What to expect
Some of Santorini's best sights are lined up in this afternoon trip which includes the ancient village of Mesa Gonia, Pyrgos at the highest point on the island and beautiful Oia – one of the most photographed places in Greece.
First up is Mesa Gonia. This tiny village is the oldest on the island and is surrounded by vineyards. From there, you'll drive to Pyrgos, Santorini's former capital. This pretty place is all sugar-cube houses, neo-classical mansions and narrow lanes twisting up to a Venetian castle, which offers up fabulous island views.

Great to see parts of this beautiful island that you would not see if you did not join an organized tour. This was our second tour, and the guide pretty much repeated everything we heard on the first tour, I think I could conduct a tour now! Need to improve the experience so that each tour feels different, the second tour as a result was a lot less informative and less enjoyable

It is sold as an island tour. We first go wine tasting which is not at a winery? Then we go to a goast town which is now being redeveloped however felt it was the guides chance to visit the pub for an hour. 10 min walk and then meet in the bar. Then we go to highest town which is nice but then we meet in bar and finally to the best part which was excellent. Worth visiting, good guide telling you where to see sun set however again suggested we meet in bar. Then guide asked twice for tip!!!

Wine tasting ok , Ely more like being dumped in a room , taste these then buy some , no field to see? No orchards Second part was disgraceful, waste of time , some parts very dangerous on the walk , absolutely get rid of this part of the tour , spend more time on the two main sections . I can’t believe in 2026 you took us to such a dump , holes in the ground covered by pallets , a very dodgy walk way bridge Value for money , not far of getting a taxi their and back so not bad

Enjoyed the tour overall. Wasn’t much to see in mesa gonia and cafe didn’t have air con on. Wine tasting was good. Guide v knowledgeable and gave good tips. Driver on way back to Kamari had window open so air con wasn’t working properly.

Der Vulkan war sehr interessant und das Schwimmen im Schwefelwasser war auch ok . Hat nicht so lange gedauert. Aber dann ging es bergab. Das Essen war nicht in Ordnung. Mussakka war alt und ranzig und die Hygiene ließ zu wünschen übrig. Dann die lange Bootsfahrt zurück war einfach zu lange. Über eine Stunde die Strecke war dann schon langweilig. Der englisch sprechende Guide war absolut fehl am Platz. Infos waren nicht zufriedenstellend bzw er hat fast nichts gesprochen. Alle anderen Trips ok

Overall the tour gave us a great overview of Santorini. The feedback - this tour could be shortened, as 3 hours in Oia waiting for the sunset seemed too much when it is so hot/crowded and we spent a lot of time sitting around waiting. Other elements such as the wine tasting then felt slightly rushed. In addition to this, I would recommend giving guests a warning that there is a lot of steps and climbing involved, as there were less able people on the tour who were then not able to participate.

Es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen, unsere Reiseleiterin war perfekt. Sie hat uns während der Weintour zum Lachen gebracht, uns dazu animiert, ein paar Dinge aus dem Haus zu kaufen, und uns Tipps gegeben, wo und wie wir Fotos machen können. Es war einfach großartig! We hadden een geweldige reisleidster, maar de kosten voor deze excursie zijn echt fors en dan blijkt bij aankomst van het museum voor oudheden dat de entreeprijs niet is inbegrepen. Je krijgt 50 minuten, terwijl de audiotour 1,5 uur duurt. Echt een grote tegenvaller en een enorme teleurstelling die de beleving van de excursie echt naar beneden brengt en dat is heel jammer

The driver was very careful on the greek roads and it was a comfortable ride. Our guide Maggie was lovely, a little bossy at times but I suppose that's the ex school teacher in her. I didn't like the fact she referred to us as her 'children' we are grown adults. Less time in the smaller places (ghost village etc) and more time in Oia would have made this a perfect trip as our time in Oia seemed rushed and not able to see much.

Notre guide, Kim, était vraiment très professionnel. En tant que francophone, nous avons compris toutes les informations qu'elle a données. Durant tout le trajet, elle a expliqué plein de détail sur Santorin. Le chauffeur du car, George, était très plaisant. Maggie, leuke gids, heeft veel verteld, sprak duidelijk en langzaam. Jammer dat de microfoon in dec2e bus van mindere kwaliteit was, daardoor was ze soms moeilijk te verstaan. Gelukkig is zij Belgische, dus konden later nog gewoon wat navragen in het Nederlands :-)) Erg leuke dame, weet veel van het eiland want ze woont daar al jaren zelf.

