Really enjoyed our trip, even more than I thought I would! Our guide Nikki and driver Dean were so lovely, yes the roads up to Bob Marley’s house were a bit precarious but the drivers know what they are doing and they are no worse than some in the English countryside. Our guide up there, Benjamin, was sensational! We did stop at the souvenir shop and while we were encouraged to try different rums, we didn’t feel pressured to buy anything, the same as at Bob Marley’s house with weed. 10/10!

The whole process from the knowledgeable TUI team based at the Aquarella Jackie &Caroline to pick up driver and tour guide 9 miles experience tour was excellent and the tour guide made me feel at peace with what was learnt Lunch was lovely

George the driver was very good and for the most part on the way there kept us well informed and imparted a lot of knowledge on the tour. The female rep barely spoke and contributed little to the coach trip or the experience at all. We are disgusted with Tui for the following reason. On arriving at nine mile the rep herds everybody into a shack which serves no purpose other than to extort money forcefully out of visitors for unwanted tat and drugs. The actual Bob Marley tour was brilliant transport hazzardous going off the beaten track holding on going and coming back. We did not like the holding pen at the beginning where we got ushered in to show the ins and outs of cannabis etc. Lunch awful never experienced before on a tui tour. Value for money most definitely not and talking to others on the bus felt the same also sorry tui but this is not your usual standard

I enjoyed seeing the whole Bob Marley thing, but I hated being driven from the hotel to a shop to be pressured into buying goods and then rushed to the experience I had paid. We got that it all felt rushed we were on and out and instructed to not mess about and be back on the bus. We were only at the Bob Marley property for about 40mins. Then rushed to lunch and then back to the resort. I wish I had known that we would be visiting the shop before hand to ensure we had enough money with us..

Overall I enjoyed the tour though it's expensive for what you get. Very bumpy road. I'm shocked that a TUI tour would force people into a shack over the road from the BM museum to have cannabis forced onto them by the local rastas. Just forcefully say "No man" when offered. The BM tour itself was OK, not much info on the legend and a lot of requests for tips. A guy called "Captain Crazy" did our tour. He's a fun local rasta guy but some may take offence at what he says so keep an open mind.

Rui Ochio Rios food was not great. I expected better. Steam room did not work properly. Inside swimming pool was closed TUI trips quite expensive and not frequent. Junior suite sofa bed smelt very musty/urine. Toilet waste blocked twice. Excellent entertainment and water sports centre.

The trip was cancelled by TUI the evening before the trip due to lack of people booking!!! Then you’ve the hassle of getting a refund because TUI Jamaica and TUI customer service don’t seem to talk to each other!!!

Captain crazy (think he was called) was the BEST tour guide ever… he was sooo funny very knowledgeable and listened and answered the questions he was asked, took time for people with mobility issues… he was just the BEST…. The tour was amazing and very moving going to see bibs resting place (RIP)

Het was een lange rit waarbij we veel winkels in werden gepushed. Aangekomen bij bob marleys huis was dit een tour van 30 min waarna wij weer 2 uur terug moesten. Er word heel mooi geadverteerd net deze excursie als een niet te missen activiteit. Maar is het geld absoluut niet waard

Eerst naar een souvenirs shop op 10 min van het hotel , is een beetje onzin, omdat je in Nine Miles ook genoeg winkeltjes door moet lopen voordat je uiteindelijk bij het mausoleum bent. Geweldige gids daar,Captain Crazy! Op de terugweg op 5 min van het hotel gegeten, dan hadden we beter daar afgezet kunnen worden. Verder leuke trip en must see voor Jamaica, Bob Marley

The tour was good overall. Didn't like been taken to a shop and being pressured to buy stuff. Not having meal at reggae land after the tour was disappointing. We drove most of the way back and had an underwhelming dry and burnt veggie burger.

Excellent and informative excursion. The driver was a real professional and his assistant was really caring towards the customers. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, being a huge Bob Marley fan. Maybe should be less expensive, it then again, it’s in line with everything in Jamaica- expensive!

