Between the years of 1639 and 1658 Rembrandt lived in the building on the Jodenbreestraat, that is now converted into a museum. It is here that the artist experienced joy and sorrow, received his guests and clients, trained his students and created masterpieces.

Stroll through Rembrandt's living room and bedroom, into his kitchen, art room and studio. Inside each room in the house you'll uncover more about the artist and admire the decorated spaces filled with works of art, furniture and objects from Rembrandt's time.

The Rembrandt House Museum owns an almost complete collection of etchings by Rembrandt, which are regularly on display. In the modern museum wing you’ll find temporary exhibitions with artworks by Rembrandt, his contemporaries, his pupils and contemporary artists following in Rembrandt's footsteps.
