The guide on the bus was such fun and she was very knowledgeable about Jamaica and we learned a lot. The driver was nice too. The guide at Dunns river was nice too and he helped us when needed.

Enjoyed from start to end guide on the bus was very knowledgeable and friendly driver very good and felt safe I should have taken a change of clothes to change into instead of sitting in wet clothes back, you definitely need water shoes as they are the safest on the slippery rocks

The whole tour was excellent. Very informative and vibrant guide and photographer. Our group probably needed to be smaller or have an extra guide as a few were struggling and were over looked. A refreshment option to finish would be welcomed rather than being rushed off back to the hotel/ resorts.

I think Downs River Falls is quite a good place to go but it gets overcrowded. I think there need to be smaller groups going up within 15 minutes of each other. That is the only thing I can find fault with.

Dunns river its self was lovely. However the way TUI run the tour really ruins the day.1st the bus there U r made to go to a shop & told that u cant go in any other shop, when inside u r force fed products the shop was not ran by Jamaicans I Was told I couldn’t wear crocs an made 2 buy water shoes there. Turns out u can wear crocs. When at dunns it feels rushed ur made to go with a guide that insists you give a tip despite signs saying you do not have to. No chance to relax on beach there

I felt there was way to many people on the guided tour and you was waiting around a bit on the sides of the river and under a bridge. The sides should have some sort of railings or a rope to help with climb as ut can be difficult at bits.

It was a wonderful experience climbing up through the waterfalls. The guides were brilliant. Didn’t enjoy so much the shop we were dropped at briefly though as felt like we had no choice but to purchase the products.

I felt that the description was misleading as it describes the falls as an easy climb when in fact it was extremely challenging in places. It was amazing saying that but my friend who is 72 was unable to do the climb so was just waiting around. I feel It could be cheaper for people that are just wanting to spectate. Overall a really worthwhile visit!

It was definitely alot harder than we originally thought . However we would definitely recommend Dunns River . I believe our guide was called Randy & he was amazing & very helpful . The video & photos are absolutely worth every penny (40 US Dollars)

My guide Milton was Brilliant and made sure to guide us as to where to step to ensure our safety. This made the climb so much more smooth and relax. From the cashier to the security guard was very professional and friendly. Our videographer was also very friendly although a bit impatient. It would be helpful next time to cater the video and photo package to give customers the option of having just the pictures without the video but overall would recommend..

The Dunn’s river falls themselves were lovely. However, the tour operator chose to pick up from hotels meaning a 80 minute drive ended up being close to 180 minutes. The trip offered no food or drink, because of the pick up / drop off it was a 7 hour trip. The stop at a rip off tat shop was a disgrace. The tour operator was clearly receiving some sort of commission from them, the goods on sale were absolute tat and very overpriced. We were left waiting in the baking sun for over 1/2 hour.

Pick up from hotel was poor.Originally for 09.45 am.Early morning phone call at 07.30am telling me trip was now at 09am!. Kept waiting.pick up didnt arrive until 09.15am. Guide on coach was from chukka.she was loud ,abrasive and talked at 100 miles an hour..as if she was on speed!.No TUI rep..you outsourced! coach provided was awful and old. However once at Dunns falls different guide professional and calm.The falls were a delight.

Once you arrive you are clearly told by the guide who takes you that they want a tip! If you don’t have cash on you then they will follow you to the bus and demand a tip. There are signs stating you don’t have to dip, however this is not the case. The whole experience is spoilt by pressures to buy photos and the walk back to the bus is through shops where you are hassled continuously to the point if you don’t buy anything and say no thank you they get quite abusive

Great trip although they take you to one shop if you have no water shoes. Rep said you can't buy them there or the phone case. You could and they were cheaper. They just wanted you to buy things in the shop like rum, cake, cigars, shirts which were all more expensive. Photographer was brilliant and guides were helping us up. Wish we could have had a few hrs on the beach afterwards as we were taken right back. Worth the trip to go and see it and climb up

We were told we could wear crocks, to then be told on the journey there we could not, stopped at a shop on the way where we had to purchase water shoes!! The guide was no where to be seen once we started to climb! It was an amazing experience and would recommend it, I would just say buy your water shoes from a local shop, much cheaper

Falls lovely and beach looked nice. We were waiting for a guide to take our group up the falls for a while and when he did appear he seem to leave everyone to fend for themselves and only help one lady and her son, so the group was massively seperated

Guide could not be heard on bus. Faced front, noisy bus, not loud enough Guide did not give any details of leaving times for shop visit. People sat on bus indefinitely waiting whilst others pottered about in shop Guide did not give departure time or details for return journey. We headed straight back to bus and felt late. No time to have snack or drink at falls 6 pick ups on way. Journey to falls 3 hours, rep said 1 and 1/2 hour!! Disappointing day. Mostly spent on bus. Not a ‘half day trip’

bus was quite late and no rep about to advise but the bus guide Kevin kept as amused and informed on the 1.5 hour trip to the falls. Definitely not for anyone unfit as the two guides, though really good, weren’t enough for the 20 people in the group as we climbed the fall with a strong current of water against you and the challenge of keeping your footing on the slippery rocks or navigating a deep area. Not for the elderly as stated and a challenge for a fit 70 year old. You need water shoes!

A very enjoyable day out, except for Falls guides that followed us out to our bus, determined to get a cash tip, even bringing a card machine with them. Unluckily for them they were sent on their way with no reward, but were very menacing in their attitude.

The staff on the bus clued us up on the locals we knew what to expect the staff on the actual Dunn’s river waterfall supported the elderly people and encouraged the younger ones to get more involved the driver made sure we got home safe the staff that actually interacted with us were very professional

The whole experience was very well organised. The mini bus arrived early and we were greeted warmly by our fabulous guide. She was very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. The falls were amazing and very well organised. It would have been nice to have a little more time afterwards to explore the beach and take pictures. The Falls guide and photographer were brilliant.

The falls itself were spectacular which you must see. However, please use water shoes as you literally walk through the falls. You need to be very careful where you walk but the guide helps out with this, he was brilliant and kept me safe. If you fear heights then give this a miss.

Essentially, if staying in the Ocho Rios area, you are paying £30 for a short ride to the falls. The falls are spectacular, but suggest just getting a taxi. This isn’t a tour, just a bus to the falls and back with very limited time there.

It's only 20 US dollars for an entry ticket. A taxi to Dunns River from our hotel is 40 US dollars return. Total 80 US dollars. TUI charged us 132 US dollars! Huge mark-up. Nobody mentioned there are Changing Rooms available. Or that you can walk up the Falls by yourself. The Driver told us to wait for a Guide. This cost 40 US dollars.

I really enjoyed this trip. It was a short distance from the hotel I was staying at, about a 5-10 minute drive. George, the driver was courteous and gave directions about what to expect and how to deal with craft sellers, which was useful. The TUI staff at the hotel was helpful and able to sort out my ticket which I booked through the TUI app. However, for some excursions the driver may need a printout or screenshot of the ticket for entrance. I think this info needs to be clearer.

