Venice is magnificent but this tour is far too long The min time given as 8 hours is grossly wrong No way can this be done in less than 10 hours Our pick up in Riva was 07:20,our return was 20 :45. Six hours in Venice,Seven and a half on the coach,with no traffic problems. If I had known this in advance I would not have booked.

Our guide was really good, very informative with clear information and instructions given. The coach arrived on time, however there wasn’t a sign at the front detailing which trip it was & organised by Tui. This caused some confusion at the bus station in Garda as another coach arrived at the same time.

Well organised. Timings for it all ran like clockwork. Very experienced guide who was approachable and friendly. Walking tour was informative, earphones worked very well, guide shared useful tips to help us. The lagoon boat trip which was extra was very disappointing, due to the noise of the boat none of the comments could be heard. Felt that was a waste of money as this was an additional cost payable on the coach in cash.

Venice was certainly an experience like no other and was bustling with tourists as expected. We were collected from our hotel on time and were transported via coach and ferry to the City. We enjoyed the organised audio tour but due to the amount involved in getting to and from the City, didn’t get a huge amount of free time. This trip offers a great opportunity to experience Venice on a flying visit. Our tour guide was excellent and full of interesting information throughout the day.

Our guide walked continually faster than we could.This resulted in us not being able to hear her commentary, because of the distance and then when we eventually caught up, she restarted walking, giving her a rest and us not getting any rest. We did ask her to slow down but it made no difference. She was also extremely vague about where and when we should meet our next guide, causing much confusion. This was a concern to many of the other elderly participants.

It was great to be taken to see the city of Venice. The tour guides were excellent and a full days experience was well thought out. It was a very long day and it was really hot. The sound on the boats was not great at all. The trip was expensive and then had to fund other activities. I would have liked the pricing upfront.

Journey was too long. Was supposed to be an 8hr excursion, we were out for 13hrs. Too many people being picked up out of particular areas. Venice was good, plenty of time to walk around and do your own thing. Like I said long distance pick ups between hotels. That was the only problem.

This was advertised as 8 hours but in fact was over 12 hours. The guide was lovely and friendly and coach stopped for comfort breaks. Venice itself is lovely to visit but extremely busy and crowded. No pressure to do the optional extras although we did the gondola experience which was relaxing but gondolier not friendly at all.

Yanos our tour guide was very knowledgeable and discussed places of interest on route to Venice and what to expect and places of interest in Venice when we got there. The live audio tour guide from Yanos was very useful and informative. The optional boat tour of the lagoon was worthwhile and provided more history of Venice. Yanos also made sure we were in the shade when we stopped to see places of interest.

The tour guide Rob made this trip, his wealth of knowledge and information with the jokes was great. We had the lunch, gondola, and the lagoon trip , Rob was giving us the guided tour that we needed to understand the intrasies of Venice. The side streets can become overwhelming with the amount of tourists.

Maybe should be a bit clearer about how much time is available in Venice to help with planning a booking tickets for things. On the detailed information about the trip it said 8 hours you need to include the travel time or make it clearer. Christina was excellent and the driver very organised helpful and pleasant. A trip worth doing.

The Venice trip was really good. The guide was excellent too, helping to build the atmosphere ready for the trip. Everything ran smoothly & I would highly recommend the guided tour & gondola ride. Personally, I would avoid the lagoon trip, preferring to spend more time exploring Venice. I’d say this is a taster trip, as you really need a couple of days to fully explore Venice.

Venice was beautiful, but so much time wasted waiting for the headsets and earphones. The guide was awful. We were told to come back for 4.30 to board the boat to take us back to the coach. When we arrived other passengers were on the boat and then the engine was started and the boat just went even though the passengers were waving to us and telling the guide we were there. Being stranded in a place we did not know anything about was very stressful. We did manage to get across in the end

Venice in a few hours is not really a practical option. Our guide was very good, but the boat trip that was part of the trip was 'hi-jacked' by another tour party, rather than being exclusively for our group as promised. The other tour guide then gave a poor explanation of the sights on the trip, and seemed to concentrate her comments on her own German customers. The boat trip started late, but finished at the scheduled time and seemed to take an abbreviated route. Very poor value.

Not the fault of TUI. Venice is subject to over tourism in the summer months. Hordes of people, cannot move, street traders selling tat. Graffiti on many buildings. A low quality experience despite the magnificent architecture. It would have been nice to visit before the First World War and there's not much we can do about that!

Verona airport was not at all organised to receive arrivals. It took almost three hours to go through security. I had completed the security check at Alicante airport in April without any problems and was assured that my next visit to the UE to go straight to the passport control. This did not happen and my wife will not be visiting any EU country until they sort out the entry system. So disappointed.

Christina and Hilary were very good, really informative and gave time to take photos at the important sites. Gondola and Lagoon trip are booked on the day but it would be better if this could be done in advance of the day. As there was no Lagoon boat availability. Definitely make sure hats and water is available, especially on very hot days.