This tour was not a half day tour. After numerous needless stops at shops and drug dens we finally got into the famous blue gates. After being encouraged to tip anyone and everyone or buy spliffs or candles, we finally got to look around Bob Marleys house of Birth and resting place. I loved this part of the tour as a huge fan. At the end of the tour the guide stood in front of the closed gates and pointed to a tip the guide sign. Great trip tarnished by endless money making and drugs

Nine Mile trip to Bob Marley Estate was good. The lunch stop was totally unnecessary. By the time we stopped for food it was past 2pm and most if not all the guests just wanted to be returned to their respective hotels. Added to the fact that we had to wait for the food to be served which was delivered in a very haphazard fashion. It should have been ready as soon as we arrived at the restaurant it only needed the guide to call ahead with an eta Visit to Marley estate very good indeed

The overall experience was amazing. The staff and guide at nine mile were fantastic. The reason for the bad review was Bryan The bus driver. He drove like a race driver on the way up and down to the nine mile experience on very narrow windey and bumpy road. I was at times scared for my life. Tui should ensure the safety of there guests but not at all. Everyone who was on our trip also stated they were not happy with Bryan's dring. An absolute nightmare would not recommend

Driver was 30 mins 2 hour excursion took over 3 hours tour guide spoke for 20mins then slept rest of the way there and the whole journey back she mentioned tippy her and the driver when ppl didn't she was vocal about it I paid alot of money for this trip although 9mile once we arrived was amazing longer would of been better

The Resort is beautiful, the Staff are the friendliest we have ever met! Our room was lovely, clean and the bed huge and comfy. The negatives which were few, were, not enough sockets in the room, TV didn't work at all, and the lifts were constantly out of action. Apart from that we love the hotel and resort, and the package we booked through Tui.

Everything on the Bob Marley tour was fine the lunch was rubbish, it was rice n peas and a bit of chicken even with the sauce it was stone cold and dry. Very disappointed with lunch we never got to eat until 14.30 and it was **********, lol.

Guide und Fahrer waren sehr professionell und freundlich. Der Bus ebenfalls komfortabel. Pünktliche Abfahrt. Die Fahrt war landschaftlich sehr schön und auf guten Straßen. Was jedoch nicht schön war und für mich ein Grund die Tour nicht weiter zu empfehlen die vielen aufdringlichen Mitarbeiter Vorort die mit allem Geld machen wollen bis man zum eigentlichen Museum kommt weshalb man da ist, sowie das Mittagessen was keine 5 Euro wert war und kein Wasser nur ein nicht schmeckender Fruit Punch!

The bus driver, George & his assistant Nicole who took us to the 9 mile tour were extremely informative the area and all about Jamaica as a whole. Explaining things on route. The only negative I could say is that nothing was explained about what would happen once we arrived at the venue. When we arrived at the 9 mile tour we were taken directly to a hut outside where they were selling "stuff"!!! This wasn't an issue but it would have been nice to be aware of this.

I very nearly cancelled this trip because of all the negativity I read about it, mainly to do with the drive up the mountains but I can honestly say, it was a highlight of my trip to Jamaica! Yes, the road is bumpy! But you experience the REAL Jamaica. The trip itself is excellent! Chantelle told us so much about Jamaican culture. Once at the tour, it’s a small place but the respect to Bob Marley is amazing. His final resting place is so beautiful. Don’t read the bad stuff - book it!!!

Picked up at 8am and not any food until gone 2.30 pm. We ate at 7 so we would be on time for the pick up at 7.45 which was late. This is a long time not to eat. Along the tour it was all about selling you things which felt a bit constant

Pick was prompt. Nikeesha (aka Mama) & driver were very informative & friendly. Plenty of information about the country & culture en route. Souvenir stop off...large choice with 50% off plus tax. On arrival you are offered ganja etc but not overly forced. Drinks can be bought at the bar before Bob Marley's cousin begins the very informative tour. A reggae band played music, the audience joined in & it was great fun. The guy was so funny & knowledgeable. Would highly recommend Food was fine. (V)

Our guide Casey and driver George provided a great commentary on the journey to and from Nine Mile - they are an excellent double-act. We learnt a lot on the trip about Jamaican life and culture. At Nine Mile itself, we got a tour from a very engaging and amusing guide (sorry, don't remember his name). We visited the Marley houses, the mausoleum and the church and it was very interesting and moving. Only negative - Lunch was underwhelming and nowhere near Nine Mile.

Pick up was on time. Driver and tour guide was very good lots of knowledge of Jamaica. Tour of 9mile was fantastic felt so safe no worries at all. Tour guide inside 9mile was very funny and friendly, no pressure in buying anything while there it was completely each person choice. Food was in with the price which was very good. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who is looking at this trip.

