What to expect
Unlock all the secrets of Cyprus by both land and sea. By road, you'll visit the old town of Famagusta and the ‘ghost town' of Varosha. Then, by sea, there's time to chill out on a relaxing cruise to the Blue Lagoon.
Travelling in an off-road vehicle, you'll pass through the UN buffer zone to the northern part of the island. Your first stop will be a walk through the deserted streets of Varosha, which was once a popular beach resort.
Afterwards, you'll head to Famagusta old town, where you can explore the Venetian city walls, its collection of church ruins, or...

What to remember
Just so you know, because of local restrictions at Strovillia checkpoint, only passport holders from EU member states, the UK, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland can travel to and from the northern part of Cyprus
Please note, single parent families or those travelling without both parents need to provide extra documentation for anyone under the age of 18 when travelling into the northern part of Cyprus. This includes a 'letter of authorisation' from the missing parent, as well as supporting documents including birth certificate of the child, passport copy of the missing parent or a copy of a court order. Templates of these letters are readily available on search engines however we recommend you consult a lawyer prior to travelling on holiday

Wszytko w biegu. Mieliśmy poznać wspaniałą historię Cypru i miasta duchów. Zamiast tego bieg za przewodnikiem, ktory jedyne co powiedział to „tu był bank” , „tam salon Toyota”. Pomyłka za tak dużą cenę. Gdy poprosiłem panią przewodnik o trochę wolniejsze tempo bardzo się oburzyła. W Famagusta mieliśmy mieć 1,5h czasu wolnego, mieliśmy tylko 45 min. Chora pomyłka!! Statek zatłoczony, 3h z dzieciakami na stojąco w przejściu do łazienki… tragedia, tragedia. Szkoda pieniędzy.

Allt var super. Kombinerad tur med historia och sedan båt och bad. Kan verkligen rekommendera kombinationen. Guiden var bra och tog även in sin egen historia. Gripande. Negativt var: Jeepen var alldeles för trång och man såg inte så bra genom fönstret när man satt bak.

Collected by tour guide George Michael, he was charasmatic, friendly and engaging as well as being knowledgeable about the area. The drive and walk round Famagusta was really emotional and interesting. The boat tour was in the afternoon with lunch provided, which as nice and well organised. There were two opportunities to get off the boat into the sea, either via steps, jumping in or using the slide. The water was so lovely clear and warm.

Wycieczka jest godna polecenia. Rejs statkiem wspanialy. Jeśli chodzi o same Miasto Duchów no to tu jest gorzej. Pani Przewodnik za wiele nie mówiła oprocz klasycznych szybkich regółek. Bardzo szybkie tempo zwiedzania z brakiem informacji. Napewno nie polecam rodzinom z małymi dziećmi. Mówiąc szczerze żałuje że nie pojechaliśmy na własną reke na miejscu mozecie wypozyczyc meleksy, rowery i zwiedzac sobie na spokojnie :)

Unser sehr gut deutsch sprechender Guide Fanos hat mit viel Gefühl und Herzblut seine persönlich erlebten Eindrücke dieser traurigen Geschichte geschildert. Man ist beeindruckt und zugleich fassungslos und bleibt zum Teil ratlos zurück, warum der wunderschöne und damals florierende Stadtteil Varosha nun so umwirtlich vor einem liegt. Die anschließende Bootsfahrt bringt durch Badestopps, gutes Buffetessen und Musik und Tanz wieder etwas Lockerheit in den doch eindrücklichen Tag. Efcharisto Fanos!

This excursion is the perfect balance of history, site seeing and fun. Walking through Varosha is surreal experience and very sad, the beach area is beautiful and you could easily imagine the bustling holiday resort it once was. Farmagusta old town is beautiful and steeped in history. The second half of the day on the boat is very relaxing, the lunch was delicious which came with a complimentary wine or juice, the rest of the drinks were very reasonably priced. The swim stops were perfect.

Unser Fahrer und Tour-Guide FANOS war überpünktlich. Er spricht hervorragend Deutsch und Englisch, ist sehr sympathisch und bietet jede Menge an Information über Varosha und Famagusta, inklusive historischen Fotos zum Vergleich mit dem heutigen Zustand der besuchbaren Teile Varoshas. Empfehlenswert! Die anschließende Bootsfahrt bot bei 2 Bdestops Spaß beim Schwimmen, Springen von Bord des Bootes und 1x eine aufblasbare Wasserrutsche. Das inkludiert Mittagessen war ok, aber nicht herausragend.

Picked up on time, our guide George Micheal was brilliant, gave us lots of information, his father lived in Famagusta before 1974. Looked after us very well all day. The afternoon boat trip was good fun, lunch simple but very nice. Enjoyed the swim stops, one in the bay opposite our hotel. Party boat on way back. All the staff were very friendly. A good day out with a good mixture of history in morning and fun in afternoon.

Väldigt intressant upplevelse och lagom högt tempo. Vår guide var otroligt bra på att inkludera alla i gruppen och såg till att vi hade det bra hela dagen. Mixen av bil till Famagusta på förmiddagen och båttur med flera badstopp på eftermiddagen var lyckad. Maten som serverades ombord var jättegod.

Everything was excellent except for the weather on the boat trip did not really allow you to go for a swim. The guide around the ghost town was excellent in the way he gave the history of the place. You were not hurried but given time to your own pace. The food on the boat was excellent.

Niby wycieczka z polskim przewodnikiem ale pani przewodnik nie tłumaczyła nam przewodnika cypryjskiego który bardzo ciekawie opowiadał. Przewodnicy cypryjscy bardzo fajni i mili. Rejs na błękitną lagunę nie powinien się odbyć przy tak wietrznej i zimnej pogodzie.