The journey there was long but the coach was comfortable with effective air conditioning. The driver drove carefully. The guide (Rossella) was friendly and knowledgeable. When we got to Venice we were given a short tour by another lady. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She walked fast and my husband struggled to keep up. The tech didn’t work well so we only really got the first bit of the tour. When we got to the end we asked where we could get a map of the city and she had no idea.

Venice tour, we could not fault our tui experience. Enjoyed our city tour with Christina. From a personal view point we found Venice was to busy, even though it was classed as a quite time. it was an extremely hot day, very little shade to be found unless you went into a resturant/ bar. An experience under our belt, but not likely to return.

My wife wanted to do this tour,I was sceptical. I was wrong, it was arguably the best tour we did during our two weeks. The guide was superb, Iannis, and the organisation was excellent. We both had a great day and would not hesitate to recommend the tour.

You need to stress more that lots of cash needed. Also I would have preferred to miss Lagoon trip and spend more on a gondola ride for 2. Not shared with 2 strangers. We had to sit on the side so missed the classic romantic photo with the gondolier behind. Guide should have given us both prices and a choice.

The guide was very knowledgeable, although we did feel it was a very hard sell for the lagoon tour and you were told you could see Venice in 2 hours, pointless staying any longer. The lagoon tour was literally the same ferry type boat we came in on around the islands and didn’t feel we saw much of interest. But felt obliged to book it. Felt we missed out on time in Venice when we didn’t have much time there to begin with.

The guide on the coach was both lovely and informative. The various transitions from taxi, coach and boat ran smoothly .
My only regret is that we didn't purchase the gondola ride as I think we would have preferred it to the lagoon tour, otherwise it was great.

Enjoyed the sites and the lagoon boat trip. Guided tour was rushed needed more time to take in sites - lost guide briefly. No time to take pictures etc.. We were not informed that CASH was required for extra trips (Gondola & Lagoon boat trip) and apart from the kindness of some fellow travellers who lent us some cash, we would not have been able to go on the lagoon trip. We did not have a card or enough cash, only contactless on our phone.

Quite a long journey but comfort break on way and back. Return to coach park seemed a bit rushed with no visible headcount, but no one lost apparently. We did gondola ride and there was option of boat trip round islands, but this would half your time for looking round. Enjoyed trip and tui had 10% discount on at time. You could do this yourself but it saves the hassle, there were train strikes on at time of trip, so local transport can be unreliable at times.

Brilliant day out to Venice! The coach was the same one we travelled on from the airport with no leg room so as we was the first pick up in Moderno it was 3.45 hour on the coach?? It did have a service stop so we could all use the loo but that was all you had time for. We arrived back at our hotel at 9pm, luckily the hotel had left the restaurant open…..good job as everywhere including the supermarket was closed! We were locked up at 7.25am so it is a long day! Gondola was great??

A very long day. The guide tour on the coach very good. We got split into 2 groups on the walking tour & our guide Roberto was awful. It was a route march & unable to take photos for fear of losing him. I don't think he even knew who was in his group & never checked who was present. It was supoosed to last 50 mins but done in 40 & waited 15 mins for the other group. Went on the lagoon boat trip & thought this was a waste of time & money. Enjoyed the gondola & thought the meal was good value

The main square was beautiful, there were far too many people on tours,m, which meant you couldn't stop too look at much, the numbers need to be managed better. The gondola ride was a complete rip off, we weren't told it was a shared ride with others, the gondelier was rude and disinterested. The trip was advertised as 11 hours, in fact it took 14, which meant we missed both breakfast and dinner which had been paid for at the hotel. It was an expensive tour and not really worth the money.

Enjoyed the tour and the experience. Venice a very interesting place. Tour guide was very good and we enjoyed the gondola though it was very busy and overpriced. The down side of this trip is the time spent on the bus (2 hours spent picking people up before even setting off to Venice) same on way back. Missed out on breakfast and evening meal as Toscolano -Maderno first pick up and last drop off so 8 hours on bus.

Guide good and informative. Driver good. Did not like that it was represented as an 8 hour experience but was in fact 13 hours. This has been mentioned in other reviews and obviously ignored. As a result we had very little dinner. €35 for the gondola was certainly not worth it. Overall disappointed.

It would be an advantage to have a contact number for the guide as she was late for the end of day meet up and we were concerned we had missed her. Would be good to have toilets on bus as this would save time stopping. The Italian guide we had Roberto - we couldn’t understand a word he said. Guide on bus was very good and informative. We really enjoyed the gondola ride.

It’s great to be taken to Venice and brought back to your hotel. A comfortable coach and comfort stops. Our guide was very helpful and provided great information about the history of Venice en route. We enjoyed arriving and leaving Venice by boat. The lagoon tour at €25 each was good and lunch was good value with wine and water for €20 each. Unfortunately the microphone and ear pieces for the initial tour didn’t work. It didn’t bother us as we had visited before. We enjoyed the day.

Only 7 mins late due to getting lost in the maize of streets. Surely there should be some way of getting re-embursed. Our guide was excellent, really organised and informative. We opted to add on to the gondola tour which in our opinion was well worth the money. Great experience, plenty of time to look around Venice we were worn out by the end. There was one lady in a mobility scooter who was not able to join the tour into the middle of Venice which was a shame due to the steps.