Excellent tour with great guides both on journey and at nine mile. Lunch was an unnecessary addition as by that point we were only 5 mins from hotel and quality was not the best. Would have preferred to skip lunch and paid slightly less for the tour

This trip was fabulous however the only thing that let it down was we couldn’t hear the guide when she was talking about the history on the journey. She was sat at the front of the bus and we were at the back, she didn’t have a mic and with the noise of the bus it was difficult to hear anything she was saying. Perhaps a guide sheet might be helpful or a mic would be much better. Other than that the tour itself was amazing. “Rambo” our guide at 9 Mile was fabulous and extremely well informed.

Could not recommend at all. Driver was great, tui guide was obnoxious at first however coming to the end of the trip when tips were due she was so friendly! Lunch was okay but service slow. Pushed into shack on arrival to be sold weed this should be optional to smokers . 9 mile was rushed the group was too big being 32ppl. Guide was rude and aggressive when a couple walked off. The guide was not happy with the tip , after the drop off and kissed her teeth to express her dissatisfaction , which was rude. I assume you would remain professional whatever money people give to you. She was also a little pushy in obtaining money for some goods although saying she would stop off at an ATM. Too much pressure to buy things , which I understand. Other than that an enjoyable experience George the driver was very knowledgeable and entertaining

Amazing our guide Kevin very funny and knowledgeable the 9 mile guide was fantastic couldn't of ask for a better person he explained everything perfectly, but at the same time was hilarious the only thing that wasn't to our liking was the meal on way home, thought our hotel jerk chicken was better would highly recommend this tour would give it 20 out of 10 if could that's how fantastic it was.

The overall trip was enjoyable. The guide on the tour bus was rude at times. I think it was overpriced and the lunch stop was basically end of your tour virtually at the hotels headed in the opposite direction to pull up at a roadside outside diner to be served with a plate or rice and a bbq pork with a drink of some sort of weak juice. Expensive.

Nine Mile tour & Captain Crazy was fabulous - we really enjoyed that part of the experience. However Marcia the tour guide was condescending, rude & not at all interested in customer satisfaction. The tour was meant to be a 7:45 pick up and a half day tour. We got to Nine Mile at 12, left at 2pm and finally ate at 3pm then back to our hotel at 5:30pm exhausted. At the rest stop I asked why we were so late & when we’d be eating etc. Marcia was very rude in her response. I have made a complaint

I want to make a formal complaint about the treatment on this experience. The reps at the hotel told me it’s basically how Jamaica is but as my partner is Jamaican and went on this tour too, it is pure exploitation. The tour stops at an official stop, the guide telling you it’s the only place to get souvenirs and to use card not cash. On route to 9mile at which the driver drove way over the speed limit consistently, the guide takes you to another unofficial stop and pressurised you to buy.

Die Tour war interessant. Man bekommt sehr viele Informationen nur leider gibt es die Tour nur auf Englisch. Das war schade da wir nicht immer alles verstanden haben. The tour was good at the start, tour guide was explaining and showing us around Jamaica on the coach trip, we was then told to get off the coach and go into a wooden shack thing where one was trying to encourage us to buy cannabis. The man doing the tour on Bobs life made us tip him making you feel very uncomfortable not to. We was led into souvenir shops by TUI tour guide and just left us to be hassled into buying things then stopped for lunch the chicken was freezing and the service was awful.

Our tour guide Kevin was fantastic, you can tell he has a real passion for the job and made sure everyone was catered to. We had a lot of retired people in our group and Kevin did his very best to give them a phenomenal experience. The only downside was the excessive requests for tips on the Bob Marley tour. The tour itself is expensive and before we even get there we've probably tipped at least 4 people. It would make the experience more pleasurable if you don't pressure people to tip.

The guide Odett was very informative and made the trip very interesting our driver Dalton was brilliant on roads suited for a rally , we stopped off on route for a rest break and shop , once at 9 Mile the guide inside the experience was brilliant and knew his stuff ( I’m reading Bob’s book) yes you are offered smoke and other ganja items but there was no pressure to buy, please note if your British most people in Jamaica smoke it, had a jerk meal included , we loved the whole experience

Expected to be hassled as per previous review. We were not harassed or hassled at any point. Don't miss it because of the poor reviews. It was a lengthy bus journey but worth the effort. We were certainly offered ganga, but there was no pressure at all. Our guide on the bus was very friendly and informative, and the 9 Mile tour guide was a hoot. Reminded to tip at the end of the trip, but that was it, and not unreasonable.

