What to expect
Seen from the sea, La Gomera's jagged peaks and luxuriant landscapes tell you something special lies ahead. As Arianne, one of our expert local guides says, ‘Garajonay is primeval – it has vegetation from millions of years ago, which is why you can encounter outsize versions of flora such as giant dandelions, huge bush snapdragons and bay leaf plants twice the size you'd see at home.'After crossing by ferry in VIP seating – with drinks included – you'll board an air-conditioned luxury coach. Soon, you'll be climbing up from sea level through ravines. There's a pit stop in the hamlet of Chejelipes, where you can take some snaps by its reservoir. Next up are the valley village of Hermigua and Agulo, a hamlet that looks down towards the north coast. It's famed for its dinky houses and views of Tenerife. But the cobbled alleys around its white-roofed, Greek-style parish church epitomise the romanticism of rural La Gomera.But the best is yet to come. You'll ascend to the rim of Jurassic-like Garajonay – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – which is often shrouded in a misty horizontal rain, towards the visitor centre. Learn about the park's botany and history as well as its environmental protection programme. Plus, you'll visit an ethnographic museum, where you can sample some local delicacies. At a family-run restaurant, you'll savour a typical Gomeran lunch made from locally sourced ingredients. Then meander through laurel woods to Laguna Grande Forest. And if time permits, you'll get to wander around the island's capital, San Sebastian.

Unser Guide Christian und Fahrer waren super das Essen war das Geld nicht wert (undefinierbar) war keine wipp Fahrt (12personen gesagt ) sondern 19Personen im Bus viel zu teuer wurde uns angepriesen als kleine Gruppe Wippfahrt wäre die normale Fahrt um einiges günstiger gewesen und bestimmt genauso gewesen ??

La Gomera im Schnelldurchlauf, darüber muss man sich im Klaren sein. Tolle Landschaften. Es wurden immer wieder Getränke gereicht, super. Immer, genügend und gute Toiletten.

Die Gruppe war wie angekündigt klein und Nett. Die Sitze der Fähre waren nicht annähernd wie bei der Buchung gesagt First Class. Die Polster waren drauf aber ohne Funktion. Der Busfahrer und der Guid waren hervorragend leider war die Zeit zu knapp zum Erkunden der Gegend. Das Essen (im angeblich besten Restaurant von La Gomera) war bescheiden und bestellter Weißwein wurde erst garnicht an unseren Tisch gebracht. Freundlichkeit sieht anders aus da hilft auch das Pfeifen nicht.

Leider hatten wir trotz VIP keinen kleinen Bus -wie versprochen-, mit dem man kleine Straßen benutzen und andere Orte sehen kann. Das zuviel gezahlte Geld wurde aber anstandslos erstattet.

The whole holiday experience was excellent. other than the TUI flight my Barclays debit card was not excepted as payment so I was unable to purchase and refreshments nor buy any gifts. Very disappointing it remained the same both in and out flights owing to a glitch. !!!!!!????

Nous n’avons pas eu assez de temps pour nous promener dans la réserve naturelle qui était le l’endroit à ne pas rater. La visite au musée n’était pas intéressante et la visite de la bananeraie est restée trop superficielle. Quant au repas au restaurant il ne correspondait pas à nos attentes ( bof !) . Par contre nous avons apprécié la compétence de notre guide et de notre chauffeur.

Coach from hotel ok boat trip was fine as for breakfast not very good and as for lunch it was not great no description on what it contained only thing that was worth eating was the bread roll so not. a good lunch and a very hungry customer and do not believe it was worth the money

Sehr engagierte Reiseführern, die sehr gut deutsch sprach, sehr viel zu Geschichte, Biologie und Geografie erzählen konnte. 6-Sterne-plus !!! Der Tag war recht voll gepackt. Viele foto-stops - da würden einige weniger auch reichen. Alles in allem - sehr zu empfehlen. Die kleine Gruppengröße war absolut von Vorteil!

We betaalden voor vip, was € 60 duurder dan de gewone maar is dit niet waard. Krijgen enkel klein ontbijt op de boot en in terug te komen pakje chips met frisdrank. Dit is dit niet waard. Ook de gids was heel druk. Denk niet dat ze 5 minuten heeft gezwegen tijden de hele dag, herhaalde steeds hetzelfde en sprong contant over van Engels naar de Duits. Zelfs de Engelstalige en Duits sprekende konden haar niet volgen, soms een 5 minuten zwijgen zou super zijn.kwamen overspannen terug

Landschaft hat gefallen. Nicht gefallen hat uns das angebliche Frühstück an Bord. Ganz schlecht. Azch das Mittagessen ließ zu wünschen übrig. Weiterhin die botanischen Abhandlungen, immer wieder und wieder. Außerdem haben wir keine Verkaufsveranstaltung für Liköre und Kekse gebucht. Zum Schluss, die freie Zeit reichte gerade einmal für ein Getränk und Toilettengang. Viel zu kurzer Aufenthalt im Ort.