Guide very good, winery 4 years ago (Santos) was amazing with good tour and stunning views. This wine tasting is very poor in comparison. Having to pick up in Kamari also adds too much time in the coach, at least you don’t drop off there too anymore. Return is too late for evening meal and entertainment, most on the trip didn’t realise that and should have been made clearer

La guide Maggy connaissait bien son sujet et nous a emmenés et dirigés vers des endroits avec des vue superbes sur la Caldera de Santorin ainsi qu'à Ioa. Les différents rendez-vous sont donnés en amont et parfois il est difficile de retrouver le groupe. Une excursion à recommander !

de info door de Tui vertegenwoordiger was niet volledig/ er werd niet gezegd dat er in Oia gebleven werd voor de zonsondergang, waardoor er door de deelnemers geen gepaste kledij meegebracht werd en tevens werd er niet aangeduid op welk uur er terug in het hotel afgezet werd. er was ook een probleem met het vervoer terug naar Oia uiteindelijk beslisten wij om de groep in Oia te verlaten, omdat we vreesden in de drukte de groep uit het oog te verliezen; maar alle respect voor Maggy de gidse

Kim, out guide was very knowledgeable about the island. We all thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this tour, my elderly mother in law struggled with the amount of steep steps at Oia though which could have been explained on booking. We had a fantastic day though and would recommend this to anyone to do.

The tour was overal really good, nice selection of things to do. We really enjoyed the wine tasting, Pyrgos and all the places we visited but I was a bit disappointed with the timing for some of these. In Pyrgos it would have been nicer to have extra 20 minutes, once we got up the stairs and came back there was no time to use the toilet without rushing. And the most disappointing was the timing around Oia. Sunset at 19:03 and be in the bus at 19:15?? Impossible if in the city.We were not pleased

Die Tour war gut organisiert. Die Weinprobe bestand aus drei Weinen und jeweils ein Fingerbreit gefüllt. Insgesamt ergab das noch nicht mal ein Glas. Das war ehrlich gesagt schade. Aber ansonsten hat die Tour Spaß gemacht.

Coach pick up on time and a short journey to the port to get on the boat. The boat crew were so lovely and very imformative about the sailing route and the areas we were sailing through. The boat stops for a swim in the hot springs well worth a jump of the boat ?? The 3 course meal at the restaurant (managed to gwt a seafront table) was very nice and came with wine too. And what a better way to see the Sunset than on the water - it was stunning ! Well worth the money .

We wasn't told that it was a ghost village for first stop. There was literally nothing too see apart from a view up a hill. Lots of walking involved. 140 steps. My daughter is pregnant and if shes have known about the walking involved we wouldn't have booked. Secondxstoo again we were told there was historic ruins. There was a coffee shop and a view. Again all up hill. Final stop was horrendous. No sunset at it was cloudy and we had to queue to take photos. Again the walking uphill was awful

The bus was 20 minutes late, we were first on? Guide Maggie was informative. Wine tasting was good, but not a stunning location. Mesa Gonia was a non entity. Pyrgos was good and Oia was lovely. When we got to Oia, we were told that after sunset we had to be back on the bus within 15 minutes. We were advised of a place to go to see the sunset, a cocktail bar by the car park. The sunset could have been anywhere. It was all about getting out of Oia fast not about the sunset! That was disappointing.

De wijnproeverij was leuk. De wandelingen door de stadjes vielen behoorlijk tegen. De reisleidster liep veel te snel waardoor er nauwelijks gelegenheid was tot foto’s maken. Zij was al halverwege haar praatje als er nog mensen moesten aansluiten. In het tweede stadje liep zij een trap op zonder zich te bekommeren over mensen die beneden bleven. De tijd voor Oia (het hoogtepunt) was veel te kort. De terugreis in het kleine busje naa Kamari voelde we ons erg onveilig bij door rijstijl chauffeur.

Wederom de gids die tegenviel, de trip was engelstalig aangekondigd , alle uitleg in het Engels,OK. Maar met zoveel Vlamingen op de bus zou praktische info toch in het Nederlands mogen , dat is een kleine moeite en zoveel aangenamer voor mensen die niet goed Engels verstaan.De gids is een vlaming. Ook dreigende taal als iemand te laat terug op de bus zou aankomen ( letterlijk ‘ik wordt zeer On happy) Ook hier weer de gejaagdheid, zie vorig verslag.Ook te duur voor wat het uiteindelijk was.