The experience was very good however the first toilet stop was totally inadequate. There was no running water or toilet flush. A women was going around with a bucket of water drawn from a tap and was throwing the water over our hands to wash them and down the toilet to flush them. She then went around wiping the seats with one cloth. Apart from that the tour of nine miles was very good, the guide was fantastic had excellent knowledge of Bob Marley and how his life was told in his music.

Very informative trip starting with bus guide & driver, arrived at the village, given a tour guide and enjoyed the whole afternoon, although it js not a trip for anyone with poor mobility, alot of steps & slopes to reach the mausoleum at the top of 9 miles. Lovely lunch included. Would recommend to others.

I enjoyed learning about Bob Marley and the culture. I didn't like the fact the bus guide moved people around but still my husband was right at the back of the bus on his own. There were free seats at the front but we're kept for later passengers. Also the guide at nine mile was very rude and intimidating telling at us all and telling us off all the time.

This is a great trip - our driver ‘Big Daddy’ and our guide ‘Little Mama’ were both knowledgeable, friendly and very engaging and approachable. We felt blessed and very safe throughout. Yes - you are subjected to the ‘local’ sales pitch when you first arrive at 9 Mile but you take your choice with no pressure. Gift shop tho expensive. The guide was 45 min late so it didn’t start well. The bus was packed with middle seats being put in. Not all chairs had seat belts. Drive drove like a madman. Don’t go if poor mobility. The driver was fantastic. The lunch was not great but a million times better than the lunch during the YS falls/Black River tour. The big problem was they expected, I would even say agressively demanded, a tip for something at every stage of the tour so by the end nobody had any small bills left. Why can't they just have a general tip box at the end of the tour. This issue spoilt the entire trip for me (and a number of others on the tour I might add). Sorry, you asked for feedback, I gave it.

But we were really sad to hear the minimum wage in Jamaica is only about $90 a week, we pay alot of money for these holidays to Tui and Riu, it is a shame that the money does not get passed on, we pay for Jamaican wages twice, once in our fare and then again in tips. Coach arrived late 8am pick and arrived at destination at 10.30.....guide on bus was good and informative . Guide at 9 mile good but was a bit pushy to get a tip afterwards .... place its self was interesting and worth a visit. Meal was served about 2pm as we had the long drive back to civilisation before we got to the restaurant food was nice but a bit rushed then all back on bus for the short drive to hotels ....nice day out after the disappointment of having another trip cancelled by tui .

Der Ort selber ist zu einem überaus kommerziellen und weit vom ursprünglichen Gedanken-letzte RUHESTÄTTE von Bob Marley- weg weiter „entwickelt“, das heisst meiner Meinung nach eher entfremdet und verdorben. Vor 20 Jahren war es noch das, was es sein sollte: friedlich und „natural Mystic“, im Sinne von Bob. Schade

Not an experience I would recommend doing with young children. Although it is part of the culture the exposure to marijuana is extremely high. Not a smoker myself, I was feeling the effects of secondary smoke for a while after returning to the hotel. Nothing against anyone's own desires to partake but felt like I had done without wanting to.

the tui guide was not informative at all . she never gave any indication of times or itinerary of the trip , it took 2 hours to collect people from 2 hotels then go to a tacky souvenir shop . absolutely no need for this stop which was literally 5 miles away. The long drive didn’t need to be made any longer!!!! the bus was very small , some seatbelts didn’t work . a small child didn’t have a seat belt . she told the family they wasn’t insured because he didn’t want to sit down .

Travel time wasn't indicated that it would be five hours. Guide lied about being able to take bottles on the plane when they had to go in luggage. Lunch was included but we didn't get this til 3pm, there were three diabetics in our party. Your description says half a day when it's a full day. At a souvenir shop we paid way over the price for items they assured we wouldn't get cheaper elsewhere, the guide was in cahoots with the shop. If you need further info please contact us.

Everything was great on the tour really interesting to learn about Bob Marley and see his resting place. When it was time to leave.the guide appeared to get annoyed and not let people leave unless they tipped him. We always tip but there was a strong expectation and the guide certainly expected it. Some people in the tour had no money left after buying local ingredients in the smoking tour and this was uncomfortable to see and could be quite intimidating

Onderweg naar Nine Miles werd er veel verteld over wat er onderweg allemaal te zien was. Dit was erg interessant. Het ging ook (onnodig) veel over het kopen en roken van wiet. Dit vonden wij minder… De eerste stop bij het winkeltje vonden wij wat overbodig. Het personeel is erg opdringerig en het kostte veel tijd. Eenmaal in Nine Miles aangekomen kregen wij een super leuke rondleiding van een hele leuke, enthousiaste gids. Er was genoeg tijd om rond te kijken en foto’s te maken.