The experience itself was fantastic and we were super lucky it wasn’t a cruise ship day so the falls were quieter than usual. We still had to keep stopping and waiting though for groups infront to move onwards, smaller groups with bigger gaps would be better. Our guide on the bus was great at pointing out sights enroute, as well as keeping us entertained. What we didn’t like was the pushy sales-people on exit, trying to get you to buy souvenirs and the staff waiting at the bus for us to tip them

It was a very enjoyable event, there were some groups of people and our guide made sure we all stayed together. They were very safety conscious. We held hands everyone helped each other. Pedro was our guide and was very clear and helpful. Lionel took the videos and photos and was entertaining too. The instructions on the day could have mentioned that there would be waterproof phone camera cases available to buy. Although I would have been worried about losing it. ??.

Loved this trip! The price gets you transport into the falls with a guide and entry. Lockers are $10US whilst you’re there and there are plenty of places to eat and drink on the site. Guides are good fun and the bus driver was excellent and very knowledgable. All round an excellent trip.

Dunn’s river is a must do. The tour guide and driver, Kevin and Delroy were excellent and kept a long journey there interesting. Then our guide up the falls was amazing nothing was too much trouble for him. You have to walk through a craft market to exit but they didn’t hassle us too much. Overall one of the best trips we have been on.

The cost requires review - based on jumping into a taxi, paying at the attraction and then feeling unhurried to enjoy the other facilities at the attraction is far more attractive than the TUI excursion. We were kept waiting prior to entry for an extended period to complete personal details and receive entry armbands, all of which could have been completed in advance. Due to this delay, our time in the attraction was reduced due to the tight 2 hour return to coach time limit. Guide staff were ??

Did not like the market stall sellers and all the others dotted around trying to scam tourists! They are rude if you say no! I only walked up the side & was quite capable of doing so myself but someone who I presumed was staff said to me he would guide me through. But he then wanted money for this and it was literally just walking up the stairs! The beach & falls itself are absolutely stunning. Tour guide took us to very expensive shop saying it was cheapest on island, as all the guides do!!

Super impressed with the tour guide kevin he told us a bit of Jamaican history as we travelled to our destination and actually took the time out to get to know all our names which added to our experience. Guide didn’t turn up to collect us and TUI refusing refund despite us being at pick up point early. Would recommend booking with someone else as the Dunn’s tour is very good, just a shame TUI guide didn’t collect us. We booked with JTL Jamaica tours and they were excellent.

The whole experience was nice had a great time at Dunn river falls.The group felt let down because we didn’t get any time to spend on the beach only 1hr to climb the falls from the time we got there. Also there was an additional wait time for a tour guide to pick us up at Dunn river before starting the climb,which took time away from our driver and guide 1hr allocation time to be picked up.

Like - The water falls itself are terrific and good fun to climb - guide both on the bus and at the attraction we’re very engaging and friendly. Dislike - price really expensive for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids aged 16] - just over £222 for effectively 4 hours, 3 of which are travelling and 30 mins stopping off at a shop which wasn’t appreciated. It took us 3.5 hours to get there (on maps it was 1.5 hours from hotel). We were made to stop off at a random shop on the way there which felt unnecessary as we paid to see the Falls, not shop. It also felt that this was purely to scam us into spending money, as we were told by the person in the shop that we had to buy water shoes from there as they “wouldn’t let us in otherwise” (this was completely false!). Dunn’s waterfall itself was good, our guide was lovely. Shame the transport let it down

The tour was amazing, worth the money and time. Picked up from runaway bay and takes roughly 30 minutes to get to the falls - we had a mixed tour (others going shopping) so stopped at Gem Palace so that tour could get out and allowed anyone who didn’t have water shoes or waterproof phone cases to buy from the shop. The tour and guide itself at Dunns River Falls was amazing and I would do it again! They have lockers for valuables $8-10 cash. Recommend to buy photos at the end (card or cash).

Howard our guide was really good. He brought alot of fun to the climb. Plenty of people to help you climb. The exit was difficult to navigate as it directed us through the market where you were getting hassled to buy. We eventually found the exit after many twists and turns!

Enjoyed Dunns very much, our guide MJ and videographer Ricardo were awesome. Highly recommend and a must do activity whilst in Jamaica. The mini market area on the way out can be intimidating for some but just make it clear you’re not interested if you’re not. Tips are appreciated too.

Enjoyed our Dunns river experience but did think the group size per guide on the falls was too big a group. This meant at times the rest of the group was way ahead, and you sometimes got mingled in with other groups who were also in the same spot. The falls are very busy and it did feel a bit rushed with no time to enjoy it but overall still glad to have done it.

Fantastic location, our tour guide Denise was very good, gave us loads of local information about Montego Bay and how to careful with the locals at the craft market, the guide on the waterfalls was amazing, always making sure everyone was safe and the photo guy was helpful too, would recommend the photos and video as a keepsake all in all a really good excursion

Very expensive for the hour spent at the falls. The photographer at the falls was too much in your face and very pushy trying to sell. The 2.5 hours on the bus picking people up from loads of hotels was a down point made this a very long day trip instead of the morning expected

being dropped at a tourist shop so that the rep/driver could earn a commission from the sales at shop and numbering all the people going into the shop, the shop then charging more than the ticket price of the item was clearly the commission to rep and driver, whilst they drove off to pick up one last pickup. delayed the journey and thus return time to hotel. we paid for the trip so if the driver and rep not paid enough reflect it in the ticket price.

Really enjoyed our trip to Dunn River Falls. Took about 6.5 hours in total, door to door from Riu Palace, stopping at a few other hotels on the way. Tour guide was amazing and really enjoyed the whole experience. Only downfall was people trying to sell you things on the way out. Our guide told us they will tell you something is free and then come to the bus to charge you which was a great heads up. Others in our group went back to the bus with the guide and didn’t get badgered.

What we found with this trip, it was over subscribed and extremely busy, walking up the water fall holding hands when it was so busy very dangerous, it was hard to find safe places to rest as there were so many other groups in front of you and coming up behind. I think TUI should offer this trip earlier in the day or later in the day to avoid to many people on the water fall at any one time or the guides should wait for the group in front to reach the a certain points before setting off

Our tour guide did a good job going to the attraction but on the ride back she did not interact with us at all. The driver was rather unfriendly. Wasn’t going to let us back on the van because he didn’t want the seats wet….when you are at an attraction where you get wet it is hard to stay dry. I had a towel but it was rather damp as well. He said he had to go the airport after he dropped us off. maybe have an extra towel or 2 along or put something on the seats. Other than that, the tour was goo

Dunns falls it's self was great. rep was talking so fast and had a job hearing. Couldn't work out why we drove past site to go to a shop to buy water shoes and waterproof phone cases wasting 40mins.tickect actually tells you to bring them. And they sell them there. We're rushed off bus told to leave bags and towels on bus. Pointed out rest rooms but went straight by. We were left to our own devices when we reached the falls. Our guide didn’t accompany us to the falls and did not explain where we should go or what would be involved. The falls themselves are very impressive but the potential dangers need to be made clearer, especially as they are not suitable for people with less mobility/ fitness.

