The bus didn't pick us up so we didn't get to go. Was not informed of any issue. Had to call customer services who said there was an issue with the bus so it couldn't pick us up. No other explanation and still waiting for my money back

Meine Kinder wurden von TUI nicht richtig eingebucht, dadurch kam es Verzögerungen/Komplikationen. Bei der Tour selbst gab veraltete Technik: alte IPads mit umständlicher Software und ein Mono-Ohrstöpsel pro Person mit schlechter Audio-Qualität. Nach dem Besuch von Olympia folgte zu viel „Freizeit“ (2,5 Stunden) die mit zwei Teenagern bei 32 Grad Celsius im Schatten schwer zu füllen war.

Being prepared for the mid heat is key. The iPads are a good innovation but a bit of a pain to carry around the site. Especially if, like me, you are carrying water in a backpack. This tour is one everyone should do once. The museum is magnificent. Door to door this trip was not one I planned from the outset. I'm very glad I did it when I did. Not too crowded. Time to explore. Well put together. A great way to end my week's stay in Zante.

This trip was worth every single penny! Me and my husband loved everything about this experience. From being picked up in the morning from our hotel everything was seamless. Our Tui guide Kay was brilliant and very knowledgeable about the island of Zante. And a massive shout out to Nikki! I could have listened to her talking all day! She was our guide when we got to the site. You could tell that Nikki had a genuine passion for her country's history! Beautiful lady, beautiful site, perfect day!

Excellent day, but was 13 hours long not 8 hours. Timing communication could have been better. Smooth ferry crossing excellent guided tour of museum and ruins which when coupled with the iPad brought the whole experience alive. Engaging tour guides

Guide was excellent, informative, caring and attentive to our needs. The archeological guide was superb, her knowledge and deep understanding of the site and its extensive history was outstanding. Plenty of free time to investigate and get lunch. Travelling from the start to completion, including ferry travel great. Overall no complaints what so ever.

A really smoothly planned and coordinated day with lots of modes of travel. I would have liked a longer browsing time in the museum as we missed some of the artefacts and would have liked to have gone back but the entrance was chained off. It was very busy with lots of cruise ship trips in, so we had to keep moving. Our guide dealt with it really well, but it was a shame she didn’t accompany us into the stadium as I’m sure she would have been able to answer all our questions. Great day though.

It was known a storm was coming on Sunday but you went ahead with trip (we paid a lot of money ) it just rained all day it ruined what was going on to be a wonderful day in to a nightmare day , the only dry and warm bit was the museum. The guide was brilliant very informative and interesting .it was very uncomfortable having Wet shoes all day

Museum und Ausgrabungsstätte sind super, die Führung war sehr gut mit vielen interessanten Informationen. Hat Spaß gemacht und man hat viel gelernt. Schlecht waren die 2,5h Pause nach der Führung in Olympia bis der Bus abgefahren ist. Das war sinnlos. Dann lieber früher zurück fahren oder woanders hinfahren und noch was besichtigen.

Wat we minder vonden was de drukte. Er liepen meerdere groepen. Je liep elkaar wat in de weg, vooral in het museum. Op de ferry, was het met de toiletten slecht gesteld. Op de heenreis was er maar 1 beschikbaar. En op de terugweg 2 van de 4. Helaas was er daar geen toiletpapier. Dat meldde ik. Maar de dame in kwestie verwees me gewoon naar een andere unit. Onze gids, Zoë vertelde erg uitgebreid en vol enthousiasme over alles. De opbouw naar de Olympische Spelen beviel ons wel.

Laura was an excellent TUI rep informing us about all the travel arrangements to & from the site giving us extra information also allowing those that started the group early an amount of “snooze” time on the coach outbound. At the site the IPads & radio headphone was a great addition addition to learning & listening to the brilliant & knowledgeable Nikki. There was just enough time to explore the site by ourselves too & visit the town with some great souvenir shops bought some local honey too ??

