Beautiful place and the sunset was stunning . The whole area was very nice and peaceful (October ) Had an amazing dinner at the Magic Mountain restaurant . Prices in the shops were reasonable. Only downside was pickup at 9pm , this could have been a bit earlier as we all gathered about 8.30pm maybe just nearer the end of the season make pickup earlier. But overall a lovely trip and would recommend

Don't get me wrong the town of Zia is beautiful but I'm actually so unhappy for 1 the driver was late. 2, we only had 3 hours there. 3, all the shops shut at 8pm which left us standing in darkness waiting on a bus. I would like a refund for this trip as it was abysmal. It's not the towns fault it's the time getting picked up and basically paying £34 to be there for 2 hours. I have never had problems with excursions but I'm not paying that kind of money for a trip that lasted 2 out of 4 hours

It was a great way to get to Zia and spend some time there. I wouldn't feel comfortable driving a car on a way back at those bendy roads as there are no street lights so having a transfer was spot on. Zia is fantastic to see.

We had a lovely evening trip here. The tourist shops had plenty of things to see, the views were absolutely stunning, and the restaurants were lovely with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. A really enjoyable experience, would definitely recommend! The transfer was about 5/10 minutes late but was all smooth running.

We have now been to Kos with Tui 5 times. We were here in June and now September of 2025. In June and September we had the same bus driver to Zia. Both times we had been advised that we meet back at thw bus meeting point at 9:30pm and both times our driver has started to drice off without us!! We were never late and I checked the time as we sat on the bus it was 9:31pm. Only for a lady recognising us she made the bus driver stop and she came to get us!! The other time my mother made him wait!!!!

We would be better dropped off before the village to see the Sunset. ?? as that’s the best views. No one tells you till after. Then go for a meal then be picked up. It was a lot of hanging around after the sunset had gone down. Perhaps pick up at 9 instead of 9.30

Beautiful place w, beautiful sunset. Very busy we arrived a bit later than most so the rooftop restaurants were full but still saw the sunset. Left at 9.30, which seemed early, and if u wanted to eat, you did t leave much time to visit shops, etc. Low score for guide as there wasn't one only the driver

All went smoothly for us x we ate in the Sunset Balcony Tavern, food and staff here were lovely and reasonable priced menu. Picked up just after 5 and arrived in Zia just before 6pm. Collected at 9m.

Costs about 25% more than local companies, which use smaller more practical buses (minibuses) for Zia. TUI however drive large coaches up to Zia, which causes traffic jams, struggle to manoeuvre and especially when collecting passengers at the end of the night. The coach collection point is disorganised with tourists in danger of being hit by coaches, scooters, motorbikes etc. Coach was 10-15 minutes late on the way there. More or less on time coming back. Departure time coming back was 21:30.

Ziia was beautiful, worth a visit however we were sold the trip with a pick up time at 17.45, this was changed the day before to 18.05 but the bus didn’t stop to pick us up at the hotel, instead driving straight past 13 of us waiting, after a lengthy phone call to TUI we were informed a mini bus would come and pick us up, they were unsure why the bus hadn’t stopped, the mini bus turned up after 40 minutes, by the time we got to Zia we’d missed out on an hour of our experience, very disappointed

Really well organised Tui trip. Prompt pick up, not too many hotel pick ups en route and departed Zia at 9:40 as promised. Driver was really good on twisty roads and very friendly. Great sunset views over the islands if you walk up to the nature reserve in Zia - but otherwise the town/village is just a tourist trap of tatty shops and expensive restaurants.

The your in general is pretty poor and offers very little by way of value for money. The timings were off meaning everything in the run upto sunset is rushed. Allowing 90 minutes post sunset for “shopping” was unnecessary, and could have been done in half the time. Speaking as an ex-excursion manager this option could be massively improved.

Lovely sunset from Zia. Had a lovely meal in Olympia and found a nice place to watch the sunset with a drink. Loads of shops, and had time to have a quick look before heading back to coach. Kids enjoyed the change from resort.

