I really liked walking and exploring the city with Rosserio and learning more about the history and culture of the Dominican Republic from him. We loved the Rum tour, seeing the fruit market, pink Street, Umbrella Street, and the chocolate factory. We could’ve done without the cigar and jewelry stop but it didn’t ruin our experience. And 5 full stars for the restaurant!!! Best food we’ve had so far here!

A nice overview of the City and culture… guide was very personable, engaging and knowledgeable! The people at all the venues were also great… at the Rum factory, jewelry store and chocolate factory, we learned a lot and purchased items to take home to share with family. We appreciated learning about tobacco and cigar assembly but do not smoke or enjoy the cigar aromas…Lunch was great! We really liked the smaller group and coach! Gracias pars todo! ??

The guide and driver are wonderful. I felt there was too much shopping on the tour. It would have been nice to see some more historic churches and other sites. The old fortress was beautiful. Not enough time allotted to see inside.

Tour wurde mit deutsch sprechenden Guide Mitarbeiter gebucht konnte sehr schlecht deutsch es wurde 90 % auf englisch gesprochen. Es war eine Verkaufsfahrt, von der Stadt wurde so gut wie nichts erzählt.

Diese Tour ist leider eine reine Verkaufstour!!!verlorene Zeit,wo man ewig auf andere warten muss, die was kaufen!Sehr Interessant war der Obstmarkt!Die Rumfabrik eine Enttäuschung, man sieht leider nicht wie er hergestellt wird,sondern einen Kurzfilm!Die Bernsteinfabrik noch enttäuschender,nur aufs verkaufen aus!!Der Guide war sehr nett und man hat alles auf Deutsch verstanden!Wenn uns der TUI Verkäufer gesagt hätte, das es eine Verkaufstour ist,hätten wir uns diese überteuerte Tour gespart!!!!

Es handelte sich um eine reine Veraufsveranstaltung. Es hätte nur noch gefehlt das man Heizdecken angeboten bekommt. Man geht halt davon aus das man eine Rumfabrik und eine Schokoladenfabrik besichtigen kann. Leider hat man nur ganz schlechte Filme gesehen. Die Besichtigung der Festung hätte man bezahlen müssen. Man war 2 Stunden unterwegs um die anderen Gäste einsammeln zu müssen. Leider war der ganze Urlaubstag dadurch versaubeutelt. Der "Verkäufer " von TUI hätte uns darauf aufmerksam mac

Ich wollte Puerto Plata kennenlernen und keine shopping tour durch Rumfabriken etc machen. Dies wurde uns im Vorfeld nicht gesagt, sonst wären wir nie dort mitgefahren. Ein total verschenkter Urlaubstag den man auch noch bezahlen musste.

Klimatisierter Bus, kleine Gruppe. Das war gut. Alles was angeboten wurde, wurde auch so erfüllt. Man hat natürlich das Gefühl,dass es sich um eine Verkaufsfahrt handelt. Bei jedem Haltepunkt wurde man nach der Führung zum Shop geführt. Lasst die Pesos zu Hause. Alle wollen Dollar. Mittagessen war auch gut. Reiseleiter sprach gut verständlich Deutsch und Englisch

Die Tour war insofern sehr interessant, als dass wir sehr viel von der Stadt gesehen haben, leider keine Seilbahnfahrt, da nicht in Betrieb. Die Fabrikbesuche dienten selbstredend auch dem Verkauf von Waren, was nicht aufdringlich war, insgesamt sehr interessant. Das Mittagessen in einem kleinen Restaurant in einem typischen spät-viktorianischen Gebäude war sehr lecker. Unser Stadtführer Rosario war in Englisch, Französisch und Deutsch sehr informativ, sehr sympathisch.Wir waren sehr zufrieden !

Zu lange Reise. Zu viele Touristenziele besucht. Zu wenig von dem Puerto Plata gesehen, das die Einheimischen sehen. Die Seilbahn wird renoviert und kann nicht benutzt werden.

Gefallen: die Hilfe des busfahrers beim ein- und aussteigen war sehr außergewöhnlich.der Reiseleiter war immer sehr um das wohlergehen der Teilnehmer bemüht. Nicht gefallen: bei fabriktour ron macorix war leider keine deutsche Führung, nur englisch und spanisch Der Reiseleiter durfte nicht mit rein . Hat aber im Nachhinein wo wir draussen waren hat er uns in deutsch vieles erklärt.

We believe that the lunch we were served made us very ill. Our last day and a half in DR we've been ill and going between the bed and bathroom. The only one of our group of 4 who didn't fall violently ill did not have the salad that was served

Sehr interessante Tour. Allerdings hat es auch etwas von Kaffeefahrt, da Rumfabrik, Schmuckfabrik, Zigarrenherstellung und Schokoladenfabrik natürlich jeweils mit großen Shops ausgestattet sind, wo man Zeit verbringen darf. Schön wäre gewesen, wenn man in der Stadt auch noch eine Stunde zur freien Verfügung gehabt hätte, um sich noch etwas auf eigene Faust umzuschauen. Alles in allem aber gut.

Loved this tour! Wendy (booking agent at the Tropical) was great! Rafael (tour guide) was outstanding! He was proud of his city and it showed in his enthusiasm. He even loaned my wife his umbrella when a sudden downpour hit. Lunch at Casita Azul was delicious, authentic and had great service. Really had a wonderful day and we’ve already recommended this tour to several people.

Whole experience was great. Picked up on time. The mountain cable ride was not available due to repairs/replacement. The guide was very good only his voice was a bit scratchy so couldn't understand everything he said. Other than that the tour was very enjoyable and educational. Thank you.

Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Ausflug. Waren eine sehr kleine Gruppe was mir sehr gefallen hat . Viel gesehen und das Mittagessen war einfach mal spitze . Ein 3 Gänge Menü. Muss man einfach machen , kann man nicht in Worte fassen .
