Es waren zwei Teilnehmer dabei, mit denen ich absolut nicht gerechnet hatte. Es sie Menschen, die unsereins nach ihrem "Glauben" verachten, hassen und uns für niedriger als Tiere ansehen. 7 Stunden gemeinsam in einem Jeep waren alles andere als angenehm. Zum Glück gabe es außer deren Ignoranz keine Konfrontation.

Wir hatten heute eine unglaublich schöne Tour auf Madeira. Unser Guide Gil war hervorragend – sehr engagiert, freundlich und äußerst kompetent. Er hat uns auch abseits der typischen Touristenorte geführt, uns Pflanzen erklärt, Wurzeln gezeigt und im Markt viel Spannendes vermittelt. Mooie en leuke dag gehad dat was zeker de moeite waard! De landrovers zijn oud en bieden weinig comfort (vallen bijna uit elkaar) als de kap open is zie je wel wat meer maar als de gids je wat verteld hoor je dat niet. Er valt wel wat te verbeteren in het matrieel vind ik persoonlijk. Bijv o.a. stootkussen is wel een aanrader. Maar ervaar het zou ik zeggen!!!

Unser Guide Gil hat sich richtig Mühe gegeben uns viel zu zeigen und zu erklären. Von den verschiedenen Maracuja Sorten auf der Insel über sämtliche Wetter Zohnen bis zu den historischen Bauarten von Straßen. Er hat uns versteckte Plätze gezeigt und uns über die Restaurants der Insel bestens informiert. So wünscht man sich das.

Der Guide (Gil) war super drauf und hat uns sehr gut durch die Tour geführt. Was an der Tour leider etwas schade war, war das der Stopp am "Goldenen (künstlichen!) Strand" einfach unnötig und Zeitverschwenderisch war... diese Zeit hätte man schöner am Pico do Arieiro nutzen können. Dann hätte man da ggf. sogar noch die Wanderung machen können. So hatte man leider nur 30 Minuten dort. Alles andere war wirklich super und auch die kurze Offroad-Fahrt war klasse.

Het wandelen door de Levada en het bezoek aan Pico Ruivo waren echt hoogtepunten. Verder is het maar net waar je interesse ligt, op zich is alles leuk om even te zien. Onze gids kon zeer uitbundig vertellen over al het moois op dit eiland. Alleen dat al was zeer de moeite waard!

Eine schöne Tour , wir hatten viel Spaß und haben viel gesehen. Unser Guide war sehr nett , mit dem Jeep die Insel zu erkunden und mal abseits der Highways offroad zu fahren , ist schon ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir haben uns zu jederzeit sicher gefühlt. Das Mittagessen im Restaurant war gut. Die Insel hat viel zu bieten , wir waren 8 Stunden unterwegs ,es war ein rundum schöner Tag. Wir haben auch die Nord-West Tour einen Tag vorher gemacht. Beide Ausflüge waren super!!

Es war eine super schöne Tour! Wer Angst hat wenn es mal etwas Holpriger wird sollte diese Tour nicht machen die off road strecke war sehr Holprig was sich ja auch schon im Namen selbst erklärt. Unser Guide war sehr nett und hat uns schon ein Gefühl con Sicherheit gegeben. Das Mittagessen ist bestimmt nicht für jeden etwas wer kein Schwein oder Fisch mag sollte es lassen. Und hat das Essen jedoch gut geschmeckt. Im großen und Ganzen sieht man viel von der Insel. Super Tour danke nochmal dafür!

Eine wunderschöne Tour durch den Osten Madeiras. Sehr viele schöne Ausblicke in einer überwältigenden Landschaft. Unser Guide Martin hat uns viel erklärt und gezeigt. Die Offroadstrecken haben viel Spaß gemacht. Das landestypische Mittagessen war super organisiert und sehr lecker.

We enjoyed everything however we missed out on an hour of the day due to admin errors at Tui’s end which meant we spent an hour driving round locating a missing guest. As a result we missed the first activity. Maybe TUI might consider offering some compensation?