We stopped at a shop beforehand under the guise to get changed for the experience but this was just a way to try to flog us stuff & was out of our way to get there. Was unnecessary. The actual event was great, fun, entertaining, the guides full of life to get you in the vibe, a great attraction. The down side was the half day attraction took the entire day, we felt the early pick up did not justify the 2hr.45m drive.... the stop at the shop an hour from the site for 35 min was unnecessary given the explanations when we could of changed as easily at the park, which a few did anyway, it felt staged. The journey back was only an 1hr 40min which tells you something.

The experience was amazing, however the 3 hours it took to get to the falls wasn’t good. Why do we have to go to duty free shops for 45 minutes? We didn’t get off the coach because it didn’t feel safe! We did t want to go shopping we just wanted to go to the falls! We also didn’t feel comfortable having to walk back through the craft market where sellers were pushy. I wouldn’t recommend this trip with you to anyone abs I am a travel agent.

Quite a challenge as we were a group of 4 all over 60 but guide was fantastic and always at hand when we needed support. We were so glad we did this experience and felt a great sense of achievement. Changing facilities and lockers available on site. Take a bottle of water for after as climb takes about 90 minutes from start to finish. Highly recommend this trip

We paid much more than entry price of $25 to have bus shuttle and on bus guide. Tour itself was interesting with tour guide explaining interesting facts about the island and giving a good briefing of what to expect at the Falls. Falls were extremely overcrowded which was off putting with local Falls Guides overtaking several lines in order to cut corners which led to more slips and falls. Would highly recommend smaller tour groups of no more than 12 people going in chains with 20 minute interval

Die Wasserfälle sind echt ein Highlight. Die Tour dahin allerdings durchwachsen. Man wird abgeholt und hält dann in Ochos Rios in einem Touristenladen. Man wird aufgefordert den Bus zu verlassen und dann in einem Shop einkaufen zu gehen. Für den Wasserpark kann man eigentlich gleich Schwimmsachen anziehen und wenn die Mitnahme eines Smartphone gewünscht wird sollt man dies komplett wasserdicht verpacken! Man wird ständig aufgefordert Trinkgeld zu geben, wenn nicht wird dumm angemacht!

Me and my kids had a great time climbing the falls. Our driver got us there ahead of the cruise ship passengers and had a quiet climb. If we had got there later it would have been a bit manic! We didn’t bother with a guide. The route to the start was clearly signposted and it was fairly easy to climb with water shoes. The water was rushing down fast as it rained recently which made it tricky in places. I like that there were exits dotted up the falls so you could quit or rest if needed.

Pick up was at 8:25, but the driver was told 9:00, not a great start! On the way we were taken to a 'gift' shop to try local rum and make gift purchases. It was our 1st trip so we went along. Overpriced items and rum is approx $100 a bottle (on Amazon, retail $25!!). Tour guide was informative but very full on and laboured low wage. Dunns River was great fun, would highly reccommend! Photographer follows you round if you want pics, but is $40 for images, so take waterproof pouch and phone.

De reisleidster was aardig, de Tour was niet duur en je krijgt er vrij veel voor. Wat we minder vonden is dat we ongepland langs een winkel gingen met op aanbeveling van de gids eerlijke prijzen voor lokale rum. Hier een fles gekocht voor 85 dollar waar nog tax overheen kwam aan de kassa. Prijzig maar het zal wel heel goed zijn, toch? Na een Google sessie bij terugkomst koop je deze fles thuis voor 30 euro. Dan ben je dus vrij hard belazerd als onderdeel van een georganiseerde tour.

Firstly the Falls are amazing, the guide and video man had a good sense of humour. Park was tidy and well maintained. However, at the end of the excursion when leaving the park you have to go through a market and the sellers are very pushy and will follow you until you leave the area. Unless you are firm you’ll end up with very expensive rubbish… you have been warned

The tour was great KC the guide was fantastic the photographer was funny and professional. However the market people on the way back to the car park. Was overwhelming and this spoilt and otherwise fantastic experience. All wanted tips tour guide driver site tour guide and photographer so this ended up quite a lot of money. The best person Iimed the best was our Tui Rep. Karen helped so.much to make make the numbers up. Credit to her, lovely lady.

Over the time spent at Dunns River Falls was great. The negative being that we stopped at a convenience stop and wasted over 30 mins ‘rum tasting’ to then being pressured to purchase alcohol that was triple the price in the airport for smaller bottles. Do not fall for this shop. TUI should check the itinerary of this trip as we were not aware we would be stopping for such shop. Unprofessional and felt like we were taken advantage of. Rep clearly knew what she was doing & probably got a kick back

The transportation guide to Dunns river take you to a so called tax free shop before going to dunns river, this shop was more expensive than buying the water shoes and alcohol. I was recommended to buy a bottle of rum for 40 dollars but at the airport that same bottle was 15 dollars, I felt I was taken advantage of.

From getting picked up to getting dropped back off at the hotel it was smooth sailing. The tour guide on the bus was very knowledgeable and made the journey to the Dunns River Falls an interesting one. Also our driver Jeffrey was great and interacted with everyone on the bus. Our guide at the falls was excellent along with moose the camera guy. It was busy at the falls day we went but we still enjoyed every minute. Cannot fault our experience and would totally recommend giving this one a try.

We need a more detailed briefing from the TUU Reps prior to the tour. We need to know what we are doing. My wife had 2 knee replacements, does not have mobility issues, but found it difficult. Also, signing a waiver We were not briefed on. Overall it was a good tour but at $59 each, very expensive for a couple of hours tour.

Having done the Dunns before I always climb the stairs and this gives you time to take in the beauty of the place. Time to actually spend around the falls would improve the experience. Also time to take in the views from the beach and the beach would also make the experience into something special . More time there please for next time .

Great helpful staff supporting you at the falls throughout your trip. Lots of fun and the sense of achievement by the end of the climb. My only criticism is that the jerk chicken lunch was not served till 330, so it really is not lunch and the quality of the food was poor. So the dance falls climb was really really good fun and worth doing but would suggest you skip the late lunch.

The overall experience was brilliant and would highly recommend it, especially having a fantastic tour guide called “Trinity “. The only fault we do have is the travelling there, it took nearly 2 hours just picking people up from hotels, this was no fault of the driver or Trinity, it was because people weren’t ready at their hotels!! Then another hour and a half to get there including stopping at a shop because people weren’t well equipped even tho it says what you need on email.