Fantastyczna wycieczka, kierowcy z dużym poczuciem humoru i bardzo pomocni. Szczególne podziękowania dla Lucasa za przekazanie masy wiedzy o historii Cypru, rozmowy z fantastycznym humorem. Naprawdę super ludzie i świetna zabawa. Jak wycieczki na Cyprze to tylko z lokalnymi przewodnikami i przestrzegam przed zakupem wycieczek u „lokalnych” polaków bo potrafią niestety oszukiwać. Z tui nigdy się nie zawiedliśmy tak samo jak z lokalnymi Cypryjskimi organizatorami.

Organizatorzy nie wzięli pod uwagę prognozy pogody Uważam,że przy planowaniu wycieczki statkiem gdzie dwukrotne postoje na pływanie w wodzie miały być jedną z atrakcji, organizatorzy powinni sprawdzać prognozy. Pierwsza część wycieczki przebiegła zgodnie z planem i bardzo nam się podobała. Natomiast rejs statkiem, który nas zachęcił do wykupu wycieczki okazał się wielkim rozczarowaniem. Była burza, wiało, padało i nie było mowy o pływaniu w wodzie czy opalaniu Bedziemy skladać reklamację

Uważam, że wycieczka jest bardzo słaba - 30 min w Varoshy (gdzie kierowca jeepa więcej opowiadał i mówił niż tłumaczyła Przewodnik), godzina w Famaguście gdzie Pani Przewodnik mówiła gdzie można kupić torebki czy sukienki - praktycznie nic o historii jedynie informacjje tam wejdziecie na mur, tam jest lew itp. Bardzo słaby lunch na pokładzie statku. Największym plusem tej wycieczki był kierowca Jeppa, który najwięcej nam opowiadał, plus jazda fajnym autem. Cena nieadekwatna do jakości wycieczki.

W Famaguście za mało czasu, wszystko w pędzie. Rejs w stronę Famagusty, uważam, że to strata czasu ponieważ i tak niewiele widać ze względu na odległość. Ocena przewodnika/personelu nie dotyczy Pani Blanki. Pani Blanka umieściła relację na żywo ze statku na swoim koncie na facebooku bez informowania uczestników. Ja nie posiadam konta na facebooku i nie chcę żeby mój wizerunek był tam umieszczany. O tym fakcie dowiedziałem się przez przypadek. Proszę żeby ta relacja została usunięta.

Wir hatten ursprünglich für die Deutsche Tour gebucht. Als wir am Hotel abgeholt wurden, wurde uns mitgeteilt dass wir es auf Englisch bekommen, da wir noch andere Touristen dabei haben und ob dies ein Problem für uns wäre, was natürlich keins war. Unser Guide hat trotzdem in 2! Sprachen alles erklärt und erzählt. Ich war total begeistert! Gerne wieder

Natomiast część wycieczki w której jachaliśmy lądem jepami to jedna wielka porażka W aucie nic nie widać tylko osobę przed sobą ,bo siedzi się do siebie twarzami na ławkach bez miejsca na nogi Auto bez klimy Na jednej wycieczce około 90-100 osób Pilotka bez zestawu słuchawkowego Kompletnie nic nie było słychać co mówi . Schöne abwechselungsreiche Tour. Es gab viel zu sehen. Spannend war der Grenzübertritt in den türkischen Teil der Insel. Die Bootstour hat viel Spaß gemacht (besonders der Badestopp mit Wasserrutsche und Sichtung der Wasserschildkröten). Alle Mitarbeiter extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nicht so gut war das Essen auf dem Boot. Zwei von vier Familienmitgliedern hatten hinterher mit Magenproblemen zu tun.

Výlet se nám velmi líbil, jediné malé - jsou nápoje na lodi. Sladké pití na privítanou každý nemusí, pak jsme mohli mít 3 nápoje v cene, ale co vím, tak si každý dal jedno víno a pak už se vše kupovalo za své peníze. Nálada na lodi to vše vynahradila, zábava na 1??.Nevim jestli jsme všemu dobre rozumeli. Co se týká servisu. Ridic v Jeepu nám krásne povykládal o historii Kypru. Takže nakonec jsme spokojeni.

Der Fahrer sprach nur Englisch, war aber sehr bemüht, erst als die Gruppe zusammen kam hatten wir den deutsprechen Führer, die Tour ist sehr interessant und gut kombiniert mit der Boottour die sehr schön war. Der Sitzplatz hinter dem Fahrer ist sehr eng für die Füße, die Jeepfarhrt war aber super. Mal was anderes.

Ich habe es mir spannender vorgestellt. Leider haben wir nicht immer alles verstanden, weil die Fahrgeräusche im Jeep sehr laut waren und die, die hinten sassen, waren zu weit weg. Der Guide hat gut Deutsch gesprochen und war freundlich. Für Personen ab 185cm ist es unbequem. Man wird tlw. auf Querbänke im hinteren Teil transportiert und das Gefährt ist niedrig. Der Schiffsausflug war schön. Wir konnten im Meer baden und das Essen war lecker. Die Musik war auf der Rückfahrt viel zu laut.

Voor €90 per persoon eerst serienummer opgesloten in een te krappe landrover. De bestuurder/gids deed zijn best om iets te vertellen over de omgeving en geschiedenis. Maar door de krappe ruimte geen gelegenheid om naar buiten te kijken i.p.v de verwachte catamaran lag er een soort van partyboot op ons te wachten. Met 150 man aan boord was die vol. Geen ruimte om van de plaats te komen. Veel oostblokkers aan boord du veel alcoholgebruik. Twee keer kunnen zwemmen en weer terug. GEEN AANRADER

Unser Guide Zeus, Betroffener der Ereignisse 1974, konnte uns Famagusta sehr intensiv und interessant zeigen (zwar in Englisch, aber sehr deutlich und verständlich). Die Bootsfahrt ist differenziert zu werten. Einerseits ist die Küste wunderschön und das Schwimmen in der Blauen Lagune ein Traum, andererseits nervt beim Retourfahren die überlaute Musik, das die gesamte Stimmung des Ausflugs doch einigermaßen trübt. Alles in allem jedoch war es ein schönes Erlebnis und empfehlenswert.

