Calling all nature lovers, this full-day excursion takes you to the vast and verdant Metzabok Lagoon from Palenque. Surrounded by rainforest and home to 27 lagoons, the protected reserve boasts biodiverse flora and fauna and is shrouded in Mayan mythology. Take a canoe ride to caves and cenotes, and see ancient Mayan cave paintings. Following a 3-hour drive, you’ll arrive in the heart of the protected area.