Venice was wonderful! We loved the boat into Venice & the walking tour was fantastic. We would recommend to anyone else taking the trip to also do one of the extra trips (gondola or island boat tour) or both of them. Our fault completely that we didn't do an extra trip - it was very hot & no benches to sit on - so we were exhausted. It might be an idea to mention the extra trips & the cost on the advert so that they can be factored in to your budget. Venice is a must see experience ??

Tui need to be more explicit about the timings of the tour. It was a 14 hour day, with just over 3.5 hours actually in Venice and then a 1 hour lagoon tour which didn’t feel optional. We travelled from maderno one of the first stops, I looked at how long it takes to get to Venice and it said 2.5-3 hours, the extra time is picking others up. I understand that needs to be done however wouldn’t have booked the trip if knew it was ten hours of travel. Too much in my opinion.

The guide, Thomas, was great. Gave us lots of useful information and kept us entertained during the 1 1/2 hour bus journey. You have a 1/2 hour boat ride into Venice when you get off the bus. We did the Gondola ride but not the lagoon which we were happy with because we only had about 1 1/2 hours max to grab a bite to eat and explore anyway. Only negative was the quality of the headsets for the guided tour. Could hardly hear anything! It’s a long day but totally worth it! Would recommend doing.

Fortunately we had cash but a little notice beforehand would have been nice. Loved every minute of the tour Yanis the tour guide was excellent and the transfers from coach to water taxi very smooth. The highlight was a trip on the Gondola. The day went by too quickly I would love to return one day to explore more of Venice

It would be nice if the confirmation ticked provided a bit more details about the trip such as a itinerary with approximate timings. The information was provided at the welcome meeting but this was difficult to take in and remember as we had been up all night travelling. As we travelled to Venice we were given the option of an additional boat trip or gondola ride that required payment in cash of €25 or €35. This information would be useful before hand to enable customers to bring adequate cash.

It was a good guided tour but when we went our own way we got lost and eventually managed to find our way back to the boat for the lagoon tour before our journey back by coach, bit traumatic being lost as Venice is a labyrinth of alleyways and canals and it rained for about half an hour before drying up, other than that a good day out ??

Thomas was a fabulous and entertaining guide, running the day with a military precision which was exactly what we needed to avoid being stuck in queues in the searing heat. Our additional local Venetian guide was also great. I guess it would be useful to know the rough additional costs for the gondola and boat trip in advance. We were also unclear what time we would be back so this information would have been useful.

Thomas our tour guide was excellent. He was friendly, informative and exceptionally organised. A boat was waiting for our party to take us across the lagoon. For me as a pensioner the tour was hard as no seating in Venice to rest back and legs and it was extremely hot. We booked the 20 minute gondola ride for the experience as it was our anniversary. We also did the hour boat trip round the islands which was ready and waiting so we'll organised. Boat trip was cheaper than gondola by 10 euro

The guide was excellent and the day was well organised and planned. It was quite expensive per person for a transfer and short walking tour. Additional "Venice" experiences had to be purchased on top of tour. This could have been explained by rep when booking so you could consider whether it was affordable. The gondola ride was good value for money considering it was the grand canal. It is worth noting you can't choose between where to sit. The lake boat trip was poor and not worth paying for

After a bus and ferry ride we arrived in Venice. Our tour-guide, Thomas was very informative and showed us the best of the city. We booked the optional gondola and lagoon trips. The gondola was one of our bucket list activities and didn't disappoint. On the lagoon trip we saw so much more of Venice we wouldn't have been able to see on foot. We recommend the Venice tour and our tour guide did an amazing job looking after us all and we felt safe in an extremely busy fast-paced city.

It would have been helpful if we had been told when booking that to see the Basilica that we need to book on line beforehand and that appropriate clothing needed to be worn. Also, the duration of the tripped said 8 hours but this does not include travelling time. It was a bit misleading.

The day was excellent the tour guide Ramo I think was excellent. Venice is will worth the visit. The gondola and boat tour of the lagoon is well worth the extra. However it was not a 8hr day but a 12hr day with pick ups. So the TUI need to listen and change the time of the tour. Thus length of time may not be suitable for everyone.

Tomas the guide was exceptional, ensuring the day went smoothly and was enjoyable from start to finish. From Garda the tour lasted 12 hours approximately, picked up on a comfortable coach, then straight on the boat to be delivered in to the heart of Venice. A quick tour for an hour with a guide with then free time to explore. We took the offer of a gondola ride for €35 each and the lagoon tour €25 each both were excellent! Return by boat to the coach then an hour and a half back to Garda.