Silvia sprach gut verständliches Englisch und hat die Tour gut organisiert,die Reiseleiterin in Olympia gab zuviele Informationen,sodass die Tour durchs Museum 1,5 Std. dauerte und nur noch 1Std. für Olympia blieb,man bekam Kopfhörer, sodass man sich im Museum entfernen konnte um Fotos zu machen,allerdings nahm die Einführung vor allem in die überflüssigen I-Pads sehr viel Zeit in Anspruch, außerdem musste man sie früh zurückgeben und konnte nicht auf dem Gelände bleiben,viel zuviel Leute da

The trip was excellent. Easy to book, friendly rep to accompany us, very well organised, fantastic local guide at the site and a good balance of group tour and free time to explore. The ferry back was a bit chaotic and very busy - but that was outside of TUI's control! It was an extremely hot day and we were very well looked after throughout.

A amazing experience. Well organised and just as advertised. Laura our TUI guide was excellent. Joanna the museum guide was also brilliant and extremely knowledgeable. We would have liked more time at the museum and archeological site. An extra half an hour overall would have been perfect. If we didn’t have to go back to hand in the iPads at a precise time we could have done that and had less time at the taverna and in the town.

My daughter and I are very much History lovers. We had a guide called Joanna and she was absolutely fantastic. We loved every minute of it. So interesting. The only ‘negative’ was it was VERY hot on that day but we found plenty of shade under the trees.

Reisleidster viel vaak in herhaling en sprak de groep continu opnieuw aan met dear geest. Paar keer is prima maar honderd+ keer op een dag gaat irriteren. Olympia is mooi om te zien maar de reis die je er voor moet maken is eerlijk gezegd veel te lang voor 1,5 uur activiteit naar mijn mening. Als je olympia een keer wil zien is dit wellicht handiger als je op het vasteland van Griekenland bent.

Eigenlijk was alles perfect. De transfer (met een VIP-busje) heen en terug naar de veerboot was perfect geregeld en de ophaaltijd klopte. De reisleidster Laura (engels sprekend) was geweldig, Ze had de boel onder controle, was duidelijk, grappig en sociaal. Ter plaatse was de rondleiding super geregeld met de headsets en de ipads. De gids (in het engels) van Olympia (Nicky) was zeer goed, erg deskundig, wist bijna alles en was serieus en op zijn tijd grappig. We hadden tijd genoeg voor alles.

Dat er uitgebreid verteld werd in de bus over de mensen van het eiland en het vaste land, veel leuke weetjes en info. De gids vertelde super veel dingen en wist veel en de tablet was ook leuk dat je kon zien hoe het er toen uitzag. Vrije tijd erna kon 10 min langer maar dit hadden we al aangegeven. De taverna was ook super na de tour. En dat we het stadje zelf erna ook konden bekijken was ook top! Laura deed het ook super!

This was the most expensive of all our tours but by far the best value for money. Laura who accompanied us on the bus was amazing. Mariella our guide in the museum and through the archaeological site was so knowledgeable she brought everything to life. We were in awe of the age these stones and artefacts. The beauty of marble and bronze I suppose. We had a long but fabulous day. Would recommend

De gids ging te snel door het museum en de archeologische plaats. Verzamelen om 1315 om de koptelefoon in te leveren. Dat had volgens mij later gekund. Om 1530 Verzamelen bij de bus, dus er was tijd genoeg geweest om langer in het museum en de archeologische plaats te verblijven. De gids verwees ons naar het belendende restaurant. We moesten zeggen dat we van Tui kwamen. We hebben twee keer gevraagd om iets te drinken en kregen het niet. Ook zagen we een kakkerlak. Verder was het goed geregeld

Alles is heel goed gegaan. Iemand die alleen de excursie zou doen zoals ik heb ik mij altijd heel veilig gevoeld. De gids, Niki is geweldig en heel informatief! De archeologische site van Olympia was heel spectaculair om te zien. Met een tablet kregen wij een illustratie te zien hoe het er eruit zag toen in de oude tijd. Na de site kregen wij even tijd om de winkels te passeren en iets te eten. Genoeg keuze en zeker een aanrader om te stoppen bij het Archimedes museum! Zeker een aanrader dit.

It was probably our most enjoyable trip whilst in Zante Worth getting up early (5am) for. The boat trip across to the mainland was nice and the site itself was amazing so much bigger and well preserved. Our tour guide around Olympia was amazing and our Tui rep Sylvia was very helpful throughout the day All in all a good well organised trip Gets a massive thumbs up from us ??

