What we expect

Discover the vibrant artistic heritage of Asia at the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM), with a special focus on the ancestral cultures that have shaped Singapore’s identity. Founded in 1997 and housed in its iconic riverside building along the Singapore River since 2003, the museum traces its origins to the historic Raffles Museum of the mid-19th century.

ACM invites visitors to explore how Asian cultures are deeply interconnected with one another and with the wider world. Drawing on Singapore’s unique history as a global port city, the museum brings Asia’s past to life through stories of trade, migration, and cultural exchange.

Not allowed:

No pets allowed
No images of the museum or its collection may be reproduced for commercial use without permission from ACM

Know in advance:

Open daily: 10am–7pm, Fridays: 10am – 9pm
Admission to all galleries ends 30 minutes before closing time
Seniors 60 years and above can enjoy a concession admission. Valid proof of identity (e.g. passport, ID card) must be presented at the Visitor Services counter
Free admission to all permanent galleries for Singapore citizens, permanent residents
Free admission for children below 6 years old
Children must be accompanied by adults at all times
