What to expect
This tour will give you an opportunity to see Belgium’s most charming medieval cities in one day. Both cities have been declared World Heritage by UNESCO.In Ghent, you will discover St Bavo’s Cathedral, the City Hall, the typical Belfry and St Nicholas’ Church as well as the medieval harbor where students, tourists and locals gather. See the mighty fortress which was the former residence of the Counts of Flanders.After lunch in Bruges, get a photo stop on the banks of the romantic Minnewater and visit the picturesque Beguinage. Your guide will explain the history of the city from the Viking Age to its downfall at the end of the Middle Ages. You will see all the highlights of Bruges: the Basilica of the Holy Blood, the Bell Tower, the Church of Our Lady, St. John’s Hospital, etc. Optionally, you will have the opportunity to take a pleasant boat trip on the city’s narrow canals.