An unforgettable trip to a very special place. The whole day trip whilst starting very early from our hotel was very worthwhile. Our tour guide and then the Olympia guide were both excellent. It was truly amazing to see and understand all of the history.

Die Führung im Museum und durch Olympia war sehr informativ, obwohl alles in Englisch war. Leider waren nach der Führung im Museum nur 15 Minuten und in Olympia nur 30 Minuten für eigene Besichtigung übrig. Das ist zu wenig, denn danach waren 2 Stunden Freizeit, in der man aber nicht zurück ins Museum oder in die Ausgrabungsstätte konnte.

It was a magical day the guide had the ability to make you feel like you were there at the time, their knowledge of everything is amazing, however the equipment was a little difficult to hear as it was very loud in the museum not so much outside, the walk to the site was a little difficult especially for us oldies but i guess there is no way round that as it is ancient, outstanding day 10/10

Fabulous trip we don’t often do this sort of thing because often disappointing but from start to finish it was great! Smooth transition between coach and ferry, the ferry was a little expensive for coffee and croissant but nice. Tour guide around the site was very knowledgeable and helpful it may be a little too hot earlier in the year and definitely not suitable for younger children. Overall we can’t recommend it enough! Highlight of the holiday.

We had a fabulous day. It is amazing what the archeology team have recovered and restored. The museum itself has been laid out well with artefacts and the size of the statues are shown to their potential. A great asset to the town.

Insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Es war sehr interessant und viel zu sehen. Die Leiterin in den olympischen Städten hat uns phantastisch unterhalten und sehr viel Wissen vermittelt. Allerdings sollte man für den gesamten Tag ehr 12 Stunden einplanen. Mit an und Abreise reichen die angegebenen 8 Stunden nicht aus. Ebenso sollte man in der Beschreibung erwähnen, dass man im Ort 2-3 Stunden Freizeit hat, die wir persönlich nicht unbedingt benötigt hätten. Aber der Ausflug Ansicht war super.

Only criticism was having to take the tablets back early. Therefore, had to leave the site to do so and couldn't go back in as the tickets are single entry for both site & museum.

We kregen geen bevestiging na het boeken van de excursie. Een bevestiginsmail zou zeer handig zijn. Ook de oppikplaats was niet voldoende gespecificeerd. We hadden bijna de bus gemist omdat ze niet voor het hotel stond maar wat verder.

Whole trip overall was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend. My only small problem was with the ferry coming back being very busy. However we were told this would be the case. Loved the guide Nikki and also Sylvia our rep for the day.

This was a great trip. The museum was fascinating and it was amazing to walk round the ancient site of Olympia. The tour guide was very good indeed, extremely knowledgeable and made it all come to life. The travelling was fine, an hour on the ferry from Zante Town and an hour by coach to Olympia. We would highly recommend this day out.

This was a very very good day. The tour guides were very informative and provided us with lots of opportunities to ask questions and take photographs. Carol the Tui rep was wonderful, she couldn’t do enough for everyone on the trip and she put everyone happiness and safety first. Carol was very approachable and talkative, nothing felt to much for her to help with. Carol is a credit to Tui and we hope to see her on another trip in the further. Thank you

This experience was truly a wonderful day out. The coach and ferry over to mainland Greece was informative and comfortable. On arrival, we were given headsets and an IPad of sorts to help with the tour. The Olympia guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Went to the museum and the ancient ruins, took many photos. After given 2-3 hours to wander the village, eat at Taverna's, visit shops. But a long day and quite hot. Take plenty of water and a hat. Overall topmarks.

Ferry had no safety briefing regarding lifeboats and muster stations. Having seen a serious incident involving two Greek ships it is probably a good thing to run through.

The whole day was amazing, everything was in time and fully explained the itinerary, out TUI guide Sylvia for the day was just brilliant. The Olympia site was magnificent and the specialist guide around the site was very good. The best bit for us was actual going on the 1st very track of the Olympics and running in it.