I enjoyed the tour, but was disappointed with how rushed it was. Also, it’s quite expensive, so being told “no pictures” was really disappointing as the point of our visit was to enjoy the experience and be able to take pictures of all areas, so my husband and I could enjoy the memories of our honeymoon.

The Nile Mile tour was very informative the guide and driver gave great information about local culture and life enroute. The lunch stop at the end was less than a mile from returning to our hotel. The jerk chicken was dry and no choice on drinks.

Fantastic trip with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Our driver was so fantastic, the roads are not the best and at times the traffic was very busy. It was a long day but well worth it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about visiting.

I enjoy hearing of the life of Bob,from his birth until his passing at the pinnacle of his career, very interesting to hear of his poor upbringing, and because of the love of music he turned his life around and became one of the most famous song writer and singer before his career was cut short by his unfortunate death, what I didn't like is that we wasn't informed before hand that we will be walking around barefoot during part of the tour

Die Besichtigung des Geburtshauses von Bob Marley war sehr eindrucksvoll. Der Guide hatte eine sehr humorvolle Art, Marley's Geschichte zu erzählen. Es gab Live Musik, und wer wollte, konnte sich Cannabis in nur jeder erdenklichen Verarbeitung kaufen. Störend und überflüssig fand ich den Zwischenstopp in einem Gift Shop auf der Hinfahrt. Und das Jerk Chicken zum Lunch war extrem trocken, der Reis verkocht - schade, gibt's woanders erheblich besser!

It took a very long time to get there and a very long time to get back. Lunch was nice but we did not get it until 3.30pm… it was supposed to be a half day experience and it took 9 hours. The guide and driver were great. The Bob Marley experience itself was worth doing but it would have been nice to wander around by ourselves too.

We had read lots of reviews beforehand and some were negative and some not. It was an enjoyable, knowledgeable and friendly excursion, from being collected from our hotel to the friendly and extremely funny tour guide. I would reccomend taking a few dollars for tips.

Captain crazy our guide is crazy but knowledgeable. For any fan of BM thus is a must and goes hand in hand with the Kingston tour. There were too many at the same time in the same place so when visiting the church and the mausoleum at nine mile it was difficult to get the picture without other people being in it.

Definitely not half a day excursion we got picked up at 07.05 didn't get dropped off back at our hotel until 6pm few pick ups on the way which we expected stopped at a gift shop on the way the travelling is far to long it was good to see Bob marleys House but lots of steps so not for people with mobility problems and it says lunch included which was expecting about 12 as had no breakfast due to early pickup didn't get lunch until 3.30 pm expensive trip for what it was

We really enjoyed the Nine Mile tour! I had read reviews before going and was quite skeptical but we had so much fun and felt very safe! Our guide Barky was great and informed us of so many interesting things about Bob Marley and his family! It’s a smoking tour too so expect lots of people smoking around you which was fine but I definitely felt stoned at times HA. We had lunch after at Scotchies which was good too! I wouldn’t recommend this tour for kids though due to all the smoking.

The Americans spoilt the holiday especially at the weekends when they turned up for long weekends and acted like animals whilst in resort. The room was great though as well as the service. It has made me look carefully at RIU hotels to see if there is mention of nightly shows or fitness by the pool or a Pasha nightclub as I would steer clear in future.

Loved bobs culture and his house etc but what we didn’t like was stopping off and thinking we had a good deal in the liquor store when in fact we were ripped off…got to bobs house to much trying to sell gaunga to us and everything thing else we were asked to buy. We paid enough for the tour. All money making.

The tour of Bob Marley’s house & seeing resting place was amazing to see. The journey to nine mile wasn’t so bad as the guide pointed out key locations on route, however the way back took almost two hour to get to the restaurant for ‘lunch’ (at 15:30) then another hour & a half afterwards to get dropped off at hotel. It was such a long day for only getting about an hour at the house. I don’t think stopping at the restaurant is necessary. Everyone just wanted to get back to their hotels!

Our tour guide Trinity was great and the driver was lovely. Most of the locals were friendly but a couple got too intense insisting we buy weed. We expected this but not to the level it was and they would not take no for an answer. We had to give them money just to leave us alone.

