What to expect
This two-hour walking tour introduces you to Dusseldorf’s best bits. You’ll start the day in Konigsallee – the city’s, which is fitting since Dusseldorf’s known as Germany’s fashion capital. This tree-lined avenue is lined with high-end boutiques, from Gucci to Chanel. You’ll also get to visit the Japanese Quarter, which is home to Europe’s third-largest Japanese community. The district’s packed with kimono shops, sushi restaurants and karaoke bars. After, it’s time for a dose of history, as you stroll past the castle tower – the only surviving part of the castle that once protected the city. You’ll also head towards the old town, where you can cross the town hall, age-old churches and traditional beer halls off your must-see list. You can also inspect the Stadterhebungsmonument, which is like a visual history book of Dusseldorf.