Really interesting - lots of time at Olympia. A lot of travelling and a long day (pick up 05.55 drop off 20.30) but worth it. Might be worth mentioning it's a long day in info on tour and giving how long ferry journey (1 hour) is and how long journey to museum is (1 hour). The info states ferry is "a short hop" and is a bit misleading.

The hotel we stayed in was fantastic but at the time of year, October, Zakynthos is a very quiet Island which we have visited before. Our trip to Olympia was for us the highlight. A very early start but great to see the sun rising over the Greek countryside. The Olympic site is full of history and if you are up for it you can run the original race distance. Not the one to Marathon! A nice meal nearby after the visit. Would highly recommend this trip but perhaps not for small children.

We loved the trip, we travelled from Zakynthos, and it was nearly 3hrs travelling there, and then 3hrs back. So it’s a long day. Our guide was very good, she was very informative. There was 41 in our group which was maybe too many, especially when the headsets and tablet’s don’t work. We wasted over half an hour sorting those! The cost of the museum isn’t included in the price, it was extremely busy so wasted even more time trying to pay. Overall a good experience.

Great day out. Niki the guide round museum had so much knowledge and information. The museum itself was amazing as were the archeological sites. Had a lovely meal at the restaurant near the gift shop. The people in Olympia were so friendly. It is an early start and a very long day but would highly recommend visit.

Excellent trip. Chris the Tui guide organised and kept everyone on track. Nicky the Olympia guide was excellent so knowledgable. We could have looked around the museum for hours and not got the same level of information and understanding. Only downside was having to queue to purchase Olympia tickets. Be good if there was a way they could be pre booked.

You need to include entry to the site in your price , if you had tickets ready on arrival that would save almost an hour of frustration and confusion as to what was happening….. it was ridiculous and not a good start to what should have been a fantastic experience, this wasted time had a huge impact on the time we had remaining on site , your rep and guide were great but that that lost time should have been spent enjoying the location, instead we had less than an hour “ free time “ available.

The only thing that could be improved is to have the guide with you when you are buying the museum tickets. It just got a little busy and we were only allowed in a couple at a time and fell behind our ‘Group’ Also the head set and iPads could be collected at the end of the tour so we could have spent more time at the Olympic site. Other than that the overall trip was fantastic and well organised. The guide Jo was amazing her knowledge and ability to give us all the information.

The trip to the Olympia site was by far our best excursion of our holiday. So informative and we didn’t feel rushed to enjoy free time afterwards. The guide at the museum was fantastic and the use of the IPads was a great idea. My only suggestion would be that the price of entry into Olympia was included in the overall cost of the excursion. I would throughly recommend this activity

We were really excited about the option to visit Olympia from Zakynthos and had high expectations of the day. We were not disappointed - from the local pick up to being dropped off the day went really well. Great service from the day trip Tui rep - Chris as well as the guide at the Archaeological site. Only comment really would be if the site tickets could be bought and paid for in advance it would speed the process up giving more time to enjoy the site.

Prima geregelde uitstap. Ferry overzet met goede (lokale) gids. Prachtige site met fantastisch museum. Ter plaatste perfect sprekende Engelstalige gids die een schat aan info geeft. Hier kon ik nog uren naar luisteren! iPads krijg je mee tijdens de wandeling op de site zodat je een goed beeld krijgt van hoe het er vroeger uitzag. Leuke lunch in plaatselijke taverne.

Great day out, our guide Nikki bought Olympia to life for us. Everything went smoothly with pick ups, the ferry and transfers. Only issue we had is the batteries died on the headset and there weren't any spares available but Nikki made sure we stayed close enough to hear her. Enjoyed having the free time to meander a bit around the site and in the village.

We were told only 16 people would be on the tour on a small coach. It was more than double the number on a large coach. We also thought we’d already paid for the entrance to the site and museum entrance - neither of these were included which made the trip nearly double to cost for each person.

The tour to Olympia was absolutely amazing. The TUI guides were very pleasant, polite and helpful. The tour guide for the museum and Olympia site was very knowledgeable and focused on the main history rather than giving a boring palestra. We then had a full hour to explore the site and about 2hrs and a half to have lunch and explore the city itself. The trip was very well organised and if you enjoy ancient greek history then this is a must. Thank you for the great experience.