Great day out seeing the East of Madeira. Good mix of places visited, villages, rum distillery, viewpoints, walk along a lavarda. Santana village is a bit twee and personally I would have spent less time there and would have preferred longer at the peak area. Off road sections were well driven by the drivers and you didn’t feel at risk, even if you felt a bit shook up physically (as expected). Good camaraderie between those on trip and the drivers.

We didn’t find out it was cancelled until we had waited to be picked up for 1.5 hrs. We had to set the alarm for an early call, no time for full breakfast, then been waiting around. I think TUI could have let us know. I only found an email that was sent the previous afternoon, 6 hrs after we should have been picked up. A message could have been left at the hotel for us or a text not just an unread email

It was a bit disappointing that the rain meant we had limited opportunity to stand up during the off-road parts and fully enjoy the scenery, although Madeira is still lovely in the rain! Unfortunately on the Lavada walk there was a mix up about where our end point was so the leading party overshot and the rest of us then had to wait whilst the tour guides tried to find out where they had got to. However, it was still an enjoyable day out and a great way to see the East side of the island.

They dropped us off to do a walk along the water stream. No one accompanied us and our group got lost. We only knew we were lost when the guides rang one of the people on the tour to se where we were. We had been walking for over an hour. No soft drinks offered at the meal and at each stop we were expected to go off on our own

The company we were taken by was True Spirit, our drivers name was Gil Belo and his car was Anita. It was one of the excursions me and my mum have ever been on. Enjoyed every bit of it and wouldn’t change anything. Gil really made it an unforgettable experience and would recommend it to everyone

Wenn auch Englisch sprechender, sehr netter Guide, konnten wir uns trotzdem gut miteinander unterhalten. Änderungen der Tour fanden mit unserer Abstimmung statt (Rum-Destillerie, Poncha Zubereitung und Verkostung). Mittagessen sehr gut. Fahrstil war immer sicher. Können wir nur weiterempfehlen.

The day started out wet and a tweek to the tour meant we had a bonus trip to the rum tasting experience. Chatty, friendly, professional and knowledgable guide SIlva. Stop for lunch was fantastic with locally prepared food. Atmospheric cloud and mist too!

Die Ost Tour ich sehr zu empfehlen. Trotz zweimaliger Nachfrage und Bestätigung von der TUI Mitarbeiterin ob die Tour auf Deutsch ist, Konnte unser Guide nur Englisch. Aber Antonio (er hat sich gleich zu Beginn entschuldigt, das er nur Englisch spricht) hat sich sehr bemüht und war äußerst freundlich, kompetent und Witzig. Die Tour selbst kann ich nur jeden empfehlen. Gerne jederzeit wieder auch mit Antonio??????

We hebben genoten van deze fantastische tour 4x4. Hele aardige gids Diogo Camacho, hele goede chauffeur we voelde ons veilig bij hem. Hij had mooie verhalen en was erg vriendelijk en attent. Nam de tijd zodat wij foto’s konden maken en hij nam ook foto’s van ons als groep. Bij ons in de jeep zat ook Sebastiaan een persoon van Tui in opleiding. Heel aardige man en erg behulpzaam. Het eten was ook goed geregeld.

Our original tour was cancelled on the morning due to the extreme weather and we swapped with a couple to join this one. I don’t really know what makes it sustainable. The guide drove really fast and unfortunately I was sick on the way to our first destination, another couple asked for him to drive slowly due to feeling queezy. We couldn’t hear what he was saying most of the time. The team that booked it for us last minute were fab though

De gids was minder spraakzaam dan de gids die we bij een andere excursie hadden. De Belgische gids Chris is echt een aanwinst, we weten dat hij nu voor zichzelf is begonnen maar die moeten jullie echt inlijven. Verteld veel, spreekt meerdere talen en is een genot om erbij te hebben. De gids die we nu hadden was een 'local' uitstekende chauffeur maar beduidend minder spraakzaam die moest je echt dingen vragen en dan werd er wel wat verteld. Leuke dag gehad. Vond de lunch persoonlijk wat minder.