We absolutely loved this tour. The guide Maggie was excellent and really informative and made sure we all had a really good experience. The tour was well organised. The wine tasting was fun and of course the trip to Oia was amazing and we had plenty of time to explore and see the sunset before being dropped back off at our hotel in time for dinner. Kim our guide was excellent, really informative and organised. Giving lots of interesting information at each point and made sure everyone was included, as we had a lady with a walking stick, Kim made sure we waited for her each time. The castle climb was fun and great views. Wine tasting was good. My husband doesn’t like wine but still took part. The dessert wine was delicious. Oia is a lovely pretty place with some boutiques. The sunset topped it all off. Big thanks to Kim and the driver.

Good trip. Plenty of free time in oia. Too much really unless you had a meal there. The wine was nice but note it wasn’t a vineyard just a distribution point. A good afternoon and evening out. Great recommendation of the restaurant Four Winds. Oia absolutely packed. A little bit rushed again to wander through the streets , eat and watch the sunset. Sunset was on over rated but quite nice but we had to rush back to the coach and had to watch from a car park. Enjoyed the villages and listening to Kim talking about the island

Tour delayed by 30 mins, no explanation given, temporary bus to first location had no air conditioning, very oppressive,, felt nauseous and trip rushed trying to make the time up. First activity was the wine making which we did not enjoy due to feeling sick after the very hot journey. Expected better from a Tui trip

Big coach with good air con was nice, enjoyed seeing and hearing some of the islands history, exploring some of the old streets was good, liked there were options if you didn’t feel up to a climb up a hill, you could instead explore the shops and cafes in the village , the sunset in oia was the best , took the tour guide advice and got a prime spot in one of the tavernas overlooking the sunset, with cocktails and great food , highly recommend!

De wijnproeverij is niet wat ik er van verwacht had. Ik had graag meer gezien/ervaren over bv het maken van de wijn etc. Dit was alleen een commercieel verkooppraatje om wijn en andere producten te verkopen. De gids mag een wat 'persoonlijker' verhaal vertellen; de gegeven informatie kwam erg 'voorgelezen' over, in eigen woorden vertellen komt veel beter over en is interessanter om naar te luisteren. De drukte in Oia benauwde ons heel erg, maar daar kunnen jullie ook niets aan doen.

Bus was over 30 minutes late collecting us at the start of the tour. This made some parts of the tour feel rushed. Wine tasting experience good. Guide Kim was knowledgable however the sunset Oia experience felt rushed as we were expected back on the bus by 8.25pm when sunset was not until 8.12pm. This meant we could not watch the sunset from the point in Oia we would have wanted.

Our guide was amazing. Really knowledgeable and welcoming. She made the excursion interesting, providing information about the villages we visited along with history of the island throughout our coach journey. She took the time to chat to us and answered all our questions. She offered suggestions of other things to do on the island and told us what to avoid. She really helped us plan our holiday to make sure we get the best of Santorini.

The wine tasting felt a little like an afterthought. It was too early in the trip and only 3 wines were offered rather than the usual 5 we have experienced before. The guide was really informative and provided a lot of relevant information but there was no history to the vineyard itself or any tips on how to taste the wine properly. Later we passed Santo Wines and the guide remarked that this was the best vineyard in the area - so why wasn’t there wine tasting held there? Left us a bit cold.

Arrived @ pickup point 15 mins early. A bus came - seemed to drop off people from airport - then drove off. 40 mins later we were worried. Tried to find contact details on app/email. Same bus finally arrived back. Guide said they dropped airport people off first the went round picking up people for the trip. If she had said that when the bus 1st came it would have been less stressful. No room left to describe rest of trip which was good but felt had to put complaint across.

Our tour guide on the day was wonderful. She was friendly and very informative and clearly loves the island of Santorini! This showed in her knowledge and passion as she talked about the island and its history as we travelled around the island on the bus. When we stopped at each point of interest, again she was very knowledgeable and gave us tips and recommendations of places for the best views and of places to eat and drink. We were not disappointed! We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect!