Gebucht wurde nach nochmaliger Nachfrage bei der MA von TUI, ob die PREMIUMTour mit einem kleinen Bus erfolgen wird. JA. Die böse Überraschung, die Tour war offenbar überbucht - auch unser Guide war davon mehr als überrascht. Mit einem großen Bus wurden wir abgeholt und zum Schiff gebracht. Auch die Tour auf Gomero erfolgte mit einem großen Bus. Wo ist hier der Unterschied zu normaler Tour u Premium? Die Dame/Guide war ausgezeichnet und meisterte die Situation bravourös.

Besonders hat uns die bevorzugte Behandlung beim Check-in auf der Fähre gefallen - wir hatten keine Wartezeit - konnten sofort auf die Fähre und hatten unseren abgetrennten Bereich. An dieser Stelle auch noch einmal ein dickes Dankeschön an unseren Guide Sophia - alles wissenswerte über Land und Leute wurde uns sehr anschaulich vermittelt. Ein großes Lob auch an den Busfahrer - wir fühlten uns mal wieder absolut sicher .

The seat belts on the pickup and drop off coaches didn’t work and arm rest wouldn’t stay up. The VIP mini bus on La Gomera was not in good condition and extremely narrow inside. The Guide tried hard but with 3 languages she rushed the cometary and we struggled to understand what she was saying. The information about the trip before we left was limited and we were not advised how cold it would be on the island just that we needed a jacket as it could be cold on the ferry.

Nicht gefallen: - Großbus anstatt anstatt angekündigtem VIP-Kleinbus - englisch und deutsch anstatt nur deutsch - Frühstücksqualität auf Fähre weit weg von VIP - Qualität Mittagessen: billig (Erbrechen einige Stunden nach vegetarischer Variante, Zusammenhang natürlich unklar; Ursache Hoteltesraurant aber unwahrscheinlich) Gut gefallen: Engagement der Reiseleitung; Tourführung) Fazit: 160 Euro pro Person viel zu teuer; verdient den Namen VIP-Tour nicht.

Leider war die Abholung viel zu früh angesetzt Wir waren 1.5 Std. zu früh am Hafen Unser Kleibuss kam nicht mit nach Gomera Auf La Gomera hatten wir 2x den Bus wegen technischen Problemen (Klimaanlage, Mikrofone) wechseln müssen, wobei auch der dritte nicht funktionierte (zu kalt). Der Technische Zustand der Fahrzeuge war generell fragwürdig !! Für den verlangten Preis könnte man mehr erwarten. Nicht Tui würdig.

Although this is advertised as a VIP trip I wouldn’t rate it as such. The only VIP is a reserved area on the ferry and in my opinion there are nicer sitting areas, The trip was on a standard coach with appx 25 in the group, I was expecting a more personalised experience. The guide was speaking in English & German and the crossover was indistinguishable, so much so that I eventually switched off. As a UK customer I found myself in the minority, in fact we, as a couple, may have been the only one

We weren’t told that breakfast was provided on the ferry hence we got up extra early to have breakfast in our hotel before we left. we spoke to others on the tour who had the same experience The guide was great but being hard of hearing we found the erratic switch between English and German difficult Time at visitor centre too short to see everything and at other locations too long

Die Organisation war Spitze, der Bustransfer, das Übersetzen mit der Expressfähre, die Auswahl der Route und Sehenswürdigkeiten auf La Gomera, alles super. Der fachkundigen Reiseleiter konte einen guten Überblick über die Insel mit ihren Besonderheiten vermitteln und auch viele Fragen der Reisenden kompetent beantworten. Diese VIP Tour war perfekt, der höhere Preis gerechtfertigt.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the island. We were not so keen on the shopping opportunities to buy local products, cookies etc but that is probably just a personal preference. The ferry access was a little difficult as the lift was not working and my husband found walking up the ramps, dodging cars a difficult experience after a long day.

Picked up by Sophia at the hotel in a standard coach, driven to the port and transferred to the ferry as foot passengers, the seats are not VIP, but are standard seats reserved at the front of the ferry, not the best place to be if you get travel sick. We were serve an aircraft type breakfast of a roll, ham, cheese with a small slice of cake plus coffee. We transferred to a standard coach on La Gomera (not VIP), we were a group of 22. The trip around the island was interesting with lots of stops

Fantastic guide (Sophia) who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She went above and beyond to pick me up and drop me off later from Los Gigantes. A long days excursion but worth it! VIP refreshments on the ferry were a little disappointing. Coffee stop was excellent. Lunch was great and entertaining at the restaurant in the national park. Spectacular views. Very competent driver.