Guide Thomas was brilliant, he should get big bonus. He looked after our group from meeting place st the bus pickup stop till dropping off. In between, Thomas told our group, what was on offer & also what the whole day would penn out. One massive point was he gave us his mobile number in case of trouble, brilliant. We had a wonderful day, pick up was on time and tui rep on coach was helpful and very knowledgeable. Advice on how to stay safe etc. We chose to go off and do our own thing, we explored and ate where we wanted to. The day was extremely hot, drank a lot of water as advised. We were told exactly where to meet for our gondola ride booked with Tui on the way to Venice. Also told exactly where to meet for boat back to coach, day went very smoothly. Guide was fantastic but TUI advertised this trip as 'at least 8 hrs', we thought 8-10 including traffic/side of lake. It was 13.5 hours from Riva , and I am 6 months pregnant so I should have had that information beforehand as it was a very overwhelming, long, hot day. We missed breakfast & dinner at the hotel, and we didn't realise until we were told half an hour into the drive. Gondola ride - £35pp, Laguna tour £25pp extra just for additional info.

The whole experience was excellent even though it was a very long day. We were the first to be picked and last to be dropped off because of the location of our hotel but our guide phoned our hotel to make sure we didn't miss out on dinner which was very good of him. Excellent excursion overall and the guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. The only negative is the mark up on gondola rides - there is a set price in Venice but this was not made clear and guests were charged a much higher rate. Transfer from Sirmione was excellent (last pick up and first drop off) but the day was significantly longer for guests staying in other areas around Lake Garda.

Was great having the opportunity to see Venice and the free time to explore the town. Ideally I would have liked to have the opportunity to have an actual map of Venice we could have used during our tour - getting the map on a mobile device isn't always possible. Alternative tours were also offered whilst we were on the trip, would have been better if we had been advised of these prior to booking the tour so that we had more time to decide which additional tours we wanted to do.

The guide also left 2 people behind which I'm not sure who's fault that was theirs or hers but after a long day we were delayed by at least 30 minutes and the 2 passengers were rathe disgruntled and they happened to be sitting by us so that's all we had on way back was 2 verbally cross passengers so not good.

Our guide was very good at explaining what we were going to do and how to go about things. She was very patient and understanding especially on our walking tour. We booked the lagoon boat trip but we couldn't hear any of the commentary about the area because of the noise of the engine, so that was rather disappointing.

Arriving by boat was exactly what we had hoped to experience and we had plenty of time to wander at leisure - we opted out of the gondola and boat trip - before returning to the coach. It was a very long day, we were out for 14 hours, not the 8 it was advertised for, so that should be amended.

The timing of the gondola ride meet up was at 2.20pm, I would have preferred to do this on arrival in Venice as I felt we couldn’t venture far as we had to get back for the trip. Although we thoroughly enjoyed the experience it was a very long day for us- we were in riva so first pick up in the morning and last drop off at night, a 13 hour day. Obviously this is beyond anyone’s control- the motorway only starts after a 1 hour drive. Apart from that, the trip was first class. Our guide Sophia was great- kept us informed throughout, imparting information and guidance all day-pick-up/drop-off info was always clearly communicated. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

The audio walking tour was boring and we kept loosing frequency, picking audio up from other guides due the crowds. The lagoon tour was also boring and difficult to hear the audio over the wind& boat engines . After a long coach and boat trip no toilet breaks were factored in prior to walking tour. We enjoyed the free time spent in Venice and our private gondola ride which was only 20 Euros dearer than the TUI shared rides. If I was to return I would not do the walking tour or lagoon tour.

The day was to long, and our guide in Venice was barely audible due to the vast amount of people and noise, the whole visit was a disappointment and the return to the ferry was total chaos, if I was to return I would not visit from Garda as this is to far away and the total day much to long. It was a shame because we were so looking forward to our visit but not prepared for so long a bus journey. Venice such a nice place but totally overcrowded even at the end of the season

Our local guide in Venice (Diana) for our walking tour was great. Really friendly and knowledgeable. Warned us about pick pockets in the very busy areas and made sure we had all moved bags etc and to keep an eye on belongings. We did the lagoon tour which we booked on the coach with the Tui rep and it was well worth it. You get to see parts of Venice you wouldn’t if you stayed on the main tourist island. A long but great day!

Previously our guide took us into St Marks Square pointing out places of interest and beyond, he also pointed out directions to enable us to get to where we wanted to visit, along with advice on where to eat! This year a young girl very friendly but once we left the boat we were in our own except for instructions for the lake trip and the return journey.

The main issue was the trip duration advertised at 8hrs. This is totally wrong!!! We were first pick up at 07:30. We arrived at the last pick up at 09:00. So 3:30hrs to get to Venice and back. Being the last drop off at 21:00. So a 13:30hr duration. Venice was ridiculously busy and part flooded, which made the walking tour difficult. No fault of the guide. She did her best and was good. Aside from the travelling it’s a good tour and Venice is a must see!!

To long day picking up . 4 hrs each way. Missed the hotel dinner deadline . The private taxi boat have had a long season. The tui boat tow was poor. Boat again very poor condition had holes in bow and a few rotten areas . Leak water when raining . Tour guide could hair / understand well. Plus side Venice in nice and something you have to see . But very over populated with tourists like myself

The overall communication, planning, travel and connections were excellent, as was the transport. The guide on our bus Thomas was absolutely fantastic and made the long trip to Venice both entertaining and informative. However, due to group size restrictions we had to join a group from another bus, which was not a problem other than than the other guide was boring, uninteresting and difficult to understand on the headset - we very quickly decided to hand the headset in and continue ourselves.

