Todas as acomodações têm banheiro privativo.

I think the description on the TUI website has to change. It is two full day trip. There is lunch provided on the 2nd day, which is not mentioned in the description. It is a positive add on but it means you are back to your hotel after 4pm. The description does not mention a school visit either. It also does not mention lack of any drinks. I do not mind if soft drinks and alcoholic drinks are at extra cost but water should be part of the trip as part of the meals. It is long, hot two days.

Fantastic trip and highly recommend if want to see the real Gambia. Ferry trip, brief market stop, Wassu stones, river trip (was just sublime- okay old boat but my goodness the views and to relax was just bliss), camp with monkeys goats and dogs- the latter two well behaved! Then smaller boat trip to Macarthy Island, janjanbureh whislte stop tour, visit a family and home! Ibrihim is a truly good man and amazing guide. Bring water, torch, battery pack and open mindedness.

Great trip, informative but more tipping than expected. Long slow boat trip of 4.5 hours plus several hours driving. You will see a lot of the Gambia. Basic but comfortable lodge stay. Interesting market walkabout. Definitely recommend.

Great

Lange reis.

Great

The overall experience was great fun. The travel part of the trip was too long. The ferry took 1 1/2 hours and should have taken 30-40 mins which I understand was out of your control but that was followed by a lengthy bus ride and a 5 1/2 hr boat ride which we were expecting to be 3hrs. The return day was spent almost entirely on the bus. The guides were excellent and the accommodation/food was really good. Same trip half the price with Gambia experience!

Great

We were lucky and saw the hippos which guide said often you don't. You need to know in February when you reach first stop at wassau the temp is 40c. No drinks are included so take litres of water. The camp was great but bring a torch only 1 candle in hut. Food nice but watch for monkeys they stole my evening meal and husbands bread. Was worried when told would be 36c at night and obviously no air con but woke at 2am as cold and had to put towels over us as no bedding. A good experience tho

Ibrahim was a great guide. We saw so much of the country and lots of wildlife - hippos, baboons, monkeys, vultures, hawks. We enjoyed the markets, the various boat trips and the visit to a family. We even came across a traditional Gambian wedding! Fascinating and humbling to see how people live in Gambia.

Pros Boat trip from Kantaur was great. Relaxing, good food and sights. Camp was very basic but good experience. Camp food very small portions but tasty Dancing with the local ladies was great Cons The only ferry 2 hours late We did not see the Fort or the market (not informed, no choice offered we just didn't go- guess to make up time No birdwatching walk around the camp in the morning - no explanation why not An uninteresting uninformative stroll around what is left (not much) of Georgetown

Great two days, enjoyed the camp and found it less basic than anticipated. It might have been appropriate to provide a bottle of water. It's two days of travel with small stops. The Hippos were a big feature and the bird variety was better than anticipated. Monkeys at breakfast was fun.

An incredible tour to go on if you’d like to experience the real Gambia and see outside the hotel Wonderful guide/driver who went out of his way to make one feel safe, supported and informed about all aspects of Gambian life and history. The boat trip, monkey feeding and overnight stay were highlights and the food also excellent providing you appreciate this is a true Gambian experience. If all you want is a suntan, then don’t take this trip, but for the adventurous, this is not to be missed!

Amazing experience if you want to see the real Gambia. Guide Kalle was very informative and knowledgeable in the history and people of Gambia. Ferry from Banjul to Barra was an eye opener. 4 hour river cruise very relaxing. We saw hippos, monkeys and various birds. Overnight stay in the camp was a lot of fun. Monkeys everywhere. Don’t leave food unattended else it will disappear! Pillows very hard and lumpy so take one with you. Toilet stops were mainly in the bush.

We took the tour with Kalle as our guide, he's been amazing: very informative, kind and helpful in any possible way. The tour itself really shows you all of the aspects of life in The Gambia, you pass through the busy port of Banjul, the market of Farafenni, and ride on the calm waters of the river!

The two days trip is just perfect to learn about Gambian history, culture and life generally. We have had the most amazing guide Assan who keep us entertained, happy and made sure all of us are ok. His knowledge is really good and as I have had many questions and interests he tried to answer to all of it. Also as I am mostly vegan and didn’t have opportunity to inform him about it until that day he still made sure that I have proper meal. He always stop for toilet brake when we needed and even ask locals if we can use their “bathroom”, made sure we have water all the time etc. He wasn’t pushy and asking for “donations” like other guides on different trip by Tui. Trip is NOT suitable for young children (we have had 8yo in our group and she was so brave and amazing) and elderly who are not properly mobile as the heat is unbelievable and journey is seriously long. It’s almost 600km in two days. Janjabureh camp is basic so be prepared that you can have spiders or ants somewhere in your hut, but there is mosquitos net and my night was absolutely pleasant. All places which were visited are great and we were explained a lot. Journey on the boat (4 hours or a bit more) was pleasant but I felt asleep thanks to heat. We have seen several families of hippos, so many birds including pelicans, monkeys on evening but no crocodiles, which is absolutely fine as it is nature and you can’t do anything about it. But the top was one of the village which we picked on the way back. We didn’t know which village we will go as our guide informed us that he is always picking up different one where he didn’t go yet and where tourists are not going. We bought them “presents” which could help all village- rice, potatoes, sugar, stock, candles, matches, sanitary pads, pencils, papers, pasta, soup etc. all group share the cost which was around £7/person (not children) and that’s amazing! Experience in the village was something we won’t forget. It’s important to take flash light, hat/ scarf, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, water with you. No need for trainers at all and in fact flip flops are perfect. And spear clothes necessary. Also would be great if women would wear something more suitable and not cropped t shirt and super short skirt and respect Gambian culture. Downsides: - food in the cam wasn’t good (dinner) in fact couscous was burned and vegetable soup was with lots of meat - no toilet paper in camp - not enough of soft drinks on the boat - informations on the website are basic and should be more detailed Overall: If you want to see real Gambia this trip is must. Ofcourse it depends who are you travelling with but I have had the most amazing people with me, the best guide ever, great drivers and cameraman men.

Best experience in Gambia. For only 100 or so you get an amazing two day tour seeing hippos, chimps, baboons etc. Assam and Dina were amazing tour guides with so much info. We collectively got together and bought food for a local village and we danced with them. The history and information along the way was fascinating and the 4 hours on the boat with the sun deck etc was amazing. If you come to Gambia you have to Do this tour.

The trip was interesting and exciting. The pace was just right for a 2-day adventure. I got to see various aspects of life in Gambia. The riverboat part of the trip was relaxing, with food and drinks served onboard. We saw several hippopotamus in the river. Our guide was super-knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The only thing I would change is to shorten the length of day two to make arrival time back at the hotel earlier. This could easily be achieved by having an earlier breakfast and departure from the camp.

The overnight trip to Georgetown enabled us to see more of the Gambia. It was an eye-opener. This excursion is more for "travellers" and not for your average package holiday maker. The only complaint we had was the fact that we had not toilet in our hut where we stayed overnight. The toilet was leaking all over the floor and it could not be fixed despite the staff at the lodge saying it could be fixed.

It was nice experience, however no hippos are in the river and I booked the trip mainly to see them, I feel that the informations on TUI leaflets are misleading.