Dunn’s falls itself was amazing. However the Whole trip was a nightmare, with unexpected stop at a souvenir shop for as long as we were actually at the falls ! Coach overcrowded, tour guide had no seat, kept standing in the way of the driver (who kept telling him) Experience listed as 2-4hrs was 6.5 hours ! Rushed up the falls & back on bus within 1hr 15mins ! No time to look at the park. Tour guide making a list of who wanted to buy tea off him & selling on coach - up & down walkway whole

The transport down to Dunns River, went via another hotel to pick up for a shopping trip not dunns river. On arrival at Dunns River taken to the gate and given tickets etc, but once inside didnt really know what/where we need to be.. would be good to have someone with us all the way if I'm booking with a tour operator! Then pick up as we were waiting for another family, he went to pick up the shoppers again and dropped them off on way back! Also rep did not advise we needed to pay for lockers

The Duns river itself was good, however, the lack of information about things you need and more importantly, being honest when telling customers the actual travel times and not lying to customers. An expected 1and half hour drive turned into 4 hours as we weren’t told the truth about actual travel time. And picking up from 9 hotels and then waiting round for late comers didn’t help. Our guide was rude when we complained and her response was well book a private excursion then if your not happy.

The falls were beautiful and climbing them was fun. However we only just had time to scale them and had five minutes spare to catch the bus back. There is a whole park attached to the falls to explore but we had no time to do it. Two hours isn't enough time , we had to join another group who were slow getting changed so we lost 30 minutes before we even started. You should get 3 hours minimum at the park from drop off. Wish we had booked private now.

I didn't like that the tour driver that took us to Dunns made us get off in town to go "shopping" and I felt like I needed to buy something. Overall the Dunns River experience was great. I would have rather spent that extra time at the Dunn River verse at the shopping. He had two different tours.

The falls are stunning, you don’t have to walk up in the water, you can also walk by the side and pop in at various points. The only gripe we had was the driver of the tour bus told us that we wouldn’t be let into the falls waiting crocs and took us all to a shop in Ocho Rios which sold everything we needed! When we got to the falls, people went in wearing socks/bear foot etc so don’t be fooled into buying anything unnecessary!

The trip to Dunns River Falls was very good and a guide took us down to the bottom so we could walk back up at our own speed and get some great photos of the falls on the way. This was much better than holding hand with the whole group and climbing up the falls in swimming gear.

Good experience. Guide very good. Only really assisted the people at the front of the group though. A lot of people in group were ill equipped on footwear and were allowed to climb wearing flip flops, crocs etc which put people climbing behind them in danger. People should not be allowed to climb without water shoes.

The trip itself was thoroughly enjoyable, however …: - We would have appreciated the advice to not got on a Wednesday which is cruise ship day. It was heaving to the point of being completely over crowded. - We paid for a guided tour. We were dropped off and taken in and our driver just left us there. We had no guide to assist us with the climb. - The driver was very specific about us being back at 1pm. He arrived an hour later and we missed the top of the climb in order to not be late.

To book was hassle free from pick up it took 2 hours to the falls perhaps make that more apparent prior to booking when getting to the falls the whole experience takes about 1 hour you have a tour guide who rushes you along and a videographer who charges $40 we are still waiting the video to be sent when you finish you are constantly hounded to buy souvenirs for how long you are there the constant pestering and no video footage it was a very overpriced experience glad I have done and not repeat

Loved the waterfall it was amazing and great fun. The guide taking us up was brilliant. Only part I was a bit annoyed about , the drive was only one hour and half but it took much longer due to pick ups (I appreciate that ) but also going to a shop to stop before. I have recommended trip to people I have met at the hotel after we went .

the driver who took us there was great and very helpful.But the tour guide not so much.He was constantly barking orders out.Like "I told you to stay with me!!and 2KEEP IN LINE!!For me it wasn't a very pleasant experience as it was hard work climbing up and rushed.You didn't have time to sit in the pools or admire the falls like it shows in the pictures.Although i have to say he did help me climbing up alot of the time .I Would say definitely say for the young and fit!

Nice hotel and location but had to wait over an hour on the coach, the hotel open plan and very noisy especially at meal times, staff were in general polite and courteous, Not happy at paying $35 each to leave Jamaica and join the cruise as this was not mentioned at any time before leaving.

This is a great "must do"experience, but it's not for the faint hearted!! You'll need to be fairly fit to do it as you are literally walking 960 feet up a waterfall (you'll also need suitable footwear). My only criticism is that you don't get long enough to explore after you've completed the walk. It's straight back to the transfer & back to the hotel.

The guides Kemar and Noel was great fun and made the experience memorable. we bought the recording of the trip which was $40 and good value for money. It should be stated that a water tight phone protector is required if you wish to take selfies.

The journey is longer than we anticipated. We were almost forced into shopping at a rainbow store on the way who ripped us off by £30. You absolutely will be expected to tip the driver, hostess and your River guide. Don’t be talked into the $US40 dvd. Take a phone holder, waterproof, round neck, take own pictures. Walking back thru the craft village, they can be scary. TUI you need to address some of the behaviours of the tour companies. But the place is absolutely gorgeous and worth the visit!

The experience of the falls was simply amazing. The guides do seem to rush you up the falls with little time for taking photos / videos of the experience. This is probably done to encourage the purchase of the photos/Video they take. Also, once at the top the guide very quickly leaves you to figure your own way out. I didn't like that the only route out was through the market stalls and no matter how much you say no they traders simply don't give up.

Super cool direkt die Wasserfälle hochzuklettern - wirklich ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Leider wurde man ein wenig gehetzt, dadurch dass es sehr viele Gruppen gab. Somit hatten wir kaum Zeit einmal kurz die Natur zu genießen oder in den Wasserfällen zu baden.

The river falls experience is absolutely amazing! Our guide at the falls was called King and he made the experience really enjoyable. The only thing I will say is be prepared to tip! They will straight up ask you for a tip at the end so bring some cash (we didn’t mind as our guide deserved it). They also make you walk through an area of shops at the end (no other way out) which was extremely intimidating as they pounce on you to buy stuff. We managed to get through but its not a nice ending.

Wir haben die Tour einzeln gebucht und waren voll und ganz zufrieden. Unser Fahrer hat keinen extra Stop gemacht, uns aber viel über Jamaica und das Leben dort erzählt. Die Tour selbst ist ein Muss, wenn man in Jamaika ist. Unbedingt Wasserschuhe und eine wasserdichte Handyhülle mitnehmen. Die Spinde dort haben bei uns 8 Dollar gekostet wovon 3 Dollar Pfand waren.

Dunns River Falls is stunningly beautiful, well kept, breathtaking and fun for all. I booked the tour on the TUI app for myself and 3 kids but over 12yrs is adult. Could have got it for much less if booked direct with Dunns River and got a taxi for the 6 minute journey. Guide rushed us thru the falls and didn't give us enough opportunity to take our own photos. Bought expensive £40 photo/video pack which wasn't worth the price. The few photos we managed to take ourselves were much better.

