The ancient Egyptians built their great monuments based on meticulous engineering and mathematics.On this semi-private tour for small groups of up to 8 pax, you will experience Luxor’s top treasures including Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple plus the giant Colossi of Memnon – all of which you’ll explore in just one day, including a delicious set menu lunch at a 5-star hotel to meet your expectations.Setting off from Hurghada City and surroundings in Makdai Bay, Soma Bay, Sahl Hashish, El Gouna, Safaga and Kalawy Bay in the early morning through the Red Sea Mountains to Luxor, you’ll stop for breakfast before delving into your first sight – the impressive Karnak Temple, a sprawling complex of towering temples. We went on this trip in March 2025 and we're glad we did. The day was packed with interesting tombs and monuments with stops for drinks and lunch. Our guide Yasser (aka The Smiley Guide) was brilliant, he made the trip interesting and could answer every question we had, this is a must when in Egypt.

Retken kuvauksessa on mainittu aamupala, joten oletimme, että tulemme saamaan jonkinlaisen aamupalan. Todellisuudessa se oli ilmeisesti tuo vessapysähdys puolessa välissä Luxoriin, missä oli mahdollista itse ostaa kahvia ja muuta. Muuten retken kuvaus vastasi esittelytekstiä. resan I helhet och dess innehåll var bra och givande. Jag och min man tänkte att resan var ganska långt och det vore bättre med bekvämare och modernare bussar. Eller erbjuda flygresa även till luxur. Ändå var vi mycket nöjd och resan var lärorik.

Our guide Bebo and our drivers Omar and Michael really did a fantastic job. The trip was fascinating but there is just too much crammed into too short a time. Everything was so rushed, it would be better to reduce the number of stops or to lengthen the time in Luxor a bit as we were only there till just gone 3pm, which could have been extended a bit to give us more time in each place

Our guide Caspar was excellent, fluent English, and extremely knowledgeable about our trips. We enjoyed the lunch and felt it was excellent value for money. The only issue we had was the start time we were given was 3.30 so we were up at 2 am, but the local tour company did not message us and then did not turn up,until 4.30. Overall though we had a superb experience.

Our guide was very informative, the bus was comfy and we seemed to get places before all the big groups. The guys at the alabaster factory were very entertaining. The bus was early for our pickup which was great as we were ready to go. The places we went were incredible The guide and driver explained about all the tests the drivers have to do before they can drive tourists, which was really good to know and made us feel safe on the crazy roads.

De locaties waren echt prachtig en geweldig indrukwekkend! De gids was ook super! De faciliteiten in de bus zouden iets beter kunnen. Het aantal locaties die je bezoekt maakt dat je best wel redelijk gehaast er doorheen loopt en dat is jammer. Het eten tussen de middag was redelijk maar niet top!

Die Autofahrt alleine ab Qena bis Luxor ist ein Abenteuer für sich. Vor Ort sieht man viel, ca. 1 Stunde Zeit je Ort für Besichtigung mit/ohne Guide. Es wird um alles gekümmert und mit dem Guide gibt es einen schnelleren Zutritt zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Für meinen Sohn (15) war es der beste Ausflug seines Lebens. Als einziges Manko würde ich die Toiletten Situation bei der Oase zwischen Safaga und Qena erwähnen - ohne Bargeld keine Chance für Frauen. Und mit Euro wird es teuer, also Pfund!

Insgesamt sehr gut organisierte Reise. Man kann sich aber darauf einstellen, dass der Ausflug tatsächlich 17-18h dauert. Wir wurden um 4.30 Uhr abgeholt - wenn noch mehr Hotels angesteuert werden, kann es auch schon früher losgehen. 21.10 Uhr waren wir zurück. Unser Guide war sehr freundlich und fachlich sehr kompetent. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Das Mittagessen war sehr einfach gehalten. Die Kellner haben die Teller zu früh weggeräumt, auch wenn man noch nicht ganz fertig mit dem Essen war.