We loved Zia. But the driver of coach 333 was appalling. He spoke on his phone the whole way/laughing manically/texting/ driving fast/dangerously and despite being the first on the bus at 5pm he dropped everyone else off in opposite order apart from us, if he had gone the same order for everyone I could understand but that’s just plain rude and extremely unfair for the people on the bus the longest I’m disgusted TUI would provide such a dangerous service

Zia is a really busy place with all the same shops. As much as we appreciate we are tourists, we want to see more than just gift shops. Zia was very busy at sunset, we luckily booked the oromedon a month in advance. But once we finished, the town was heaving with people! There were probably 4 coaches full of tourists, 3 were tui. Overall, value for money is great, taxis there and back cost a fortune so this is the best way of going to zia. Highly recommend, just expect a lot of people!!!

Driver picked us up a on time and told us what time to be back. Had 3.5 hours in Zia which for us was plenty of time. Don’t know why anyone would say it’s a rush. Went straight to Olympia restaurant to book roof top table whilst we had a wander. Views were unreal, service at restaurant was great. Overall highly recommend.

Beautiful views, but absolutely packed with coaches. Alot of the restaurants were full from people that had booked ahead or block booked as part of the coach package. Definitely worth the visit, just a shame so many coaches were squeezing people into this small village.

The driver was on time, friendly and informative. We arrived in Zia at 6pm. We had plenty of time to look around the shops before dinner. Zia was stunning. We stood on the bridge and watched the sunset before a bit more shopping and another drink. The driver collected us at the stated time. A perfect evening.

Driver was very clear in his communication about times to be back at the meeting point, and very helpful. Zia itself was WOW! Stopped at the Olympus for dinner and it had beautiful food (and wine). Finished off with a cocktail in a rooftop bar for the sunset. Definitely visit the church further up the hill, very serene. It was an amazing experience for us.

Drop off & pick up at Zia was convenient. We booked in advance for a table at Olympia 2 & you could not fault the food. As we arrived at Zia quite early we easily found a table for a drink. It would be better if Tui let you know roughly what time you arrive at Zia, to make it easier for booking a table.

Basically this is a taxi service to Zia… no advice to help book dinner and/or guide of the town is provided - it’s just pick up (9.30pm) and drop off (6.30pm) - 3 hours is plenty to walk, shop and eat. If you didn’t want to eat a hike up the natural park to enjoy the viewpoint is an option but having this information provided when booking would have made the trip more enjoyable.

We were dropped off at 6pm and collected at 930pm. This was a little too long. We felt the gift shops were all a bit same and mass produced though there were two or three with genuine Greek gifts and a beautiful pottery shop. We loved seeing the cats and the sunset was stunning and worth the trip. We felt like the bus pick up was chaotic on the way back with people everywhere and a lot of buses and traffic.

The pickup directions could have been much more clear. My confirmation told me my pickup location was at a car rental office. The actual pickup was at a bus stop half block down and across the street. I also had no idea what kind of vehicle I was looking for I didn't know if I was looking for a bus/van etc So i was standing at the shop and finally saw the bus on the other side of the road down the street and the driver was frantically waving me down and annoyed I was waiting in the wrong spot

This was my favourite evening of our holiday. Zia is beautiful and we had an amazing Greek dinner and bought some beautiful souvenirs. I loved it. However, the TUI bus was almost an hour late picking us up from the hotel - which we were warned of in advance, but this did cut the evening short. No explanation for the late pickup was given, which was disappointing.

When we went it was so busy the road was filled with of coaches, mini buses , cars and bikes plus pedestrians and it was manic. The plus was the food in the Olympia Taverna , the views and the quaint old village was good value for money , plenty of souvenir shops and we got picked up and dropped off

We were picked up at 5.30pm and arrived in Zia at 6.15pm. Zia is beautiful and there are lots of beautiful shops. We went to a restaurant at 730pm that was busy, so our food was served at 8.30pm. We had 15 minutes to eat and then we had to rush to the bus for 8.55pm. The sun had only just set, so we missed the end. Less than 3 hours was not enough time. The bus driver didn't check tickets either.

Bus arrived exactly on time and left on time too. Worth noting that bus driver wouldn’t wait at each stop for more than 30 seconds, so make sure you’re on time! But, it was expensive for a coach journey (16 GBP each) - I wonder if a taxi would have been cheaper and offered more flexibility (there isn’t really much in Zia to do for 3 hours….)..