Der Tag war ein spannendes Erlebnis und unser Fahrer Favos hat uns ganz viel erklärt über die geschichtlichen Hintergründe Zyperns. Auch die Bootsfahrt war ein schönes Erlebnis mit super Stimmung. Der Ausflug hat sich wirklich gelohnt und war eine gute Mischung von Kultur und Erholung beim Baden!

The tour of Famagusta was excellent as our guide was brilliant however the jeep transport was pointless and would have been so much better in a small bus. Only three passengers had a forward view ,the rest of us had to crane our necks to see anything and it was hot and uncomfortable and awkward to get in and out. The boat trip was lovely but let down by the quality of the food, the pork being so hard it was inedible and red wine like paint stripper

Vi hade en jättefin dag på turen till Famagusta och Blå lagunen! Guiden George Michael ?? var helt underbar och gjorde allt roligt (även om sångrösten inte riktigt höll måttet ??). Jeepföraren var fantastisk – otroligt kunnig och engagerad i Cyperns historia, det gjorde turen mycket mer intressant. På båten blev våra välkomstdrinkar bortglömda först, men när vi sa till så fixades det snabbt. Jag hade önskat lite mer musik och stämning under själva båtturen, det kändes lite stillsamt emellanåt.

Die Tour mit. George Michael war sehr gut. Er hat alles gegeben mir verständlich zu machen was in der Geschichte Zyperns vorgekommen ist ( die Tour war englisch). Schön wäre es gewesen noch direkt in die Geisterstadt zu gehen oder fahren.

Unser Fahrer, der uns im Auto abgeholt hat, war sehr nett, hat uns sehr viel berichtet. Leider hat die Bootsfahrt in der Blauen Lagune nicht stattgefunden, wegen angeblich zu starkem Wellengang. Wir sind dann gegen 13.30 Uhr wieder bei Robinson angekommen. Ich bin mal gespannt, wieviel Grld wir zurück erhalten.

Wir wurden über pünktlich von George Michael abgeholt- super sympathischer/herzlicher Typ. Ihm war sehr daran gelegen, dass es uns zu jeder Zeit gut geht und war während des gesamten Trips ein hervorragender Ansprechpartner. Er konnte uns super viel über Zypern und von dem Leben Hier berichten. Die Geisterstadt war eindrucksvoll und die Besichtigung der alten Bauten ebenfalls. Auf dem Boot konnten wir Schildkröten sehen- das Boot wurde schließlich zum Tanzboot. Ein gelungener Abschluss

We will pick it up on time when we were told and we had such an enjoyable day with the tour and then after the boat ride the food on the boat with excellent the boat ride was brilliant. Me and my brother want to come back to Cyprus next year and do it again Well worth the €90 that we paid as well. Recommend everybody to have this trip.

Fantastic trip, George Michael was our guide and he was fabulous, kind and courteous all day . He made sure we were looked after. Kupowalem wycieczke w jezyku polskim. jPo zabraniu z hotelu przez kierowce obcojezycznego pojechalismy na strone Turecka, tam czekalismy pól godziny bez butelki wody na kolejne 7lub8 jeepów. W kazdym z aut bulo 9 osób.. Pojawila sie P. Blanka, przeszlismy na plaze, spacer 200m, nastepnie Starówka, tam zostalismy zaprowadzeni do 1 bazyliki i czas wolny 1 h. P. Der Famagusta Teil war sehr enttäuschend. Uns wurde gesagt, dass wir an einem Aussichtspunkt halten wo man die Stadt richtig erkennen kann. Wir waren nur am Strand und in den Stadtmauern. Der Teil auf dem Boot war eine 10/10.

It was an excellent excursion and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Loui our guide was amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable about the ghost town and Cyprus. Ein wunderschöner Tag mit einem tollen Guide! Fanos ist ein herzlicher, offener Reiseguide, der uns den ganzen Tag über Infos über Land und Leute und deren Kultur erzählt hat. Sehr offen und auch sehr Kinderlieb hat er alles erklärt und auch auf jede Frage eine Antwort gefunden. Die Jeepfahrt ist für alle ein Abenteuer gewesen, auch die anschließende Bootsfahrt mit Mittagessen ist trotz sehr vielen Menschen an Board echt ein schöner Ausflug, sogar eine Schildkröte war in der blauen Lagune ??

Vores guide i Varosha, George Michael, var fantastisk, han ved en masse om Cyperns historie og kultur og taler rigtig godt engelsk. Vi nød den smukke natur, da vi tog ud med båd, det var ikke overfyldt, men desværre nåede vi ikke at se de berømte skildpadder. Folkene på båden havde snorkeludstyr, men det var lidt slidt, så det er bedre at have sit eget. Redningsveste bør vaskes oftere, mange lugtede forfærdeligt af sved. Men alt i alt var det en interessant oplevelse, og vi nød det.

Det var lidt en blandet oplevelse. Jeep turen med Zeus (vores guide) var MEGA god! Zeus kom selv fra Famagusta og kunne give et anderledes og mere “følelsesladet” billede af byen. 10/10 til Zeus!!! Bådturen - der var vi ret skuffet. Vi var 4 danskere og 110 polakker. Der var én person, som skulle fortælle - på engelsk - hvor vi var og hvad vi så - det gjorde han ikke - til gengæld tror jeg, at polakkerne fik masser af info. Så en blandet landhandel- men vi havde en fin tur.

Wycieczka rozczarowala jako caloksztalt. Rejs - bylo wiadomo czego sie spodziewac i tu zaskoczenia nie bylo (chociaz bylo bardzo ciasno). Wycieczka do Famagusty - ponad 100 osob , jeden przewodnik bez zadnego systemu naglosnienia- brak szans zeby cos poslychac chociaz w sumie nie bylo czego - 20 min zeby poczkac az wszyscy dojada, potem 20 min spaceru do miasta Duchów, i 15 min w Famagsuscie- "mozecie isc tam, tam i tam " -macie godzine na zweidzanie, zakupy lub i tyle z przewodnika.