Fahrt wurde als Offroadtour angepriesen, weswegen wir diese auch gebucht hatten. Man fuhr zu 95% nur normale Straßen. Einmal für 15 Minuten etwas durch den Wald. Den Guide konnte man die ganze Fahrt über nicht verstehen, weil die Geräusche vom Fahrzeug viel zu laut waren! Er hat auch gefühlt nur das nötigste gesagt. Das Essen war richtig gut und ist zu empfehlen. Man hatte bei den kleinen Stopps viel zu viel Zeit. Da hätte man besser nochmal offroad fahren können. Rückfahrt war nur Autobahn…

De bezochte locaties waren niet volgens verwachting, de bergen, kust en bossen waren prachtig, met een goede chauffeur off road was erg leuk. Echter de toegevoegde waarde van een rum fabriek en het kijken naar het vliegveld kan ik niet begrijpen. De lunch was ook niet om over naar huis te schrijven, we hadden allebei last van onze maag. Misschien is het beter dat er minder stops zijn, meer tijd per locatie, het was vrij gehaast en vrije keuze wat te eten. Er is ruimte voor verbetering!!!!

Het is een bijzonder leuke excursie. Je crosst lekker met elkaar in de jeep de steile wegen van Madeira op, zowel off road als op de snelweg. De tour is bijzonder afwisselend met hoge pieken, mooie vergezichten, dwars door de bossen maar ook het pittoreske Santana, de rum fabriek en de heerlijke authentieke lunch. Wij vinden het een enorme aanrader mits je een tikje avontuurlijk aangelegd bent.

Our driver and guide, Silva, was excellent! Good driver, friendly, provided lots of information about the area, lifestyle in Madeira, and made sure to enquire that we were happy with all the stops and experiences. Lunch was excellent too, traditional dishes and great restaurant. Loved the poncha stop too, family was friendly, and little villages and shortcuts meant we saw the real island.

Die Stopps waren an beieindruckenden Orten, unser Guide Giulia ging gut auf die Gruppe ein und führte souverain die Truppe und den Jeep. Die Offroad-Strecke hätte ich mit sehr gerne etwas länger gewünscht. Elektromobilität wäre wohl nachhaltiger als ein Konvoi Diesel-Defender, ob dies möglich wäre, ist mir aber nicht bekannt.

Het is een superleuke manier om het oosten te verkennen. Tijd genoeg om op de stops even rond te lopen en foto’s te maken. Waar mogelijk (en veilig) stopt de chauffeur ook op andere plekken waar je een foto kunt maken van het prachtige uitzicht. De lunch is prima verzorgd en het is allemaal iets kleinschaliger opgezet. Daarmee een goede mix van rustig en gezellig druk. Eenmaal op de kleine weggetjes en staande achterin de jeep ervaar je Madeira pas echt.

Opgehaald bij het hotel door gids Mauricio en off road de bergen in. Een spectaculaire rit. Mauricio was een goede verteller, grandioze chauffeur en enorm aardig/humoristisch. Prachtige uitzichten in de bergen en op naar het oosten van het eiland. De gekleurde huisjes in Santana waren schattig maar duidelijk een toeristenattractie. De lunch was wat minder; vlees taai. Maar al met al een een geweldige dag gehad.

This was a fantastic day out. Gil should gain an award for world's best tour guide and driver. He went above and beyond to make the day memorable with just the right amount of time at each stop, and he took us through some stunning scenery on the way to each destination, some off road and off the beaten track. Eine wirklich tolle Tour! Unser Guide Gil war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und lustig. Eine super Tour. Unser Guide Karim hat uns an einge Orte gefahren, an die man nur mit dem Off-Road Fahrzeug hinkommt. Die Stimmung war locker und witzig, so dass die Tour durchweg Spaß gemacht hat. Man kann diese Tour buchen, auch wenn man schon die Osten Madeira Deluxe Tour gemacht hat. Einzige Überschneidungen waren der Pico do Arieiro und Santana. @Tui: Bitte die Option bei Online-Buchung "Möglichkeit Tour in Deutsch" ggf. als Anfrage einfügen, da über Reiseleitung vor Ort möglich.

Mooie uitzichten en een leuk offroad deel. Helaas zat ik wel als enige Nederlander bij een Duits groepje, waardoor alles eerst in het Duits werd gedaan en daarna nog eens kort in het engels. Door deze taal-barièrre miste ik ook de “grapjes” en spontaniteit. Lunch was ook niet erg lekker, ik was voor het vlees gegaan wat vooral heel zout was. Verder wel een leuke dag gehad.

