Poor

We didn't go to a museum as advertised. It would have been lovely to have learnt about the ecosystems they have in gambia. We should have gone on a dug out boat on the mangrove river, instead we went on a fibreglass boat. Nothing authentic nor dug out about it. We were also rushed and unable to have our palms read as 2 guests didn't want to wait so the guide sided with them instead of the group who wanted to stay. It was disappointing

Excellent

Great

Average

Was told traditional carved out boat- was fiberglass kayak No life jackets 3 story look out tower was super unsafe with stairs collapsed and rusted. Saw baboons/monkeys but no birds - appreciate that this can happen.

Great

Great

Many baboons at the forest causing mayhem and fun to watch. Walk through the bush with guide was very interesting. He talked a lot about the healing and medicinal benefits the Gambian people get from trees and plants. Relaxing paddle through the mangrove swamps. Unfortunately the pool and viewing tower were closed and in need of repair. Once renovations have been completed both will be an added bonus to this trip.

Excellent

Enjoy the beauty of the natural environment, walking surrounded by ?? monkeys, being in close proximity to the monkeys was incredible. Very informative trip, enjoy the walk in the forest and boat tip in the swamp. The pine wine is beautiful do not drink but I will have palm wine before it is fermented anyday, went back for more. Everyone in the group did not like not having life jackets for the boat trip. Concern was raised by members of the group around safety. A very good trip. Highly recommen

Excellent

Knowledgeable guides, passionate about their country and culture, shared with us never to be forgotten experiences: music, food, nature, and how the forest sustains and supports human life. Remember to take plenty of water with you- there is only one chance to buy water on site, and you’ll be out and on the go for a long time. Strong walking shoes are a must in the forest.