Unfortunately I am unable to properly review the trip to Zia as the bus driver simply drove past the designated pick up point, leaving my own and other families standing in the blaring heat for an hour. I would strongly advise against booking any trips with TUI due to their unreliability and lack of care. Book through your hotel or a local provider while on holiday. I'm extremely disappointed that I missed out on this trip. Offered no compensation from TUI.

Provided a bus trip every day so can pick when to go. The other hotel drop offs were nearby so the journey wasn’t too long. There were lots of shops and restaurant options. It would be good if TUI advised beforehand to book a restaurant and at what time. It was confusing when leaving as lots of buses look the same as it was difficult to hear our bus number when we got off. It would be good to provide this bus number beforehand.

They have some beautiful shops to look around and brought a few treats. The view from the mountains was stunning. Overall a lovely experience.

We loved the trip from start to finish, we got plenty of time once we reached Zia to spend and see the sunset and then to have time to go have a meal or a walkabout. It was a very well organised trip.

Lovely evening to Zia to eat dinner and watch the sunset. We pre booked dinner and got a roof top table to eat and watch the sunset- it gets busy so pre booking even midweek was great. TUI reps in the hotel very helpful for dinner recommendations. Enough time to walk around the town after to watch the sunset. Was told a time to be back at where the coach drops off but multiple other coaches pull up too- check coach number before leaving coach

The view of the sun setting was spectacular and definitely a fantastic memory of the island. There is a certain vantage point to get the best view but traffic still needs to get by, albeit the number of vehicles is few. There is a small number of gift shops which had plenty of variety. Some of the restaurants offering a view were fully booked so maybe details of them in advance to (consider) booking a table could be useful. The restaurant we used was very good value.

Lovely trip to Zia, coach driver picked up at stated time and made everyone very clear of the time he would be picking us up for the return trip, our bus number and where to find him making it all a very smooth operation. Zia is a lovely village in the mountains full of lovely souvenir shops and restaurants. We rebooked a meal with a view at magic mountain which was reccomended by our TUI rep and it was lovely. Very glad we did prebook as it was very busy but would highly recommend this trip.

Zia was as beautiful as I had read and heard about, the sunset was truly stunning. Being the first and last pickup, which someone has to be, made it a really long journey that wasn't what I wanted. Had I realised I would've probably done a private tour but it didn't spoil the experience. Booking a table is a must either before you arrive or on arrival if you want to watch the sunset over dinner otherwise you can stand at the wall where the view is just as great.

Zia has fantastic scenery/views out to the coast and an amazing addition to our Kos holiday. Last pick up on bus and first to get off which was great but did split the family of 5 up on bus as bus was full. Again, messed up on telling us the right bus number before we got off in Zia. Going back, different bus, told last second so last to get on but not too bad as we were first off as picked up and drop off in Tigaki. I booked restaurant on arrival for 7pm, Olympic 2. Amazing views up there.

Zia was beautiful and 3 hours was plenty of time to explore, eat some lovely food and watch the sunset. Transfer was rubbish. Picked up 20 minutes late from a bus stop with no shade. When we arrived a few people including ourselves asked the driver what to do at pickup he just pointed at the time 9pm. We guessed he was picking us from the same stop but there was two buses worth of people no one knew what bus was there’s and the driver just rolled his eyes and shouted at everyone

The most amazing experience in Kos. The little village of Zia is completely Greek in it's entirety! It's stunning, the shop keepers are friendly but shop around. And you really can't describe how beautiful the sunset is. Please go! Only thing again is the transfer time in the hot bus, went private on a couple of other trips and small air conditioned taxis were much more comfortable. Still Amazing though!

Should just say it’s basically a transfer there could have been some guide information on the coach journey. Additionally you should recommend guests to phone and reserve a table for the evening meal as everywhere was reservation only and we had to wait an hour and half for a table leaving only 30 mins to eat before transfer home which was disappointing. We met a couple who went with someone local on the island who only paid 10 euro and was advised to reserve a table for evening meal.

When the bus turned up the air conditioning unit was broken and the driver told us it wouldn't be fixed until next day the temperature was in high 30s to me the bus should not have been in use. When we told the rep the next day she just apologised and walked off . It totally ruined our experience and a special day on our honeymoon we both where soaking with sweat as where all the other passengers not good service on TUI's behalf .

