Complete waste of a day. The guide was bullied along by the tui rep behind us so got a whistle stop tour of salamis with very little info moved on to Famagusta and again guide rushing through any info so walked off an did our own thing with the same issues again in Varosha basically it was no better than a school bus trip being shouted at all day to move along if you like this’s sort of speed through history you’ll be ok if you like a bit more time on the floor an not sat on a coach avoid

Everything was amazing, the only difference I might make is to ensure all attendees knew to bring food or ensure a budget for food when going. This is very minor however everything was absolutely brilliant. Our Guide Olga was brilliant and was extremely knowledgable and answered all questions beautifully.

The guide was very informative and approachable. It was relaxed and very enjoyable. I have mobility issues and did find someone areas very difficult to manage and was unable to access some of the tour. Maybe adding to your information about the trips regarding the length you will walk and the amount of steps as well as some uneven ground will help people make a choice and avoid confrontation with the guide/ staff at the venues

All the trip was really well organised and Olga was full of very interesting facts and figures. Enjoyed all the stops and had a light lunch at famagusta at a little cafe she tecommended. Had to take our passports for the border crossings, which didn't take long to pass through.

We thoroughly enjoyed this day tour of Famagusta and Salamis. Olga the tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable regarding all of the facts and kept us all on time. The weather was cloudy during our walk around Verosha (ghost town), which we were thankful for as the day was really hot and sunny. Take a cap n shades!

We were very impressed with the Roman city. We enjoyed the detailed history and how knowledgeable our guide was. She was superb and could answer all our questions. Disappointed we had to find our own way to the pick up point rather than being collected from our hotel.

The tour was very good however the tour guide gave far to much information to process At the first page of information it should say about that there are uneven ground at the baths and steps to allow for people with disabilities to decide if this tour is suitable for their ability with the distance they have to walk and time spent standing while guides speak Overall good tour.

The day started with long wait to get through crossing on way to first part the coach had accident with a cyclist which I would say was a 50/50 on who’s fault it was when u say full day, time spent in host town and old town was not enough time was mostly set for the other parts of trip which I see as missleading this was not value for money also the over hour to get back over to south was too much

There was a lot of waiting around, particularly at the passport checking area, Salamis was ok but we have seen better in other countries. Famagusta is definitely underwhelming as it is basically a disused set of buildings that you can only see from the pathway and there is very little information available. I would recommend that this trip is avoided.

Guide friendly and informative Had to hand over passports and leave with guide/bus for duration of tour which didn’t feel totally safe Price charged by TUI rep we paid in euros at our hotel was more than cost on app and people on the tour spoke of paying different amounts Driver took care to keep bus cool which was appreciated

The day is long but organised well and the guides are very knowledgeable. My only comment is that I was looking to spending time at the ghost town Varosha but this was the last stop of the day so was rushed and we only had 30 minutes which is far too short to appreciate the history. Less time at Farmagusta would allow more time here. If you only want to visit the ghost town then I'd look at the Red Bus tour

Excellent local guide. Thorough explanation of history and background to the sites. Quality of coach and driver. Good pace and timings. Only downside was waiting for first pick up, more than ten minutes late but maybe not Tui to blame. We both came but with skin rashes on ankles and legs despite wearing 3/4 length trousers, socks and trainers from the salamis site we think. Again not Tui fault but an advisory before hand?

Extremely knowledgable and friendly tour guide (Olga). The history of the places visited was explained concisely, without bias and with humour. Driver (Theo) was thoughful and courteous. As advised when booking, some parts of the tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Tour bus seating is a little tight for taller people. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour (which included a visit to Varosha) and would definately recommend it!

For lang tid i Farmagusta by til shopping og for lidt tid i Varosha. Varosha kunne være en tur for sig selv. Det er det vildeste jeg har set. Det er den mest undervurderede oplevelse I har. Alle burde kende den døde by fra 1974.

You could do with a timed itinerary. travelling from, Nissi beach, you are in a coach with pickups, You don’t complete border checks until 10am, having left at 8am. There are limited places to get snacks or a meal, so grab breakfast or make sure you take something with you. Famagusta and the ghost town was our main reason for the trip, but you do get an hour at salimi Roman ruins, and you also get 45 mins ish at St barnabus monastery. The ghost town, you only get about 40 mins

The coach picked us up on time, the tour guide was amazing her knowledge was outstanding. The all day tour was very interesting with lots of information and attention to detail from the guide. We liked the trip even more due to not being stuck on a coach all day as the different locations gave us chance to get off the coach every 15 minutes or so.

Enjoyed the day overall. The guide was lovely and made sure we were all learning and stayed in the shade. I think more time solos have been made in verosha, felt like we were only allowed to walk down one street and then made to get back on the bus. Other people had scooters, bikes and their own little bus to explore everywhere, would have preferred the option to do this and more time on our own

Betalda stolar med längre benutrymme blev inte rätt inbokat och uteblev En dansk guide, av tre, på hotellet kunde ge bra och rätt info. Kakelakor på rummet inte så trevligt. Sopor utanför i >30 graders värme. Mycket störande musik utanför med en presentatör av programmen inte skrek utan "tjöt" ut budskapet i tio dagar, på högsta volym, omöjligt att gå och vila före 22.30 Frukosten var utmärkt, ordning och reda, trevlig persona och god mat.

