What to expect

Sind Sie bereit, sich bei diesem entspannten Stadtspaziergang in den Charme und Charakter von Skiathos-Stadt zu verlieben? Wir beginnen mit einem Spaziergang entlang der Papadiamantis-Straße – dem Herzen der Stadt voller Geschäfte, Cafés und dem alltäglichen Leben der Einheimischen. Von dort schlendern wir hinauf zur Kirche der Drei Hierarchen, einem eindrucksvollen Stück Inselgeschichte. Vasilis, einer unserer ortskundigen Tourguides, erklärt: „Nur wenige Schritte vom Stadtzentrum entfernt finden sich versteckte Winkel mit wunderschönen Kirchen und ruhigen Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen.“ Skiathos spielte im griechischen Unabhängigkeitskampf eine wichtige symbolische Rolle – unsere erste Flagge wurde hier 1807 gehisst.

We found the tour very informative and interesting, the guide Michael was great fun he made the tour what it is . All the little things he showed us about Skiathos we would never have seen with our him . The Museum was lovely and the family were s very welcoming . I would do it again when I'm next in Skiathos.

Michael was absolutely superb. The only downside was the minibus was 23 minutes late for pick up and it was lucky we hadn’t given up and left the pick up point !

I really enjoyed it. Michael is a great character and very knowledgeable. Great if you are interested in local history or just want to know more about the town. There’s more to it than shops bars and restaurants. But if that’s all you’re interested in, then this isn’t for you!

I really enjoyed the guide he was very knowledgeable and really funny and we learnt a lot. The only reason I have marked it down is because we're supposed to have some local tasting and we didn't get that so that was disappointing.

We were picked up on time and taken to meet Micheal our guide. He was excellent and had alot of knowledge about the town. It was very relaxed. The visits to the church. Museum and house were good. But no local food was offered as stated in the booking title.

Enlightening guide, humouros , entertaining Michael. Pace and pitch were about right. I think if WALK started at 17.00/17.30then the finish time would allow one to look around & eat.At the current time ON A SUNDAY NIGHT,,WE ALL RUSHED TO CATCH THE BUS HOME. We were mis sold by TUI. Long trousers, sleeveless tops etc THERE WERE NO CHURCHES OPEN. You TUI know this but you still put down what you think to make it sound good. Listen/ talk to the guide & write it correctly. book passport No ?