The guide and tour stops were great - Kim the guide is helpful and very engaging. The tour was let down by TUI putting cost before customers which involved swapping to a second bus at the wine tasting session That would have been ok but the second bus has no effective air conditioning working and the bus was packed with very hot people. At £53 per head and 50 people on the tour and well functioning bus should be a prerequisite.

Die Weinverkostung war viel zu früh am Tag und leider auch nicht so schön von der Atmosphäre. Unser Guide Iannis war toll! Er hat Alles super erklärt und hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen, immer Alle im Blick gehabt und Alles mehrfach wiederholt, sodass man Alles gut verstanden hat. Seine Restaurantempfehlung in Oia war gut! Insgesamt wirklich ein toller Ausflug, der vom Guide lebt!

Er werdt veel te veel gedaan in te korte tijd daardoor hebben we maar nauwelijks kunnen genieten van het mooie plaatsje waar we als laatste kwamen. Snel eten want anders vertrok de bus weer . Te veel plaatsen gezien en te veel gelopen in korte tijd . Wijn proeverij was rond uit slecht. Stonden hapjes op tafel maar werdt niet verteld wat je het beste bij de wijn kon eten . Ook geen goeie uitleg over de wijn. Was rommelig . Dit zou ik niemand aan raden. Reisleiding was prima . Vriendelijk ook.

The guide was brilliant, so knowledgeable and really engaging. I have to be honest, the driver let this down, he was half an hour late and then drove like we’d robbed a bank, so many of us in the coach felt sick, perhaps arrive on time and remove the pressure to drive like a lunatic. The wine tasting is also a bit pointless, barely a mouthful of wine. The tour guide however won me over on those criticisms, she was just brilliant and the locations you visit were pretty good.

We where picked up almost 40 minutes late by a taxi then dropped off to a tour that had already begun so we missed seeing the first stop. We where then put on a coach and driven back to part of the island we where staying at so a one hour round trip on transport for no reason. Just a poor trip from start to finish I was surprised we where not offered a refund on the trip as we didn’t got a good experience at all

The experience before we arrived wasn't the best with tui, changing our friends room. But that was changed before we arrived, the holiday has been just lovely. Very beautiful hotel, with amazing staff. Highly recommend a Tui hotel , 5*.

We were missold this trip. My partner has mobility issues. We checked with Vivien if it would be suitable for him and his rollator. She said yes so we were excited. Nobody said Pyrgos has 140 steps.. Neither were we expecting to be dropped in a car park at the bottom of Oia with even more steps. If we had taken the public bus we would have been dropped by the square much closer to the view and could have stayed for the sunset .So Paul spent afternoon sitting in cafes waiting for group to return.

The coach was over half an hour late and nobody informed us so we were just about to leave when it turned up. The tour guide was hard to understand and she just spoke to the front few people, not waiting until the whole group was with her and close enough to hear. Having done the lighthouse tour earlier in the week, it highlighted the poor quality of this tour in comparison.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt, mit eigenem Pool an unserer Terrasse. Der Service war stets super und die Mitarbeiter freundlich! Wenn überhaupt etwas zu kritisieren ist, wäre das , dass die Speisen zum Teil etwas heißer sein könnten…Aber geschmacklich war alles top!! Besonders die Nachspeisen ein Gedicht!! Wir haben einen tollen Ausflug über TUI gebucht…die Insel ist traumhaft schön!!! Wir kommen wieder…es gibt noch viel zu erleben hier!!

We were the 3rd couple to arrive at the collection point, met with the guide and got checked off the list but when it came to boarding the bus we did not have a seat available and felt the guide should be aware of how many passengers she should be able to accommodate on the bus. We then had to be taken to meet another bus to start our tour. We felt this could have been avoided with better planning.

The stops were all very interesting and Kim again pointed out great photo opportunities to ensure we have forever lasting memories. The wine tasting was good and the tour around the Ghost village. The trip was brilliant. Kim the guide was amazing full of information. The wine tasting was a lovely experience. Finishing up in Oia was just simply the best part of the trip she even recommended a bar to go watch the sunset which just made the experience even better. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone there is a fair bit of walking to do and steps to climb but worth it for the views and amazing pictures you get.

Fantastic afternoon in Santorini. Stopping off to sample three lovely local wines. Kim was very informative throughout the tour with a wealth of knowledge about the islands history and geology. The sunset in Oia was stunning and a perfect end to the trip.