Der Guide im Jeep und somit der erste Teil der Ausfluges war spitze. Danach sind wir auf ein überfülltes Boot gekommen. Wir haben dafür bezahlt, einen auf Deutsch (!) gesprochenen Ausflug zu erhalten und am Schiff wurde nur Polnisch gesprochen. Sie hat erklärt, erklärt und erklärt und wir haben kein Wort verstanden. Unser Reiseleiter vom Jeep war nämlich nicht mehr dabei.

Die Famagusta Tour und Guide mega . Das war und ist 10 von 10 Punkten wert . Die Bootstour dagegen sehr langweilig nur auf polnisch vielleicht 3-4 Worte englisch kein deutsch, wie gebucht war . Dieser Teil der Tour wäre einem besser erspart geblieben.

Our guide was amazing and informative. We were driven to Famagusta first where we were shown some historical places and churches then shown the ghost town of Famagusta which was sad to see. It was a hot day but lots of places to buy drinks and ice cream. The next stop was to the boat. The food was amazing and the staff were there to help. I lovely lively boat with great music, dancing and energy. The best bit was being able to swim in the sea with the turtles.

Guiden var bra! Dock var båtresan, som vi inte ens genomförde bedrövlig. Vi gick på båten, där fanns inga sittplatser. Alldeles för mycket folk! Vi valde att gå av båten innan den avgick pga detta. Vi gick till fots tillbaka till hotellet. Vi gillade utflykten till famagusta, den var lärorik. Båtresan fruktansvärd!

Unser Tourguide Markus hat uns von Anfang an jede Frage sehr ausführlich und informativ beantwortet. Er hat uns die Geschichte Zyperns auf sehr interessante Art und Weise näher gebracht. Das Leben heute auf der Insel war natürlich auch Thema. Die Führung durch Famagusta inkl. Varosha und der Venezianischen Mauer beeindruckten uns sehr. Bei der Bootstour inkl. Schildkrötensichtung und zwei Badestopps konnte entspannt Zypern vom Meer aus kennengelernt werden. Vielen Dank an Markus.

Guiden på Jeepturen var fantastisk, han var fortællende, gode informationer, betænksom og var bare rigtig rar at være i selskab med. Til bådturen gav han os forslag til hvor vi kunne sidde hvis vi ville være i sol/ skygge. Guiden på båden tale først engelsk, men den primære guide tale polsk. Der blev sagt meget på polsk, som ikke blev sagt på engelsk, hvilket trækker denne bedømmelse ned. Og så det høje musik til slut på turen, der er 5 der danser til to sange og de er presset til at det.

2 tours in one...Famagusta waas fantastic and so interesting Tasos our guide was brilliant. Blue Lagoon tour a bost trip with mainly young people and it turned into a partry disco on the way back The Blue lagoon tour was 3. 45 at Sea. Im 67 (young at heart ) but the two tours/ trips in one, were polar opposite. This needs to be 2 seperate tours in my opinion.

Fanos the tour guide was EXCELLENT. So knowledgeable & friendly & accommodating. A real credit to the tour. We felt the announcements on the tour could have been better. The lady doing the Polish translation seemed to give a lot of information which wasn’t subsequently provided in English. The music was also extremely repetitive. Food was good.

Die Jeeptour wäre interessant gewesen, hätten alle Mitfahrer die Möglichkeit gehabt raus zu sehen. Im hinteren Teil des Jeeps musste man längs sitzen, somit man nur beschränkte oder gar keine Sicht hatte. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten die der Fahrer erwähnte blieben somit ungesehen. Wir sind der Meinung, die Tour wäre mit Minibussen viel angenehmer. Ansonsten war es ein schöner Ausflug. Besonders die Bootstour hat uns sehr gefallen.

Our guide, George Michael was fabulous. Really personal and welcoming with a great sense of humour. Very professional. In all our years travelling certainly one of the best guides and so passionate he definitely made the trip. The only thing I would say is that the lagoon part of the trip leads you to believe that you are having a stop for sunbathing but in reality it was just jumping off boat for two swim stops, which we enjoyed but no room for sunbathing on boat. Flyer depicts pretty cove.

Our driver and guide, Pandilly, was superb with lots of stories about the area along with very detailed and heart wrenching historical facts about what happened in the 1960’s leading up to the evacuation of the area in 1974. The stop offs at the beach and the cathedral were very poignant and well organised. The boat trip was fantastic with two swim stops in amazing crystal clear waters with a great commentary from the host, George Michael, yes you heard that right!

Ogólnie bardzo fajna wycieczka. W sumie kierowca wiecej nam opowiedzial histori niz przewodnik w Famaguscie. 5Siedzielismy pod pokladem wiec jako jedni z pierwsxych otrzymalismy posilek i niestety porcje byly bardzo skromne w stosunku do tych wydawanych pózniej-chyba obawiali sie ze nie dla wszystkich wystarczy. Ja dostalam doslownie 5 frytek i 2 male kawalki kurczaka. Na szczescie samemu mozna bylo nalozyc salatke, a ja glównie tym sie zywie. Jednak dla mojego meza bylo to zdecydowanie za malo

Tour guide very knowledgeable regarding history of Cyprus. A little cramped and uncomfortable in the vehicle especially if the weather is very hot. The Famagusta tour was long enough and the stops are a welcome break. The Blue lagoon tour is well worth it will friendly and helpful staff. 2 x stops for a swim which is needed. On board lunch very nice and a bar to suit all ages. This is definitely NOT a booze cruise. A great day out.