From the booking with Marsha to the travel back home, the ease of everything was top quality. The bus pick up was easy. Big shout out to Thomas (guide) he made the day incredible. Sophia our guide was absolutely fantastic. The only think I would like to point out is that we did the lagoon tour and sat halfway down the boat and couldn't hear a word that was being said not didn't want to ask her to turn it up cause the people at the front may have been able to hear. My suggestion would be that the lanyards be provided for the boat tours as well as the walking tours as we would already have the head phones and would just need the lanyard. This is not a complaint in any way

The guides microphone didn’t work and so she couldn’t keep us updated on the tour around Venice. We wasted a lot of time waiting for her to get it sorted and we were totally fed up. We had the same problem with the guide on the bus. She held the microphone so close to her mouth it was muffled. I do not have problems with my hearing! However we did enjoy the trip around the lagoon but again not the guide

The excursion was very well organised by Tui, we were collected on time and taken to Venice by a very comfortable coach. The guide we were given was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the walking tour and boat trip very much. The only problem we had was the gondola experience. We were charged 70 euros and were taken under two bridges then brought back in around 10 mins when we expected to enjoy a 30 min experience so were very disappointed.

Spot on time to pick us up. Our guide (Thomas Brenner) was EXCELLENT! He was amusing and very knowledgeable. Can’t say more. Also the bus driver was very good (from someone who used to have a bus driver’s licence in the U.K.) One personal word of warning - if you’re over 80 and the temperature in Venice is going to be over 30 try to go on another day.

Really good tour but you need to Look at the time that it takes to get from Riva to Venice. The journey to Venice we had a toilet stop half way which was great because it took over 3 hours. On the way back the toilet stop was less than half an hour into journey. When people needed to ask the bus to stop the tour guide was quite rude which was not needed. The guide in Venice was amazing ( Dee ) she had a lot of knowledge to share and was very friendly.

The coach was excellent and turned up on time. The boat transfer was on time. The guided tour was very short and we were rushed through it, so not good or value for money. The lagoon tour is a waste of money as we could not hear a word from the guide. The most frustrating point was the documentation said the day was 8 hours; it was in fact 11.5 hours and this should be made clear. Overall, it was a good day but too long.

We had a fantastic time in Venice. Our guide was very knowledgable and gave us fantastic hints and tips on the way to Venice. The walking tour gave us a good overview of Venice and we felt the gondola (€35/ person) and lagoon tour (€25/ person) were good value for money. It was a long day but we were fortunate that as we were based in Garda town we were the last pickup/ first drop off. Would definitely recommend.

Our tour guide Christina was brilliant. She was very knowledgeable and funny. She put her own personality into the tour & facts, which made it all the more enjoyable. Venice is a beautiful city and a great experience. This tour was very good with coach pick up c.8:30am and at Venice by 11am. Our guide gave lots of info on the coach and also gave us a walking tour through Venice. Weather was beautiful. Additional optional trips were also organised for anyone who wanted them, hassle free. The day was a nice length. We commenced our leave c.5pm and were back across the water and on coach c.5:30. Back by 7:45. Thank You Cristine for an excellent day.

Enjoyed the whole trip and we liked that the guide stayed with us and had organised a very good value and decent lunch option. The way the timings for the day were explained to us was confusing. We were given all the timings in one go on the coach. Please could we be given an itinerary written down or just the time & location rather than the “be there ten minutes before” we don’t want to work out meeting times. We want to be told exactly what time we are meeting. We have watches, let’s use them!

This is our fifth Venice day trip and would hope to do it again when we return on our next holiday. TUI obviously quickly took on board previous comments whcih I had read . It was very clear there was additional cost for lagoon tour and gondola and that you would be sharing . It was clear you needed cash . No one got home after 730 ish so plenty time for dinner Smooth journey to Venice with a stop at a decent service station coffees / snacks toilet with easy journey into Venice with history info on the bus and boat tour . A day is not enough but if you only have a day this covers a lot .

We enjoyed this trip as a family and the day went reasonably quickly considering it's a long day. Pick up was 8:35 we got back around 18:30. Disappointed that the Gondola and boat trip are not detailed with the costs as you could easily leave yourself short of money. Gondola was an additional 35 euro per person (inc kids). Boat was an additional 25 euro per person (kid was 10 euro). This was an additional 225 for us. It isn't cheap here but also not as overpriced as I thought it would be.