Unser Fahrer Romero war super, wir haben uns immer sicher gefühlt. Auch auf der Offroad Tour die sehr nah an steilen Abhängen vorbei ging. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Aufenthalt auf dem Pico de Aerio war zwar kurz aber dafür wird man bis oben gefahren und muss nicht hoch laufen. Zweiter Fahrer der Gruppe war Marco und zufällig deutsch und den konnten wir auch immer ansprechen. Wir würden es wieder buchen. Danke für den schönen Tag

This experience was the highlight of our trip. We visited numerous places, some of which we'd previously planned to go to via public transport. But it actually worked out much better to have a short time in each place and to see lots in one day. The guide filled the time journeying between with interesting facts about the island and what we were seeing. The lunch included at a local restaurant was really tasty and generous in size. The visit to Pico do Areiero was just stunning. Highly recommend

Es hat uns allen sehr gut gefallen, der Fahrer war sehr nett, kompetent und zeigte uns viele schöne Orte aber auch hielt an einigen Fruchtbäumen und erklärte welche das sind. Man konnte spüren das ihm das ganze Spaß machte. Bei Mittag erzählte er die Geschichte der Gerichte und war sehr vorsichtig beim Fahren durch die gefährliche Gegend. Das war für meine Familie die beste Führung.

Sama podróz samochodami 4x4 jest juz ciekawa. Dzieki temu mozna wjechac do miejsca, gdzie zwyklym autobusem czy nawet zwyklym samochodem dojechac sie nie da. Off-road byl bardzo ekscytujacy. The whole trip was a wonderful experience, our driver/guide Robert provided great entertainment ,both with his local knowledge and with his driving skills. The views from the top of the mountains were spectacular as we were above the clouds, (very cold while we drove through the clouds, but worth it).The lunch that was included with the trip was of a very high standard, much better than we have had on similar trips.

Hat richtig viel Spaß gemacht,die off road fahrten waren mit das beste. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Es war leider etwas kalt und eng im Auto,aber mit den richtigen Leute macht auch das Spaß. Leider konnten wir nicht hoch auf den Berg weil zu viel los war, die alternativ Route war zwar von der Strecke spektakulär,aber die Wassermühle war jetzt nicht so toll. Da hätte ich mir eine bessere Alternative zum Berg gewünscht.

Die Tour war sehr interessant und abwechslungsreich. Der Guide Romero hatte viel über Land und Leute zu erzählen.Der Offroad Trip abseits der Straße zeigte die wahre Schöneheit von Madairas Wilderness. Das Mittagessen war gut organisiert und landestypisch. Romero ging auch auf individuelle Wünsche ein,war flexibel, da wir auf dem Pico nur Nebel hatten und machten dann im Rum House einen Stop.Es gab eine Gratisrumverkostung .Yes that was great. Die Tour ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Der Ausflug war ein schönes Erlebnis,man hat wirklich sehr viel von der Ostküste Madeiras gesehen inklusive einem Mittagessen in einem einheimischen Restaurant.Die Jeep-Fahrt war sehr angenehm da die Gruppe dadurch klein war.Einziger Minuspunkt unser Reiseleiter sprach nur Englisch ob wohl uns zugesagt wurde es sei auf deutsch.Ansonsten top gerne wieder.

Wenig Informationen zu Land und Leuten. Da Guide wohl noch sehr unerfahren. Fahren mit offenem Verdeck, wurde von allen abgelehnt, trotzdem wurde das Verdeck geöffnet. Zu starke Nebengeräusche, Infos nicht hörbar. Sitzplätze längs im hinteren Bereich unbequem. Offroadanteil zu gering. Mittagessen o. k Positiv: deutscher Guide, pünktlich, Sonderwünsche (Christusstatue) wurden erfüllt. Baum pflanzen, gute Idee.

This new tour was excellent. The weather could have been better but that didn't spoil it. I loved the idea of planting a tree and I was the designated 'planter' so will have to come back next year to make sure my tree is thriving?? The lunch was very good as well. We managed some off roading with the roof down which as usual was excellent fun. New driver Tony very good and safe.