Sehr guter deutschsprechender Guide, hat toll erzählt und keinen Stress gemacht. Jeeptour war super... am Boot etwas zu viele Leute, aber die Ausfahrt war gut, die Badestops voll toll und bei der Rückfahrt wurde super Stimmung gemacht... Alles in allem ein toller Ausflug

Es wurden 9 Gäste in einen Jeep gesteckt. Mit Gepäck und Badetasche war es viel zu eng, heiß und sticking. Das Fahrzeug hatte keine Klimaanlage.und unbequeme Bänke. Der Ort Famagusta war interessant. Auf dem Schiff waren auch viel zu viele Menschen. Man hat ein lieblos zubereitetes Mittagessen bekommen, (in Art vom Buffet) aber nur ein Stück Fleisch auf Zuteilung. Man kann om Deck aus schwimmen gehen aber es gibt keine Möglichkeit die Klamotten zu wechseln. Und viel zu sehen gibt es nicht

The 4x4 experience was outstanding! All credit to the driver and his knowledge of Famagusta. The boat trip - food was exceptional. Not enough time for swimming or relaxing though in the sea (20 mins at most) by the time people got sorted with snorkels time was up. The cruise along the coast was exceptional! Absolutely beautiful. The staff on board were ok...Ive been on much more engaging boat trips, where the staff "make it". It would be lovely if some traditional Greek Cypriot music wa playe

Fantastisk tur! Det er uden tvivl en oplevelse der er alle pengene værd og som man absolut ikke burde gå glip af når man besøger Cypern. Andreas, vores chauffør og guide havde en masse spændende ting at fortælle om områderne og var rigtig venlig. Der var to stop på selve køreturen med mulighed for at se stranden og udforske spøgelsesbyen Varosha. Desuden kunne man nemt se og tage billeder af Farmagusta på køreturen. Bådturen indeholdt lækker mad og rig mulighed for at svømme.

George Michael, our driver was an entertaining and passionate leader of our small group. His knowledge of Cypriot history was informative and amusing. The Famagusta first part of the day was a real eye opener to the issues affecting the island. The afternoon trip on the Lady Pop down the coast with lunch was chilled and the barbecue lunch excellent. The parson and crew kept everyone entertained and the 2 swim stops were very refreshing. I would recommend this trip wholeheartedly.

Wir waren mit Fanos unterwegs, er spricht sehr gut deutsch und er fragt immer wieder alle aus der Gruppe, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Er kümmert sich sehr gut. Fanos kann viel über die Geschichte Zyperns erzählen und ist für Fragen immer offen. Der Bootsausflug war auch toll, leider war das Essen auf dem Boot für Veganer sehr eingeschränkt, aber für Vegetarier in Ordnung. Die Badestopps waren super.

George Michael our tour guide was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC from start to finish. He gave great history of Famagusta and Varosha which was eye-opening. He ensured that we had fun and enjoyed every moment! He and the boat cruise staff even offered to take photos to make amazing memories. If you’re hesitating in booking this trip like we was, I say go for it and book as you will not regret it! Würde uns deutsche Begleitung versprochen, kam ein Jeep, (waren 3 Jeep) da Fahrer nur englisch konnte. Im Jeep konnte man nur hinten ihn verstehen, die weiter sitzenden könnte nichts hören. Am Strand in Famagusta, hat kurz auf deutsch gesprochen, 5-6 Minuten ein Fahrer aus zweiten Jeep. Davon mehr wie die heißen als Information, Geschichte, Erklärungen zum Thema. Auf dem Schiff schwache Organisation, 150 ml Saft, Mittagessen durchschnittlich, das Gefühl Hering in der Konserve, keine Info.

Es war wirklich ein absolut toller ausflug. Hab es meinem freund zum geburtstag geschenkt und es war der hit. Unser tour guide, george micheal, war der absolute hammer. Er hat uns während den Fahrten mit dem Geländewagen so viel über zypern und die Geschichte der Insel erzählt das war ein absolutes highlight und hat somit die oftmals etwas längeren Fahrten so schnell vergehen lassen. Würde ich auf alle Fälle wieder machen!

We were quite disapointed with the Famagusta aspect of this excursion - the trip over the border was very rushed & our guide (Lou or Louis?) seemed more interested in complaining & ranting about his dislike for the Turks than educating his tour group - we have since discussed this with the local TUI rep (Phil) & it would appear there were certain walking aspects of the tour that we didn't do (in Varosha) - our guide just wanted to get back across the border- we would not recommend the tour.

Tui kunne godt skrive lidt flere informationer omkring turen, så man var bedre forberedt på hvad man gik ind til (eller klæde guiderne bedre på). Vi havde guiden George Michael, som var super god til at forklare tingene og sikre alle var med. Så Jeep turen var rigtig god. Bådturen var dog skuffende. Rigtig mange på båden og på ingen måder mulighed for at kunne slappe af. Forskellige nationaliteter som tydeligt kunne mærkes i måden man opførte sig på. Maden var okay.

Unser Guide Markos mit seinen Kollegen (allen voran Fanos) haben uns gut begleitet. Wahnsinn, dass 50 Jahre später keine Einigung zwischen Zypern und der Türkei gibt... Sehenswerte Tour, auch wenn der Verbleib in der "Geisterstadt" was per se nicht gruselig war, nur von kurzer Dauer war. Gutes Mittagessen auf der Lady Popy I

Vi hade bokat resan söndag 10/9, jeepen som kom kl.08.00 chaffören sa att vi skulle åka en annan jeep som skulle komma senare, fam Andersson fick följa med .Vi satt väntade kl 09.00kom tui-personal . Vi blev lovade en ny resa onsdag 13/9skulle varar exat samma resa sa de vi skulle även få 10 euro var av företaget .Resan till spökstaden var bra men båtresan var botten, båten gick ut från stora marinan i Ajanapa förbi stränden där vi badar varje dag ej till blålagunen, 2 korta badstopp. ej samma s

Die Tour geht ja nicht durch unwegsames Gelände. In einem bequemen Minibus wäre die Fahrt noch um einiges angenehmer gewesen. Landrover fahren ist schon cool, aber wenn jeder eine Badetasche dabei, ich hätte ein Fotorucksack dabei kann man sich nicht mal mehr anschnallen. Der Fahrer Markus war klasse.

