What we expect
On this 4x4 tour with an expert guide, you'll head off from your pick-up location in North Iceland, usually, Akureyri or Lake Myvatn, and travel through stunning landscapes passing glacial rivers, mountains, and lava field deep into the highlands to visit the amazing Askja volcanic area.
Your group will visit the Hrossborgir explosion crater, the location where they filmed oblivion, and Gljúfrasmiður 'canyon builder' Waterfall. You'll then move on to Herðubreið, a flat top volcano where the beautiful Herðubreiðarlindir Springs is situated at the foot and are considered to be one of the most beautiful places in the wilderness in Iceland.
