una degustación. Luego, un viaje a través de los campos de caña de azúcar lo llevará a Cárdenas, una ciudad famosa por su inusual arte público contemporáneo. Disfrute de un recorrido turístico por el casco antiguo de la época colonial antes de hacer una pausa para almorzar en un restaurante cercano. Por la tarde, visitará un famoso emporio de puros en Varadero, seguido de una sesión de maridaje de ron y puros con un conocedor. Realmente no podría haber nada más cubano que esto.

We went on the Rum and cigar tasting tour on 17/04/24. I booked it as the tour sounded good but was a little hesitant after reading other reviews which were negative. Anyway, the tour was amazing. The guide was fabulous, shared lots of knowledge, we had 9 rums and got a chunky cigar to take after watching them be made. We didnt wait for anything and the lunch was very tasty. Take some water with you but you’ll be given oppurtunities to buy drinks also

Great

A really excellent trip, with a very knowledgeable guide. The sugar mill was a real highlight. The meal was generous and the free gifts were unexpected and appreciated. The tour title is slightly misleading, though. The cigar aspect of the trip was minimal, with one demonstration of rolling and then smoking - it would have been good to see a factory or more of the history.

We were not told at any point that we would constantly have to wait our turn to get into the restaurant and cigar demonstration until the previous tour in front of us had eaten and seen the cigar rolling and sugar cane and rum tasting at these points we had to sit outside in the hot baking sun amusing ourself's while the tour rep sat and did nothing. Overall not great way of treating clients this trip could have been much much shorter and more efficient if we didn't have to constantly wait.

Great experience, not a great distance from the hotel which is handy because of the amount of rum distributed, you get to know some of the real hardship Cubans face due to sanctions imposed but a friendly warm experience

The trip involved a large amount of standing around waiting for other groups to move on before we could move in, also a long wait outside a restaurant waiting for the previous group to finish eating before we could go in. It would be better to stagger the groups or offer another restaurant to accommodate all. The guide and all the speakers at the destinations were excellent and very good value for money. It would be helpful to advise customers to take a small amount of cash for tipping.

We really enjoyed this excursion, we thought the tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. The excursion was definitely worth the money for the amount of places we visited. The only thing we wish we were informed about prior to the trip was to bring enough water with us or bank cards. There was no water available on the trip and every shop near the places we visited was a government owned and did not accept their own currency or pound coins.

The repetitive translation at each venue was rather trying. English guide to Spanish guide and back. The trip is under marketed. There is so much that the excursion has that is not even mentioned in the ad.

Overall great trip, love the way the whole experiance was around the area we were staying. High light been the sugar cain factory. Guide fantastic. Real steady and easy paste day which help set the tone. Would highly recommend the trip for the exoeriance

We had a really good day, really enjoyed it and it was nice that it was so close to the hotels so we weren’t travelling for ages. The bus was packed, and we had to add on another tour bus of people who needed the guide in English. The lunch wasn’t good, we didn’t have any options, just given fish soup to start and then fish for main. We didn’t like either. The drinks also took far too long to be brought out. Overall, we really enjoyed it and the visit to the rum shop was great! Lots of rum on offer for a good price!