We enjoyed the Bob Marley tour but didn't like the 4 hours it took us to get there. We stopped at a building site as a comfort stop, this had very poor toilets and we had to wait for over an hour for the bus to go and pick, up from 2 more hotels withno shade to sit in. When we got to the tour it was good, then we set off and got lunch at 3pm, which was pork or chicken and dry rice in a cardboard box with a plastic spoon and one drink. We left the hotel at 7:45 in the morning and returned at 5:30

Just be aware that as soon as you depart the bus at Nine Mile High, they are wanting you to have a joint with them. This also happens around the tour. Overall the tour was excellent

Die manchmal halsbrecherische Fahrt durch die Berge war ein besonderes Erlebnis, Captain Crazy, unser Guide in Nine Miles auch. Es war sehr interessant, was wir über Bob Marley und die Rastafaris erfuhren. Nur das Essen auf der Rückfahrt war nicht ganz so toll.

The tour guide was very good and informative of the local fauna and flora. The site itself was very interesting but much more commercial now than on my previous visit. Felt ripped off the the bar man who from the bar sign showed a 'free alcohol shot' but $10US dollars if you want the glass. We declined but we then harrrassed for $20US dollars for 2 shot glasses that cost only 2 dollars in the local shop.

The tip was informative, enjoyable and fun. Our guide was very pleasant and gave us lots of information. Together with our driver they stopped to collect different leaves for us to see/smell talking to us about the plants and their uses whilst on the journey there and back. Visiting Bob Marley’s house and resting place was incredible and agin our tour guide for this section was excellent.

The guide in the nine mile was brilliant he made the trip hilarious his name was captain mad and made us laugh throughout the whole tour . The trip would have been better off returning to the hotel straight after the tour rather than going for food as this just wasted time going out of our way the food wasn't very good.

Transfer super. Pünktlich, zuverlässig, sichere Fahrer. Guides: Sehr freundlich, zuverlässig und auch sehr offen Tour: sehr intressant, die Menschen versuchen natürlich zu verkaufen, sind aber in keinsterweise aufdringlich. Die Guides vor Ort sind sehr freundlich auch etwas verrückt aber auf eine sehr liebenswerte weise. Sie haben auch viel Humor, es gibt auch immer was zu lachen. Das Mosoleum ist sehr eindrucksvoll allgemein sehr schön gemacht. Uns hat es sehr gefallen. Ps. Smoking Tour??

Good guide and an excellent driver. Interesting tour of the mountains and Bob Marleys house and grave. Marijuana is on sale (it's legal). Reps should mention possible health issues, particularly if you have a heart condition.

The tour was very good however TUI’s organisation of it was very poor. We had a 8.40am pick up which turned into a 10.10am pick up when we got pushed back as there was more bums than seats. TUI had taken on more bookings than were available and they had to get another coach to divert and pick us up which resulted in the delay. If we knew beforehand not a problem as wouldn’t have needed to be ready quite as early . The tour when there was great and Barky the guide knew his stuff.

The tour was very rushed. My friend had difficulty walking up the hill. There were too many on the tour and by the time we caught up the guide was moving on, so we missed what he was saying and came away from the tour not knowing much more. Lunch was also very late and people were so hungry I was sharing food I had brought with them. We found all the trips we booked with TUI lunch was served in the middle of the afternoon and when you have an early pick up people were hungry.

The tour of 9 miles was great and really interesting, would recommend to any one interested in Bob Marley, our guide during the tour was excellent! However, unfortunately we couldn't give this 10/10 as there were points that overshadowed this for us. We were aware that we would be offered a certain drug, however were pushed by the tour guide & had to keep walking away. There was way too much messing about so the day was longer than it was advertised and the food at lunch was awful

We’ve done this tour before so knew what to expect. Didn’t expect to be taken to a bar away from the house first to be (what felt like) forced into being sold weed. Fully aware of where I was, but there was a child on our tour and no choice given into being taken there. Then was being intimidated when we said we didn’t want any. Journey home was too far, seems like we went all the way around to go for a meal that wasn’t needed. Trip should be advertised as a full day!

The tour was good however you need to put on the app that is is more than a half a day tour as we were picked up at 8.40am and didn't get back until 5pm so this is a full day trip. Also the mini bus we were on wasn't very comfy for the length of time we were on it and it was leaking from the radiator and smoke was coming from the air conditioning. I felt quite unsafe in this as did other passengers.