Beautiful views, lovely little restaurants and shops. you don't need more than 3 hours. my only advice would be book a table somewhere if you want to see the sunset with supper for around 7.30/7.45 as the sun went down about 8.30 (June) we didn't book but still got in at one of the most popular restaurants and got seated with a view. It also wasn't overly busy either I was expecting it to be heaving but it was pleasent and a lovely experience.

The transfer from our hotel took over an hour due to all the other pick ups at the other hotels, I think this needs to be included in the description to allow people to factor this into their decision whether to undertake the excursion. Bus driver was good, safe driving and explained when and where to be picked up from.

We were picked up and dropped off by the bus as arranged, and taken to the beautiful town of Zia. We were able to spend time looking around the lovely shops and enjoying a drink and meal at our leisure watching the sunset. Time wise, 3 hours is plenty. There were a few other buses so a lot if people in a small area for a short time but we'll organised and a nice evening out.

The trip to, Zia by night, was very enjoyable. It is lovely because, some of the shops are affordable, and sell gift like items, I managed to find 3 mens gifts here- bracelets, of which there were a good selection, fo r around 12 euros, upwards. Depending on your budget. We also ate out here, on one of the rooftop terrace restaurants, with the absolutely stunning views. Some of the gifts shops are more market like, cheaper brands, copies, which isn't up my street but little gems make it.

This was by far the most beautiful experience. Zia is such a beautiful village and the food was nothing short of amazing. Though we did not have a guide, we were given a few hours to roam around though, I felt that this was slightly too long. The transport to Zia was well organised with pickup Point and time and bus number sent in advance. Zia is beautiful and we had a great meal watching the sunset. The only improvement I would suggest to Tui would be to pick up for return later as we didn’t have long enough to look around, an extra hour would have been perfect. 9pm was early to return

The trip picked up near to our apartment, the journey was not informative e.g. no rep to give information of the areas you were passing through which would have been good. It is very busy in Gia, if you are determined to get your perfect selfie/photo get your place well before sundown. Many local restaurants, only a few with sunrise views so check online and book well in advance even before you get to Koz.

The bus rides a bit scary lol but that can't be helped, this excursion is 1 million percent worth it probably the highlight of our trip we ate on top of a mountain! and then walked up the national park highest point to watch the sunset and it was an incredible experience 10/10

Really enjoyed Zia, its a beautiful place. I would recommend going to visit. It can be very busy but we managed to have a lovely meal without pre booking anywhere. Lots of lovely little stalls /shops. The sunset was stunning but again very busy. The only thing I personally missed was a Tui rep on the coach giving us information either about the island or Zia during the way there, we were dropped off and picked up, however this was efficient and on time.

The Price includes transfer only basically but Zia is a beautiful small town in the sun, lots of places to eat while watching the sun set. Mostly shops selling souvenirs but all reasonably priced. We ate at Oromedon which we had booked and had a lovely sunset meal. Collection was at 9pm but as this is when all others get picked up, that part of town became very busy. This could have been more organised.

We’ve been on private excursions to Zia before by taxi with friends, but as there was only my wife and I we booked the Tui trip. There’s plenty of time to book a restaurant (which I would advise weeks ahead as they get very busy). Bus leaves Zia at 9pm.

Zia village itself is beautiful, paved with lovely cobbled roads with lots of gift shops and tavernas each side. However it is very hilly! We didn't eat at any of the Tavernas so can't comment but we did buy a few gifts from several shops which after visiting other towns on the island must say Zia is not overpriced at all. The sunset when it went down was beautiful. Zia village is well wort a visit.

Tour guide/rep/staff totally non existent!!! Very poor for TUI....The coach driver was very professional and an excellent driver. The trip to Zia was seamless. Picked up pretty much on time right outside our hotel and made it to Zia with 3 hours to explore. The coach trip was quick too. We initially thought we would need longer but there was just enough time to shop, eat and enjoy the view. Maybe even 30 minutes more as service was quite slow in the restaurant we ate in but that’s being picky and it was high season. Would definitely recommend pre-booking a restaurant with a sunset view before even taking off!