Een prachtige uitstap , je bent lang onderweg maar wat je te zien krijgt is top. Alles veilig met twee chauffeurs , de rit door de woestijn in de opkomende zon. De twee tempels , de vallei der koningen , betaal zeker bij voor de tombe van Toetanchamon (700 Egp) Een verzorgde lunch , boottocht op de Nijl. Een zeer deskundige gids. Kortom een voltreffer!

alles im allen ein sehr guter betreuter Ausflug ein kompetenter Reiseleiter,fachlich gut ausgebildet ein kleiner Manko,war das essen im Steinberger, es war fast kalt, ich glaube kann es aber nicht gut beurteilen, das ein Buffet besser wäre so wie auf der Insel, der durchlauf wäre schnell und man könnte es besser warm halten, es muss kein reichhaltiges sein

Onnistunut retki Luxoriin! Egyptilöinen oppaamme piti pienen 8 henkilön ryhmämme hyvin koossa ja piti hyvää huolta meistä. Hän kertoi meille paljon sekä nykyegyptistä ja Luxorin eri nähtävyyksien historiasta. Lounas oli maukas ja sen kruunasi kauniit näköalat Niilin yli. Kaikin puolin hyvin organisoitu päiväretki! Päivä on pitkä ja minibussissa tulee istuttua pitkään, varsinkin menomatkalla pakollinen check point pysähdys kesti, kannattaa siis varautua tähän pukeutumalla mukavasti.

Inget vatten el snacks på resan. Guide tog överpris för Tut Ankh Amons grav, över det dubbla än vad som angivits. Fanns ej något alternativ för mat på lunchen, vilken jag och två andra ej kunde äta. Besök på alabaster fabrik kan slopas för man kände sig obekväm och krav på att handla. Mycket dyrt. Vi kände oss trygga med guiden, höll ihop oss bra. Mycket att se.

Vilken fantastisk upplevelse! Värd varenda krona! Guiden var rolig, underhållande och väldigt trevlig! Vi kände oss uppmärksammade och säkra hela resan. Minne för livet! Enda minus är lunchen på det så kallade 5-stjärniga hotellet. Det var smutsigt, personalen stressig och otrevlig, toaletterna äckliga och maten tråkig. Vegetarisk mat var pommes och sallad. Hade hellre ätit, medtagen picknick från hotellet, på båtturen över Nilen. Utöver detta, 9/10 - boka utflykten, du lär inte ångra dig!

Päivän sisältö vastasi annettua kuvausta. Palvelu toimi hyvin ja esim. noutoaikataulu piti hyvin paikkansa. Meillä oli hyvin aikaa tutustua kaikkiin päivän kohteisiin ja opaamme kertoi päivän aikana historiasta ja kohteista todella paljon. Päivään oli sisällytetty käynti kohteessa, jossa valmistettiin erilaisista kivistä egypti aiheisia esineitä, mutta tämän olisi voinut jättää välistä ja lisätä historiallisen kohteen päivän agendaa. Pakkomyynti latisti kokonaisuutta. Muuten erittäin hyvä päivä

De gids was veel aan het slapen onderweg. Tot 5 minuten voor aanvang. Toen begon hij te vertellen. Heel snel en niet te verstaan. Bij andere organisaties zag je de gids mee gaan om te vertellen en bij ons bleef hij bij de ingang en moesten we ons zelf redden. Het was dat we hele leuke medereizigers hadden. We hebben ons wel vermaakt zonder gids. De bezienswaardigheden waren zeer indrukwekkend en erg mooi om te zien.

Der blev kørt frisk til på turen til Luxor, men chaufførerne viste tydeligt hvad de lavede. Alt i alt en fin tur. Guiden var fantastisk, med god tid til at fremvise de bedste steder, og god tid til spørgsmål.

This was an excellent day being everything we expected and we loved it. However it was spoiled by the standard of driving by both drivers who put our lives at risk by treating the route from Qena to Luxor as a race track, going at maximum possible speed and overtaking everything in sight in whatever way possible, How we did not hit another vehicle or person is an absolute miracle. I appreciate that this is Egypt and we knew a little about what might happen however this was totally unacceptable.

Das Mittagessen im Steigenberger war lieblos und der Service war schlecht. So wurde uns der Teller weggenommen, obwohl wir den letzten Bissen noch nicht runtergeschluckt hatten. Bei 11 Personen im Bus war der Platz zu gering, zumal drei Männer über 1,90m zur Reisegruppe gehörten.