The 2 guides we had for our group were very friendly and knowledgeable and we went to some amazing places. Unfortunately the weather at Pico do Aieiro wasn't going to let us see the amazing views but our guides made up for it with the other places we visited , including the extra visit to Cristo Rei. The off roading sections with the roof down were great fun and the food for lunch was really good and plenty of it, definitely recommend this tour .

So much fun! Our guide was brilliant, a true local who had lots of interesting information from growing up on the island. The itinerary is flexible to suit the weather in the day. But lots to see, the food was delicious and plentiful. The off road section was exciting and the drivers clearly knew the route very well.

Brilliant trip with fantastic guides who really wanted us to have an enjoyable experience. They were very knowledgeable and caring not just to the passengers but also to the animals and environment. We were taken to a lovely restaurant with really good quality food and wine. We saw some amazing views of the island. We were a family group of 11 of varying ages and everyone of us loved the experience.

Guide war rechtzeitig am Hotel. Sehr höflich und hilfreich. Wusste über Natur, Berge, Essen, Tradition, Geschichte, uvm sehr gut Bescheid;beantwortete alle extra Fragen prima. Prima Erzählung/Beschreibung. Wegen starken Regens davor musste Teil d.Route geändert werden, aber war auch super. Mittagessen sehr reichlich und lecker, danach Weinprobe. Viele FotoStops u zum Besichtigen. Tour zur Sicherheit mit 2.4x4 zusammen. So noch lustiger für alle. Sicherer Fahrer. Sehr zu empfehlen!

We had a great adventure exploring the Eastern side of Madeira. Going in a 4x4 and having opportunities to go off roading in the spectacular woods and mountainous areas was so much fun. Chris our guide shared so much knowledge with us, in both German in English to cater for all guests partaking in the day. He was a wonderful driver too! This was a packed day full of a wide range of experiences and was great value for money.

Great value for money. The lunch was fantastic- a three course meal and lots of wine and soft drinks which was very tasty and pleasant. Our guide, Gil Sousa was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the area and the route. He went the extra mile to stop and show us different plants which I noticed the other jeeps didn’t do. He also brought a lot of humour and enjoyment to the trip so thank you Gil. We are giving it a 9 because we felt it would’ve been nicer to stay longer in places. Thank you!

We had an amazing day with Rui S! He was a very enthousiastic guide and knew a lot about all the things we encountered during our tour. Also great humor! The trip shows you very beautiful places with amazing views. Even some very fun off-roading was included with the 4x4 jeep. The lunch was very good and more the size of a 3 course dinner with some nice local whine. 100% recommended!!!

Wat een fantastische dag hebben wij gehad. Prachtige uitzichten, leuke off road weggetjes en niet te vergeten een geweldige chauffeur en gids Chris. Wat helemaal bijzonder is tijdens de oost madeira tour is dat je wat terug doet voor de bevolking. Zo ging wij sla planten op een lokale boerderij in de vallei. Tijdens de lunch zit je op een waanzinnig plekje. Tevens was de lunch goed verzorgd met een voor, hoofd en nagerecht. Inclusief drankjes. Vervolgens kregen we nog een wijnproeverij.

Wat niet leuk was aan de tour dat ik de volgende dag door waarschijnlijk de lunch wat eigenlijk een diner in NL is een diarree heb opgelopen, zodat ik de volgende dag niet echt meer vakantie heb kunnen vieren als je telkens naar de wc moet. Dit heeft minimaal drie dagen geduurd en pas in NL is de diarree er mee opgehouden. Dus drie dagen niets tot zeer weinig meer kunnen eten. Het vlees van de lunch was niet goed gebakken. Maar de tour was verder heel leuk.

Loved the tour, our guides were amazing. Visiting the farm was interesting. Lunch was great. Wine tasting could be longer We were originally collected in one 4x4, final person was someone in a wheelchair, we ended up having to be moved into another 4x4 as there wasn’t enough space for 7 people + a wheelchair. We then ended up split up (as a group of only 2!) this meant one of us was in the front seat and one of us was in the back (with a family who wouldn’t speak English). V disappointing.