There should have been a chance to get some water as it was an extremely hot day, maybe offer it on the coach. We were in two minds whether to visit Venice at all due to conflicting stories from family and friends but in the end we decided to go and make our own minds up using this trip as a sort of reconnaissance visit the guide was excellent and well organised however the day turned out to be longer than described prior to booking resulting in a 13 hour day and not 8 hours as described but we feel we tried to fit too much into one day so we will be returning for a longer period in the future

Additional gondola trip not happy about as put in boat with strangers so as a couple on our anniversary which why booked to be put in gondola with 3 others by guide was a total disappointment and found the additional lagoon trip very boring

We enjoyed the fact we have been to Venice. The gondolas rides were excellent and well planned by Tui. I would advise those in the North of Lake Garda it is a very very long day and not a good trip with children, as its about 7/8 hours on a coach. We felt trip mis sold aby our rep as we were promised walking history tour and some history on bus-very poor as the guide did not know her stuff and unless you pay for city guide form Venice TUI guides cannot give too much information in Venice.

Our guide Tomas Brenna was brilliant. He made the trip so much fun and his knowledge of Venice was brilliant. His organisation of the gondala and lagoon trips was excellent and the walking tour was fun too. He made sure we knew all about the times for meeting up for the trips and where the public toilets and banks were. He also showed us signs to look for in case we got lost. He made the trip for us and we enjoyed Venice so much despite it being a long day.

Guide was excellent, very interesting to listen to and time in bus passed quickly. Arriving in Venice up the Grand Canal in a boat was a great experience. Venice is amazing. Having a guide to get us into centre of Venice and take us to Rialto Bridge saved us a lot of time as first timers in Venice. This meant we had more time to be able to see the things we wanted to see. The guide was also very organised with the guys who ran the gondolas and boat transfers, no long waits.

Venice was incredible! Beautiful views and Gondola ride was Amazing. Guide offered us a lunch package and really sold us the optional laguna tour, neither of which were worth the money. No one was told about additional costs requiring cash only ( Gondolas) so we're caught out. Expensive day but overall really glad we had the Venice experience.

Everything about the tour was spot on, from the moment we boarded the coach the organisation was seamless. We had the option of Toilet breaks if we needed them and the offer of bottles of cold water for €1 was a really nice touch.

The tour was really good. The guide Gabriella was very helpful and knowledgeable. The trip had a good balance of guided tour and free time to roam and see the sights. The only negative comment is the day was significantly longer than advertised due to our collection point being the first to pick up and last to drop off. Our day was almost 14 hours from start to finish and we missed our evening meal at the hotel. That should be made clear on the booking so there were no surprises.

Lovely tour and plenty of time in Venice, but we were 2hrs on the coach picking people up before we even headed for Venice, then were only given 10 mins for a comfort break on the way (at a petrol station with 1 toilet and a crappy coffee machine!), Far too many pick-up/drop-off stops meant we weren't dropped back at our hotel till nearly 9pm. A very long day!

The walking tour headset kept on cutting out if you were more than 5 metres from the guide. We paid an additional 50 euros for the lagoon ride. You could not hear any commentary due to the boat engines being very noisy and drowning out the speakers

Although it was a long day, about 12 hours in total, our driver and guide were both excellent. We had plenty of time to look around Venice after our guide had given us an initial tour. The boat trip around the islands of Venice was excellent and our guide's suggestion for lunch was very good. One to tick off the bucket list!

Tour guide had a bad habit of muttering into her microphone on the bus and so was difficult to understand at times. My audio on the tour walk did not work properly (unless I was standing within 3 feet of the tour guide) so I missed about 95% of the information being imparted about Venice - not what I had paid for! If the guide had carried spare backup devices then this would have helped! I would probably have learned more by buying a guidebook on Venice and making my own way through the streets!

It is a very long journey from Limone to Venice - 4 hours when you have to pick up other travellers from other resorts - a coach with a toilet should be provided. We absolutely loved Venice and we are glad we took the trip. The guide was informative and we had plenty of free time . Super day!

There was plenty of information regarding the history of Venice and brilliant insight into the city today. If you get a chance to do this, don't have any doubts, it is a well worth experience.

The guide and driver were both helpful and friendly. It's a well organised tour where you can choose to explore Venice, solo, or join the walking tour with the gondola ride and boat trip around the Venice islands. Take cash for the gondola ride and boat trips. I felt comfortable and safe. Our guide, Gabriella, was charming and very knowledgeable. You got to experience a lot of Venice during the day. I'd recommend this trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Venice. The coach taking us there and back was very comfortable, and we were kept very entertained by our Tour Guide Thomas. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and if Venice itself and told us many interesting snd funny stories throughout our journey there, and tour of Venice itself. I would most certainly recommend this trip to anyone. Venice is a must though of course one day isn't enough to see it all, so we'll definitely be back!

When we booked the trip, from the description I thought the lagoon trip was included but it wasn’t but we paid the extra and enjoyed the trip albeit raining! Our guide for the trip was brilliant. My friend had her purse stolen whilst walking in Venice, it would be good on future trips to ask the guide to reiterate the dangers of pick pockets

Yanos was great, explained everything very well, guided tour was a little short due to local regulations, but fine. Overall a good tour for a snap shot of Venice. Coach driver was brilliant, as major crash on Autostrada but change route so arrived 2 hour earlier than other groups.