I didn’t think it was good value for money. It was a very enjoyable day but you offer it as being a guided tour which it was however we were left half way through because the guide you had given us had another tour. I felt you are rushed through the museum itself with the guide you give us and aren’t given any time to read anything and then are left outside. I would have preferred to have the guide either the whole way through or not at all seemed very misleading. Tui rep didn’t do anything.

Fantastic trip from pick up and on time clean,well stocked Ferry to the mainland. Excellent tui rep made the coach journey go quickly by! It is a very interesting day out, it’s amazing to know and sort of feel the atmosphere of such an ancient place. I do think you should just include the entrance fee in with the price of the experience as that is what this trip is for, makes sense.

It wasn’t a cheap day out but it was worth it. I thought there would be more travelling and that we needed a picnic. We didn’t know that there was so much free time and you could wander around the shops and that there would be restaurants for lunch. You should include more information about the itinerary.

Hele mooie -lange-dag! Ben je geïnteresseerd in geschiedenis&cultuur&oudheid en een afwisselende dag, zon, zee, oudheid: dan doen! Het museum is echt heel boeiend mede door de plaatselijke gids (top vrouw) - ook haar rondleiding op het terrein. Let op het is ook nog warm in september - zeker rondom het station.

Fabulous trip with Kay being a great rep and Niki being a perfect guide. The tour was so informative and brought the site to life. Just a small improvement would be to provide either the estimated entry fee or to provide a link to the site for costs.

You can't do anything about the heat but the trip and guide staff were excellent. The walk around such an historic site was really amazing. On the flip side, we realise that vendors have to make money but the prices at the vendors on Olympia site were WAY above the expected prices.

Très beau site et la guide de musée qui parlait français à pris le temps de nous expliquer mes choses les plus importantes sur olympie. Par contre le musée et le site ne sont pas inclus dans l'excursion et il faut payer dans le bus et en liquide car pas de carte bleue disponible . Il faudrait juste que ce soit plus explicite sur l'application TUI. Sinon tout était parfait !

The trip was very well organised and we werre kept updated throughout the day. Having just a little more time at Olympia would be usefuly but I know this is not possible due to the ferries. The guided tour felt a little rushed and we don't feel we saw everything, even after going back with our spare time. We certainly didn't get time to visit the other museum once we had eaten lunch and revisted the olympic site.

Guides were fantastic, Joanna at Olympia was VERY knowledgeable and passionate. Could not return to museum which meant that we didn’t get to see everything. Shame it didn’t collect from our hotel.

The pickups and drop offs were well organised and on time. Drivers were polite and respectful. Kay, the TUI rep was lovely, informative and very knowledgeable about the local area. Nicky, the Olympia guide, made the whole experience come to life. Can thoroughly recommend and it was very good value for money for a whole day tour.

Really enjoyed going but completely exhausted at the end of the day. After travelling from 6.30am and arriving at 11.30am, we needed a break for food and refreshment before going round Olympia. Doing it immediately meant that my husband was too out of breath and tired to do the tour, so stayed behind. I did it but was completely shattered by the end of the tour. Certainly glad I went

Not sure anything could be improved. The coach rep and driver were both excellent as was the tour guide at Olympia. She was extremely knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for the ancient history of Greece. This was the third time we have visited Olympia in the 23 years we have been coming to Greece.

Was een hele leuke trip met de boot en bus , alleen van de boot naar Olympia was lang en saai weinig te zien.Olympia museum was echt de moeite waard.goede uitleg om impressie te krijgen van wat er gebeurde en hoe het was.

This was so worth it! Yes it’s a lot of money and a long day but such an amazing experience. Our TUI guide Julia was very friendly and knowledgeable and Nickie who gave us a tour of Ancient Olympia was fab. Would definitely recommend whilst staying in Zante!

Voor de 2e keer deze excursie gedaan, het was nu minstens 10 graden koeler, dus overal kunnen rondwandelen en alles goed kunnen bekijken. De lokale gids was fantastisch goed (Niki) en met de headset was het uitstekend te verstaan. We hadden alleen graag wat langer in het museum willen rondkijken en wat korter in het dorpje. Misschien mag je met je kaartje na de lunch weer terug naar binnen?
