For an experience that's 100% Jamaica, look no further than this exclusive private excursion. A tour and tasting of the Appleton Estate rum factory gets the day off to a great start, followed by a refreshing dip in the famous YS Falls and a boat ride over to the one and only Pelican Bar. This is one of our private TUI Collection excursions, which give you a local flavour of the destination while offering you the freedom and flexibility to enjoy the day your way. Kick off at the Appleton Estate and you'll tour the factory that produces what many consider the finest rums in Jamaica. Learn about the distillation process, juice your own cane and, of course, taste the honey-coloured rum. On to the cascading waters of the YS Falls, you'll cool off in the refreshing waterfall pools with a swim.After lunch, we board a boat and glide out to the Pelican Bar. This ramshackle hut on stilts has to be seen to be believed. Standing on glittering waters, it's probably the coolest bar in the world. Don't forget to carve your name into the wood and if you have a flag handy, bring it out to barman Floyd. With luck, you might spot dolphins too.

The paperwork said collection at 8am. We got a phone call at 6am while still in bed to say our driver was here. We left at 6.30am and thankfully we did. 6.30am really should be a standard or atleast 7am. We negotiated YS falls first and then the rum place. I wanted to enjoy the YS falls in peace - not at lunch time with hordes of people. We booked private so we could flip the itinary. Also drinking rum at 9.30am would have been too much and the. Walking on slippy rocks? YS falls should be 1st.

Our driver was lovely made you feel very relaxed and told us what to expect and times etc. the Rum estate was definitely worth the trip, YS falls was beautiful and the food there was lovely. Driving through the mountains you got to see the real Jamaica which we loved. The pelican bar was great to go see but glad it wasn’t just that we visited as you only need a hour there to experience and the loo situation at the pelican bar is not something you want to try. Overall a fabulous day

A little longer at YS Falls would have been nice, but it’s a long day as it is so understand why not. We really enjoyed seeing more of Jamaica, the countryside is beautiful. All 3 of the experiences were really good fun. Our guide Novelette was fantastic, made the day more interesting.

Was a good tour and the guide Kevin was amazing, he took time to tell us about the history of Jamacia and answered our questions etc we really enjoyed his company. Lunch was ok but was rushed as had to get to pelican bar so although fine wouldn’t have been my preference to eat on the go. The pelican bar itself was ok, too many people at the bar and not enough time to relax and enjoy the bar. Would recommend going though

This tour would have scored 10 if it hadn't included the Pelican Bar. The Appleton Estate and YS Falls were fantastic. The bar was very under whelming, herded like cattle onto the boat and dropped off at the bar, and were told 1 hour before the boat returns. The bar was very full, standing room only, for an overpriced beer and then shuffled around to squeeze more people on. the queue for the overpriced drinks was so long that you were lucky to get served before your return boat left.

We loved the private tour as we had a private guide and a nice car to ourselves but I must say we did expect a little more from each stop, free drinks etc it’s sold as a VIP tour but not so much. Lisa our tour guide was amazing and we learnt so much from her! The falls we really good but we didn’t know our way round and couldn’t find the pools ??????? so didn’t spend much time here. Could do with longer at pelican bar! Also there was miscommunication on pick up time so we were late!

we got to the arrival point we was informed by the driver that he had been waiting for us since 7 but It was booked for 8,I had paid for a private tour and this was not the case, also at the hut we was not informed before hand or before I had booked the excursion that drinks and food had to be paid for, I thought with paying over £400 we wouldn’t be cramped with so many people on the Appleton rum excursion witch was the most important for my dad on his birthday and would all be free on the day.

Wow what a day, it’s worth to pay the extra to have your own driver. Lisa was our driver who was punctual, informative, nothing was too much trouble. We started off with Appleton Rum Tour which later gave me Dutch courage as it was as i ask my better half to become my wife at the Pelican Bar
