What we expect

Asahiyama Zoo, located in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, is Japan's northernmost zoo. Here, visitors can see adorable penguins strolling in the snow, clumsy raccoons climbing around, curious seals frolicking in glass enclosures, and monkeys huddling together for warmth. The zoo's unique feature is its emphasis on providing animals with a relatively free-range environment, allowing visitors to observe them up close through clever exhibits.

Know in advance:

Children under 2 years old require a ticket at the same price as adults if they need a seat, and this must be noted

The tour guide may adjust the itinerary order or shorten stay times at certain attractions based on the day’s actual conditions. The itinerary is for reference only; traffic conditions are uncontrollable. Avoid scheduling activities for the same evening

Arrive at the designated pickup point on time. The tour cannot be switched to another date or joined midway. If you cannot participate due to personal reasons, you will bear the corresponding losses

Due to many skiing tourists (especially on weekends), entry to Ningle Terrace may not be possible, depending on on-site conditions

Asahiyama Zoo is closed from December 30 to 31. From around November 10 to December 15, snow cover may be insufficient (snowmobiling will not be available during this period). From mid-December to late February, heavy snow or other weather conditions may cause traffic jams, making some attractions inaccessible. No refunds will be given for such cases

Snowmobiling is a paid optional activity

This is a shared tour; the same vehicle may have passengers speaking other languages, with seats allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Small groups: English-speaking driver-guides provide commentary (no commentary while driving)