Our coach driver was very friendly and we enjoyed the Zia trip. We ate at a nearby Taverna (we recommend booking as it gets busy) and then walked up to see the sunset. The return coach pickup area in Zia was a little busy, but the driver had reminded us of the coach number before getting off, so we knew to watch for it! Would definitely recommend the trip.

This trip is just transport to Zia. The coach arrived on time. It took about an hours for all of the pick up and arriving at Zia. Once there you are free to do your own thing. There are plenty of restaurants and a viewing area in the street to watch the sunset which is absolutely stunning.

There's no guide or anything on the bus, and nothing included so a little pricey for essentially a bus ticket. Many people said if you wanted to eat at a restaurant overlooking the sunset these needed to booked in advance.

Zia, whilst pretty, is simply one short road of restaurants and souvenir shops complemented with lots of ‘sellers’ trying to help you purchase. Please book a restaurant seat prior to travelling as multiple coach loads of people arrive at the same time. These coaches leave at the same time and it’s chaos on the narrow road. We were yelled at by coach drivers and luckily recognised our driver as he had spent the whole journey there on his phone whilst reading using an elbow to drive!

Zia is lovely, a few restaurants to choose from, all great views and relatively cheap. The balcony gets quite busy around 15 minutes before the sunset, so get there early or make sure you have a good view from your restaurant.

Apparently coaches park up and get blocked in on a daily basis, and it happened when we went. After 30min one of the coach drivers came down to the waiting crowd to tell us what was happening. He said it might get sorted it might not, leaving everyone wondering how they would get back to their hotels. Not once did he say that more coaches would be sent. In the end, a group of coach passengers had to move one of the cars blocking the coaches so that we could leave.

Beautiful little town full of traditional Greek charm. Very friendly people. Amazing sunset views with a beautiful backdrop. Had an excellent meal there at a rooftop restaurant. Would highly recommend this trip. Only fault was 3 hours was not long enough to shop, eat and take photos. It’s a must experience to do when in Kos it was so beautiful nestled in the hills with a beautiful view of the island. Would recommend booking a table at the Olympia 2 and ask for the rooftop the view of the sunset was amazing and the restaurant was beautiful. Zia has lovely wee shops with lots of handmade pottery and beautiful gifts to buy and very cheap. The coach driver picked us up at 5pm and we arrived at Zia just after 6pm and picked us up at 9pm by only complaint would be the pick up at 9

Zia is beautiful and the sunset is incredible. Lots of lovely restaurants with terraces to watch the sun go down from the mountains.The cost for this trip is literally for a coach ride there and back, nothing more. We were picked up on time and got about 3 hours in Zia. Would have been good to be given some top tips such as best viewpoints and sunset timings. Having said this I would definitely do this trip again if in Kos for the ease of booking and knowing it is reliable transport.

Booking was easy using the TUI app and regularly informed of the pick up time and changes . Comfortable coach would have liked more information on Zia and the general experience from the guides. No real conversations with the customers and I had to ask on leaving the coach " What time was the sunset expected in Zia ?". Maybe some information or expectation given during the travel up to Zia ? . However, what a beautiful place and one of the most memorable experiences of my life . Amazing !!!

We went to Zia twice on our trip and loved it, such a beautiful town with some incredible views! We didn’t book a table and managed to get dinner ok but we were there last week (October) so it may be busier in peak season. Only thing I’d say is the “view point” is packed with influencers and people who want to see the sun set so you’ll need to be quick to get any space or else accept the fact you’re going to be peering over someone’s shoulder.There’s no guide/staff so a N/A option would be good.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The village was beautiful and the coach ride to the village gave you an insight into KOS and its countryside. The coach turned up on time, but it was rather full and as a person with limited mobility I found it difficult walking through the bus to find a seat. We were picked up at the exact time stated on our tickets and the journey took about an hour this was including picking other people up so not bad atall ! I would advise pre booking a table in one of the restaurants up there as they were very busy with lots of reserved tables. The views are spectacular though and the food was so tasty (we went to The Magic Mountain) .. we were safely picked up at the time our driver had told us at drop off and taken back to our hotel. This was a beautiful excursion and an absolute must. Overall think that the price for just transport was a little high, but the views definitely made up for it. Had a gorgeous dinner. Personally I think pick up at 9pm in September when the sun sets at 7.30pm was a little late as we were struggling to fill the time after eating and it was quite cold so bring a jumper if you're going then. This is a must in Kos to see the sunset amazing views, lovely little cobbled streets with great shopping, lots of restaurants with lower prices than Kos town, loved every minute of it, only thing I found the hotel and other excursion places offer this trip for cheaper after all it is only transport nothing is included

