Discover Poble Espanyol, Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, Plaça Espanya and Montjuïc hill. Martina, one of our expert local guides, says ‘Originally built for an exhibition almost 100 years ago, Poble Espanyol is a ‘village' which is home to 117 replicas of some of Spain's most celebrated architectural gems. The onsite fine art museum has works by Picasso, Dalí and Miro on display, and lots of local artisans make and sell their handicrafts here.'After a look around Poble Espanyol, the next stop offers the chance to see the striking exterior of the Sagrada Familia, a church resembling a wave-worn sandcastle – the most famous legacy of legendary local architect Antoni Gaudi. Martina adds, ‘Construction began on the Sagrada Familia way back in 1882. The current estimated completion date is 2026 – meaning that the building will be completed 100 years after Gaudí died. I think he would be proud to see how well his ideas have been realised.'You'll then have plenty of free time to explore Barcelona under your own steam. Maybe take a stroll along the pedestrianised Las Ramblas and visit La Boqueria indoor market where you could opt to try some of the tasty treats on offer. A panoramic drive through Plaça Espanya and over Montjuïc Mountain, with its bird's-eye views of the city and waterfront, round off the day before heading back to base.

Excellent trip, tour guide was fantastic, very friendly, very informative of the area, and the history of Catalonia. Poble Espanyol was beautiful with fabulous views of the city of Barcelona. Barcelona itself was great, Gaudi's Sagrada Familia is absolutely beautiful, as is the city itself. Will definitely visit Barcelona again as there is far too much to see in one day, but this trip gives you the opportunity to have a a taste of this fantastic city and what is on offer.

The trip is well overpriced for what it is. The Spanish village is nice but not everyone’s cup of tea and a bit dull. Not enough time in Barcelona looking at what makes the city great, the football club was hardly mentioned. Could have done with more time at Sagrada Familia, even an additional 10 minutes would have helped. Also some more free time in Las Ramblas to explore. All in all I felt like it was an overpriced waste of money that hardly touched on what makes Barcelona such a great place.

Michael our guide was fantastic. He gave us loads of information and direction. Walked us to The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia . We had 2 hours free time after the Cathedral. It was a good trip for a taster of Barcelona but you would need to return again to see more. I would recommend this trip.

The TUI guide with the coach walked past us as we proceeded from our hotel, Belevedere, to the coach No 6, at the correct pick up point, the Romana Hotel. The coach door was closed and as we waited the tour guide returned and got on the coach, without speaking to us, and drove off leaving us standing there. We were there before the stated collection time. We spoke with the Tui rep in Belevedere and he showed us a photo the guide took outside Belevedere and no one there. We were at the Romana.

We were told to wait for the coach outside the hotel. Which we did. It didn't arrive,so after 3/4 of an hour we went back into the hotel and complained. Eileen told us that we had been waiting in the wrong place. We were offering to go the next day,but it was too long a tour. My husband and l both heard the instructions to wait outside the hotel,but we were told that was not the case.

Mile was amazing with his knowledge and understanding of the areas. And the driver was kind and friendly. Well structured for the locations but would have enjoyed more free time but understand due to the location this wouldn't be hugely possible. Possible try and arrange 3 pick up spots to prevent the traveling to hotels so save time as that took a while to do.

Our tour guided was excellent. We didn’t really find the old Spanish town very good. Half of the shops were closed and lots and lots of schoolchildren were visiting, they were running about all over the place. When in Barcelona city we were warned by the tour guide about pickpockets, we experienced seeing a member from our bus be attempted with pick pockets, we were watching them and scared them off. This totally put us on edge during the Sagrada Famillia viewing, we didn’t feel safe at all.

The coach journey was good and the guide was very informative. She had great knowledge of the city. But it was restricted to only 3 parts of the city, the Spanish Village, Holy Family Church and the port so it wasn't really a city tour as such. The guide described it as a snapshot kind of tour to give ideas where to visit if we go back to Barcelona, suggesting a weekend break would be the best form. Maybe drop 'city' tour and suggest specific tours of Barcelona?

The tour was priced at 49 euros each at the hotel , but as no tui rep turned up we had to book it online. This cost us £49 each which meant we paid over 18 euros extra for the trip , and it would not accept the promo code either. We were only allowed 45 minutes to see the famalia sagrada Church and only just over an hour to see poble espanol. This only allowed us just enough time to see the museum. It wasn't worth a few hours of free time as it took too long to get too and from pick up point.

Deze recensie heeft niets te maken met de excursie op zich, dat was allemaal ok. Het probleem is dat de TUI agent geen ticket of ander fysiek materiaal kon afleveren bij de boeking, enkel een mail. Dit stelde oudere reizigers voor een probleem want die hebben geen mail **********. Hierdoor werden hun boekingen op mijn ********** geplaatst met de nodige print-problemen in het hotel. Ik heb dus de taak van de TUI agent kunnen doen. ??

Our guide was very informative, telling us about where we were driving through. On arriving at Spanish village he took us upto the monastery and then we had free time. Arriving in Barcelona our guide took us to the Cathedral ( he had already given us information on the coach) The Cathedral was amazing. We had 2 hours free time. Our coach driver was great.

Fab guide and driver and was lovely to see sagrada familiar again. I've never done pobl espanyol and it was amazing! But to only habe one hour meant we literally rush walked around, saw no demonstrations and couldn't see it all. Shame as it was fantastic. Didn't see much if the famous city bar a modern shopping centre on way out which again was rushed. This trip needs separating into 2 so all can be enjoyed fully.

Poble Espanyol was a lovely Spanish village with an art museum and shops selling hand-made items. Would have loved to spend more time at this stop. Sagrada Familia is an awesome building, this stop was just to walk around the outside of the building and take photos and we had a look at the little stalls outside. We seemed to have too. Much time at this stop. The last stop was shopping, the aquarium or walking. I would have loved more time at the first stop, rather than 2hrs here.

Initially, I had reservations about booking this excursion because I have young children and was concerned about the amount of walking involved. To my surprise, this turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. The kids not only had a great time but also learned a great deal about the history of Barcelona. The walking was not a problem at all, as there were plenty of breaks, opportunities for drinks, and restroom stops. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I wholeheartedly recommend.
