Enjoy the coach ride from Florence to Monteriggioni, one of the medieval gems located on a hilltop among the beautiful Chianti hills. Inside its still intact walls, you will drink in history and relive the atmosphere of olden times.Your experience continues to the stately city of Siena, which is famous for its splendid examples of Gothic architecture and the Palio horse race. Follow your guide to the suggestive Piazza del Campo with the magnificent Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia. Visit Piazza del Duomo and be impressed by the imposing, stunning Cathedral, one of the finest achievements of Italian Gothic.Before leaving Siena, you will have plenty of free time to discover its historic centre at your own leisure.Your next stop is San Gimignano, famous for its white wine, the world-renowned Vernaccia, and its skyscrapers also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Explore the city independently, stroll through the narrow streets and admire the relaxing landscape.Finally, move on to the Chianti area with its picture-postcard landscapes. You will have the chance to taste the best Chianti red wine in a rustic winery along with homemade snacks and to sample extra virgin olive oil.

It was an absolutely amazing trip from the very beginning. The places, itinerary and timings were perfect. Liza’s knowledge (tour guide) and personality and genuine interest in people made it feel very personal whilst she was managing 74 people from across the world. She needs a gold medal!
