What to expect

Kayak through the Stockholm Archipelago during this 2-day eco-friendly outdoor adventure, starting from Stockholm. Explore the natural beauty of the Archipelago, from rocky shores, sandy beaches to some wild forest. Place your tent on one of the small islands and have dinner on an open fire. Enjoy a magic night under the stars. This tour is something not to be missed; everything is taken care of, and your guide will make sure that you stay safe during the whole tour. As you paddle, listen to your guide's commentary on the history, culture, and wildlife. This trip is suitable for participants of all skill levels.

Day 1:

It takes about 45–60-minute car ride to reach the departure point for this Kayak adventure. All multiple-day trips are held in the Central Archipelago. The departure point and route will be adjusted to weather conditions and the experience level of the group.

Before the tour starts, all camping equipment, food, and water has to be packed in the right manner. Now, the final step; you get advanced safety instructions and paddle techniques (to make sure that the trip is safe). The group starts with an easy paddle speed so that everyone can get used to their Kayak. After about 2 hours of paddling, it’s time for a first lunch break on a small, secluded island, maybe even with beach and the opportunity for a swim. Here, you will prepare lunch on an open fire. Afterward, the tour continues paddling through the maze of endless islands. On the way, you will see many birdlife and stunning natural sceneries. You'll finish the last paddle part and look out for the perfect wild camping location somewhere along the shoreline.

The active part of the day ends usually around 5–6 pm. Dinner will be prepared on a campfire and is usually ready between 7–8 pm. You can either choose to help or lean back. You could choose to enjoy the sunset and spend the evening next to the fire—a perfect ending of the day.

Day 2:

It’s early morning, and you will probably be awoken by white Swans flapping their wings on the water surface... or you could be awoken by the rays of sunlight touching your tent. Breakfast will be ready around 8 am. Enjoy your breakfast with some stunning views of the ocean. After breakfast, it’s time to pack the equipment and get back into the kayak.

Now, you make some miles on the water, a bit further out into the secluded part of the Archipelago—along all the small islands. Morning time usually offers the best kayak conditions, and paddling feels like kayaking on a big lake (flat surface). After maybe 2–3 hours of kayaking, your guide will prepare lunch and have a small hike to get some stunning views of the area. Now, prepare yourself for the last part before where you finally head back to the Kayak station... some more hours of kayaking between small islands that protect you from winds and currents.

The tour ends around 3 pm at the Kayak station, and the drive back to town takes about 40–60mins. You should be back in town latest at 5 pm.