The visit to Pyrgos village was interesting, the time there was enough. The wine tasting was good, but no pressure to buy. The visit to Mesa Gonia, the abandoned village was a waste of time and could have been better spent at Oia. The visit to Oia was the main attraction of this trip. However a departure 10 minutes after sunset was not enough time to fully enjoy seeing the sunset from the iconic viewpoints. The guide was very keen for us to see the sunset from a restaurant near the coach park.

I would knock off the last village trip the ghost town. Was like a. Building site despite bei no ruins from the earthquake. But was not nice and I think there should be much more time in Oia to enjoy a meal. We were rushed so much. We had to rush to the coach literally as soon as the sun set. Missing all the sweating colours after the sun goes down. Such a shame the highlight was rushed! Would not do this trip again I would do it independently !

Gids was vlot en goed, alleen werd op einde vd avond een gast achtergelaten en vertrok de bus. Er was zogezegd een oplossing maar dit was niet zo. Het gemak van vervoer was goed, alleen moest de bus té vroeg weg, waardoor sommigen de zonsondergang niet volledig konden zien.

The trip guide Yannis was very good, new the history of the areas we visited very well. Booking was easy enough, (Nikki) TUI rep, everything explained thoroughly. Ghost town tour was good, chapel in the village of Messa Gonia, wine tasting was interesting. More of a sales pitch more than anything, but overall great. The finale was the trip to OIA, to be fair you need to be quite nimble on your feet, very hard going if you need assisted walking, but great overall, good experience, Nick and Adele

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable but not our favorite tour. Unsure Mesa Gonia was a 'must see', it was difficult to navigate the winding and narrow streets in such a large group, also difficult to hear the guide at times as we were part of such a large group. Equally, it was difficult to stay as a group in busy Oia as there were so many of us. We had to be back at the coach within 15 minutes of the sun setting which meant you couldn't relax and enjoy the sunset without clock watching.

Bus zat helemaal vol, zitplaatsen te klein. Absoluut geen beenruimte. Slecht of bijna geen airco. Halverwege de tour er uit gestapt en een taxi terug genomen. We hadden geen zin om nog verder te gaan als haringen in een ton. Had voor geld wel wat meer comfort gehad.

"Winetasting" was oké! De 2de stop (Mesa Gonia / Exo Gonia?), was niet echt de moeite. Pyrgos was dan weer zeer mooi, maar helemaal niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht te been zijn of een slechte conditie hebben. Ik denk niet dat dat op voorhand was vermeld? De gids ging op kop van de groep naar boven, verschillende mensen konfden hem echter niet volgen en zijn nooit boven geraakt ... Oia is prachtig maar niet te doen met zo'n grote groep ... weer hetzelfde verhaal, de gids stapte maar door ...

Kim our guide was fantastic, friendly, approachable. She kept us informed on everything. The places we visited were amazing. The tour was so well organised. What we didn't like was the aggressive driving style of the bus driver on the way home. Driving really close to and overtaking quad bikes. Flashing his lights and sounding his horn. It was very dangerous. It was a shame as up until then his driving was professional and first class. The return journey resembled a 'Mario Cart' game.

Our tour guide, Kim, really made this experience for us, her knowledge and ability to make it interesting and informative was wonderful. The trip itself covered a lot of ground in such a short time giving us a very good basis for further exploration. The vineyard tasting was ok, but expected to be able to tour the vineyard which was not the case, we also found the wine offered for sale very overpriced.

A good tour of the island to see areas we would not have visited without the tour. Just beware of the walking up steep inclines and steps in the heat of the afternoon. So good shoes, a hat and water! Tip for Oia grab yourself a table in a bar overlooking the coast line and blue domes rather than battle the tourist queues!

When we reached the destination for the sunset Janos recommended the restaurant Delino which was beautiful with great food & views. The only part of the trip was visiting the “ghost town”. This did seem like we were filling time unfortunately.

The trip was interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable about Santorini. My husband and I enjoyed watching the sun set from Oia and the amazing views from Pygros. We felt visiting the ghost village did not add value to the trip. Unfortunately, there was a very nasty large white dog in the village that attacked a member of our party.

We thought the guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The tour itself in terms of locations was nice, and we particularly enjoyed Pyrgos. Oia was insane - glad we've done it, but definitely do not need to go back. We thought the wine tasting was the weakest part (hardly any wine!) and a bit of a rip-off: in wine tastings we've done in Porto and elsewhere they were far more generous with their tastings.