Stop off at gift shop unnecessarily. As is the lunch which was poor. You would rather get back to the hotel for lunch. Being taken to a marijuana product presentation was uncomfortable. No choice to go or not. Tour was good though. Our guide captain crazy certainly lived up to his name. He was as high as a kite but you couldn’t help laugh at his crazy jokes.

Absolutely loved this trip as a fan of Bob Marley! En route you get to see the real Jamaican life & the guide (Cheryl) gave us loads of information about Jamaica on the way pointing out things plus stopping for photos. At the foundation the Jamaican guides are really funny & entertaining again with facts & information up to the Marleys resting place. If you’re a Bob Marley fan this trip is a must. Also a spot of lunch & drink provided towards the end of the tour.

Excellent tour guide, fantastic history and culture discussed throughout the journey. The tour was very busy but interesting and it was amazing to see Bob Marley’s place of birth and resting place. Lots of fabulous photo opportunities! The only aspect of the trip that we wouldn’t recommend is listening to the guide’s advice on purchasing ‘ganja’ from a local. Some participants purchased this for $25 a smoke and $25 a tea, which was extremely expensive.

De rit naar Nine Miles is heel leuk en een mooie omgeving. Nine Miles zelf is druk en de mensen daar zijn alleen bezig met jou zo snel mogelijk rond te leiden, van alles te verkopen en weer naar buiten te krijgen (lees een dikke fooi te ontvangen) want er staat alweer een andere groep te wachten. Het is totaal niet relaxed en niet in de geest van Bob Marley. Het is wel heel bijzonder om er te zijn en zo dicht bij Bob. Het is wat mij betreft zeker een must om te doen en de moeite waard.

The guide and driver were fantastic, very knowledgeable, fun and attentive. They stopped at several areas on the way and told us about the foliage that grows wild (mint, mixed spices, as well as the marijuana of course) that we pay a lot of money for. They told us about the schools and ages of education. It was just really informative and fun! We had our 8 year old daughter with us too and when the drug offering happened they weee not pushing and she was protected from it! Poor Jamaica and their roads is the only thing I would change!

Enjoyed the trip, I wouldn't have felt safe going to nine mile without a tour guide, but once inside all was well, if you don't like people smoking weed don't go. The time we spent at nine mile wasn't rushed and could take in all we needed. The lunch stop was nice but not sure about the gift shop stop. Op zich was het leuke tour, alleen kregen we niet wat beloofd was. Volgens beschrijving van de tour zouden we naar een rivival kerk gaan en een dienst bijwonen vol voorouderlijke gebruiken. Daar zijn we niet geweest en is ook niks over gezegd. Dat was voor ons de reden ok de tour te boeken. Ook de lunch zou in een jerkcentre zijn en ook dat was niet. Hebben lunch gehad, maar daar kwam geen jerk aan te pas. Erg jammer, want we hebben bijna 300 euro betaald aan een tour die niet doet wat beloofd is.

On the positive side, the driver and guide were very good. The drive into the countryside was pleasant with a number of stops to pick wild plants and herbs. The site itself was a little commercialized. One or two of the guides at the site looked a little worse for wear!

The beach here is fantastic and I love how most of the rooms seem to overlook it. I think as it’s a very large complex and the restaurants on offer, whilst very good, didn’t seem geared up to cater for such a large capacity day in/day out in comparison to other Riu properties, the breakfasts were always amazing but by dinner it all seemed a little repetitive and underwhelming. We still had a fantastic holiday though and would and have recommended it. Staff are lovely and friendly and the complex is extremely clean and tidy.

The bus turned up 15 minutes late with no acknowledgement or apology, but the guide and driver were great from that point onwards. I particularly have to praise Gregory for his careful driving in some hairy situations! I also learnt a lot about Jamaica en route. The Bob Marley tour itself was a little rushed. After such a long journey to get there, I wanted to look around at leisure, but we were ushered in and out quickly - on to the next thing (more tour groups were hot on our heels) "Captain Crazy" was quite fun, but would go off on tangents and talk to groups separately, before other people had caught up to the new room / building. It would be much better to talk to everyone in a group, then allow us to explore the various buildings afterwards and have time to do photos etc properly. He was also a little too over keen to collect tips at the end, holding his hand out at the gate. Lunch at Scotchies was nice, though again a little rushed. Some were served more quickly than others, but everyone had to be ready to go back on the bus at the same time. It would be nice to have a fish option for those who don't eat chicken or pork. The vegetables were nice, but not as good value as the meat options.