Hele leuke excursie. Onze chauffeur raadde ons aan alle spullen in de bus te laten. Zwemkleding aan telefoon in plastic hoesje en waterschoenen aan. Of je huurt kluisje. Klim vanaf het strand naar de top. Was gelukkig rustig. Check vooraf of er een cruiseschip ligt in Ocho Rios want hoorde van anderen dat zij vanwege drukte niet naar de top zijn geweest wat erg jammer is. Maar deze excursie is alleen Dunn’s River Fall. Zeker aanrader.

The falls were great, but you don’t state anywhere that despite being away from the resort for a full day (7 hours), you’re actually only at the falls for an hour ! Other issues we experienced were that the bus broke down on the way there and we had to wait 45 minutes at a gift shop for a replacement (which was much smaller and very cramped). Also, tour guide went to sleep on the return journey, which ALL passengers thought was really unprofessional

Dunns Falls is stunning and was a big tick on my bucket list. I have waited 30 years to come and was not disappointed, our guide was good keeping us all together and helping climb when needed. A beautiful place but it is all about trying to sell you photos and videos of your climb. The market you have to walk through to get to the car park is also quite intimidating, our driver prewarned us what to expect so we were prepared

Dunn’s River Falls was an exhilarating experience. We are glad we did it. Only downfall was the travel. From our hotel in Montego Bay it took 2 and a half hours, which included a half an hour stop off at the guide’s friend’s gift shop. Watch out, if you are not wearing water shoes then the guide will tell you that you’re not allowed on the water fall, so they force you to buy water shoes. When you get to the waterfall, there’s no enforcement of any particular shoe, it’s clearly a scam.

The trip says half day trip but this simply isn't true. We were picked up at 8.30 and despite only 3 further pickups, we didn't get to the falls until 12.30. It was only a 2 hour drive and there was no traffic. This would have been a much shorter journey if they hadn't taken us 40 mins past the Falls to a souvenir shop in Ocho Rios which isn't mentioned in the description. When at the falls we had a group size of 32 which led to confusion going up the falls and a somewhat rushed experience.

Wir haben etwas ganz anderes erwartet, aber wir waren positiv überrascht. Am besten hat man direkt Badesachen an, das Handy wasserdicht verpackt, der Rest blieb im Bus (Handtuch). Es war eine geführte Tour, wir sind die Fälle mitten im Wasser hoch geklettert. Der Guide Paul war super, die Fälle wirklich wunderschön. Man sollte keine Rücken- oder Knieprobleme haben, Wasserschuhe unbedingt notwendig. Wir sind total begeistert, es war ein Abenteuer und wir würden es auf jeden Fall wieder machen !

Didn't get much detailed information about the trip beforehand - would have been much better if we had been told that we could leave our things on the bus, to take a waterproof camera case, that water shoes were mandatory - instead of being taken to a shop and people being forced to buy them. We were picked up and 8am and did not arrive at the falls until 12. The coach was too big and there were far too many pick-ups. At some stops we were waiting for around 10- 15 minutes for people. we then queued for quite a while at the falls filling out disclaimers and signing in so all it took almost 5 hours to spend 45 minutes climbing the fall. there was no time to relax on the beach or just chill for a while. The falls are 100 percent worth a visit but you take alternative transport.

The guide staff were a little bit too bossy, always blowing the whistle and shouting. Then the video company were in your face wanting you to cheer etc.. I wanted tranquility and serenity as I observed the surroundings. The place itself was wonderful and the experience of climbing up was great. The transport insisted I couldn’t climb using my really good trail running shoes and even drove me to a shop and told me I had to go buy water shoes from his friends shop. I didn’t need them!

Climbing the falls was really enjoyable, the beach at the bottom of the falls is nice and there as a small craft market area on the site. Don’t accept any ‘gifts’ from vendors, they will want paying. Avoid Wednesday as the cruise ships dock making the queues to climb the falls ridiculous, it was ultra busy & we queued for an hour!

We enjoyed our visit, as I have walking issues I had my own guide who took pics for me, he was awesome named Nelson so kind made sure I was ok all the time I made sure I tipped him good, I went in the water it was lovely, I did not climb my daughter did, the grounds are stunning well kepted, defo need water shoes it is a bit slippery he told me where to walk, take drinks with you, defo sunscreen, water case for your mobile/cell phone, I can not think of anything I did not like tbh have fun

I didn’t walk up the falls but there was still plenty to do and I really enjoyed our visit. A local guide took us to a place where we could see the rest of our group climbing the falls and took lots of photos of me and my husband. I couldn’t manage the steps down to the beach so the guide took my camera and took lots of photos for me.

The bus guide constantly asked everyone to make sure we all give her and the driver a good tip and even had the cheek to say if you don’t have cash she would show those who didn’t the atm machine this was repeated about 6 times! It was uncomfortable and rude. The falls was amazing but constantly harassed to tip and if you tipped n wasn’t enough it was known.

Good fun & beautiful location. Nice to climb with a group of strangers but all part of a team. Guide & photographer kept us laughing but felt safe & well looked after at all times. The falls are absolutely stunning. I had lots of fun however at the end the tour guides were super rude asking us for tips with “Do you have cash for me?”. They even waited outside the coach for people to tip them which I found it very intimidating and rude. I have travelled to lots of different countries and never seen anything like this before. The feeling of entitlement is unbelievable. Never ever again.

The actual falls adventure was great fun. Once you overcame your fear of slipping, which the beach shoes prevented, the experience was thrilling. The worst thing is the bus ride. Stopping every so often to pick up two people or so from multiple hotels is annoying. Also we had a 45 minute delay due to one couple who decided not to return to the bus on time had everyone else fuming.

The waterfall walk itself was fantastic, the guides helpful and friendly and the waterfall was beautiful. Was very overcrowded and we were made to hold hands whilst negotiating our way up the falls which made many of us feel unsteady and unsure - several people fell. As soon as we stopped holding hands and could support ourselves properly, we were fine.

From our coach driver to our guide, the service was superb. The falls are beautiful and fast flowing so safety is paramount. Our guide was brilliant giving us a safe and rememberable experience. We were longer than expected but our driver was waiting as we came out..no rushing and a cheeky stop at the shop in Ocho Reus as we collected shoppers on a different trip.

Brilliant day starting with the guide Trinity (and super star the driver) We had a good journey to the falls and Trinity kept us all entertained on the way. She shared history and areas of interest. Our river guide Marvin was excellent we enjoyed sliding and falling into the pools under his watchful eye. We are 60+ but loved climbing the falls and the photos are incredible. Definitely 5stars

We went directly from our hotel to the falls you need the rubber shoes to climb the falls from the beach to the top of the falls is a good slog rocks nearer the top are more slippery so take your time there. Stop for a rest half way up as it is a tiring experience.