Overall Zia is a lovely place, and is very if not too popular, the idea is to go have a meal in one of the tavernas and watch the sunset while having your meal. Its only when you get there do you find that all the tavernas are fully booked and basically there is no room at the Inn, so much for the romance. But on the other hand the sunset is spectacular so making the journey is worthwhile.

Lots of touristy shops. Could have been slightly shorter as we were ready for the return coach before itcwas due. Would recommend this trip.

Zia is a lovely place, this is just a transfer. I had a wonderful time and got engaged by the sunset! Good value for money and a lovely afternoon. Make sure you eat promptly as you may not fit in everything if you leave it too late.

Although no tour guide on this trip you don’t need one. The bus driver was easy to understand even with limited English. You get 3 hours but if you want a meal I suggest either booking one before you go and at least dine as soon as you get there as they get so busy you won’t have much time to check out the lovely shops.

Too many pick ups/drop offs at different locations. We were on the coach each way for one and a half hours. There was no guide on the tour and the coach driver had very limited English. Zia itself, very lively and bustling, the sunset was a phenomenal, we just about had enough time to have a meal and a little look around the shops. Most were your run of the mill tourist shops, but there was some lovely craft stalls. The drive up was a little hazardous, 2 way traffic on a narrow road V a bus!

The trip is essentially a transfer to Zia however this is much more preferred as it did mean that we could go at our own pace and was made clear before. TUI offered us a great value for money trip, which we enjoyed and wouldn’t hesitate to go again.

Zia is a beautiful village. The food was amazing at the sunset taverna. The sunset was beautiful and there was plenty of tourist shops to buy souvenirs. Got around 3 hours there which was plenty of time for drinks food and watch the sunset which was amazing.

Definitely go to see the sunset from Zia if you are in Kos. Cute little place with little shops and baby chickens walking round. We watched the sunset from the viewpoint on the road with other tourists as we couldn’t find a restaurant with tables with a view- my advice would be to book a table with a view of the sunset in advance, or watch it from the road and get food after like we did. Prices were the same if not cheaper than Kos town. Lovely experience :)

Outbound flight was 4 hours delayed. Return flight was 1 and a half hours delayed. Apparently most of TUI's flights are delayed according to frequent travellers with TUI we spoke to. Food and drinks selection outbound was very poor quality and non existent on return flight. It's a must to have something better on the flights if they're going to be delayed regularly. Communication with TUI while abroad was excellent via their App. Buses were on time and transfers were well organised.

Great sunset trip to Zia. Found a fabulous restaurant (The Blue Mountain) and had the best steak with views of the sunset. Zia itself was very buzzy with loads of shops to mooch around. Just about the right amount of time before we had to be back in the bus. Surprised there was no Tui guide/rep on the trip - just the Greek driver so no chat on the journey but it didn’t really matter.

It’s a pretty standard trip, it’s a very touristy area. There are ALOT of people that go up there, so if you want to stay away from crowds this trip isn’t for you. If you walk down to the bottom car park there is a lovely little restaurant that isn’t rammed like the others! I would say that the time spent at Zia is a little too long! It’s also very chaotic getting back onto the bus, ALOT of traffic and people getting on other buses too! There is some beautiful paintings sold up a little street!

This basically a pick up and drop off bus from our hotel to Zia, 1730 - 2130, and di the job very well. We had some time to wander the shops iv Zia, some are very nice, have a look in the Church, all views down to the north are amazing. We then had a dinner on a roof top terrace at Avli (I think), the meal, service and views were fantastic - Zia is such a beautiful spot and not far from any of the hotels.

Lovely evening, beautiful views, perfect sunset, colours are gorgeous from all around, little market stalls set up and all of Zia looks so pretty all lit up along the restaurants. A little tip though, as soon as you arrive go find a restaurant for a perfect front row seat & visit the stalls after your meal and sunset.