Guide war super, sehr informativ. Oia muss man mit sehr vielen Menschen Mengen rechnen. Für den Preis hätte ich mir einen kleinen Imbiss oder Snack gewünscht, da man schon sehr lange unterwegs ist und an die Stopp's gebunden ist. Insgesamt aber eine sehr schöne Tour.

Amazing tour. Really organised from start to finish. Bus driver petros was great along with our guide Alex who really made the day. I would recommend wearing trainers as there is some walking involved some of it slightly uphill but they take it slow so not too taxing. The ghost town was really interesting. Peros is great, that was highlight for me. Would have preferred more time there. Oia is beautiful but very crowded and expensive. But overall amazing trip! 100% go for it u won’t regret it!

From the beginning of the trip the tour guide Yannis was organised and professional. He gave lots of information and tips for our time in Oia especially. We experienced a wonderful sunset because of his advise .The driver too was excellent Petros. Well worth the money spent . We had a great day . Thank you .

The sights you see on this tour are amazing but be aware of the amount of walking involved especially up steps through narrow passage ways, if you are less mobile then this tour isn't for you. Our guide was nice enough and informative but did a lot of clock watching especially at the wine tasting. Oia was packed when we arrived so we found a restaurant (The Hungry Donkey) and sat and people watched.

We enjoyed the wine tasting and Pyrgos. The ghost village was ok but doesn’t really really like a ‘ghost’ village anymore as many of the properties are occupied and we evidenced the church being painted! Oia is extremely expensive. If the tour departed later, then we could have experienced the sunset from the castle but we didn’t have time to walk back from there to the coach for its departure. The guide did however recommend an ideal spot albeit in an expensive local bar.

The wine tasting was in a room that felt too small for the size of group and we changed coaches there to a coach with less leg room which was problematic for my husband.The ghost village was not very well maintained or preserved and we didn't think the ghost village worthy of a visit. We enjoyed the rest of the tour and the guide was excellent.

Our main focus was to visit Oia during sunset but we all thoroughly enjoyed exploring Pyrgos and Mesa Gonia and would not have visited it otherwise! Kim who was our guide had a great knowledge about the Island and we all learnt something new about Santorini!

The most important point to make is that my son was attacked by a large resident dog at Mesa Gonia, absolutely terrifying for him and us his parents, my husband sustained bruising to his arm whilst trying to remove the dog from our sons back. This dog was resident, charging from an open door, it didn’t back off after being removed instead barring its teeth at me. I am extremely worried for future tourists and did try to contact TUI on our return but no available email, no one answering phone ???

We had a brilliant trip, with an extra stop at the 'ghost' village. Our rep Kim was very helpful and knowledgeable. The wine tasting was brilliant too. Unfortunately Oia was a bit disappointing as the sunset vanished behind clouds but other than that we enjoyed our trip.

The tour was a varied experience with a knowledgeable guide. It felt, however, that it was a bit rushed - to walk up 120 steps with varying levels of fitness of the guests and then be given 20 minutes to get to the bottom and that included free time was a little rushed.

The ghost town and the view walk were quite rushed with a lot of walking in the hot sun. These could have been slowed down a little. The wine tasting was good but some of the needed time for the first two visits could have been taken from the wine tasting stop. Oia was very busy but I suppose this can be expected. The quiet was good. She kept everyone on time and was very organised. Overall it was a good excursion.

Ollie, our guide, was amazing. She was so informative about the island and the places we visited. She also had a very good sense of humour and made our excursion really enjoyable. More time spent at the winery would be great. Give time to have a coffee and enjoy the fabulous views. Less time in Oía. Three hours was just too much in 32° heat and it was very very busy. The sunset was stunning though & we watched it from a bar/restaurant that was recommended (it’s expensive though.)

Onduidelijk vooraf waar we werden opgehaald. Nog foutieve informatie gekregen van klantenservice. 20 minuten lopen vanaf ons hotel. Onzekere start dus. Verder zeer slecht begaanbare weggetjes om te lopen terwijl werd gezegd dat deze excursie makkelijk toegankelijk was. Anderhalf uur voor een wijnproeverij terwijl dat in half uur klaar was. De gids deed wel haar best.

