Ecological Park and Butterfly Garden Danaus Morning

Head over to Danaus Ecological Sanctuary and Butterfly Gardens and discover this peaceful ecological reserve. In this educational experience, you'll learn about how a group of environmental conservationists helped regenerate and protect this natural haven. The project has helped promote sustainable tourism in La Fortuna and offers a trail where you can meander through a botanical housing of more than 600 species of plants and 40 species of butterflies. You'll also get to admire frogs in their natural habitat and medicinal plant gardens. This natural sanctuary also gives you the chance to access excellent observation points overlooking the wetlands where you can see the local wildlife such as snakes, turtles, alligators, sloths and birds. Finish off your tour with a quick visit to the Eco Center souvenir shop where you will be rewarded with a delicious snack of fresh fruit.