Fab!! It's our 2nd time and very different to 30 years ago. They need info at the payment booth, explaining that those, only using the steps, need to follow everyone else, all the way down to the beach first. And that from there they'll walk up alongside them to follow what's going on. My daughter went under the falls. We panicked asking various people in the chaos at the top about how it worked. Mum's 86 so we couldn't keep up. Once at the beach it's obvious but before you get there it was not.

Exciting and exhausting, a unique experience but very unsafe as guides were more interested in upselling photo DVD's than concentrating on clients welfare. One of our party slipped and fell and would have been washed many metres down the falls but for the intervention of a fellow client. We were picked up on time only to find out we were sharing transport with another experience. When we arrived at Dunn’s falls there were no guides available as “ there were a lot of cruise ships in Jamaica “ on day of experience. We were told by guide to make our own way through falls and I ended up falling over 3 times due to not knowing the route to take and pathway being invisible due to colouration of water.

The falls themselves were great but this is advertised as a half day experience which it certainly isn’t. Our hotel is in Montego Bay . We were picked up at 7.50am as advertised but we didn’t arrive at the falls until noon due to the length of journey and the number of pick ups along the way. We then left the falls at 2.30pm and didn’t get back to our hotel until 5.30pm. Therefore for an experience that lasted 2.5 hours we spent 7 hours on a coach!!

In reality the trip was a lot longer than advertised with a lot of time spent on the coach. There was also an unecessary stop explained as a comfort break at a remote store which sold overpriced rubbish and staffed by aggressive rude locals There was also a large area occupied by hawkers at the end of the falls where you are corralled into and have to run the gauntlet again of extremely aggressive hawkers which spoiled the occasion. The coach driver was very friendly and informative, the guides were efficient friendly and professional. There was a little pressure to buy the videos and pictures but not too much. The least enjoyable aspect was when leaving you are directed past some vendors who are very persistent and reluctant to take no for an answer. The driver forewarned is of this which made it a bit easier to deal with as we were prepared. The experience rates highly regardless of this minor negativity. Recommended!

The falls themselves were amazing and great fun. The trip was advertised at 2-4 hours, I had no reason to research this. In another part, says half day tour. We spent 7 hours on a coach! There was no traffic etc. We was collected at 8.10 and still doing hotel pickups at 10am. Then we drove 15 minutes past the falls and forced to spend an hour at a gift shop (same as hotel shop and 1000s of others). We arrived and departed the falls in under 75 minutes. We left a family member alone at hotel.

The scenery was beautiful. Dunns River is a fabulous place to walk, but our guide seems intent to get us up to the top as fast as possible. I assume he gets paid per trip or so we were rushed through some of the areas where we could’ve taken nice pictures. The worst thing about the trip was the locals, selling, handmade gifts, badgering you and pestering you for money I got stopped by no less than four vendors, who is so insistent about me buying their wares. It has really put me off excursions.

Its a good climbing experience overall however the women staff at Dunns River are rude, especially the one who supplied the lockers. She was so rude about me simply exchanging a locker, she sighed and huffed and puffed and kissed her teet and all she did was print out a new ticket and gave us a new key - nothing strenous. Also be careful if you do this solo. As I was getting a new locker, they left me and began the climb without me. I guess single person is not important enough to wait for

Pick up was timely and driver chatty. The falls are indeed spectacular and the local guides on hand are necessary to lead you safely up the falls from the beach. It is quite a hike but a lovely experience. TUI neglected to state there is a fee for the use of lockers. You will get wet to waist depth, so bring a waterproof bum bag for your camera etc. Take your own photos as and when you can. People are after tips so watch your money, they watch you, so be polite but robust.

A must do trip in Jamaica. Take water shoes and a waterproof case for your phone. Be prepared to tip the tour guide. Locker are available for a change of soothes and any valuables. As you leave you go through a shopping area be careful as they will try to give you things but they are not free!

Can't fault the experience there. But journey took 3hrs. The bus made pick-ups from hotels and the times meant we often arrived too early for the designated time for guests. At a hotel, we waited 25 mins. We also drove miles past the attraction turn off to go to a shop for those needing to buy rubber shoes etc. It was obvious that the selection of the shop stop added 20 mins to the journey. In effect, a 60-70 journey was 180mins. It spoilt the day. TUI's choice of provider should be revaluated.

Amazing experience, the falls were beautiful and the guides were very helpful and friendly. We got some amazing photos that we will treasure forever. The only issue for us was the fact that the bus stopped at no fewer than 9 other hotels, extending the journey time by about an hour each way. My wife ended up getting quite travel sick, and the excursion ended up taking up pretty much the whole day (when the experience itself was 1-2 hours).

Dunns river was amazing, we climbed up the waterfall and the guide let us slide down on one section and allowed us to get the best experience possible. The guide on the bus was excellent too, telling us about things along the way. We took water shoes, they stop off to let you purchase them on the way there. The only issue is the people on the way out of the park who try to sell you things, other than that I highly recommend going!

Finally got there after not being collected and having to rebook! Take good water shoes, it's very slippy in places but lots of fun. We thought we were spending a day under waterfalls and relaxing in pools not human-chaining and climbing up a beast of a fall! Ha!! Weather was lovely, water was too. A guide takes you round & another person films it all - buy it - wish we had, it's only $40. Take tips for these folk, they make the adventure fun. It's a climb, but definitely worth it! Enjoy!

We were told the tour would take approximately on average three hours if we haven’t got eight hotels to pick people up on the way through it would’ve taken three hours the coach ride was tedious there was no drinks supplied and less beer I do not drink alcohol and it was a massive rush to make it back in one day the coach driver was rushing back in the afternoon. Not to be missed half day trip! You’ll keep going back to the pictures you take of the falls and smile every time. You need to take some water shoes and a waterproof bag for your phone. It’s not too steep (you will slip a couple of times) but everyone helps each other. It’s just one of them places that you must visit when staying in Jamaica!

Wilson the guide was brilliant, every step of the way he kept helping and telling the whole group about where to step and what to be mindful of, he was very aware of the ones struggling and was very encouraging and helpful. Dunns river is a must see. You can buy a video of your climbed but it’s not personalised but the video man Norman said it was. But it still was a good video £40 dollars a pop but you do get a few photos as well. There is a chance to buy things at the end, just haggle a bit.

Climbing the waterfall was amazing, the guide really helped to make it safe and fun, although he was pushy for a tip. Beautiful place to visit, had a fantastic climb lasting about 75 mins. A bit choatic on arrival but we got organised eventually. Did not like the unnecessary stop off at a shop in Ocho Rios or the pushy sellers on the exit from the falls. Also the bus wasn't there to pick us up, we all had to wait.