All good apart from going to the monerstery it’s a waste of time and completely **********, then could have spent more time on the other stops get rid of it on your tour people would appreciate it ??

Guiden startede med at sige, at hun ikke ville snakke så meget, og at vi bare.kunne spørge hvis der var noget. Derefter snakkede hun uafbrudt til vi var retur. Hun var bestemt dygtig, vidende og flink, men hun gav ikke pauser til vi selv kunne snakke om tingene eller gøre tingene lidt hurtigere i middagsheden- hvor vi stod længe og lyttede til guiden. Hun kunne godt have været meget mindre detaljeret og stadig givet så meget! Guidenhed Olga. Selve turen, og det vi så var fantastisk

What an amazing experience. Our guide Olga was so knowledgeable. She told us everything about the ruins in Salamis , the lovely town of Famagusta and how Varosha became a ghost town. She made us so relaxed at the passport check points. For the entire excursion she was giving us information . She was happy and answered any questions. I would highly recommend this excursion and i don't think you can improve anything. Olga made it fantastic.

Excellent
Enjoyed our tour to Famagusta and Salamis with our guide Olga, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. Did take a bit of time going through check points both ways. Lunch was not included but at Famagusta you are able to find food within the lovely little streets. Ghost town of Varosha was an experience, surreal and thought provoking.

Excellent Overall, I would have liked to visit more of Salamis Archeological Site, I would have liked to have visited the Agora and the Roman villa etc., and the old port road which we passed on the left as we came from the Monastery of Saint Barnabas. All is well. Kindest Regards, David

The first part of the tour was a total waist of time. The guide didn't shut up and give you a chance to digest anything, she kept repeating herself. No one was told to take suncream and no one new we would be left standing around in the scorching sun. The ghost town was what everyone was interested in and we didn't get enough time there. Waist of time and money.

We had a brilliant day out. Felt very safe. Guide was excellent, the lady was full of knowledge and provided excellent explanations on our sight seeing trip. Only negative comment was that no food was provided and we found it difficult to get something to eat within the time frame and converting currency. We ended up leaving the cafe as service was bad and time was running out. A sandwich and a drink would have been welcomed in the price of the ticket. The tour was well worth attending.

We throughly enjoyed learning the history of Cyprus. We were touched and saden by the situation in Famagusta. Plenty of stops so didn't feel we were sat on the bus for long periods of time. Olga our tour guide was absolutely fantastic very knowledgeable and presented information in way that wasn't overloading and easy to understand. We would to have less free time and more time in the old ghost town other then that a brilliant day out.

When booking the tour we were not told that passports were needed. I took a photo of the booking incase I didn't get the email, I was told that I did not need them. Told to be outside the hotel 15 minutes before pick-up time, which we were. The coach was 30 minutes late. A TUI rep ask our names and if we had our passports! We did not, so my husband rushed to our room on top floor of the hotel to get them. The TUI Rep guide walked too fast. My husband asked four times for her to slow down. Rushed

This was a great day and Olga our guide was amazing and you tell how passionate she was. She took all our needs into consideration and was so friendly. She made this trip so informative and relaxed. Couldn’t ask anymore from her, she was amazing and George the driver was great too, a smile on his face all day. Would really recommend to appreciate what has happened in Cyprus and how two sides live separately but together. Good value for money.

Bus driver was driving while on his mobile phone for part of the trip. Saw the same and worse while with Tui in Croatia last year. That should be banned from Tui everywhere. Handsfree would be fine if absolutely necessary to talk while driving.

Salamis was interesting, Varosha was sad but very good. Famagusta was pointless as we were dropped at a monastery and told to be back in an hour. Nothing there to do and at that point in the day it was just too hot. For the guide to tell you that it’s expensive to buy coffee and cake but he gets it free was not good. The guides accent was very difficult to follow, at times he became animated in what he was saying and spoke so fast you couldn’t understand him anyway. Lunch wasn’t great.

We booked as a big family 10 plus 4 month baby. Buggy for the baby was tricky at Salamis. Probably too much really so I would say not suitable for very young children. Rep might want to advise this. The terrain underfoot was difficult at Salamis. The rest of the day was ok but as we had to keep getting the buggy on and off, we were always at the back and last to join the group. The guide always waited but felt a bit awkward. Lunch was tricky too. We arrived last so our party split 3 ways.

The guide was very informative and interesting to see how Famagusta is after all these years. The only negative is sat on the coach waiting at the Turkish boarder but nothing can be done about that. Overall a very enjoyable trip.

The tour was very good and interesting. The guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. The coach arrived 30 minutes late and we were waiting in the hot sun with very little shade. The bus was cramped with little space between the seats. Lunch was OK but below standard.
