What to expect
Departing Melbourne in the afternoon, you'll journey directly down to Phillip Island to visit the area's cutest attraction: the adorable little penguins!A visit to Point Grant and The Nobbies allows you to enjoy views over Westernport Bay and the Bass Strait, including Seal Rocks, home to Australia's largest population of fur seals. Then, it's onto the main event, where just after dark every night the world’s smallest penguins waddle ashore after spending the day fishing out at sea. You’ll be truly enchanted as the stars of the show emerge from the surf and pass right before your eyes on their journey back to their homes. Your guide will ensure you are able to get the very best vantage point to enjoy the Penguin Parade. After the parade, you will have plenty of time to explore the Visitor Centre before beginning your journey back to Melbourne.

Not allowed:
As the tour operates in small touring vehicles, there is no storage space for baby strollers, wheelchairs, or other large items

You may be able to upgrade to the more personalized Penguins Plus, an exclusive viewing platform with a maximum capacity of 200 guests. There's an additional charge per person for this experience. Due to its popularity, we recommend booking this in advance
Know in advance:
Please confirm the pickup time directly with the local operator at least 48 hours before departure. You can find their contact information in the voucher after booking
Limit your luggage to a 5kg soft bag
If you travel with children, inform the local operator of their age. All children aged 4 years and under must be securely fastened in a restraint seat that is provided by the operator
There is only a small amount of walking involved in this tour, so no significant level of fitness is required
Photography is not permitted at the Penguin Parade for the well-being of the little penguins
Remember to bring:
Appropriate clothing for all weather conditions. Warm clothes and rain jackets in the winter months are strongly suggested, as it can get chilly on the Island when waiting for the penguin's arrival