I would skip out the first visit to the abandoned village and spend longer at the next one. Give more time for wondering around independently. Oui lovely - rushed back to coach but then held up by 45 minutes and then transferred onto a mini bus at first stop. Very late back. Scary ride home mad taxi driver! Need to sort out transport as on the way we got on 3 buses. Could have just booked from hotel and gone straight to Oui.

Enjoyable afternoon and evening out. Particularly enjoyed the wine tasting and the free time to explore Oia. Natalie the guide was very knowledgeable of the island. Our trip started and finished at Perissa Beach and the trip was about 8 and a half hours long so be prepared for a long day.

When we arrived at Pyrgos the guide told us to leave our belongings as we would only be staying an hour. When we returned to the coach, they had swapped the coach and left our bag with all our money behind. Enjoyed learning about the history of each of the places visited. Bus on time but we weren't on the list that the guide had despite having booked the previous morning. Coach back delayed as we were assured that we had to return by 8.35 and coach would leave at 8.45. This was not the case and we had to wait over half hour to sort out issue re missing passengers. Would also be useful to have map of spots to view sunset rather than just a general direction.

The mini bus sent was so small, cramped in the back not able to see , my girlfriend had to sit alone at the front as it was so clostrophbic, which spoilt the trip as we booked as a couple and expected to enjoy it as a couple, should have been made aware of this at booking , awaiting tui response to our original complaint _- still waiting !!!!

Trip to winery and the explanations of the wines with the food was very good. More time at the winery would have been better than walking around two villages were one was a little more built up than the other. A bit rushed at the end to leave Oia after the Sunset. A more relaxed end to the day would have been much better.

We enjoyed all of the trip it was interesting around the haunted village and the highest village but we didn’t realise you were walking as much especially in 30 degrees plus.The highest vineyard was good and tasting some wine and the view was amazing, The sunset in Oia was good to look around first then wait for sunset was worth the wait,the tour guide she was very good so overall we had a great day.

Very enjoyable trip. Kim was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable about the local history, which was fascinating. I am so pleased we did this trip as now have a better understanding of the history and architecture around the island. Visit to Pyrgos was lovely. Actually preferred it to the famous Oia, and would not of gone there without this excursion. Wine tasting was nice for something a bit different and broke the day up nicely. Excellent value for money, would highly recommend ??

Overall, a beautiful tour. Kim was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and brilliant vibe. The whole experience was smooth and had enough time in the villages. Couldn’t recommend this experience enough. The only advise I would give, is take some loose change because some areas require €1 each to use the toilet facilities (which are very clean and well looked after).

Oia is a beautiful place HOWEVER the crowds are ridiculous. It spoils the experience. You can’t get anywhere near the point shown in the media or TUI photos. There are people crawling everywhere. Which is such a shame because the tour of the villages and the visit to the winery are excellent. Kim the guide is lovely and very informative- she even showed us a spot in OIA where we did actually see the sunset so big thankyou for to her for that. But visiting OIA - go early to avoid the madness.

Simply Santorini was very good, the coach driver was very nice and the tour guide, Kim was excellent and so knowable about the island. She seemed to know so much about the island and gave details about all the sights. Thank you Kim However I was told there was little walking (I use a stick) and there was quite a lot of walking. Had I been told this before I would have worn a knee brace for support. The wine tasting event was lovely and views spectacular! Overall very good day!

Didn't like the bus at all all darkened out very tight seats, couldn't sit together. I was right at the back and this row of sets are really suitable for small children only. The Wine tasing was a dissapoinment, in the sense that we didn't see any of the process, we expected to see the storage at least at time of the visit. The village tour seemed a bit intrusive for the locals and could have been left out with just an explanation.

The trip to Santos wines was ok and Oia was good but the trip to see abandoned houses after the earthquake and Pyrgos were in my opinion a waste of time and disappointing The Mini bus was luxurious but too small for our party as the back seats were not fit for purpose as the were way to small for 4 adults.

We liked the pick up time of 1.15pm and return about 9.30pm, it made for a lovely afternoon/evening tour. We thought our tour guide (Yiannis) was excellent - friendly, plenty of knowledge and gave us the top tip of which roof top restaurant was good to watch the sunset, slightly on the edge of Oia. After our guided walk around Oia we chose to use that restaurant and thought it a fabulous location. The wine tasting at Santo Wines was also a highlight - what fantastic panoramic views.