Good trip learnt some facts about the Turkish invasion of northern Cyprus which is why we choose these kind of trips but it's a bit over dramatised in a convoy of white land rovers and the guide goes the Turkish always staring at us as we go through border control but yet you do it all of the time and yes you do look dodgy all you need is to paint un on your trucks d'oh. And the driver was a bit of a Turkish **********. And the hype about theirs still washing on the line cars left in garages

Die Famagusta-Tour war sehr informativ, unser Jeep-Fahrer Markus (?) war sehr freundlich, die Bootstour war gemütlich, aber wenn man keinen Schattenplatz bekommen hat, wurde man unweigerlich von der Sonne gegrillt. (Ich bin weiß wie Papier und gehe direkt in Flammen auf.) Das Essen war in Ordnung, es gab Getränke und die Blaue Lagune und das Schwimmen waren wunderschön. Haben sogar eine Schildkröte gesehen.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Guide George Michael was brilliant. Knowledgeable, spoke from the heart. He knew our names and made sure everyone was involved during the day. The guides also came on boat trip and continued to look after us. Lovely bbq lunch and 2 beautiful swim stops. Jeeps weren’t most comfy but were made better by rotating around seats to make fairer for everyone. This tour wasn’t suggested at welcome meeting and we had to ask if it was available as had seen it on the app.

Our tour guide George Michael (yes real name) was amazing. You could tell he was speaking from the heart when describing the events of Famagusta and he made the whole tour. The jeeps what can I say? Luxury they are not but we had been warned about this. The boat tour in the afternoon was fun. Easy to get on and off for swimming. It was also very comfortable. This was a great day out. We had seen it on the App and had to mention it to our rep as they discussed other tours but not this one.

Wir haben diese Tour extra wegen des deutschsprachigen Guide gebucht, da Englisch schwierig ist. Trotzdem war die Tour dann auf Englisch, was eine Enttäuschung war. Die inkludierte Bootsfahrt war sehr überladen, sodass für uns keine Sitzplätze mehr vorhanden waren. Der einzige deutschsprachige Fahrer namens Werner machte einen betrunkenen und fertigen Eindruck und hat auf dem Boot seinen Rausch ausgeschlafen. Unser Fahrer Dimitri war aber sehr bemüht und gesprächig, trotz Sprachbarriere.

Det var en meget spændende tur til Famagusta Tour med en meget dygtig chauffør . Han var god til at køre og få os trygt over grænsen og tilbage igen. . Sejlturen med BLUE Lagoon Cruise var sådan set fint. Det blev dog ødelagt af alt for højt musik. Jeg kunne ikke sidde og snakke med min familie på turen. Lige der, havde jeg fortrudt, at jeg havde bestilt turen. Den alt for høje musik var for stor en kontrast til det jeg havde oplevet og set i Famagusta. Derfor kan jeg ikke anbefale denne tur.

The tour guide George Michael absolutely made the trip, he was knowledgeable, funny and kind. The land rover was not the most comfortable experience but worth it for such a wonderful trip. The juxtaposition of old and new buildings was quite remarkable and the boat trip was lots of fun, we would definitely recommend this trip.

Sehr engagierter Fahrer, der uns viel über die geschichtlichen Hintergründe erklärt hat. Ein Pflichtausflug. Neben der Ausfahrt war der Bootsausflug ebenfalls sehr schön. Gutes Essen und freundliches Personal haben das Erlebnis positiv ergänzt. Wir haben sogar die versprochenen Schildkröten gesehen.

The only real issue is the 4x4 landrovers. No aircon which is obviously required and when you’re in the back of them you can not really see anything around you. It would be much better to use landrovers with an open back but with roof cover to keep the sun off especially when you’re in there for so long. Other than that it was really good

Diese Tagestour hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Obwohl wir am Morgen beim Abholen etwas verwirrt waren da der Fahrer nur englisch spreche und wir doch extra auf deutsch gebucht hatten. Und trotz wenig Englisch Kenntnis haben wir uns verstanden. Beim Zwischenstopp mit den anderen Geländewagen wurde dann deutsch gesprochen. Sehr eindrücklich die beiden Seiten der Insel zu sehen. Bootstour : nichts zu beanstanden ; wer mag kann schwimmen und wenn man Glück hat sieht man sogar Schildkröten.

Overall the tour was very good but more information about the history would would have been good as we felt this was limited and we had to research it after. We also would have preferred to have walked into the reopened Varosha instead of the old town or beach. Combining Famagusta with a boat trip was the perfect balance for the July heat, allowing you to cool off after a morning of exploring. The boat stops were great, we even got to see some turtles which was amazing. Guides were all fantastic

From the moment we were picked up from the hotel we were looked after. The trip was amazing ! Our guide Johnny had such warmth and humour it was like you were on a day out with family . Would highly recommend this trip . When you enter famagusta , the guides will give you a detailed and personal account of the invasion and it is heartfelt as it is clear they love their country . Loui var en FANTASTISK guide! Underholdende tur i Jeep, der dog trænger til en opdatering, fx aircondition ??. Havde dog ikke så lang tid i Famagusta, men så kunne vi have valgt en heldagstur i stedet for. Super bådtur - var lidt forbeholden over at skulle være 150 personer på båden. Men det gik fint, der var plads til alle, uden problemer. Og det føles ikke som en færgetur. Super god mad samt utroligt venligt og imødekommende personale??. Kan klart anbefales ??????????

Die Bootstour war Klasse, die Jeeptour mit dem Fahrer Werner gefiel uns gar nicht. Die Erklärungen von ihm waren auf Grund seiner Ausdrucksweise schwer bis gar nicht verständlich, sein Fahrstil für die Verantwortung an die Mitfahrer unzureichend. Zusätzlich gab es keine funktionierenden Sicherheitsgurte. Ein Highlight wr wirklich die Bootstour auch wenn dort nur Englisch gesprochen und erklärt wurde

Get better vehicles for the famagusta tour with working seat belts, windows with better visibility and maybe some A/C in the cars aswell, The safari-type land rovers look cool but are really impractical. Otherwise a really great experience!