De trip was erg mooi. Geweldige gids. Een minpuntje was dat wij als laatste werden opgehaald de twee slechtste stoeltjes achterin voor ons nog over waren. Verzoek om tijdens deze tocht af en toe te wisselen vond bij de andere passagiers geen gehoor. Hierdoor ontstond meteen een onaangename sfeer in de auto. Wij gaan dan ook niet meer op voorhand reserveren maar willen wel weten hoe de verdeling van de stoelen is. De gids had in deze wat beter kunnen optreden. De prijs was voor iedereen gelijk.

Loved it all. Our guide had had car troubles on the way to pick us all up though and so he was 45 minutes late. Our hotel tried to contact Tui to see what was happening but couldn't get through to them. So it would be helpful if Tui perhaps informed us of the local company running the tours so that we can phone them if they don't turn up. Tour itself was brilliant fun and the food was excellent.

Due to bad weather alternative activities which were selected were heavily alcohol based including a tour around a rum factory and wine tasting. This did not bother us much but may be disappointing for others. The tour guide was friendly and extremely informative and made the experience fun.

Another great day out! After yesterday's trip to the North West, we went to the East. Again, the guides were fantastic - Ruben, our driver & and Chris, the driver of the other Land Rover. De tour ging niet naar de oostpunt, dat was wel gesuggereerd. Off-road was wel wat weinig. De punthuisjes was het niet waard te bezoeken. Begeleiding gaf voldoende informatie onderweg. Rijden in landrover erg leuk. Eco activiteit concept was leuk. Lunch was wel ok maar liever met kleinere groep. Overall leuke dag gehad.

Our guide/driver Ruben was very good, very informative, friendly involving in the experiences. Unfortunately due to the very heavy rain in the days before our trip the itinerary had to be changed, however the substitutions were excellent alternatives. Top marks to Ruben and the other driver/guide Rui. Lunch was especially enjoyable and the views from the restaurant superb. Highly recommend this experience

Sehr offener und humorvoller Guide, der auf jede Frage eine Antwort hatte. Die Tour wurde auf die Wettergegebenheiten (Starkregen an den Vortagen) angepasst, dadurch leider wenig Offroad-Strecken. Trotzdem sehr abwechslungsreich und vielfältig gestaltet. Das Essen war toll, die Aussicht zum Mittagessen grandios. Wir haben auch viel über die Kultur auf Madeira gelernt. Es gab guten Wein und Rum. Keine aufdringlichen Verkaufsstrategien. Ein absolut gelungener Tag!

Een voortreffelijke excursie met een locale Engelsprekende gids, Gil Sousa. Hij gaf uitgebreide uitleg over de cultuur van Madeira en over het duurzaam kweken van traditionele producten, over de inheemse en uitheemse planten en dieren. Een avontuurlijke jeepsafari waarbij individuele wensen waar mogelijk werden ingevuld. Een heerlijke lunch op een fantastische locatie met uitzicht over de zee. Een aanrader !

The 3 course lunch was amazing, followed by Madeira wine tasting & demonstration of sweet potato bread making & despite a Lemon festival closing roads around one of our activities, the guides arranged an alternative - a visit to the rum distillery while sugar cane was being processed, so a great day out.

Das Mittagessen war perfekt, auch die Lage des Restaurants mit herrlichen Ausblicken. Im Jeep hinten auf der Bank sitzen zu müssen schmälert die Freude beim Fahren allerdings gewaltig: man sieht fast nichts, weil man höher sitzt und quer zur Fahrrichtung. Auch für den Rücken sehr unbequem und wenn man empfindlich ist, kann es einem auch noch übel werden – trotz sehr rücksichtsvoller Fahrweise … Diese Sitze sollten gar nicht mehr angeboten werden, oder wenn, dann zu einem ermäßigtem Preis.

Our guide Christopher was excellent company, informative & even did a bit of kid entertainment while parents enjoyed the wine tasting. We enjoyed the visit to the agricultural association & learning more about their work. We were lucky that no location was too packed. Lunch was delicious in a stunning location. It was a great day.

Excellent tour with our brilliant guides Francesco and Rui. Really interesting day especially on the Co-operative farm stripping sugar cane and making poncha. Demonstration of local bread making, great lunch followed with Madeira wine tasting.

