What to expect

This guided tour blends nature, wildlife and authentic Costa Rican flavours into one culture-filled day out in the countryside. You'll begin with a dip at Posa Rio Celeste, where sky-blue natural pools and a waterfall are waiting. Next, you'll visit a farm where sloths, monkeys and toucans are known to hang out. While you're here, you'll head off on a cacao, pineapple and coffee tour, learning how each one is grown – you'll have the chance to taste them along the way, too. Then, savour a lunch made from the farm-fresh produce grown here, offering a true taste of Costa Rica.

Loved the waterfall tour and nature walks along with the guided explanation and tasting of cocoa, chocolate and coffee making as well as pineapple and sugarcane juice. Also got to see two sloths at close range which was the highlight of our tour . Special mention of Pablo, Joshua the driver and Joshua the nature guide for their knowledge, excellent service and courtesy.

Amazing guides and service and very safe. Only down side was that we were told it was a half day tour and would return between 3-4 pm. We didn’t get back till 5:30 pm

Our driver and guide were awesome, very knowledgeable and really provided great value. Each stop on thos tour was perfect, the waterfall was amazing and a perfect first stop. We really enjoyed the coffee/ cocoa/ pineapple tour and the lunch that was provided was perfect. Everything was great but the nature walk really topped the day, our guide was amazing and so knowledgeable.

Our tour guide Astin was the best, very accommodating and like traveling with a local friend. All of the activities were located at the same large facility which was very relaxing. The included lunch was absolutely delicious. The van is comfortable. 10/10!

If I realized that all three “plantations” were actually one plantation with three booths, and I was going to be in the van longer than at the facility I would never have gone.

The 10 hour excursion was 7 hours of travel time in a van. Left at 7:00 in the morning, stopped at a restroom after about 1.25 hours then drove again until 10:00. Spent 30-45 minutes at a blue stream then continued on to the coffee, pineapple and chocolate portion of the tour. Underwhelming does not describe this portion of the tour. Drove again and finally had lunch at 2. No water offered in the van. Another couple of hours to get back to our hotel. Costco concierge notified of concerns.

The entire excursion was very enjoyable from start to finish. Our guide, Esteban, was amazing! The staff for the coffee and cocoa tour were fantastic and the restaurant service after the sloth encounter was perfect. The guided walk to see the waterfall was also great!