The downside was that the waterfall was EXTREMELY busy, with multiple groups trying to climb the falls so there is was a lot of waiting. FYI - you will need water shoes. Ten hour day with eight of those spent travelling! We spent 2 hours at Dunn’s River Falls which was amazing! Don’t use TUI as there were multiple pickups to get get as many people on coach as possible with no thought for how long some people would be travelling. Also made a useless stop at a ‘shop’ which wasted another 40 minutes Don’t use TUI for this trip choose a more client friendly provider. 10 hrs far too long with 8 hrs travelling!

We really enjoyed the trip, however: 1) when we were travelling to the falls, we were dropped off at a gift shop for 30 minutes. This was clearly a money making scheme. The experience was fantastic, the location is a once in a Lifetime place to visit and the views are breathtaking. However, there could be more time spent at the bottom of the waterfall on the beach, to take photos and take it in, seeing as we’ve a lot of money for the experience. If you choose this experience, please take about $/£100 with you - the DVD of your visit is about £40 and then you have to exit via a market which can cost about another £40-60 if you choose to buy souvenirs.

Dunn River Falls was a great day out, we left about 10am and got back about 3pm, the price included the return coach trip with some interesting facts about Jamaica and some safety instructions about what to watch out for as a tourist, a tour guide who assisted in the climb and a photographer who made a video of it all, this cost $40, well worth it. Great Views and feel like you climbed a mountain. Thanks

The whole experience was amazing! The guide & photographer were brilliant. We would highly recommend this for everyone to do. My wife is not a fan of water and climbed it all because they made us feel safe. The only downside was being made to walk through the market at the exit when we wanted to avoid it and the hassle we had from vendors and what appeared to be homeless people begging. This was quite daunting even for myself, so I feel this could be very scary for some individuals.

The guide and actual excursion were great. The information about the trip and literature was extremely poor. To start with the e-ticket says redeem your ticket for a voucher from a rep but wait, there is no rep in our hotel so what do we do? Contact Tui via the app and get a standard response, contact Tui via email and get a auto response saying to wait 3-5 days for a response, call you using the number you provided which cost us almost £18 for 7 minutes. Tui this is not on. I get there is probably no need for a rep in hotels but make sure the information you provide is up to date. When I eventually got a response via the app I was told no reps because of covid but the pandemic started 2 years ago, are you telling me it takes 2 years to sort out your literature. Next is the checklist on what to take, it mentions suitable shoes, but no where in the description of the excursion does it mention that there will be climbing involved and specific shoes are needed. No where does it mention that if you don’t have these shoes you should take money so that you can buy them. Luckily we had enough cash on us to purchase the shoes, if we hadn’t it would have been very dangerous to do in the shoes that we had. Lastly, the time “2-4hours” well it was actually 6, 4 and a half of which was travelling and stopping at a gifts shop. The actual excursion was 1 hour. The simple answer to all of this is to update the information on the app and tickets. What should have been an exciting trip ended up becoming more stressful than it needed to be and ended up costing us £50 more than the trip we had paid for. When you had a rep in the hotel giving the welcome talk they would have given you all of this information but now there is nothing and booking/going on an excursion this time was stressful. We usually book with Tui once a year (apart from covid) and usually do a couple of excursions. I probably will not bother next time and I will be making a complaint.

The bus driver George made this experience a lot more enjoyable as on the way he told us the history of the area as we passed it and when at the falls took us the bus full to the right area and got us our wristbands the falls are really enjoyable and the guides are very helpful and don’t forget there tip at the end there are lockers available for a small fee

There was no tour guide. The trip felt rushed, there was no time after walking the falls to have refreshments or photo opportunities. We barely had time to dry off and change. A race to catch coach back. Would have paid more for the tour to be longer, even by just an hour

We and many others had to purchase proper water shoes as your itinerary only says ‘appropriate footwear’ which added a great deal of stress to the trip when you in fact need proper water shoes or diving shoes

Great value for money. Our bus guide was informative on route about the different parishes. Our guide up the fall was fabulous. I’m abit overweight but wanted to do the climb. He was fantastic, helped me up the more difficult rocks without making me feel self conscious. Wonderful excursion and value for money. Would have been even better if a bottle of water was available, we were told to leave our belongings on the bus including water and money yet there were lockers available had we of been told.

Experience is great, it’s one to tick off. However, this is a shuttle bus service and does include entry to the park. The problem we had was our pick up was 10am and didn’t arrive until 11:30am despite staying less than 10 mins down the road from the park. The bus was picking up people from other hotels and going back and forth. To keep it objective we did still get 2.5 hours at the park but a pick up time is a pick up time. If you have your day planned out you’re likely to lose most of your morning. So it makes sense to book this at the hotel as there is another shuttle bus that takes people back and forth to these parks.

The trip to the falls was superb, but beware of the tourist trap of the sellers on the walk back to the coach. They jump on you with offers of carved wood or gifts that are “free” then try to fleece you for $50. Nothing is free, walk past and don’t get suckered in! Apart from that, the experience is a great way to spend a couple of hours

Dunn’s river falls is an amazing trip. It was so fun climbing the falls and an experience you wouldn’t get many places in the world! I can’t fault the experience itself… the guides were brilliant, fun and took lots of photos on our phone for us. The only thing I would fault is the travelling time - it’s misleading. The trip says 2-4 hours in total but we spent roughly 4 hours just on the bus travelling to and from the falls (from Montego Bay) which was a lot longer than we were told. There were also quite a lot of pointless stops such as a stop to buy water shoes… if you didn’t bring any with you to the falls then you’re just silly surely? Apart from that; it was a great day out!

Very much enjoyed the experience of the falls and guide staff and photographer, but did not enjoy having to exit through the market to get to the coach whilst being hugely harassed by the trader’s to purchase there items, my daughter and wife felt intimidated to purchase goods and felt very concerned for there safety, other traveler’s felt the same, I feel a TUI rep should be at the exscursion with there clients.

The tour itself was great, Dunn’s river is amazing and climbing the waterfalls was a good fun! However, the itinerary that we got from TUI was highly inaccurate. First, it said that the tour was 2 - 4 hours… this probably depends in which hotel you’re staying, but we got picked up at 8am and got back at 4:30pm!! Due to the misleading times, we didn’t take any food with us and got back to the hotel feeling ravenous. Second, in the description it says to bring “appropriate footwear”. If you don’t work out that this means water shoes, you will have to buy a pair before you go there. You will not be allowed to climb the falls in any other footwear so just be mindful of this.

Our driver was fab and gave us all the advice needed for the trip - how to behave when walking through the craft market at the end of the waterfall, what to expect etc. The waterfall was a fabulous experience. Loved it! Challenging in places but so beautiful. The staff at the waterfalls are very professional. Great tour. If children are under 10 and a tad nervous I would not recommend.