Half Day coach trip to 9 Mile - collected on time, drove up into the mountains to 9 Mile, had a tour of Bob Marley's former house which was good, although I visited in 2007 and it is much more commercialised now than it was back then. After the tour we went to Scotchies for lunch which was very poor - as usual on trips in Kamaica lunch is always Jerk Chicken or Pork with Rice and Beans, the chicken was very dry with just bones (no breast), no flavour to the rice & beans, when we got back on the coach we were asked how we enjoyed the famous Scotchies sauce - no sauce was served! We got back to the hotel after 4pm which is longer than a half day tour

Overall we enjoyed it, but there are a few things you need to be aware of going into it, as follows: We were picked up from our Hotel and taken straight for a "rest stop" which was a gift shop no more than 5 mins drive away. Totally unnecessary and clearly an arrangement with the shop to bring tourists in. The stuff they had was average and fairly expensive, and someone follows you around the shop the whole time. From there it is a 1.5 hour drive up to Nine Mile along mountain roads which are quite windy and bumpy, but no big deal. This part of the tour was enjoyable as the guide talked to us about the towns we were passing through and some interesting facts about the island and way of life in Jamaica - this was really rewarding as it felt like we saw some authentic Jamaican life. On arrival at Nine Mile, before entering the Bob Marley museum, our guide shepherded us towards a guy selling weed and various weed-related products. No pressure to buy but it felt a bit uncomfortable if, like us, you're not into that. Some folk went for it and bought joints and hash cakes etc - more on that later. The Bob Marley tour was decent and we enjoyed it, but don't go expecting a high-quality 'museum' experience. The reality is a few small buildings, some original and some newer, and a guy called Captain Crazy taking you around telling you a disjointed version of Bob's life story, while cracking jokes and generally acting like an exaggerated Rasta caricature. We liked him and thought he was funny, but as an informative and credible tour guide not the best. At the end you go to Bob's mausoleum, where he is laid to rest with his brother and his mum. Captain Crazy then takes you to a little church and conducts a service, which given his antics up until that point were hard to take seriously. Seemed a bit of a random addition. After the tour it was back on the bus for another 1.5 hours to go for a jerk chicken lunch along VERY bumpy and windy roads back down the mountain. At this point one of the family who had earlier indulged in all the weed products proceeded to puke all over himself. However, what really annoyed us was this journey was in the opposite direction to the hotel, and we stopped at a bang-average roadside chicken place which was not even on a par with the jerk hut at our hotel. We were the only people in there, and the weed family all pretty much passed out at their table. This left ANOTHER 1.5 hours back to the hotel, which by that point was just a killer journey and felt like a massive waste of time. In the end we're glad we went because it was an experience, we got out of the hotel and saw some stuff which we were grateful for, and felt some connection to Bob Marley afterwards, which at the end of the day is what it was all about. But if you're going to do it, go into it with your eyes open as per the above. Yeah man :)

This is our third time at the Ocho Rios and we throughly enjoyed our stay. The food was beautiful, we didn’t go in any of the other restaurants like the Steakhouse or the Mandaley, as the food was so good in the self serve restaurant everything was tasty and the soups and desserts delicious. The only thing that stopped us giving you 10 out of 10 was the Sports Bar, it should renamed The Nasty Bar as the barmen in the Sports Bar can be very rude and quiet nasty during the late shift 8 -11 Your hotel rep Amaril was fantastic really helpful lady

The tour guild never really said anything on the bus needs more training. And the replacement driver after we dropped off the first one at the hospital which we hope he is OK by the way. But the second driver must have got his licence from a cereal box. My partner had to close her eyes she was that scared from the speed to the unsafe and absolutely pointless over taking manoeuvres. 9 miles it's self was great and the guild at 9 miles was amazing we was looking at more trips but this has put us off

Tour was great but the coach was too small. The seats weren't big enough for 2 adults which made the trip very uncomfortable especially as the roads were very bumpy.

Amazing tour. Bob marleys is worth it !! Also our bus driver George and hostess Iona made the tour they were BRILLIANT! Loved them

amazing a must do trip i didn't do or buy any of the
weed as medically unable to but actually cried at end of tour after our guide captain crazy did the rasta pray in the church
on way back we stopped at scothies and had jerk chicken which i highly recommend