Our guide was very engaging and knowledgeable-our issue was with the tui side of things and communication. When you have an email saying water is included and it’s not - in 40° heat that’s not acceptable.The meal was rushed with horrible food not catering to dietary needs or desires.There was a stop at a shop selling stone goods which was not advertised. I complained and was told I need to provide evidence. How can I evidence that we weren’t given water?What we saw was good, TUI service v poor

The experience was great but the communication from Musement/Easyjet was so poor! I was emailed to say 24hrs before the experience I would be told the time of pick up but this never happened so I was ready and waiting from 3.15am as per the confirmation but didn’t get picked up until 4.45am!

schönes und spannendes Erlebnis, unser Guide war sehr motiviert, man wird teilweise etwas durchgehetzt (v.a. Tal der Könige) aber bei der großen Hitze hält man es sowieso nicht länger in der Sonne aus, unbedingt genug Getränke mitnehmen! Unser Kleinbus war stets klimatisiert und auch die Fahrer waren sehr nett, gegen Ende besucht man noch eine Alabaster-Fabrik: es gibt sehr schöne Sachen, aber unbedingt gut verhandeln (teilwweise überteuert)! Sonst leider keine Möglichkeiten für Souvenirs

Das Erlebnis war an sich sehr schön. Die Tempel waren beeindruckend. Der Tourguide war aber daran interessiert das wir irgendwelche von ihm beworbenen Produkte kaufen was mich störte. Es hatte den Anschein einer Kaffeefahrt. Für den Preis hätte ich mir mehr gewünscht. Vor allem wenn man weiß wie viel die Leute vor Ort verdienen ist das eine abzocke von Seiten ihres Unternehmens

It should provide sun umbrellas for the duration of the trip it’s so so hot and people don’t fully understand until there . Also the lunch should be a menu choice the food wasn’t nice and the child that was on our excursion wanted nuggets and chips or fish fingers and chips not what she got. And the air conditioning in the bus wasn’t good at all .

Very long day recommend taking a travel pillow for the car journey but definitely worth it. Mena knew his stuff and kept us well informed throughout the day and provided us with water and soft drinks to keep us hydrated. All in all amazing day.

This tour is so well organised - we simply cannot fault it. Our pick-up was prompt and our tour guide Nabil and drivers were attentive, fun, and extremely knowledgable. We got a potted and interactive history of Ancient Egypt to introduce us to what lay ahead. As quality is always better value, this mini bus was deluxe and clean if not as spacious as a coach - but it was very safe and service so personal. Luxor is amazing, lunch and boat across the Nile were fun but the tour was just brilliant!

We had a fantastic day. At times we felt a little rushed leaving the vehicle and clearer information before each destination about what we needed and how long we would be away from the vehicle would have been beneficial. The guide, Mohammad's, knowledge was amazing and he totally engaged with us. He coped very well with our inquisitive 12 year old and answered every question fired at him. The drivers were friendly. Having lots of cold water bottles in the van was brilliant.

We loved every second of this trip, our guide David was amazing! We managed to be one of the first vehicles through the check point to Luxor, giving us a head start to the sites. We couldn't believe it when we arrived at the Colossi of Memnon and there wasn't another person in sight! We enjoyed a perfect lunch of roast chicken and vegetables with rice underneath a mango tree beside the Nile. Just perfect. We'll definitely be back to Luxor with David as our guide!

We had a very long and hot day in Luxor but it was absolutely excellent. Our guide, Harby, was brilliant. He was incredibly knowledgeable, explained in simple terms and was kind to our daughters who struggled in the heat. Only surprise/warning was the state of the roads and hairy driving in Luxor.

After careful consideration and comparison to other excursions, we felt the LUXOR excursion was very rushed. The guide was dismissive to several questions and condescending. The book the guide sold was not as expected as it had blurred photos, pages stuck together & blotches of ink on a few pages.

Det var super fedt at vi nåede så meget på én dag. Omvendt går det også så hurtigt at man gerne ville ha gjort mere af nogle af tingene. Et simpelt forslag er at sejle længere tid på Nilen og helt droppe værkstedet med stenskulpturer, der var ikke nogen i vores gruppe det ville købe noget alligevel.

It was an amazing day. The ruins and the valley of the kings were amazing. We could have done without the craft shop as you feel like you have to buy something. I would like to add that we drove through a very busy area where the traffic was almost at a standstill and there were young men tapping their ak47s on the bus windows (very worrying) .

Ein super Ausflug mit kompetentem Team aus Fahrern und Guide (private Tour) wir haben den Tag sehr genossen und viel über Ägypten gelernt. 10 Punkte gäbe es wenn uns die Richtige Abfahrtszeit genannt worden wäre (1:30 min später als angekündigt) der Guide nicht versuchen würde Shirts und Ketten zu verkaufen und von vornherein Stopps in irgendwelchen obskuren Fabriken gestrichen würden. Wir konnten das selber verhindern, aber warum muss ein toller Tag durch Touristennepp verdorben werden?

