Nestled at the foot of the rocky eminence where stands the castle of the Anjou family, Loches is one of the most picturesque towns in central France.
The main sight is the Chateau De Loches, a 9th century edifice consisting of the church of Saint Ours, the royal lodge built by Charles VII of France and the donjon, prison where the Duke of Milan got emprisoned and died.
Loches has also a town hall and several houses of the Renaissance period.
