The staff were very knowledgeable and shared cool details about the animals and made it fun. We loved that the staff all enjoyed their job.

£150 for just over 1hour at park. Picked up at hotel at 8.30, Bus was tired, no air con. Arrived at park just after 9.30, then you have to register before you can get transport to animal park. Arrived at animals at 10. Its a nice little park but we felt rushed as we had to be back by 11.15 to catch bus back. Bus was like a sweat box on return journey. At the park it says animal park is between 2-3 hours, i didn't realise that 1/2 hour is for transferring around site. Not worth the money.

a wonderful park, in a beautiful setting. The staff were amazing, especially as I had recently broken my foot... they arranged special transport for me , totally free and went above and beyond for me. The cafe is amazing, with wonderful views. Really loved all of it.

I thought the guides were very informative. We felt we didn’t get enough time. We thought the duration of the trip was 4 hours but we actually only got 1hr 35 mins in the park which meant we missed the sloth feeding.

The only thing I didn’t like was the long wait to check in. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked the way the sanctuary was laid out lots of shade with trees creating a canopy everywhere. Although the animals were caged it felt more like a park than a zoo. Good value for money I would recommend a visit.

Lovely place to go to fill a couple of hours away from the pool. Staff are very helpful and are always on hand to give advice and instruction. The animals are easily visible and the information given by the keepers is excellent. The place is very clean and tidy.

The visit was overall very pleasant. Just one comment: DO NOT advertise free Wi-Fi when the system does not work and there is no Internet connection.

Loved seeing these native animals and insects of Costa Rica and hearing their back stories about why they are there, eg being hit by a vehicle and injured etc The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the animals, with plenty of information for you and easily able to answer questions. This is a great trip for guests staying at the Riu hotels as only next door so no long travelling time needed.

Way,too expensive its just a zoo. Gone to Costa rica to see wildlife in a wild. This is not the right experience for it. Too overpriced

Seeing the vast array of creatures interested in their surroundings. The guides were brilliant sharing their extensive knowledge and passion for wildlife for as long as you wanted to learn.

Really nice animal sanctuary and plenty to do even if you don’t like ziplines etc. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I went on a quiet day and they were walking me through the exhibits and giving me a lot of information even though it was just me

Love it here, just a shame that some of the exhibits are dark cages - like old school zoos. Most zoos, sanctuary or wildlife parks now have more open and true to life exhibits

We were told the feeding times and the guides gave very good talks about all of the animals. You could see many animals such toucans and sloths up close. The Sanctuary was a pleasant environment with shade available from trees. We spend about 3 hours here and really enjoyed it!

Enjoyed seeing the sloths and jaguars feeding. If we'd missed the feeding slots and guides' talks the visit would have been disappointing for the price charged.

we booked this excursion as a half day trip, but once we had been dropped off at the park we were told pick up would be at 3.30pm or pay 90 USD for a taxi back at 12pm. The receptionist at the park was very good and did contact TUI as our tickets clearly stated half day trip and including transfers. However, as TUI took a while to get back to her she told us to go and look round the park and to return for 12pm. as there are shuttles involved this meant we had to get back to the entrance for 11.45am to be told that our taxi would be 12.30pm. This meant that part of the park was not seen because of the time wasted at the start and at the end and although TUI did pay for the taxi the whole morning was spoiled due to worry especially as the trip is so expensive We enjoyed the park, but are glad we did only a half day as there are better activity trips but the wildlife part of the park is good, although expensive. This does only need one morning.