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip our Guide was excellent explaining everything in detail which we could understand. My only minor complaint was when we stopped at the Hotel for our meal. We were served our Starter,& main meal together, then coffee and with more of a break our dessert. It waS all a rush. However it was an amazing trip one never to be forgotten ¡!!

Splendid selection of antiquities and tombs visited. Our guide Harbi was first class and good company. The return journey took 3 hours, yet the journey there took 5. Egyptian authorities- pull your finger out.

Fantastiskt utflykt till Luxor ! Guiden var mycket bra .Duktig på engelska, Väldigt kunnig och engagerad. Ett minne för livet och en resa jag rekommenderar! Hotellet var väldigt bra ! Jätte bra service, rent och fint . Personalen var snabba med att försöka lösa eventuella problem! Wi Fi var dock katastrof! Funkade bara i receptionen. En av Tui personalen på hotellet som hette Maher var fantastiskt! Han var väldigt engagerad och hjälpsam och ville verkligen att vi skulle trivas.

An enjoyable day, had to chase the rep for a leaving time which ended up later than expected 0450 which then had the knock on effect which meant we didn’t have as long as we would have liked at Karnak temple and the day felt slightly rushed. Guide was good, interesting to see local Egyptian life.

Excellent tour / food / amazing. My only concern was our tour guide (David) clearly not his real name didn’t seem to want to take us to see King Tut tomb. I had to ask him and eventually everyone decided we would. Didn’t like the fact that he had that influence on something I’ve wanted to see in years. Felt he was trying to put us off. I would have been really upset (on his advice) that we had missed it. Otherwise he was very knowledgeable and passionate.

Momen var en fantastisk guide! Bussen var yderst behagelig og alt omkring det praktiske (opsamling m.m.) var nemt og fint. Frokosten var en anelse sørgelig - men det var rart at indtage den på et hotel inden turen over Nilen. Det vil være fint at I husker gæster på at tage småpenge med til toiletbesøg m.m. undervejs. Foruden mad til turen, en evt. pude til busturen etc. (bussen er med hele vejen). Men en rigtig fin og spændende tur omkring templerne i Luxor og ikke mindst Kongernes Dal.

Sehr spannende Reise ins Tal der Könige. Wir haben uns die eindrucksvolle Karnak-Tempelanlage in der Nähe von Luxor angeschaut, anschließend ging es zu den Grabkammern im Tal der Könige. Ebenfalls faszinierend. Danach gibt es noch eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit bei einer Manufaktur für Alabaster/Steinskulpturen. Eintritt in die Kammer Tutanchamuns kostet ca. 25€ Extra. Trinkgeld für den Reiseleiter und Fahrer nicht vergessen. Reiseleitung und Erklärungen waren super. Kann ich empfehlen.

The trip was fantastic, the guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. The historical sights are breathtaking. Only took a couple of points off because it is a long and exhausting day of travel but we understand that is geography. I know the reason’s why we went but we felt the alabaster shop visit was unnecessary and we felt under pressure to buy something.

Had a great trip with Smiley Smiley (sorry don’t know his real name) he looked after us superbly. The tour was exactly as described. It was a long day but well worth it. It is very much a whistle stop tour but as an introduction to Luxor, Valley or the Kings etc it was great value for money.

The guide, David, was excellent (5 stars!) being friendly, knowledgeable and informative.
The drivers, however, were dangerous, erratic and confrontational to other road users. It was far from a comfortable passenger experience
Sadly the driving dampened an otherwise excellent day.

Very informative guide who was able to answer all our questions. The whole trip was seamless, from the hotel pickup through to each stop plus we were always kept up to date as to what we were doing next. We also had the opportunity to choose if we wanted to see the next monument etc.

guide parfait, excellent français le passage par le magasin d'albâtre est tout fait nul et devrait être supprimé pour laisser plus de temps aux temples le conducteur a fait pendant quelques minutes la course avec 2 autres autos à stopper cela extrêmement dangereux ensuite il s'est calmé Tous les cinq , nous avons été dérangé des intestins ( à des stades divers) pendant la nuit est-ce du au resto du midi? ( nous n'avions pas été derange depuis le debut du séjour)

This is an early start and a long day but worth every minute. We were picked up on time,had two fantastic drivers who were very safe and made good time. Then our egyptologist, Emad, wow just wow, his knowledge and enthusiasm for sharing it was fantastic. He took time before we reached Luxor to give us some basis of what we would see. The only advice we could have benefited from was that, at the valley of the Kings they only accept card and NOT cash for tombs outside of your tour. Overall amazing
