The north of Gran Canaria has the wildest and most rugged landscapes on the island and the coastline winds in and out with impressive cliffs.
First you will visit some of the most emblematic towns on the island, Ingenio. The town of Ingenio will surprise you with its picturesque beauty that preserve its historical heritage, that owes its existence to the cultivation of sugar cane.
Then you may visit the old town of Arucas, which has a historical and artistic interest and where you can find the Parish Church of San Juan Bautista, which is the architectural building with the greatest presence and social.
After that you will visit Teror. This is a pilgrimage destination for the islanders of Gran Canaria, with the Basilica of Virgen del Pino, patron saint of the Diocese of the Canary Islands.
The historic center of Firgas is well also worth walking to enjoy the Paseo de Gran Canaria and the Paseo de Canarias, walks in the heart of the city.
Next follows the Port of Las Nieves, which is the coastal area of the town of Agaete. Nowadays, it has become the main maritime connection of Gran Canaria with Tenerife. This is a charming and picturesque fishing village located on the north coast of Gran Canaria. The small beaches are impressive and although they are stony, they have cold and crystal clear waters. The image of the Partido del Roque, popularly known as "God's Finger", has gone down in history.