This is a great trip if you want to see everything on the island. The guide kept us all well informed as we travelled from one place to another and there was plenty of time to enjoy the views when we stopped. The tour was let down by the poor quality of the guide. It was a large group, and she continually started talking before the majority of the group were within hearing distance. e.g. people were taking photos of sites when we hadn't a clue what they were. She also talked whilst walking along which is not good practice. On the Pyrgos visit she should have known, and been able to convey, exactly how many steps there are to the castle so that people with mobility issues can make informed decisions.

Enjoyed every minute of the Simply Santorini tour. Our guide Kim was excellent, she gave us so much interesting information from the formation of the island and its history, its culture and traditions to current day life. We enjoyed everywhere we visited and the tour was well organised. To get the most out of Pyrgos and Oia you would need more time but the tour gave a good taste of these fascinating villages to whet your appetite for future visits.

I particularly enjoyed the visits to Mesa Gonia, Pyrgos and Oia, though I thought the sunset "experience" at Oia was bit over-rated. The visit to the Santos Winery was a nice interlude with a chance to sit down other than on the coach and taste some wine. Kim, the guide was very informative. The only downside was the amount of time spent on the coach which couldn't be avoided I suppose.

Kim our tour guide was wonderful. Very informative and interest and well spoken. The tour was perfect. 7 hours and 3 places visited. I thought Mesa Gonia was less of a nice place to visit out of the 3 places on the day, but wine tasting was lovely with wonderful views over the caldera, and the sunset trip to Oia was perfect. The coach was jammed with approx 50 people and I thought it was going to be a smaller group event, but nonetheless it was still a great day out and good value for money.

I think, the the price should be upped and provide every guest with a bottle of water from the cafe of the first village. The owner was stood desperately waiting for trade, but because Tui exaggerated that refreshments were not provided most people took their own. Had we’d known we would have bought from the cafe in the village. Why would the villagers have tourists in their village unless it was going to provide revenue for them? Tui should say refreshments can be bought in visiting villages.

We were very sceptical with all the press coverage about cancellation of flights and delays. We had no issues in our departure and arrivals. Santorini was lovely, very relaxed. Hotel was very good and looked after us well. The only issue we have had is someone around the pool had a barking cough, I’m convinced they had covid and after a few days of being home I tested positive for covid although it could have been picked up in the airport or anywhere.

De gids wist veel te vertellen. Dit was heel leerzaam. Ik vond het erg leuk om naar Pyrgos te gaan. Wel een klim naar boven maar echt een mooi uitzicht. En mooie aparte winkeltjes. Ik had er alleen meer vrije tijd gewild. Ook zijn we in Oia geweest. Misschien wel goed te vermelden in omschrijving van de excursie dat we daar ook nog zonsondergang gaan zien. De gids gaf meteen goede tips om de drukte te vermijden zodat we een hele mooie zonsondergang hebben gezien. In Oia ook genoeg vrije tijd.

pick up drop off disaster.20 min late pick up,On bus there we were told Kamari drop would 9.30 perissa 9.45.When leaving oia rep advised we were being taken off & put on a different.Bus we were sent to,not tui,was full & had to wait approx 20 minutes for people to be taken off. Bus then stopped at several locations despite being told it was straight to Kamari, ended up hour later home than originally advised!

The visits to Pyrgos and Mesa Gonia were very enjoyable but Oia, which should have been the highlight, was a big disappointment. Just full of people from cruise ships. No room to move or explore. The little villages we visited were stunning and the views were to die for. It was great to experience the different areas of Santorini. It would have been better to have a little more time in Pyrgos as it felt like a rush to the top then back down again with little time to explore. There was plenty of time in Oia waiting for the sunset. The guide advised a different location than normal to view the sunset as it gets very busy in the main area. This was by the bus station so we were close by when it was time to leave.

Zeer mooie tour ... ook wat vrije tijd gekregen op het laatste om naar de zonsondergang te gaan kijken. Zeer goede gids gehad die helemaal niet saai was maar een echte beleving. De wijnproeverij was ook Zeer fijn. Opgelet, je bent wel te laat terug voor je avondmaal voor het hotel (21u45). Je voorziet best een eigen maaltijd in Perissa stad. Het hotel waar wij verbleven voorziet niet echt een goed avondmaal. We kregen wel iets maar niet voldoende voor twee. Maar voor de rest is dit een echte aanrader.