Journey to Zia took a bit longer than expected with multiple pick ups from other hotels, and mechanical problems with the coach which was a bit scary. Confusion with the restaurant booking that the Tui rep had kindly made for us, as there are two restaurants with similar name, but we were given the name of the wrong one, adding a 20 minute delay. Then everything seemed very rushed with only 20 minutes to look around Zia. However, the meal was great, and the sunset was spectacular!

The visit to Zia is great. Quite a long journey to get there (about and hour with stops), but a good opportunity to see the surrounding area and other hotels as you stop to pick up other people. Zia is very pretty with cobbled streets and hens running about. There are some shops with the usual souvenirs, but the gem is the Watermill cafe with their homemade strawberry lemonade! Very reasonable prices for food and drink. You can watch the sunset here in a chilled atmosphere. Recommended trip.

A wonderful excursion to Zia. The most magical and breathtaking views and sunset from the mountains. The small local village selling craft wares and an array of local garments alongside small Greek tavernas is just something everyone should get to experience when on vacation in Kos. The trip to Zia by night was about a 20 minute bus journey from our Hotel in Lambi. We were picked up on time. We had time for a meal and to watch the amazing sunset. A quick browse around the shops and then that was the end of a lovely 3 and a half hour experience. Could definitely of done with an extra hour to look around and have another drink maybe. The only downside of this experience was the wasps if you're sat outside on a terrace.. As soon as your food was served they were everywhere.

The town was very nice, all the shops sold the same things as usual in tourist hotspots. The 40 min coach ride there wasn’t to bad. Only had roughly two hours to see everything. Just enough time for a bite to eat and catch the sunset. The coach ride back however took an hour and a half as it went around most hotels on this side of the island before ours. Unfortunately due to the winding roads and abrupt stops due to on coming traffic I wouldn’t advise going if you suffer from travel sickness.

The guide was very friendly and helpful, but for some reason we were not on his passenger list (booked online). For a moment I thought he wasn't going to let us on the coach. Main complaint is the poor joining instructions "main road bus stop" when there are loads of bus stops - and they are all numbered! For clarity just say "Bus Stop No 4 on main road". So easily put right.

Our Tui rep recommended a restaurant in Zia and booked it for us. We had the one of the best tables for viewing the sunset. We chose a 7.30pm sitting, but the pick up time was 9pm, we had to wait quite a while for our food, so ended being up rather rushed. Would recommend booking a table earlier, but this will limit your time looking round the market.

Zia is beautiful and the sunset was incredible so I'm really glad we did it - I wouldn't normally do a trip but our hotel wasn't great and we weren't having a very good time so we decided to get out for the evening. It turned our holiday around. It would have been nicer to have a little longer there though as we literally had time for dinner and that was it.

Would personally recommend watching the sunset from the beach - much more impressive and more wow! But if you want a little trip up the mountain with some souvenir shopping followed by dinner in one of the many Tavernas to watch the sunset, it is a pleasant evening out!

Zia was the most beautiful place to see the sun set. We booked the coach and was left for 3 hours to do as we pleased. We had a mea on a balcony at The Olympia 2 restaurant and it was perfect. A bit chaotic getting the coach back as quite a few coaches were going at the same time. But we would definitely do it again.

Easy to book, coach on time (5.40 pick up from Atlantica Beach Resort), a timely arrival into Zia (6.40pm approx) with good instructions on pick up times and location. We had a meal booked so I think a pick up of 9.30pm instead of 9pm would have made it a little less rushed towards the end. Coach driver was great at telling us about the other pick ups en route (x5 …x3 into hotels, the other two roadside, all along the way any how) and how far the drive was. Great trip all round.

Didn’t need anything else just my name when the bus collected us, Maria or lovely tui rep, booked a table for us to eat at that evening, she said she would try to get us a good one with a great veiw, thanks to Maria and tui we had an amazing evening.

The trip to Zia is well worth a visit. Brilliant views, made a very special evening. One thing i would change is an issue with the coach pick up times. Now they are all at the same time in such a small village. So you have around 10 coaches and hundreds of people trying to find which is their coach (there should be a clear sign in each window with the hotel destination/coach number). Coach pick up times should be staggered.