Guiden vår Louis var helt fantastisk! Tok kjempegodt vare på oss under hele turen! Veldig informativ tur til den okkuperte siden av øya, absolutt verdt et besøk! Båtturen etterpå var en fin sjøvei-tur langs øya. God mat ombord og de ansatte opplevdes profesjonelle. Et par badestopp på veien, kanskje noe lange badepauser som førte til litt for lang båttur. Båten er mer en "ferje", dvs. ikke noe ordentlig soldekk. Langbord med plastikkstoler. Ok toaletter. Ok pris på drikke & snacks. Litt partybåt

The guide was good, but the vehicles could benefit from a speaker system so that all passengers could hear the ad-hoc commentary. The vehicles could also benefit from air-conditioning as some passengers refused to open windows beyond a crack because it messed their hair up. A guided tour of Farmagusta would have been nice rather than a 'see you in an hour'. The boat trip was great on a very hot day, food and service was good, and two turtles also made an appearance at the right time.

Our guide was George Michael for this trip, he was so friendly, understanding and easy to talk to. He had lots of information to share on our trip and was constantly checking in with us to make sure I and my husband were comfortable. Famagusta itself was an eye-opener but very interesting although the shop owners were slightly pushy for a sale. travelling in a 4x4 was difficult at times and the staff on the boat were very rude about my weight and the life jackets were ridiculous.

Brilliant tour guides. Tiny was fantastic and enhanced the experience so much. Loved the experience, especially learning from locals. Wieder ging es mit dem Jeep los, allerdings jetzt auf ebenem Gelände. Der Reiseleiter ( George Michael ) führte kompetent und auf lustige Weise durch diese Tour, deren erster teil den ernsten Aspekt darstellte : das geteilte Zypern. Selbst persönlich betroffen schildertte er uns objektiv die gegenwärtigen Verhältnisse. Für Famagusta hätten wir gerne etwas mehr Zeit gehabt. Die Bootstour war schön und entspannend und es gab ein leckeres Bufet. Tour ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Our excellent tour guide Tusca (apologies if I've misspelled it) told us loads about the history of famagusta and answered all our questions he joined us on the boat tour too along with some of the other drivers Loui and George Michael all were fantastic all the boat staff were brilliant too. Famagusta was a heart wrenching and surreal experience and swimming with turtles was definitely a bucket list moment. This trip was without a doubt the best day of our holiday & I would highly recommend it

Small group in Land Rover made for better experience. Guide was excellent. Famagusta is part of history that needs to be shown - a massive eye opener. Cruise was relaxing & fun with 2 swim stops. Life ring & jackets were available for weaker swimmers. Swimming with turtles was amazing. Meal on boat was great for meat eaters but no alternative for vegetarians, just salad & carbs which was fine but an alternative other than meat would have been good. Would 100% recommend this trip.

Die Fahrt nach Famagusta war sehr eindrucksvoll - unser Fahrer Bambos konnte die geschichtlichen. Hintergründe auf Grund seiner persönlichen Erfahrungen sehr eindrücklich erläutern. Leider war unser Trip an einem Sonntag, so dass fast alles geschlossen war. Die Bootstour war super, das Essen an Bord auch gut. Nur die ständige Musikbeschallung hätte es für mich nicht gebraucht. Eine sehr interessante Tour mit überwältigenden Eindrücken in Famagusta. Die Kombination von Jeepfahrt, Besichtigungen mit Freizeit und der Bootsfahrt waren perfekt. Auch der Guide, Fernando Alonso??, ist ein kompetenter und vor allem lustiger Typ. Absolut lohnenswert. Auch das Schnorcheln mit den Wasserschildkröten war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Eine rundum gelungene Tagesfahrt.

What a fantastic way to learn more about Cyprus and its history as well as relaxing in the sea. Instead of spending all our time at the beach or pool we decided to choose an excursion that would educate us a little on this wonderful country. Everything, from the tour guide to the 4x4 that collected us from the hotel made this experience feel like a proper adventure. Followed by a relaxing, fun cruise to the blue lagoon where you could swim in the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea. So worth it!

Ausflug wurde leider nur auf englisch angeboten bzw. die deutsche Gruppe war schon ausgebucht. Abholung im 4x4 Land Rover. Gruppengröße waren 8 Leute. Reiseleiter Georg Michael (wie der bekannte Sänger :-)) war super und sorgte für Stimmung. Grenzübertritt läuft problemlos. Famagusta und die Geisterstadt sehenswert. Die Bootsfahrt dauert 4 Stunden und ist etwas zu lange. Badesachen nicht vergessen. Das Mittagessen wird an Bord eingenommen und ist von der Qualität doch sehr "ausbaufähig".

My favourite experience in our time on holiday in Proteras..... Sad in places going through the ghost town in Famagusta and hearing about the invasion and suffering but fascinating to see parts untouched since the bombing in 1974. No photos were allowed but they were inside the walled city, nice to take a stroll round but early in a Sunday morning not many shops were open. The boat trip was fun , drinks reasonably priced and nice lunch. Great guides on both parts of the trip

Der Guide in unserem Auto sprach nur englisch, aber in einem zweiten Auto konnte der Fahrer deutsch so dass wir bei unserer Erkundung von Famagusta alles toll erklärt bekommen haben! Es war dort beeindruckend und sehr ergreifend was wir zu sehen bekamen! Unser englisch sprechender Fahrer war auch einfach nur super. Besser geht nicht. Die Bootsfahrt am Mittag mit Essen und Schwimmen war ein toller Abschluss des Ausflugs. Immer gerne wieder :-)

Super Ausflug und hatten ein tollen und lustigen Guide:George Michael (hoffe der Name ist richtig geschrieben) Wir wurden morgens pünktlich mit einem Geländewagen(9 Sitzer) abgeholt und fuhren erstmal nach Famagusta(Geisterstadt).Um über die Grenze zu kommen,brauchte man ein Ausweis. Die Geschichte über Famagusta zu erfahren und das mal live zu sehen,war schon emotional. Man konnte die Stadt nur von aussen sehen,weil sie ist komplett eingezäunt. Am Nachmittag gings mit dem Boot weiter..war toll

It was amazing from start to end! The tour itself was great and our driver, George Michael was the best! Gave us a lot of information and behaved amazingly with our group. I have to say that other guides were amazing as well, so definitely is a must while in Cyprus!

