What we expect

Located at Rådhusplassen in the heart of Oslo, the Nobel Peace Center stands as a testament to human achievements and aspirations for peace. The museum is housed in the historic Vestbanen building from 1872, right across from the City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony takes place every year. The Peace Center features both permanent and temporary exhibitions focusing on the Nobel Peace Prize laureates, Alfred Nobel, and the history of the Peace Prize.

Every Friday at 12.00 (in the summer half-year 9th of May-October), a peace dove is released from the window above the entrance, together with “The Good News of the Week”

Excellent

Had a great time visiting the Nobel Peace Centre. Was super interesting to discover the history of how the prize came about and to see all the amazing people throughout history who have been awarded. I did find it odd that in one room everything was out of chronological order date wise.