We loved the trip and it was wonderful experience and something we appreciated an enormous amount. however. We thought we would have more time to explore. When we arrived we were told we are picked up at 9. Bus for 8.50!!! We arrived at Zia 6.30pm so didn’t feel we enough time to appreciate what was on offer. Then for the sunset which was main attraction all restaurants with best view were reserved. Yet as we noticed most did not turn up for sunset in Olympia . We were not notified of this.

Zia is a beautiful place. I found the trip east to book on the app. The coach was 20 minutes late going to Zia resulting in 20 mins less time in Zia and what a surprise the bus was 15 mins late to collect, luckily for us a kind coach driver realised no one had came and rang the company up and he took us home instead. It would be nice if someone from tui could be on the coach to answer any questions or give tips

The sunset and rooftop garden reservation was an amazing experience. Also the hidden gems around Zia were a nice treat, also the journey is definitely perfect for an adrenaline junky it was the perfect balance of nerve wracking and exciting in it’s own way. The coach driver was also very charismatic and enjoyable. The only thing is that the first impression of Zia is that it is full of tourist-y shops selling souvenirs and requires venturing to find culture and hidden gems.

We enjoyed our evening in Zia it was a very nice place with lots of places to eat/drink as well as the shops selling local goods etc. It was very busy and you need to be careful when walking the streets as traffic is coming and going all the time in both directions. Not really suitable for the young or less mobile due the the cobbled streets but overall a good trip with fantastic views and potentially great sunsets subject to cloud etc.

Really good value, much cheaper than a taxi each way for us coming from Atlantica Beach Resort. Bus got there just after 6.30pm and picked us up at 9pm. We had dinner at Oromedon at 7pm (was amazing!), left around 8.15pm and had plenty of time to explore before home time, I think any later pick up would’ve left us struggling for things to do, especially as the sunset is at 8.30pm. The views are incredible, absolutely beautiful! Definitely recommend this excursion, really enjoyed the evening.

The coach arrived on time, would have preferred to be picked up at the hotel as we were unsure what bus stop to go to. the staff at the hotel couldn’t tell us, TUI rep wasn’t due at the hotel to ask, we had to find out from other holiday makers. Once at the Zia all was well, views fantastic especially from the small birds/wild life sanctuary €4 Adult €2 Child, Food was great, good price only down side is the waiting time for the food as very busy so we didn’t have time to look round town.

The most beautiful part of the holiday, no pictures or words can describe Zia. Nothing could be improved apart from the journey as our bus broke down about 10 minutes away from the town but it was hardly an issue because of the beautiful surroundings and a new bus arrived in about 10 minutes.

It would be ideal if Tui recommended pre booking your restaurant, however, as if you don't you are unlikely to get the better views. The shops sold a lot of tourist stuff, I thought we would see more traditional goods so that was disappointing, prices quite high too.

The trip itself was wonderful - basically a transfer to Zia and free time. Cheap and cheerful. With that being said, the journey is long with all of the pick ups and the a/c on the coach kept cutting out. Furthermore, pick up from Zia was pandemonium - 5 coaches - hundreds of people - no guides - everyone running around to get on the correct coach. All in all good value for money but the pick up and transfer really let it down.

I do get fed up with Tui over-charging for these trips. I paid £12 pp for what was, essentially, a bus ride to Zia. I could have booked it locally for 10 Euros. The guide was perfectly pleasant but didn't give any information about Zia.

Zia itself was amazing, highlight of our trip! Getting there in time for the sunset was beautiful and there were great restaurants and shops to browse late into the evening. However, in all honesty you could do it independently for a similar taxi fee and there was no guide/staff representing TUI beyond a driver. Would recommend but understand you are only paying for transportation from TUI rather than an experience in Zia per se.

The bus driver took us up to Zia, dropped us off and said he'd pick us up 3hours later.
the trip back was hair raising. He took us past the old Fort down minor roads. Bad bad!!

Lovely trip, beautiful sights. It's worth doing the nature park as well. If you want to have a meal while you watch the sun set, I would recommend making a reservation, although the restaurant that we ate at were very accommodating. Our trip was 3hrs, though we probably only needed 2hrs.