Gil Sousa our guide was brillliant, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. You have to be prepared to sit on Land Rover seating (sideways facing in the back) over hilly and sometimes hairpin bend terrain but that’s all part of the adventure. The food stop was great with a good lunch served. If you have special needs (car sickness for example) make sore you say in advance because then you can sit in the front.

Ein gelungener Ausflug durch den Osten Madeiras mit unserem kompetenten und sehr freundlichen Guide und Fahrer Gil. Er hat uns viel von seiner Heimat gezeigt und erklärt. Unsere spontane Fragen zur endemischen Fauna und Flora hat er ausführlich beantwortet. Bei Nebel und fehlender Aussicht auf dem Pico Aireiro wurden Alternativen angeboten. Der Tag war sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Fahrt war trotz der unterschiedlichen Straßenverhältnissen angenehm weil Gil sein Fahrzeug sicher beherrscht.

Our guide Ruben was knowledgable and engaging looking after the group well. Timekeeping was excellent as was the lunch stop. Thoroughly enjoyed the off road sections with the roof off and standing. Would have liked more! The sustainable project was also very interesting. Although no views from the summit Ruben took us for a spectacular view over Machico at the end of the day. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic experience, our driver "Frank" was really knowledgeable and passionate about his work. There was no rush, we used routes and saw sights that would not have been possible without the 4x4. The journey could be bumpy at times, but the food was good, safety was paramount and WOW! What a fantastic day. I would say book it you will regret missing it.

Sehr erlebnisreiche Tour. Viel gesehen und erfahren. Aufgrund des Wetters konnte ein Teil des Programms nicht durchgeführt werden. Trotzdem wurde es nicht einfach weggelassen, sondern nach Ersatz gesucht, um trotzdem viel bieten zu können. Der Guide war sehr freundlich und hat viel über Land und Leute erzählt.

Wo soll ich nur anfangen, Der Guide Franco hat uns abgeholt. Danach haben wir drei andere Urlauber mitgenommen. Zu sechst ging es Los! Sofort stellte sich heraus wie nett und freundlich Francisco war. Er erzählte uns viel aus seinem Leben und von dem Leben auf Madeira, auch was besonders an der Insel ist und was die Probleme hier sind. Er zeigte uns die nicht so offensichtlichen Orte und deren Besonderheiten. Das Essen war Wahnsinn und die Weinprobe war OK. Wir können es nur Empfehlen!!

We found it to be a very enjoyable and informative experience. The sustainable/eco project particularly interested us. It would have been nice to have spent longer there (perhaps omitting the Santana visit?) Lunch was also amazing, despite the fact it was very busy, and it was in a stunning location. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable trip.

Paulo our guide/driver was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable! There was a good mix of activities spaced out well throughout the day, we got to see a lot of the island that we might have struggled to see otherwise. I also really liked the emphasis on sustainability, it wasn't in your face but it was nice to see this was being thought about as it's so important. Thanks again Paulo!!

Gil our driver was first class, so enthusiastic and knowledgeable for this natural wonder that is Madeira. Highlights include a stop at the highest peak in Madeira. Offroading and a stop at the sustainable farm that the tour is supporting. Finally the coastline at Santana is spectacular, being able to take in the view whilst enjoying a brilliant meal included in tue price rounded off the day in style.

Mozliwosc poznania wyspy od strony jej codziennego zycia. Piekne krajobrazy i przyroda. Tradycyjny maderski palasz na lunch byl po prostu fantastyczny, po lekcji pieczenia maderskiego chleba na pewno wypróbuje przepis po powrocie. Djogo, dziekuje za opowiesci o zyciu wyspy i za bardzo spokojna jazde po górskich wertepach!

Great day with guides who were knowledgeable and fun. You stop in the mountains and plant or harvest as an ‘experience’ which helps with sustainability. The scenery was amazing. Good lunch. Found the wine tasting a bit too brief and lacking someone with knowledge. Watching the bread making a bit too much in the heat. If you have walking/mobility problems getting in and out of the Jeep and walking a short way on uneven ground isn’t really for you.
