The tour is booked through TUI and outsourced to a local company. The collected us from the hotel then took us to the companies office, where we stayed for approximately half an hour, nowhere to sit, just stood on the road side. The guide we had was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of facts, but all the group felt he was rushing us around, not good if you have poor mobility or health conditions which stop you from being frog marched about. After a short tour we were marched back to the mini bus, the guide told us we were going to a local beach for an hour, longer than we had stayed at Tulum. The beach was mainly for locals, very little shade, and no toilet facilities, the little shop was more of a kiosk, selling bottled water thankfully. We were thankfully collected and taken back to the hotel after an hour, only speaking to us to remind us about tipping the driver, which we did. The trip is not as advertised, if you book through your travel agent you, expect to be informed if it is a local company. We could have booked this trip from one of the companies in the area, and got a better deal, with other things included.