Es war alles wunderbar. Der Ausflug hat uns auch die nicht so schönen Seiten rund um Famagusta aufgezeigt. Der Guide war sehr nett und er hat uns Einiges über die Geschichte und Plätze erzählt. Die Bootsfahrt war ein toller Abschluss und das Essen war auch sehr gut :) Ein guter Tipp wäre noch die Gäste an die Roaminggebühren in der Türkei aufmerksam zu machen.

Het zien van farmagusta vanaf de boot stelde niet zoveel voor, het was erg ver weg. In de ochtend een klein deel van de hotellijn mogen zien vanaf land (weinig bewegingsruimte ivm veiligheid), dan is het jammer om vanaf de boot geen betere indruk te krijgen. Wel een enthousiaste gids die veel kon vertellen. Vooral zijn verhalen over farmagusta waren indrukwekkend.

‘Tiny’ was a great guide. Full of knowledge & humour making everybody’s day worthwhile. Only having 7 people on our jeep was good. The visit to Famugusta was fascinating & very worthwhile. The boat trip was also very good: the staff were very friendly & helpful although I think it helped having our guide onboard the boat. Only slightly disappointing thing was the first part of the boat trip was to ‘see Famugusta’ from another view point but we didn’t get very near it at all. Good overall

Bis jetzt der beste Trip den ich jemals gebucht habe! Der Guide für die Tour nach Famagusta (Hr. Pantelis) und die Mitarbeiter am Bord waren super lieb, motiviert und haben für eine mega Stimmung gesorgt. Die Tour nach Famagusta mit Hr Pantelis war sehr interessant, da er uns viel über die Geschichte des Landes erzählt hat. Mit dem Schiff waren wir bei den Cape Greco, in einer kleinen Bucht und sind in der blauen Lagune geschwommen. Unvergesslicher Ausflug!!!

Det var skuffende at finde ud af at det ikke var Tui der kørte turen. Ikke godt for en mand på 2 m og en kone med dårlig ryg, at skulle opdage at vi skulle køre i Jeep med kun et alm sæde ledigt. - skulle jeg være smadret i ryggen eller skulle min mand krølles sammen på bagsædet?? This trip is one of the best for variety. You get a glimpse into Famagusta and Varosha as they were left with very educational tour guides, as well as a relaxing boat trip with stunning views! Plus a delicious lunch included. The pickups ad drop-offs are easy. The real stars of this trip are the tour guides, a special thank you to George Michael for his enthusiasm and knowledge! You really made our trip. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Protaras, we would love to attend again!

Nowhere did it tell us that we would be picked up in an old Land Rover. We expected an air conditioned mini bus. Nine of us were rammed into the vehicle…..no regard whatsoever for COVID. Our guide was incredibly angry and kept telling us to take pictures and show people at home what Turkey had done, this despite the fact that every hundred metres or so there were signs telling you not to take photos!. We ended up with a very one sided view of the situation. As for the cruise……!

Super Leute und Fahrer der Jeeps und auch auf dem Boot. Alles hat wunderbar geklappt und war gut organisiert. Die Stimmung unter den Leuten war die ganze Zeit klasse. Für uns war es bisher einer der besten Tage im Urlaub.

Jeep turen var fantastisk, god guide, dog præget, forståeligt, af hvilke side af konflikten han var på. At se Farmagusta på vandsiden var skuffende, da man måske ikke må sejle tættere på med turister. Øvrig del af sejlturen var fantastisk.

Our tour guide George Michael, was so knowledgeable that he brought the tour to life. He was friendly and happy so great to have as a guide. The part in Famagusta was quite emotional, to see the empty homes left to ruin, so sad. The boat was such a contrast, a lovely time going along the coast in cakm waters. We saw turtles, tuna and other fish. Chance to swim whilst staff watched out for your safety. Such a good atmosphere, I would totally recommend this tour.

I found the Farmagusta tour and countries history interesting vision is limited though for people travelling in the rear section of the 4x4. Really enjoyed the cruise to the Blue Lagoon and the snorkeling stops along the way.

Bra guider, intressant information om Famagusta. Guiderna berättade med inlevelse och det var inte svårt att hänga med trots att det var på engelska, varken för oss eller tonåringarna. Guiderna ansträngde sig verkligen för att förhöja upplevelsen. 10 av 10! Perfekt med många badstopp innan framme vid Blå lagunen. Helt klart värt pengarna!

The trip was very well organised from start to finish. Our guide George Michael was excellent. He was friendly and passionate about the places we were visiting and taught us so much. The trip offered a nice balance visiting Famagusta in the morning followed by a relaxing boat cruise with 2x stops for swimming. Lunch on the boat was ok - chicken kebabs with rice, salad and potatoes. The tour is done in a 4x4 jeep which was different, but there was limited leg room and windows down as no air con!

Loucas our 4x4 driver was amazing, made the whole day so enjoyable and much more interesting! The crew in the boat trip were fantastic, nothing was too much for them and they really got everyone involved in the activities, especially us who weren’t fans of jumping into the sea, but we did!!!

Man erfährt sehr viel über die Geschichte Zyperns, auch auf Englisch spricht der Guide so langsam und genau, dass man es gut mit wenig Englischkenntnissen verstehen kann. Guide sehr lustig und sympathisch, sehr zuvorkommend. Gibt auch sehr gute Tipps, was man in Zypern ausprobieren sollte. Danke, George Michael :) Bootstour super, alles sehr sauber.
