What to expect

Join this tour for the road trip of a lifetime. Choose a safe and affordable way to explore the Western Cape, Little Karoo, Whale Route, Addo Elephant National Park, and Route 62.

DAY 1: CAPE TOWN – HERMANUS – CAPE AGULHAS

Depart from Cape Town on Monday morning. Visit a colony of endangered African penguins at Betty's Bay. Spend the afternoon in Hermanus, famous for southern right whales during the whale season (July to November). Drive on to Cape Agulhas, the most southern tip of Africa, and visit a viewpoint known as the “real” place where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet.

DAY 2: CAPE AGULHAS – OUDTSHOORN

Travel to Oudtshoorn via the Route 62. Have a lovely lunch and wine tasting at a local winery, and end the day with a tour of the ostrich farm.

DAY 3: OUDTSHOORN – KNYSNA – SEDGEFIELD

After breakfast, explore Wilderness National Park with canoes on the Touw River. Leave the canoes for a 2 km hike to a waterfall and rock pools. Spend your late afternoon exploring Sedgefield.

DAY 4: SEDGEFIELD - TSITSIKAMMA – ADDO

Travel to Knysna for some shopping and free time. En route to Addo, stop at Bloukrans Bridge to view the world’s highest bungee jump bridge (216 meters).

DAY 5: ADDO – WILDERNESS

Enjoy up to 3 hours of exploring the Addo Elephant National Reserve, before heading back to Wilderness

DAY 6: WILDERNESS - CAPE TOWN

Spend the day exploring Mossel Bay and arrive back in Cape Town in the early evening.