Transfer driver to excursion (George) very informative. Advised as how to avoid unscrupulous dealers, what to put in the lockers etc. Falls were stunning. Truly enjoyable experience. Didn't like the demand, yes demand for tips from the climb guide. Everyone was tipping anyway. He needn't have followed to the lockers.

When we arrived at the bottom of the falls we weren’t sure if we were going to climb them. We were told we had 45 minutes to return to the coach. So rather than backtrack our way back up the steps we decided to climb the falls. Upon finishing the climb we then had to sprint back to the coach giving us absolutely no time to browse photos with photograph team or purchase anything. We were quite out of breath when we reached the coach.

This was not part of the tour and meant I was left sitting on the minibus, unattended by the driver with a 2 year old for almost an hour before returning to the hotel.

Great experience but let down by a lack of information regarding the trip. It didn't mention that you needed money for lockers (currently $8.O US) or that 1 of the guides videos the climb which you can buy for $40.00 US). As we thought we could leave our bag on the bus we took no money, which in hindsight was a mistake as we couldn't tip the quides either who were super, 1 (Clive) made sure our bag was safely stored for us and the other (Andrew) found my sunglasses after they'd been knocked off my head by the waterfall. Also our driver dropped off shoppers in Ocho Rios which lost us about 20 minutes and really you could do with more time not less at the falls as by the time we'd been registered and completed the climb it was time to be picked up with no time to look around the stalks on the way out.

Falls & guides were amazing, great video sent straight to e-mail. Down side was walking back through the craft stalls. Made to feel very uncomfortable & when we said we had used our money to buy the video they said we know you keep it on the coach, we have good credit with your hotel! Giving a “ free” gift then wanting payment. Not a good end to a wonderful day.

No help from Tui to know which bus to get on. Only had 1 and a half hours at falls and supposed to get 2 hrs. Didn't enjoy getting hassle going through stalls at the end. Dunns falls lovely though and did some bird watching which wouldn't have been possible if did climb up falls.

I am unsteady on my feet nowadays so chose to take the steps by the side of the waterfalls instead of climbing up the falls in the water however, this is one of the great sites to see in Jamaica. On the positive side, the driver was very good. The site itself was very close to Ocho Rios, so only a three-hour round trip if based at one of those hotels. The waterfall itself is unique inasmuch as it opens directly onto the beach. But overall not quite as impressive as the Konoko falls in my opinion. The craft market on the was out of the site was a little on the pushy side.

The online booking process for the trip was awful and I wouldn’t recommend it. We had to book on the App to get the best price, but really missed being able to talk to anyone about the trip. Then there was a real hassle getting tickets printed for the trip which really ruined it - I don’t go on holiday for admin hassle, I go on holiday to get away from it. Finally, we has to share our tour bus with really loud Americans who were shooting their mouths off about taking drugs and getting drunk in front of my 4 children. The falls themselves were amazing.

Excellent trip although it’s quite a climb up the falls. Swimwear and swim shoes are a must as to enjoy the tour properly you get very wet and it’s nice to have dry clothes for the return trip. You can buy swim shoes at the falls and rent a locker to keep things in you don’t want to get wet.

Like all tours/trips in Jamaica, this isn’t an actual TUI experience - whilst booked through TUI, it’s provided by a local tour operator. The drive from the Bahia Principe to Dunns River Falls takes around 20-25 mins, during which the driver provided lots of info about the island. The driver also took care of the checking-in process at the Dunns River Falls and provided usual warnings about what to expect (e.g. lockers cost US$10 but you get $3 back when handing back the key; water shoes are a must so if you’ve not got some, but some before arriving else you’ll be charged US$10 per pair; the guides will follow you for a tip after the climb is completed - even to your locker or coach; you’ll climb in groups of 20-25; the videographer who records your climb will want US$40 per family for a copy of the video he takes of the climb; and be prepared to be hounded when walking through the flea-market on leaving). With all that said, the climb experience is absolutely fantastic. Our guide was excellent and made a breath-taking 760 foot climb even more fun. The climb itself is not too difficult - the guide makes sure people of all mobility are able to make the climb from the beach to the top of the falls. The water is not cold nor flowing too quickly and the path up the falls can be followed easily and was not slippy. Lots of photo opportunities along the way to record your memories. If you are only thinking of doing one trip whilst in Jamaica, please make this your priority. It is highly recommended. The only other comment, the tour arranged via TUI gets you to the falls before the cruise ship folk arrive, so you get to avoid the queues that do form in the days the ships are in port.

We absolutely loved this trip, our driver was on time and very friendly. Was abit chaotic when 1st arrived like none of the staff really knew what they were doing but once we were on beach and ready to start the whole experience changed. 1 of the best things I have ever done, I laughed so much and the guide and photographer were the best. Until that is when you get to the end. Out of our group only a handful of us tipped due to bags being left on coach instead of paying for lockers, I tipped then had the tour guide kick off that it wasn't enough. I wasn't with or know the other people in group so I wasn't going to tip extra on their behalf.

We had an max time climbing the falls. Our guides was Peter Wallace. He was fantastic. He helped everyone & made everyone feel safe. We love our photographer too he made it so much fun. We hate having our pictures taken but made us feel very comfortable.

Not enough info and importance on sea shoes required, some people got caught out and became a little Frustrating for them as they had not planned. If you get a tour guide that don't communicate is very boring . Thankfully other tour guides was fun and their raft was close by. That way we engaged with each other. Also bring music (Bluetooth music box). I thought we would have a chance to get into the water. But we was rushed back onto the bus. Bus was boring. No guide on there. We didn’t have a rep meet us at hotel there were lots of coaches picking up and we wasn’t sure which one we needed. Luckily we had a great coach driver from Anstar who took us to reception when we got there and booked us in. We didn’t have any cash for a locker and card machine wouldn’t work but a guide kindly let us leave our bag with them. Our guide Andrew and videographer for the tour were excellent and looked after the group and made it an unforgettable experience which I would highly recommend.

Die Wasserfälle sind wunderschön und darauf hochzuklettern wahr wirklich einmalig! Allerdings war es viel zu touristisch und ähnelte einer Touristen-Abzocke. Vor den Wasserfällen wurde an einem Shop gehalten, wir sollten alle rein. Warum??? Und beim klettern kam ein Guido mit zum filmen, wenn man anschließend das Video nicht kaufen wollte, wurde nicht mal Tschüss gesagt. Echt traurig! Und ständig wurde man aufgefordert, Trinkgeld zu geben.

Dunns river was amazing! The only issue was before it, we were taken to the town to buy water shoes (given no option of renting them at the falls) and we were clearly taken to a shop where there was a partnership, with it selling rum, diamonds, souvenirs etc and everything being pushed on you. We spent an extra 30 mins or so here instead of heading straight to the falls. Furthermore, we were picked up at 8am and only got back after 3pm and where given no option to get lunch - would have been better to have been offered time to get food rather than faffing in the shop beforehand.