Guide gave us his mobile number to contact in an emergency which was a very good idea. Boat trip around the lagoon always a good option as it gives a much better idea of what Venice actually consists of. Very good and safe coach driver. It would be a good idea to encourage people to book tickets in advance if they want to visit any of the main sites as there is not time to do that in the free time allotted owing to the massive queues.

We had a guided tour of Venice when we first got there and then a few hours of free time to wander around by ourselves. We opted to do the Lagoon trip (you need cash for this as you book it with the guide on the bus on the way to Venice) which was beautiful and it was very interesting to learn about the other islands in Venice.

Our tour guide Janus was very knowledgeable about Venice and the history of the region and Italy. He explained how and where we were going and what free time was available in Venice itself. Everything went off fine because of his directions. The whole tour from pick up to finish lasted about 13 hours which was unavoidable considering the distances travelled and having sufficient time in Venice itself. I would recommend the tour, but be aware of the time in the bus and opportunities for breaks.

Guide was very entertaining, but I'm afraid the ear pieces are not that clear, u couldn't make out much of what he said. Venice is beautiful, but I was alarmed when we were warned to keep behind him on the right at all times, not to stop and to watch for pick pockets, I felt very nervous. I don't think I could have gone on my own, I defo would have got lost! There were just too many people there for me, but that was not any fault of the tour. I thought the gondolas were good value too.

We were picked up from our hotel at 07.25. we were still picking up passengers until 09.10, we then started our journey to Venice. We then didn't return to our hotel until 21.25 that evening! A total of 14 hours! Considering our excursion confirmation stated that the tour was 8 hours. Additionally because of the time we returned to our hotel, the restaurant had closed so we missed dinner that was part of our package. You should've have made the excursion duration more clear.

Thomas our guide was absolutely brilliant, funny and informative. I did this tour at the end of September and Venice was still extremely crowded so do not go if you don't like them! There is not enough time to visit any of the sites but for an extra payment you can ride the gondolas and do a boat trip around the islands. This was brilliant. Buy your food in the side alleys it's much cheaper. I stayed in Limone and this wad a 14.5 hour trip!!!

We really enjoyed the area of Venice and what it offered us as tourists. Frederick was very helpful and knowledgeable with the history of Venice. The trip felt really easy and we were able to tick it off our bucket list. We even went on the gondola, which did seem steep in price but after looking at the prices you would have had to pay without tui was extortionate. Unfortunately, we were the last people off the gondola and late to the lagoon tour, which we had already spent our money on

This excursion was advertised as an 8 hour trip when it actually took 11 hours. Difficult trying to follow the tour guide who said he would not use a flag for us to follow so spent most of the guided time looking for him and not at the sites. Would have been useful to be handed a street map as with the Verona trip.

Overall we had a brilliant day. The coach was on time and our guide (Dieuwke) was brilliant. She gave us a lot of information in a way we could understand. She explained the optional tours very well and kept the group together and made sure we saw all the main attractions Venice has to offer. The only downside was the sound system on the panoramic tour, which was poor and made it difficult to hear the guide clearly.

Thomas the guide was fantastic and really made the day. The gondola ride was overpriced and we didn’t really like sharing the gondola with another couple from the bus tour who pushed forward to grab the love seat. Would have prefer an option of getting a gondola to ourselves

Venice itself was very nice, glad we visited, but very busy as expected. Cheap places to eat if you look around. public toilets cost 1 Euro or more, also not many around. The tour guide went on a bit too much about pick pockets, understand why it has to be mentioned, but it was a little off putting to the experience. Ticket for the trip stated 8 hours duration, however from the North of Lake Garda it was in fact a 14 hour round trip, had I been aware I would probably not have booked the trip.

Pick up was on time. Tui staff very knowledgeable. Driver gave us a feeling of safety and was very friendly. Venice was very busy but the tour guide made the experience quite pleasant. Pointed out the do's and don'ts re security, safety and where to eat. Not the tour guides fault, but boy was it hot. Lol.

Pleased we went to Venice for the experience but we wouldn’t rush back as we felt it was too commercialised & very over crowded we couldn’t believe how much water spread through St Marc’s square even the waiters were wearing wellington’s by the middle of the day. As for the organisation & the tour guide arranged by Tui that was first class.

The tour guide was absolutely fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, but also very entertaining. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best, but it didn’t dampen my enjoyment of visiting Venice. I’ll probably return in the future on a longer trip.

We were picked up from our hotel + driven to meet the coach in Riva - Transfer driver friendly, safe + efficient. Guide - Thomas - was outstanding from start to finish on a trip from 7am - 9pm - His enthusiasm, care, guidance + interest didn’t wane even though it was very hot and busy in Venice. Thomas was very clear in his instructions, the detail + depth of information provided - Incredibly knowledgable enabling us to get a real feel for this unique city during a day trip. Driver brilliant too

For our family of 4, the gondola tour cost €40 less than if we had booked via Tui. Something to consider for the future. On the plus side, the tour guide was excellent abd we really appreciated the prompt taxi service Tui organised to and from the coach. That made a huge difference. Overall. We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend.

The guide Alex was very friendly and knowledgeable. He did an amazing job of providing a lot of information and facts in both English and German to the group. I loved the Gondola ride and the Lagoon tour which if you wished to do was an additional fee, definitely worth it. Overall, a really enjoyable day and great way to see a new city.

Our guide for the day Frederick was a charming man , he was exceptionally pleasant ,friendly and polite and his knowledge on Venice and its history was amazing. The overall excursion description should be more clearly described in relation to the travelling time , it fine if you are staying at the south end of the lake but up the north the travel time is very long for a day trip. The optional experience costs should be given as it adds a lot of money to the day that you may not expect.

Having not been to Venice before this trip provided a good insight and we will definitely visit again. Christina was very knowledgeable about Venice and gave us lots of information , how to navigate basil to the rendezvous point , timings etc. we had time to wander round but not to visit the Museums- we will plan this for a future trip. It was a good way to see Venice and not have to worry about navigating their ourselves. Venice is very busy but we expected this.

Our guide was utterly magnificent, he was engaging, funny, knowledgeable and he really seemed to care about each & everyone of us having a good time We were a big group and he (Can't remember his name, lovely chap, very proud of his new blue umbrella) did so well at keeping us together. At squeeze points he reminded us of pickpockets and kept us safe. The extra's, Gondola etc. were paid separately but he was upfront and honest about the cost, and cheaper than the Gondola stations. Great Day

Really good tour once we reached Venice but was a long journey due to the number of hotel pick ups. Also thought the gondola tour which we purchased via the guide wasn’t great value - was 30 minutes but didn’t go via any landmarks eg Rialto bridge etc

On time pick up with the usual visit to other hotels to pick up other travellers. Guide knew her stuff and explained things well on the journey and the short guided walk in Venice itself. We didn’t opt for the gondola ride as had done so before. Did the optional lagoon boat tour late in the day which was informative and gave you different views of Venice that you couldn’t get anywhere else. It’s not clear in trip descriptions so make sure you take sufficient cash to pay for the optional extras.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Venice, and he really did have a positive impact on the whole day. We had an unfortunate experience, one of our group was pick pocketed, so the whole group was held up by undercover police for a very long time. Therefore we didn’t really get time to explore Venice, the guide kept us well informed. But we didn’t really get good value for money because of this.

Great guide. Wish we had been told that tui gondola tour was 50 euro more for family of 4 by the guide than if we had done it ourselves. There were many available as we walked around so lost a lot of money.

The tour of Venice was very good, and our guide Jonas was very informative. He advised us to take the additional tour of the lagoon by boat which was a little disappointing as this part of the talk was given by another tour guide who we struggled to understand.

The transport was excellent and the guide was very knowlegable. To improve, I would suggest that some advance information is provided about the opportunities for additional trips such as the Gondola and lagoon boat, as these were an additional expense.

You need to tell people roughly how much cash they should bring for the extras. Venice trip asking for £110 for two is vastly different from the Verona trip that was half that.

It was an amazing trip and I highly recommend going. The tour guide was friendly and funny. He recommended places to eat, shops to look in and the best spots to visit throughout the day. We payed an extra fee for the gondola trip and boat tour (cash only) but it was worth it. Overall we had an amazing day and would go back.

Frederico, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the guided tour and the chance to explore a bit by ourselves. The boat trip around the lagoon was a little disappointing as the audio quality was not good and we couldn’t hear what was being said.

The Tour and Guide were very good and would recommend the tour to everybody However, the downside unfortunately it took. nearly 4 hours to reach Venice from our hotel. The only real complaint is that had I known in advance the schedule of travel times I would have thought twice about booking it.

It all went very smoothly. The coach arrived on time and was comfortable. The trip by boat from the coach park gave a good flavour of what Venice had to offer. The guided walk to St Marks and Rialto was a bit fast, and with the number of people packing into the streets, our group stretched out so far and our guide ended up so far ahead that the radio microphone she was using became out of range and stopped working. That's my only minor issue with a really great experience.

The convenience of having the transport organised for us was much better than us doing it ourselves. Once we got to Venice, we split off from the group as we had been before and didn't want to do the guided tour. Our tour gide was happy for people to do this which was great. It would have been better if there was a toilet on the bus.

Enjoyed being able to say I've been to Venice and walked around main Square. Total 8hrs travel. Had over 1hr guided walk. After 12 noon desperate for something to eat & drink in 35° heat. Collection at 7:35am no time for breakfast at hotel, no food/drinks included in nearly 4hr journey. Had boat tour at 3:30pm, which most people fell asleep during, not worth the extra €. Then return 4hrs. Missed dinner in hotel. Trip to Venice: we basically paid to go have lunch there. 14hr day 4-5hrs in Venice

Wonderful city, guide very informative. Extremely hot when we went so would recommend taking fans, umbrella or whatever for shade. There is no shade when you get off the transfer boat and guide kept us standing in the full Sun . Enjoyed the gondola ride. Wear clothing to cover knees and shoulders if visiting St Marks ( this advise should be in trip guide ). Coach journey was longer than we were told it would be
